Rebekah Sinclair writes books that bite back.
Dark rom-coms. Greek mythology retellings. Wicked fae. Billionaire antiheroes. Her stories blend unhinged humor, high-stakes heat, and emotional wreckage you’ll thank her for later.

With 11 published novels (and plenty more on the way), Rebekah has built a world of morally gray men, stabby women, and plot twists that hit like a betrayal kink. Whether you’re into serial killers with soft spots, gods who fall too hard, or fae realms soaked in shadow, there’s a love story in her lineup that will ruin you—in the best way.

Off the page, Rebekah is a single mom to five wildly chaotic kids and four fur-babies (two cats, two dogs, all equally dramatic). Writing started as her escape. Now it's her full-blown career, complete with exclusive covers, spicy book boxes, and signings where readers show up wearing eyeliner sharper than her plot twists.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably hiding from her kids in the pantry, pretending to be brainstorming.

Welcome to Rebekah Sinclair’s world.
The spice is high. The stakes are higher.
And no one makes it out emotionally intact.

Part 1

When I picked up this story, tbh, my expectations weren’t the highest…
How wrong I was!!!!!!

The passion Elena and Damien shared was incredible!!!
Their chemistry was spectacular!
Their story may have been spicy, but it had plot and emotional background.

Both main characters were remarkably portrayed, neither of them lacking maturity or sophistication.

I can’t wait for the next part!!!! 😉

The way I felt so many damn emotions reading this book I thought was gonna be a quick spicy little dark romance. The author does a magnificent job of creating the perfect atmosphere of tension, chemistry, slow burn, anger, and love. The power these characters bring forth is inspiring and while I spent most of the book feeling like I was walking a tight rope, I loved every second of it and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Rebekah Sinclair has done it again— I am OBSESSED! 😍 I fell in love with Elena and Damien’s forced proximity/fake marriage turned falling HARD for each other. (Also I see the Vampire Diaries’ adjacent names now 👀 lol so close!). I got so emotionally invested in their story and couldn’t put the book down. Like my emotional support kindle was chained to me the whole time I was reading. Any time I put it down I would just pick it right back up and read more. (I may or may not have lost sleep because I couldn’t stop reading 😅)

I’m not really sure how to rate this; it’s a tricky one. I love how it started and how it went between them, right after they see each other again, but it just fell flat for me, unfortunately ☹️
I do love dual POV’s, so I enjoyed that, but I think maybe 🤔…I would’ve liked more conversation between them and not just their inner dialogue? Who knows, but it was not a bad book, per se, just a bit boring and mundane.

Slow build and then boom!

Omg! Ok so this seemed to be more of a slow build to me plot-wise, but when it got cooking, it cooked! The tension was tension-ing and when the spice hit, it hit! Oh and Adrian is the new Flint (iykyk).

This was such a fun and quick read for me, and I loved that it was inspired by Pretty Woman. I have always loved that movie so to read a book inspired by it sign me up and this book did it so well. Elena was the escort who was contracted as a fake fiancé for Damien who has strict rules/contract in place for their agreement that includes no physical intimacy to keep the lines between professional and her heart clear. I really enjoyed Elena who was really smart and driven and was working towards owning her own business and the money from this contract would allow her to get her dream spot that had special meaning towards her. When you find out her life story you just have to admire her for everything that she had done.
With Damien he needs a fake fiancé to help close a business deal and by pure chance he meets Elena prior to the contract and ends up falling for her fast and hard to imagine his surprise when the escort is the woman he fell for. I loved that he fell hard first but when he finds out she is the hired fiancé with a strict contract in place he actually respects that and doesn't try to push her to do anything different even though they have been previously together. So, he tries to keep things professional and tries to resist his feelings for her because of the contract but there are small ways that come out that let you know that he really has feelings for her like getting her a real one instead of her fake one. Your heart also breaks for him when you find out his story as well with what happened to him not only growing up but also with his last serious relationship. Just made me so happy these two amazing people found each other and found love and their chemistry was off the charts in and outside the bedroom.
I also enjoyed the glimpses we got of Lucien who was the owner of The Black Ledger, and I am excited for his story which I think is the next book. This book doesn't have a cliff hanger, so I think each book is a standalone. Also, the villain in this book I forget his name I just wanted so many bad things to happen to him because of the shit he was doing to Damien but especially for Elena in the present and in the past. Oh, I hope Lucien takes care of him because that man was pure scum.

