It takes a special book to grab my attention and get me to power read through a story, and this one has that special touch.
I think this is the first book I have read by this author, and it will certainly not be the last. The plot was engrossing and believable. The twists are crazy, and Williams keeps the reader on their toes!
I loved the two main characters. They are perfectly matched, and together they are fire. Steamy and inventive. I cannot say enough about this story!
Vigilante Honor is a part of a series, and while I wish I had read the first two for more of the back story, on its own, it is a fabulous story. So much so, I went back to grab book two. I guess I am reading this one out of order, but I need more from Williams!
If you love romantic suspense, this is an awesome read that will keep you engaged throughout the book!

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Southern Justice series. I have read the first two books in this series before picking up this book. I really feel this is a series that you need to read in order because a lot of the background on the girls stories are in the other books. I feel the background brings a lot to the table in this book as well. I have been wanting Sloane's story since the first book, and I really loved it. There is some crazy twist in this book, and I loved the suspense/action. I loved the connection you could feel for the two main characters, and I loved the push/pull romance they had going on. Great read. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
This is the final story in this superb series telling Grace, Pia and Sloane's stories. With each book we uncover the hidden secrets in the girls lives and how sometimes family isn't just by blood but those who we choose to have our lives. Saving Sloane and Remy until the last book brings the whole story to a complete and unexpected end. Secrets are uncovered that could finally uncover more hurt and tear the couple apart. Remy is a born protector and would willing give his life for those he loves. Sloane whole life is helping find kidnapped and trafficked young people to help them find peace, but at what cost to herself. Can the pair finally acknowledge their true feelings for each other or will hidden secrets and family loyalty finally be their undoing. Sit back and enjoy the twist and turns and a compelling climax the series deserves. The ending isn't always the end of a story
Going to be another favourite author. The friendships. The families. The story and the unexpected connections. The plot twists. They went through really bad stuff and came out so strong on the other side. Their integrity absolutely shines through.
What an absolutely amazing experience! It was a suspenseful, compelling, and gripping
read. The secrets come falling out! Some secrets Sloane (nor I) was ready for!! This was a great finish to the Southern Justice Trilogy. The action and drama don't stop. A true page turner and edge of your seat read!!. Some romance is the cherry on top! I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest review.
I enjoyed the Southern Justice trilogy. Every female character is a strong woman who has survived some unimaginable things. Each time the past catches up with their present, they are able to overcome. There are a lot of secrets and as Sloane and Remy wade through their past, they can finally find a future together. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Vigilante Honor is the third title in the Southern Justice series. I have loved this series so much, and finally, we get the story behind Sloane’s and Remy’s tumultuous relationship.
You “could” read Vigilante Honor on its own, but you’ll have a much stronger connection to what is happening with Sloane and Remy now if you’ve devoured the past of all of these characters. Grace and Javier, Pia and Sam, and now Sloane and Remy… all together tell a complex, harrowing, intense overall story, so yes, I’d recommend reading in order if at all possible.
Sloane and Remy have been dancing around each other since she and her friends were rescued from a sex trafficking cartel. They set sparks off of each other, both in frustration and attraction, yet they’ve managed to avoid romantic entanglements… up until now. Sloane is dedicated to her career at the FBI, bringing in the criminals behind the anguish and capture of innocents. Her goal is to set every person free from this (or any) cartel’s possession. She’s realistic enough to know that is a mountain of a goal, but she’s chipping away at it, case by case. Now it seems there is a vigilante out there doing what she’d do if she were free from the laws she’s centered around. And her latest assignment means that she has to take down this person no matter the cost.
Remy has loved Sloane for so long now. Yet there is that barrier between them that keeps him from pushing for more. A barrier they both erected. Now, Remy has even more reason to keep the woman he loves at arm’s length, for her safety… and to keep his secret undetected.
I absolutely love this final story in the series. Vigilante Honor by Amber Leigh Williams was everything I’d hoped for, and so much more. If you love a well-written romantic suspense with real danger, friendships, and a couple that really deserves to find their lifelong happiness together, no matter the hurdles they have to jump to get there, then you’d love this one. I wish the series had continued even though I know the story arc had completed, but I’m looking forward to what the author brings us next.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or the author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Vigilante Honor is a good conclusion to this trilogy about three women and their lives after surviving trafficking. I missed book 1, Grace's story, but I read Pia's just before this one and liked it. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll stick to impressions and hope for the best.
Sloane and Remy are both in the previous book and I presume the first one as well. But in spite of knowing each other for more than a decade, romantically, they've just been dancing around each other. I feel like some of their story was told in previous books and that's a little bit frustrating in terms of reading this one as a standalone. But as long as you just go with the flow, it ends up being enough. Sure, I have questions about both of them that weren't answered here, and I'm not sure they were previously, but it it eventually comes out in the wash.
