-His partner, a grumpy alpha bodyguard who can’t seem to take his eyes off her
-Her hot-and-cold older boss whose scent melts her anxiety away
-The mysterious alpha who helped her through her heat and haunts her every thought
-And a mystery fifth mate whose appearance proves their Fated Connection is very real.

With danger pressing in from every angle and the world around them in chaos, can this makeshift pack find a way to come together? Or is Bea cursed to always be Waiting for Fate?

This is the first book in a non-shifting omegaverse duet and ends on a cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed in book two!

WARNING: This book ends in a cliffhanger!

MCs: Sabine, who goes by Bea(FMC), Shiloh, Orion, Lex, Ridley, Creed (no swords cross)

Okay, let's start by saying this is a "light" Dark Romance. We do not have an established pack, and our MMCs are reluctant; this is one of our FMC's main hurdles in this story. This is also a book with major political themes; please be aware that this could be triggering. This story can be read without reading The Primordial Covenant duology (I chose to read this book first), but it is recommended.

Moving on, Bea, our FMC, is such a strong, badass boss woman character; she is confident, independent, and honestly, she blows me away; her boys, however, are about to face significant character development! That is not to say that I dislike any of them; in fact, I love each of them; they just each have issues they need to work on, and it really affects their relationships with Bea(except Ridley, he really is a gem❤️).

This story was pretty fast-paced, kept me on the edge of my seat, was exceptionally well-developed, and had a collection of engaging characters. I 100% recommend reading this book!

I was curious enough about Bea from the last books to keep reading.

I'm torn on how to rate this book.

Most of this book is told in the other two books with a bit we didn't get to see but could have speculated about from there. Plus the povs of two new characters.

Having literally just read the previous books, I found it really boring. Some of it even felt like we were just recapping (telling) what was going on instead of showing. While i dont need to have whole conversations repeated, having them summed up and told to me didn't help this story. Since several of the main characters played roles in the last one, it felt cheap to tell us what happened instead of showing us.

We are told it is recommended to read in order but we can read this story without the first if we wanted to. But I think the story would have been stronger just staying you need to read the first duology before these books and then having an official summary of what we need to know from there before the story starts. Even if we did start at the beginning, we then could have cut a lot of telling out and focused more on the new bits in a way that showed us what was happening and the beginning wouldn't have been dragged down as much. I think this is the biggest downfall in stories that overlap with previous books and is something i find very few authors can hit the balance of to keep me entertained about the new without me feeling bored of the old, especially when you already know where the old will take the characters.

I also really don't like when stories tell us something and then the action is put on pause as we time jump back to tell us what another character went through to get us to the end of the previous chapter before moving on. Especially since we don't get warnings most of the time and are put in a place where the characters aren't where they should be. It throws me out of the story.

That combined with the way we overlapped books 1 and 2 almost made me quit reading. But I did like the new information presented for the most part and I did like getting to see the new characters. I wish there was a better balance of new and old information so that the plot of the first two books did not take most of this book to get through and I didn't know what was going to happen overall for most of this book.

This is book 1 of Bea’s story. We first met her in The Primordial Covenant Duet (the first 2 books of the Soulbound Omegaverse) as a prominent side character. There will be a Part 2 published June/July 2025, this book ends on a cliffhanger (but come enjoy it with me!). It is definitely recommended that you read The Primordial Covenant Duet before this one for lots of world context.

There are several things I love about this book.

This book runs in a parallel timeline to The Primordial Covenant Duet (PCD), so we get to see the other side of all of Omen’s plot line. I really really like that! I was worried we might miss some of the relationship development that was seen happening in the background of the PCD, but we do not! This adds some additional context and viewpoints to everything that happened then.

Bea has 5 mates. In this book we have a really staggered introduction of said mates and widely varying romance levels. Pack-building is not normally my preference, but I really like that these guys are not fitting perfectly together. I love that we have (at least) 1 very genuine desire for romance, so not everyone is reticent. There is a very engaging variety of emotions and variety of backstories.