Overall, I loved the plot and the characters and had a fun time reading it and can't wait to read the next installment.

This book is about Elena who is an escort with the Black Ledger and tomorrow she signs a contract with a new client to pretend to be his fiancé in order for him to close a big deal. But just because she is an escort doesn't mean she is easy as she has a strict no kissing or sex policy. This is to keep the boundaries clear and her heart out of it. But it's her last night of freedom so she goes out to celebrate herself which means going to her favorite restaurant to enjoy her favorite meal. But it's not just her tastebuds that were tantalized that night as she ends up having a night of passion with a mystery man with no names or expectations just pleasure. She sneaks out the next morning thinking that she will never see him again that is until he walks into her client meeting as the client. Turns out her mystery man is none other than billionaire Damien Wolfe who basically owns this city and her too now for the next two weeks. Well, she is a professional and she is going to get through the next two weeks pretending to be his fiancé all while pretending that she doesn't know what it feels like to have his hands on her. But when a nightmare from her past turns up threatening to destroy not just the deal Damien is trying to close but also destroy her as well. She will do everything she can to stop him, but it might mean she loses everything else in the process including the man she wasn't supposed to fall in love with.

4.5 stars.

Trigger warning: off page mention of rape, on page physical violence against FMC, off page mention of alcoholism and child neglect.

I really liked this book. It’s Pretty Woman, done really well. Not going to lie - this is a trope I love but which is rarely done well. Given that, this book exceeded my expectations.

She’s an escort, on condition of no physical intimacy. He’s a billionaire obviously. They’re both gorgeous. She has an agency which sorts out the contract between them. He falls hard and is obsessed. She is badass. She’s also intelligent and I like that she had dreams of going into business. I also loved that the agency protected its own. It’s steamy and yet nicely plotted and well written. Some details were more fairytale than real life, but hey - this is a pretty woman retelling. I’m not expecting it to be grounded in full on reality. I liked Damien’s friends Marcus and James, and I loved Lucien (from the little we got to see him).

I’d definitely reread this again. Read it!

The way the plot was plotting >.< I thought my kindle screen was gonna crack from how hard I was squeezing it. This book is like… if Guy Ritchie had directed Pretty Woman. the modern equivalent of the classic story but with the spice factor dialed up to 11 and with Julia Roberts’ role being replaced by a commanding, dynamic, cunning FMC instead of just a rags-to-riches damsel. Elena is fire from start to finish. Damien is arrogant and puts the ‘wolf’ in Wallstreet from a business standpoint but has all the nuanced tenderness that makes him more than just a pretty face in an expensive suit- he is Elena’s perfect foil. You spend the first half lost in the fantasy and romance of it, and the second half is all grit and action and heartache that spikes your adrenaline. I could not put it down and it had all of Rebekah’s signature banter and *HEAT* all tethered to the most tender trauma healing romance. 10/10 all day. Loved it.

We’ve got a fake fiancé setup (my weakness), a billionaire who is actually likable (yep, it is fiction), and a heroine with a spine of steel who doesn’t let anyone bulldoze her. There are Pretty Woman vibes, sure—but it’s not a copy-paste. It’s sharp, it’s spicy, and it moves fast.

The chemistry? Off the charts. Like, “someone hand me a fan” levels of heat. But what surprised me was the emotional bite underneath the banter. You go in expecting fun and steam, and then boom—feelings. Not in a heavy, soul-crushing way, but in a “oh no I care deeply about these people” kind of way.

It’s the perfect binge read: spicy, fast, fun, but with just enough edge to keep it interesting. This is perfect read to to get fake relationship, real tension, a layer of mystery that is unfolding and just enough nostalgia of early 90s romance.

Soooo Good

Thats was soooo friggin good. Bravo on the pretty woman crossover all the good lines were there and the people ugh to good. You have FMC who is an escort and she is celebrating something big when she meets him. Our MMC see her and thats it he has to have her. She breaks her rules and goes home with him. Fate has a funny way of laughing at our best laid plans. When a contract comes through with enough of a bonus to leave this life behind shed be crazy to pass it up right. Ill give you 2 guesses on who she finds standing before her, but i bet you will only need one.

