Over all I enjoyed this book! It gave a great overview of Jesus’ leadership in the gospel accounts. I appreciated the questions at the end of each chapter for personal reflection, group discussion, and to invite feedback.

This book lost me a little in the both broad and sometimes narrow applications, it felt like a good introduction to leadership but lacked some of the depth. And ultimately didn’t feel like anything too new.
Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a Christian leadership book to go through in a group, I think I would have benefited from discussing it with other leaders!

This was given to me as a gift, as leadership books are so long and too much detail, it was hard to figure out what to work on. A friend gave this to me, and it is not only easy to read, but it is so easy to take the 5 simple concepts and put them into practice so that you become an easy-to-follow leader.

We've all had toxic leaders or leaders who we wonder how they got there - they are hard to follow and why so many of us leave the organization. By practicing these simple 5 things, I do believe I can be an easy-to-follow leader, and others will want to work with me and report to me.

Great, simple book with a lot of impact!

Easy to Follow by Lyle Wells (with Kat Armstrong) is a refreshing, practical take on leadership rooted in the example of Jesus. Instead of chasing performance or platform, Wells challenges leaders to focus on purpose, integrity, and relationships. It’s clear, convicting, and incredibly timely. Whether you're leading in ministry, business, or life, this book offers a healthier, more sustainable way forward. Highly recommended for anyone tired of toxic leadership models and ready for something more meaningful.