I commend the author for writing about an incredibly difficult but important topic such as human trafficking, but i would have liked this book to include a little bit more about what happened to Sloane in Mexico. Instead, the storyline is more about Sloane's present and Remy's past.
Put the two together, are great. Sloan is badass, and Remy loves that about her. He keeps a few too many secrets, not my favorite trope, but it doesn't drag out unnaturally. Overall, I enjoyed this book.
I received an ARC of this book for free from the author and BookSirens. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!
Now that I've finished reading Amber Leigh Williams's Southern Justice series, I find myself trying to figure out which of the three books is my favorite. Do I really need to choose a favorite? Probably not.
VIGILANTE HONOR gives us the story of Santana "Sloane" Escarra and her one-time bodyguard, Remy Fontenot. In the years after being rescued from being trafficked in Mexico, Sloane has become an FBI agent working in the Crimes Against Children division. Remy is now a bounty hunter. Their paths cross again when they're both looking for the same person of interest, though for different reasons.
Secrets keep Remy from giving in to the attraction he has for Sloane. Sloane is dealing with a difficult case and accepts Remy's help (and hacking skills). What they discover will either tear them apart or make them stronger.
Sloane is a strong, capable woman who has turned a horrifying experience into an outlet to help others out of the same kind of experiences. Remy's past is a mystery to Sloane, but his past hold secrets that won't stay buried forever.
Looking at what I've written so far, I find myself dancing around what I want to say, and how to say it without spoiling anything. Maybe it's best to keep it simple: Sloane and Remy -- strong characters, dedicated to using their experience and abilities to help others. A trafficking enterprise in their sights. Love and desire hang in the balance. Read it!
I received a digital advance review copy from the author through BookSirens, for which I thank them. All opinions are mine.
This is the third and final book in the Amber Leigh Williams series Southern Justice, and it does not disappoint! FBI Agent Sloane Escarra is tasked with finding Loup-Garou, a vigilante who is raiding trafficking rings in New Orleans. She is familiar with sex trafficking, as she and her friends Grace and Pia were being trafficked in Mexico twelve years ago. Thus, her family goes beyond the family that raised her; it also includes her friends who help her get through life. Remy Fontenot, former bodyguard and rescuer of Sloane, ex-Navy SEAL, and hacker is now a bounty hunter. He returns to New Orleans and when he learns that Sloane is assigned to find Loup-Garou, he wants to do what he is good at and that’s protecting her! At the same time, he is trying to prevent Sloane from learning who he really is. Remy is the man that Sloane has always wanted but could never have. They have a push-pull relationship between them. He admires Sloane and has never had this much trouble leaving something behind. However, Remy has lots of secrets. As Sloane’s investigation proceeds, more secrets come to light. Will they finally realize what they have together, and can they deal with all the secrets that are learned? This story is filled with twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the very end!! I received a copy of this book via BookSirens and my honest review is my own voluntary opinion.
Sloane is an FBI agent working in New Orleans on a case and her guardian angel Remy is also kind of working the same case as a bounty hunter. The case is about sex trafficking and Sloane is very aware of the effects of sex trafficking having been abducted with 2 friends and taken to a place in Mexico to be used by a deranged man. The case she is working on is about a vigilante known as Loup-Garou. Who is taking down places where young children are being sex trafficked. Remy is also “working the case” from another side. Sloane is and always has been attracted to Remy, even if he can’t seem to get past himself or his past to be with her. This is a complex book with family being important yet disappointing and lovers connecting and finally getting together as they should be. The book deals on sex trafficking and its long-term ramifications on those taken.
Remy and Sloane. Shes an FBI agent. Hes a bounty hunter. They have history. They are brought together again. Shes hunting a vigilante. Remy a former seal and former bodyguard has a secret that will change Sloanes feelings. Or maybe not. And who knew eating crawfish could be so sexy.
The charecters are complex and suspensfully secretive and trying to deny their feelings. Has danger, action, mystery, secrets revealed and a twisted ride of emotions and events concluding an intense spellbound romance that will grab on and not turn you loose till the end. Not necessary to read the first two books but they have a lot of charecter history and background you wont want to miss out on.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The suspense, mystery, bonds of true friendship, overcoming challenges, facing up to mistakes of the past, the rebuilding of New Orleans, description of the city and its surrounding....amazing.
I've waited for Sloane & Remy's story, believe me it is not what I expected! 🧐, it seems there are some very deep secrets that are unraveling.
As with Grace and Pia's stories, Amber Leigh Williams doesn't shy away from the impact of sex/human trafficking on everyone involved.
Although the books can be read as standalone I would suggest they be read in order to get the full impact.