As they fight the attraction they have everyone fooled except for adrian(the biggest fouche ever, just wait you will know why) he could wreck the deal and their new budding feelings.

The spice is chefs kisses, you have to read this book I promise you wont regret it.

Oh my… fanning myself here — this one is seriously sizzling! The chemistry between Damian and Elena? Off the charts. The tension, the way they interacted — ugh, perfection! And can we talk about how refreshing it is to finally have a non-player hero? Yes, sir, we love to see it. And Elena? What. A. Woman. Classy, stunning, and with a spine of steel. I absolutely loved them together!

If I could wish for more, it would be a bit more yearning and growling from Damian — I needed to feel that ache for their love and forgiveness even deeper. And I definitely wouldn’t say no to a longer version of them as a couple. Sigh. Still, it was guuuuud ✨🙉

The Contract is the first of The Black Ledger Billionaires. This book starts the series off in the best way possible.

Elena and Damien's story may not be conventional, but dang is it worth the read. The way the story starts, builds, builds, and then throws a curve ball. Elena is a strong FMC who knows her worth and refuses to bow down to others. Damien is a wolf of a billionaire, who knows what he wants and goes after it. In this case, it is Elena.

The way everything comes together after the twists and turns, perfection! I absolutely loved this story and can't wait for the rest of the series to release.

Once I finished reading this book, I read some of the reviews and agreed with a lot of their issues. But all I could think was I don't care. It's odd how hard I fell for Elena and Damian. It might be that so many books are focused on the 18-22 aged FMC, it's a breath of fresh air to read about a woman who is an adult, with adult mannerisms and thought processes, who can hold intelligent conversations. She didn't have body betrayal syndrome, she owned her choices and feelings. She was classy, and although she was playing a part, she felt genuine. She was a true partner. I don't know if I'd want that all the time, but it was definitely a welcome change!

4.5⭐️ 2.5🌶️

Really enjoyed this story!
Damien is disgustingly rich, fiercely protective and utterly obsessed with Elana who in turn brings her own feisty personality to the table.
The chemistry and spice were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and angst. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

RS writes some serious green flag men. Like honestly top tier and I love the chemistry and banter. Also her spice is 👌🏻But the storyline in this one was mind numbingly boring. Then it morphed into Pretty Woman fan fic and I just lost interest. I'd give the others in this series a go, but this one wasn't for me 🫣

Did anyone proofread this?

Chapter 3, Damien says
Like she wasn’t in my bed, moaning my name, looking at me with those same hazel eyes that are now pretending I’m just another client.

She obviously wasn't moaning any name since they never told each other their names.

Chapter 7 got a whole repeat of text (in the middle and in the end).

Some chapters later:
I settle onto the couch, gripping the remote a little tighter than necessary. I already know exactly what this is about.
And I already know I’m not going to like it.
The second Calloway clears his throat, I know exactly where this is going.

We get it, you know it all.

Some chapters later:
Two knocks followed by the door opening rip the intensity of the moment away.
I yank my hand back, stepping away just as Marcus and James stroll in, wearing matching Giants jerseys with bold lettering across the back:
MR. & MR. LANGSTON.

How could you see what's written on the back if they are walking towards you?

Some chapters later:
I hadn’t even realized she’d thought to bring anything other than the flowers for Margo.
Elena brought a gift to the birthday party of Margo's husband. WDYM you didn't think about that?! What kind of wattpad writing is this?

The reason his mother and father died seems extremely exaggerated…very wattpad writing.

When my parents died, I didn’t just lose them. I lost everything.

How about aunts, uncles? Grandparents? Cousins? Non-existent? Of course….

So Damien has hotels over the world? And wants to merge with Colloway. Anything about this merger is just lightly touched upon giving it no meaning or any significance. It seemed like the writer didn't know the first thing about mergers or deemed it not important to provide more details about it to make it at least a bit realistic.

The scenes that provide the opportunity to show development are skipped all over or very fast and are mostly described by inner monologue. This saddens me, because this book has so much potential. The only dialogue seems to be between Damien and Elena. Any other dialogue between other characters is just a sentence or two.

Although I like the writing and the attention paid to certain details, these overlooked details are spoiling it for me.
The writing is too focused on just Elena and Damien. Ending is also sudden.