This fated mate group has a shared pain connection. I LOVE the fated connection device in this universe and I am really enjoying that we get to see a different type than in the previous duet.

💜The Mates💜
-Her golden retriever bodyguard who swears she's meant to be his from day one
-His partner, a grumpy alpha bodyguard who can't seem to take his eyes off her
-Her hot-and-cold older boss whose scent melts her anxiety away
-The mysterious alpha who helped her through her heat and haunts her every thought
-And a mystery fifth mate whose appearance proves their Fated Connection is very real.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. I think it will be a FANTASTIC addition to omegaverse lovers’ TBR and must read lists. The world is unique, the omega is a strong bad*ss, the budding romances are swoony, the connections are electric, and the stakes are high.

I enjoyed this story a lot, it kept me interested throughout with the plot and characters and the pacing felt good switching between the action, letting relationships develop and the plot twists. I loved the concept of the bonds of pain being the fate linking Bea to her fated mates plus it reflected the trauma of most of Bea's men too. This series is definitely medium to fast paced, varying between the love interests based on scenarios and the development pace on individual basis. The plot has me intrigued for the next part and I can't wait to see what happens next! The world building definitely has me looking forward to seeing how all the different type of bonds unfold with future series maybe! Another side character whose tied into the plot, Omen, has a complicated past which is a major part of the plot and I will definitely read her story at some point! Can honestly recommend this book for a change of pace on omegaverse books!

Our fmc Bea is a strong omega who knows what she wants and isn't ashamed to say it. If she wants a knot, she speaks that truth and isn't afraid to tell alphas nor men what she thinks which I love! Onto her men now: Orion is one of her troubled alphas whose suffered a traumatic loss in the past which puts him off finding a fated mate and led him to leaving his past band. We have Shiloh whose Bea's new boss and he is very against the idea of sharing a mate based off past experiences leading him to be Bea's second troubled alphas and he loves control and showing Bea's brat side whose boss.

The next Alpha is one of my favourites of her alphas: Ridley whose a bodyguard for Bea during the band tour she's on and he is one green light alpha whose right away willing to be with her and had a positive upbringing compared to the others. Ridley is just sunshine and I loved their few dates and outings. Lex is another bodyguard whose on the tour also but he is the last of the troubled alphas of Bea's. He has a lot of trauma that he doesn't want to burden Bea with and had a rough upbringing so he is very stotic and doesn't speak much less than grunts when prompted. Lastly is Creed who we get a few moments with but both Bea and he don't meet until much later in the book and I can't wait for their relationship to develop given the scenario in which they meet!

I knew this was going to be good. But, I didn't know it was going to be this good!

Waiting For Fate is Bea's story. We were introduced to Bea and a few of her alpha's in Omen's books, so I feel as though we have some understanding of Bea. She is beautiful, determine, kind and I love her fiery personality. Her alpha's, on the other hand, I'm not totally sold on all of them just yet for various reasons. Bea's alphas include Ridley, Lex, Shiloh, and 2 others that i am keeping as a surprise. My favourite of course is Ridley, he's just a ball of energy and fun.

The plot was incredible. Bea is smashing it in the music world as a band manager in training even though there are so many threats with the group that is trying their hardest to gain more and more power (Montgomery c***- iykyk), that's what Ridley and Lex are with her for, as bodyguards. What she is struggling with most is her alpha's. She is aware of them all in one way or another. However, only some of them are wanting and willing to try to be in a pack with her. Bea goes through so many ups and downs with her alpha's, but I love that she never loses herself. She knows what she wants and deserves and will not tolerate anything less. That cliffhanger, though, i was not prepared for it...

I really need to know what happens next because, well, I just do 😊 Oh, and be prepared to cry a load because I did.