I received an advance review copy for free, this is my honest opinion and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Vigilante Honor is the third book in the Southern Justice series and wow what a way to end the series. This book can be read as a standalone but the series dhould be read in order to understand the extent of the damage done by sex trafficking. It is an action packed rollercoaster ride full of secrets, betrayal, friendship, mystery, family and redemption. This book entices and grabs you from first page to last. The twists and turns and utter betrayal Sloane feels throughout this series will hirt your heart. The character development is spot on and you will love and hate where needed. Sloane and Remy are perfect for each other. You must read to understand their true relationship and value to each other. This author never fails to disappoint.
This one put me through the wringer. I was waiting for Sloanes story. When I started reading it my heart dropped, I went oh no, that can't be. I kept reading because hey I needed answers, and I was invested in these characters. This was a gut wrencher, a heart wrencher and so twisted my jaw fell. It's also about the horrible reality of trafficking and was handled carefully. Remy and Sloan for the win. Well done! Now to see what else this author is releasing. Addicted. Thank you for the advanced copy, I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #VigilanteHonor #SouthernJustice #AmbreLeighWilliams #HarlequinRomanticSuspense #BookSirens
Another great read from this author. The tough FBI agent from the trio of sex trafficked rescued ladies will have some tough decisions to make. You can feel the chemistry and conflict between Remy and Sloane from the time he reappears in her life, and I just really enjoyed how the author got them to their well-deserved HEA. Loads of action, familial interference, and crazy villains keep you turning pages till the very end. Whilst part of a trio of stories, this like the others can be read alone. However, you will get more from the read if you have more of the back story from the previous books.
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
What a complex story - filled with multi-dimensional characters and a storyline that kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. And while I haven't read the previous two books, I really enjoyed Sloane and Remy's story - from the chemistry between them to the secrets to their true love for each other. Sex trafficking is such a horrible thing and thankfully the story doesn't contain any graphic details but rather deals more with the after affects for the persons who have been trafficked. There's plenty of suspense, danger, betrayal in the story but also loyalty and honor. Great read!
This is the 3rd book in the Southern Justice series by Amber Leigh Williams and this Sloane Escarra (FBI agent) and Remy Fontenot (ex-SEAL/bounty hunter) story. They met when she and her friends were rescued from human traffickers, now she is trying to bring the traffickers down via her job in the FBI. But she comes across a problem: there is a Vigilante doing what she would love to do if the rules didn't apply to her! These two both have secrets, and both have very strong feelings towards each other. What will happen next? Read on and find out. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Sloan became an FBI agent after her and her friends were kidnapped in Mexico. She works in human trafficking. She wants to save others as her and her friends were saved. Remy was part of the team that rescued them and has kept an eye on her over the years. A masked vigilante has showed up in New Orleans and she is tasked with finding out who he is. Action, betrayal that I didn't see coming and suspense. A fantastic story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Once upon a time Sloane's life was full of pain, darkness and hopelessness until Remi rescued her from a fate so few survive. As a way to exorcise her demons and help the helpless, Sloane becomes an FBI agent to take on the monsters that lurk around every corner taking lives that don't belong to them. Fortunately, or unfortunately, she's getting help from a vigilante that's not working strictly within the confines of the law and they must be stopped or not. Gripping! Highly Recommended: Read This Book!
This suspense filled thriller will break your heart an help it heal.Sloane joined the FBI to track and arrest human traffickers. after being trafficked when she was a teen and her two friends she help save she knew what she had to do when she finished school.Remy has loved Sloane since the first time he laid eyes on her but he knows he has too many secrets for it to work. There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.
When Bounty Hunter Remy gets to involved in a case that Sloane is working on, his misdemeanours cant be found out while investigating a trafficking ring.
Suspense and drama loaded with a friction filled this book to the brim. Remy and Sloane both have their missions that kind of correspond but they also have their own goals that neither can stop.
But that connection also pulls them toaster l together as well.
Very well done, it was a thrill ride of a book. Great work!
Vigilante Honor is the 3rd book in the Southern Justice series by Amber Leigh Williams. Having read the previous books I couldn't wait to see the next part of the story line. I do believe although it could be read as a stand alone, having read the previous two books would certainly be a good thing to have done. I loved Sloane's story line, and it had its share of twists and turns. I would recommend to others. I received an ARC from BookSirens and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
Really good enjoyed the story and the characters. It was different because you don't really see many books with Human Trafficking in them. So this was a stand out for me. Would read from this author again.

Vigilante Honor is a great read full of action and suspense. It will suck you in from the beginning and keep you hooked with all the twists and turns as secrets are unraveled. I love the characters, the connection and the undeniable chemistry. It’s an entertaining and gripping story.
Vigilante Honor by Amber Leigh Williams is the third of Southern Justice series. It has characters interlinked with the rest of the books in the series but also a good standalone romantic suspense story.
