Mia is a woman of secrets-untouchable, elusive, a shadow slipping between reality and desire. By day, she is a mystery. By night, she is Amelia-the embodiment of temptation, a whispered promise in the dark, gone before morning.

Andres has always craved something just out of reach, a hunger he could never satisfy.

Until the night he sees her. Until her body moves like a sin he's dying to confess, and the fire buried in his past threatens to consume them both.

She doesn't remember the nights wrapped in heat and danger. She doesn't remember him.

But he has never forgotten. And neither has her body. Some flames never die-they only burn hotter.

At first I was like I don't know if this book is going to be for me, because usually I don't read anything like this book. But once i started reading I couldn't put it down. The story keeps you on your toes because you'll never guess what comes next. It's a very spicy 🥵 story. But it fits perfectly with the vibes of the story. The way the book is written is also very comfortable to read. Not too many characters. But still Liam and Emma are my favourite. And the peak girlhood moments singing Baby. While drunk. I'm definitely looking forward to the second book 😍

I liked how this started off, it’s different to the books I usually read but I enjoyed it. I could feel the chemistry and tension between Mia and Andres from the start and let me tell you it was hot 🥵

The one and probably only thing I didn’t like was the long chapters, I personally would have been happy with lots of shorter chapters but that is just my preference. It didn’t take anything away from the book. It was a great read that I really enjoyed, especially as I don’t read dark romances often but I loved this. There were also some minor spelling/grammar mistakes but this did NOT take away from the story.

As you read the book you could see there was more between Mia and Andres then just sexual tension. There was a perfect blend of tension, smut and storyline. Not too much and not too little.

When he took care of her 🥹🩷

My favourite quotes from the book -

“We all have fears," I added. "But fear doesn't make you weak. Surviving it? Still breathing after it tries to
take everything? That's strength."

“You are it for me,” he whispered. “In every version. Every name. Every fucking lifetime. If I had to start over a thousand times, I’d still find my way to you. And I’d choose you in the chaos, every time."

Enemies to lovers is one of my all time favourite tropes and I think Maria portrayed this perfectly between Mia and Andres.

The lovers part of the book was hot 🥵 let me tell you 😏

I loved Liam and really want his book.

There was parts of the book that I found funny, that had me smiling and laughing but there was also parts that made me sad or cry (especially the ending). Which made me like the book even more. (Even tho my heart is now broken)

The ending what the heck, I was SOBBING 😭😭😭. I need book 2 like yesterday because how am I supposed to wait.

10000000000% recommend you read this book NOW if you haven’t already. A very enjoyable easy read that I loved.

I'll start off by saying that the author provides such in depth descriptions of the characters that really helps you to get to know them and I loved that so much. The way places are described is also really detailed and helped me easily picture the setting. The tension between the main characters had me internally and externally screaming at times!  This book has humor, heartfelt moments between friends and lovers as well as moments that will have you questioning everything. Around 50% through I started highlighting so much because foreshadowing was going crazy! The ending had me like 🤬 but thank fu*k the second book just came out because I am diving straight into that!

And the side characters… don’t even get me started! I was laughing my eyes out cause they are so funny!