Thank you so much, J.C. and your lovely team, for the opportunity to read this story. I am extremely grateful 🙏

3.75⭐️ Ugh my heart hurts for Bea!! But this Omega is so strong because if it were me I'd totally give up on some of these Alphas! Fate-matched or not!! This book follows Bea, Omen's sister/bff from The Primordial Covenant duet. You do have to read that duet before you read this one otherwise you will be completely lost and some of the villans overlap. Part of this books timeline also overlaps with the prior duet so you can see what is happening from Bea and the guys pov. I really enjoyed that it did because there was a lot of stuff where I was dying to know what was happening between her bodyguards and also her boss! Their fated connection brings on an entire different level of sorrow I have for her. But fates new she could handle it and these tortured Alphas! They need her so badly even if some are so stubborn to give in! And I will be so here for it when that happens!! All of the Alphas have their stuggles and each one of them has to get over their mental hurdles. Bea does have one mystery Alpha that she hasnt met yet and while we did get I think one chapter pov from him I cant wait to get more!! This cliffhanger took me out! I wanted to yell in these Alphas faces that this is what happenes when you are too chicken shit to make your fated mate Omega your number one priority! Starting book 2 immediately!

This novel can be read before or after Omen's duet. If you read the Primordial Covenants Duet, Omen and Bea are great friends and roommates. Omen's bodyguard Lex, is Bea's romantic interest and we find out more about him and how he started working with Omen.

I really enjoyed how Bea's story unfolds differently from Omen's. While Bea's journey isn't as angst-ridden as Omen's, it's still an entertaining read. Each of the male characters has a distinctive, likable personality and a well-developed backstory. Her boss, Shiloh, comes across as somewhat wooden and robotic, though I assume that's simply a reflection of his personality.

On to the MMCs:
Orion - Helps Bea through her heat. Has a shattered bond (6 years ago) when his mate died in accident. Shiloh helped facilitate his recovery

Shiloh Acherley - Boss, annoys Bea when he calls her by her full name. Orion's former band manager

Lex - Omen's bodyguard. Works for DAU - private org that advocates freedom for all designations and pack dynamics (like FBI).

Ridley - her bodyguard

Creed - we probably know the least about Creed. But he's acquainted with Lex

Looking ahead to the second book, there are many unanswered questions, and the foundation for the harem still needs to be set. In this book, however, the harem aspect is largely absent, as she is solely committed with Ridley. The others have yet to fully address her as their mate.

Bea is a strong, independent Omega, and I respect the heck outta her. I loved her in Omen's duet when she gave Pack Graves their due talking to, and I only love her more now. Her Alphas, on the other hand. Phew. They need something upside their heads. I get it. Most of them have major issues. One of them has too good of a heart and can't stop chasing justice when his Omega needs him just as much as those he's trying to help. But COME ON, boys. Bea deserves sweetness and all the attention she can take. And she's just not getting it. But as I said before, she is independent and a lady boss, and she doesn't let those silly Alphas keep her down. They have such potential when they get their heads on straight, and I want most of them on their knees, begging, in her conclusion!

I could have used more of Bea and Omen story time. Their friendship was prevalent in Omen's duet, but it was harder to sense here. Hopefully, they undergo some girl shenanigans soon!

I have been waiting all year for Bea’s story and it’s finally here! I was not disappointed in the least! While you don’t have to read The Primordial Covenant Duet first, I do highly recommend it. There are aspects of this book that could otherwise be misconstrued or appear to be going too fast without that background knowledge.

But in any event - I LOVE BEA! She is independent and confident and knows her worth. I really enjoy reading from her POV. The guys in this one are all damaged in their own unique way (with the exception of one) and already the character development we’ve seen has been awesome and I can’t wait to see how things evolve in part two of this duet. Despite the push and pull, the spice was pretty good, too, if you’re into that sort of thing! ;)

This world is overrun with a lot of pack/designation politics where people tend to take things to the extreme. That means there is very real danger that the characters face and is very prevalent with a traumatic cliffhanger. I’m so nervous! I cannot wait for the conclusion of their story!

After reading Omen's story jumping into this book was so satisfying. Getting to see Bea's perspective was such a breath a freash of air compared to other interconnected stories. It gives you time to see why Bea felt the need to stand up for Omen as much as she was and getting to see her reasons for things. I do love that the Author gave us a character that is having issues with the connections to more then just 1 one her mates. It shows us how strong Bea really is to overcome these obstacles.  Now with as much as I loved this book, I don't know how I'm going to be able to read another book before book 2 comes out. We get left on such a cliff that diving into the next release will be such a cannonball, I can't wait for it!

If you are thinking of reading this one, jump in head first. It's such an amazing read. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a book with multiple love interests that will keep you on your toes so much you can't put it down.

This was another amazing Omegaverse book by J.C. Belenac.

The Fated connections in these books is such a unique concept. I loved it in Omen’s duet, and it is extremely intriguing to watch it play out much differently in Bea’s story.

I really liked Bea when we got to know her as Omen’s best friend and adopted sister. Her story is full of drama and honestly, more heartbreak and rejection than most omegas should have to endure. I loved getting to see Alex and Ridley’s side of things, as well as Shiloh. Orion was still a pretty minor character in this book, but his character was quite complex. I am definitely looking forward to seeing where things go with him and Bea.

There is a lot of drama and angst in this book and things are definitely interesting. This book does end on a pretty brutal cliffhanger, so be warned!

Overall, this book was excellent. Truly top notch.

i was so excited when this arc arrived. I loved the first duet of this series. I did enjoy this one but it was definitely not set up to be read separately, which is fine for the most part. the conversations with omen we shorter, almost left out, it was almost like we should have known what was said already. I still really enjoyed it but it wasn't the same with showing the relationship between omen and bea. I wish there was a little more with that. however! the last couple chapters? they made this so much better and I can't wait for the next book.

This story of Bea! I definitely need more. So good a story with the fated connections. Thinking no connections will ever happen but then life throws a curveball with showing her the mates she is meant for. There's her bodyguards, her boss, a mystery guy she met once and another who is an even bigger mystery. I love seeing Omen in here too but Bea is traveling with Omen so that makes sense. The stories are connected and I thinkg it is best to read Omen her story first but I can tell you that is no hardship. It is a good story, the characters are great and I can't wait for the next instalment!

Review: I did really enjoy this book, but parts of it are a tough read because these guys are not on their A game during this book. Most of these guys have a little bit of trauma, but they are definitely giving Bea a rough go of it.

Bea is awesome, she is ready to take the music industry by storm even though being an omega created some stigma against her in a power position. There is never any doubt that she is amazing at everything she does and she deserves better than what she got in this book.

I just hope that everyone gets together in book two because that was one heck of a cliffhanger.

Beas Fate Awaits!

I highly enjoyed Waiting For Fate! We were introduced to Bea in first two books of the Soulbound Omegaverse and we got all the fun details that weren’t included then. I loved that even if I hadn’t of read the first Soulbound books the story was still informative. I love the different perspectives of each character and how well built the story is. I can’t wait to find out what happens in Book two!

Good Read

As I get further and further into this series the books just get better and better. I loved the start of Bea’s story. I found myself engrossed in the story and I liked seeing Omen’s story from Bea’s PoV as well. Bea is a fantastic FMC, I love that she’s all soft and gooey but at the same time she is so strong. I can’t wait for the release of the concluding part of this story and I would recommend reading this book.

I love an omega-verse and this gave me everything I wanted within a world I already knew after reading the authors previous duet (Omen’s story). Lots of grumpy X sunshine relationships and pinning after each other. Very excited to see where the next book goes with the plot.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I really enjoyed parts, but other parts were a bit too gaggy for me. Some of the things the characters did seemed a little out of character in parts. I think Orion is my favorite character of the book. Also that cliffhanger!! I need part 2 ASAP.

Wow, this book kept me on the edge of my seat.
It's a maddening story where fate is constantly being fought.

The story is dark, suspenseful, and frustrating at times.
But it's a wonderful read and well-written.
I'll be moving on to the next installment soon.

✨ Waiting for Fate by J.C. Belenac ✨
🌶️ MFMMM • Fated Mates • Slow Burn • Bodyguards • Music • Forced Proximity

3.75 ⭐️ Mixed feelings—but hear me out…

Okay, this is one of those books where I can tell the writing is solid, the characters are layered, and the world is rich with political depth and slow-burn tension… but I still walked away feeling a little off. And honestly? I think it was a me thing. And I am 100% looking forward to the next book!

Bea (Sabine) is a powerful FMC—she’s smart, confident, and stands firm in her values, even when the men around her are still figuring out their own emotional baggage. Speaking of which… we’ve got Orion, Shiloh, Lex, Ridley, and Creed—and each of them brings something different to the table. Ridley in particular? 😍

The dynamic between Bea and her guys is a slow build (and I do mean slow), which I usually love, but this one leaned more toward setup than payoff. Most of the romantic focus stays on one of the guys, while the other bonds are still in development. There’s heat, but not full harem yet.

One of my personal hang-ups: the storyline runs parallel to Omen’s story (The Primordial Covenant duology), and while that might work great for some, it made this feel a bit repetitive for me. Like I was rereading moments from a slightly shifted perspective.

Heads up: there are heavy political themes woven throughout, and the book ends on a major cliffhanger—so be prepared to dive into book two as soon as you finish.

If you’re into slow burns, emotional tension, bodyguard tropes, and watching a reluctant pack take shape around a fiercely independent woman, this one might hit just right for you. It just wasn’t a perfect fit for me.. but I’m still curious to see where Bea’s journey goes next. 👀

UHHMMMM HELLO!!! That cliffhanger!!! 😩😩

Yes I KNEW it would end with a cliffhanger but still didn’t expect it to end like that. I need the second part NOW!!!

Where do I start soo much happened in part 1. Orion & Lex backstories are so heartbreaking.
Each guy is different from one another yet similar in a way.

I can’t wait for part two to see how they all become a pack since in the first part we’ve only seen them individually. Lex is the only one we really saw with Bea other than Shiloh helping her with her heat 🥵

Also can’t wait to see how Shiloh is going to overcome his aversion to sharing Bea with the rest of the guys. As well as seeing all the guys interact with each other.

One of the best OV’s I’ve read this year!! 💜 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

TAKE MY HEART AND JUST STAB IT, ALREADY. J.C. Belenac has written a great book with an interesting take on bonds in Omegaverse. This follows the story of Bea and her journey.

This is not your usual Omegaverse. Each Alpha on Bea's radar (her potential pack members) has baggage, and my god! Just love her. Please. Pain. No spoilers, yet there is a line near the end of the book that absolutely flayed me right open. This first book is definitely the Hurt, so I look forward to Book 2 for the Comfort because I need it!

The cliffhanger was SO GOOD and SO BRUTAL, and I need it resolved. I need Book 2. Immediately.

-- Quick Facts --
* Type: Contemporary Omegaverse
* MFMMMM (No MM | Alpha, Omega, Alpha, Alpha, Alpha, Alpha)
* A little bit of build-a-pack vibe (not an established pack)
* Book 1 of 2
* Hurt/Comfort
* Mind your triggers. Not super dark.

I did receive an advanced copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

First in a duet

Wow! I couldn’t put this down I really enjoyed it.
This is an RH Omegaverse with no MM.
The author gives this world a bit of a unique take on what types of fated matches there can be. And so as not to be confused we get a glossary in the back.
This is a very plot driven story where all involved have their own things going on so it takes place over months. The spice is great. And although there are very dark topics it’s for the most part off page.
There is another duet about her friend, Omen, that happens concurrently to this story. It’s not needed to read this one, but it gave me enough little nuggets to make me want to read it.
There is a cliffhanger so be prepared. I’m (im)patiently waiting for the conclusion!
