Rebekah Sinclair writes books that bite back.
Dark rom-coms. Greek mythology retellings. Wicked fae. Billionaire antiheroes. Her stories blend unhinged humor, high-stakes heat, and emotional wreckage you’ll thank her for later.

With 11 published novels (and plenty more on the way), Rebekah has built a world of morally gray men, stabby women, and plot twists that hit like a betrayal kink. Whether you’re into serial killers with soft spots, gods who fall too hard, or fae realms soaked in shadow, there’s a love story in her lineup that will ruin you—in the best way.

Off the page, Rebekah is a single mom to five wildly chaotic kids and four fur-babies (two cats, two dogs, all equally dramatic). Writing started as her escape. Now it's her full-blown career, complete with exclusive covers, spicy book boxes, and signings where readers show up wearing eyeliner sharper than her plot twists.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably hiding from her kids in the pantry, pretending to be brainstorming.

Welcome to Rebekah Sinclair’s world.
The spice is high. The stakes are higher.
And no one makes it out emotionally intact.

Part 2

I had the best intentions for this part, yet I couldn’t be invested in it.
The sex club aspects and the heroine’s training didn’t interest me at all.
It’s absolutely me and not the book.

This is a 4.25 for me. I was really excited to get Lucian's story, and it didn't disappoint me. I think my favorite part is around 40% when Lucian does some really possessive things that I love in an MMC. I will say this book is a little spicier than the last, but it makes sense since there is an element of there being a sex club that is frequently attended. I think the spice in this book was really well done and I definitely felt the chemistry between the two MCs.
As for the characters first, you have Lucian who was definitely the morally grey type of character who does questionable things when it comes to the FMC, and I loved every moment of it. This is a type of character who won't say or even give a name to what his feelings are but god help anyone who even things to take her from him or touch her in any way even as innocently asking her to dinner. Now not all of his reactions were unhinged but his responses were not proportional to the "offense", so they had me giggling. He is also the type of character that due to his age, the situation and who doesn't think he is good enough for the FMC, so he pushes her away and doesn't commit while still not giving her up. Which means the FMC Sienna has to get creative to make him realize his feelings. Now Sienna is a softer FMC, but she is smart and sassy and as she builds up her confidence she pushes back more and more when it came to Lucian, and I loved seeing her grow into herself and I was just cheering her on so hard when she was essentially poking the bear.
Now for the story and plot I found it to be entertaining and had a lot of fun reading it. Not just the romance aspect but the conflict points as well. I am excited to continue the series, and I wonder whose story will be next. I can also attest this is a true standalone as the previous book/plot had nothing to do with this one, so they don't have to be read in order.

This book is about Sienna whose life has gotten really difficult. Her boyfriend cheated on her and broke up with her and has left her locked in a lease that she can't afford throwing her into debt. She really can't afford to lose her job so when one of her supervisors starts hitting on her and insinuating that her job and any promotions are on the line unless she does some favors. Well, she doesn't take very kindly to that and reacts accordingly that happen to catch the eye of a very attractive older man who not only rescues her from her supervisor but also offers her a business card telling her to show up if she wants a job. With no other options she decides to see what the job is all about. Little does she know she has stepped into the devil's playground, and he is never going to let her leave. Lucian the mystery man who offered her the job built The Black Ledger which offers escorts to powerful men for whatever their needs might be. These are highly trained women who offer companionship contracts be it for long term, short term, sex or no sex. The women set their limits and agree to the contracts that the men offer. When Sienna walked through the doors, she had no experience and was reckless and untrained when it came to the power, she wielded. So, she decides to stay through the training program, but the problem is that her trainer is none other than Lucian. It is under his training that she learns the art of seduction and how to use her powers to control the room and client. But soon the lessons turn intimate and eventually have Lucian breaking his rules of never touching one of his employees. But when a client tries to claim Sienna for himself it has Lucian breaking all his rules because Sienna is his and no one will touch her or take her from him, or he will burn everything to the ground.

Decent

Love jealous & possessive MMC's.

At 40 % he bought her apt building just so he could install new locks, a security system to keep her safe & cameras - yes, he's a little stalkerish.

Loved the smex scenes - the Diablo & all night oral was Hawt!
The "first" time they got together was Hawt!

The lots of kissing from him to her - loved it. He was kissing her at every chance he got once they got together.

He's jealous & possessive & refused to let her get contracts, refused to allow any guy to touch her or see/look at her when she was dressed in barely there outfits.
At 1 point the MMC orders one guard to remove his jacket so the MMC can cover up the FMC.

Esp Loved this because I HATE the smex club trope & I was stressed about them being in the club the entire time..
Yeah there is a scene in the beginning where the FMC watches the MMC have smex with another woman & is turned on by it..

Honestly, I nearly DNF'D right then & there. Factors that stopped me was - they were not together at this point they had barely said 5 word to each other (I think).
2. He watched the FMC the entire time,
From when she walked in & until she walked out.
3. I was promised a jealous & possessive MMC - which he is!

I was worried the entire time they were at the club that he'd be ok with other men watching ( I loathe exhibitionism) so super happy that the author didn't do that & that there were no ow.

Also was hawt that their first time together he went 'raw" for the first time ever with a woman. He even tells her this, that he did it on purpose with her for the first time.

Having read fifty shades of grey (and loved it). I'm just sooo tired of the BDSM, smex club dungeon rooms trope.

Like for real

I'm also disgusted by the constant use of public use smex toys. Gross.
In this case is a grinder on the MMC's thigh.
1st off WHY is he wearing it? Well because it's for woman to grind on his thigh & get off..
That the FMC snuck to his floor & he was already wearing it - was he wearing it because he knew she would show up?

Idk I have to go back & check. But still this is a "club toy" God knows how many else grinded on it? I'm sure it's been clean. But eww

And this is why I hate the smex club storyline . I love a reformed bad boy don't get me wrong & he truly had it bad for her..
But how can you build & maintain a relationship with a business like this?
The ow the MMC was f*cking (with another man btw) was she one of the MMC's personal contract? A f*ck buddy?

How can you have a relationship with someone when you are surrounded by meaningless smex constantly?
All this is t romance at all & now I'm actually kinda mad about the MMC sitting on his throne with a smex toy attached to his thigh when he did not know the FMC was a waking to him..grr

Lucian. FREAKING. Vale.
My new book boyfriend - no question. He has shoved every other fictional man off the throne and claimed the crown like the possessive king he is.

And the possessiveness? Done to absolute perfection.
Imagine this: you're casually seeing someone... and he buys your apartment building because he decides it’s not safe enough for you? Yeah. That’s Lucian. And I loved every second of it.

Lucian takes Sienna under his wing while training her to become a companion. He wants her, but he fights it, and still can’t handle the idea of anyone else even looking her way. And when she walks into the smex club (yep, his club - not that she knows yet), she ends up learning, exploring, and becoming his in every fiery, explosive, delicious way.

This is hands-down my favorite book in the series so far. The age gap. The smex club. The women holding the power in their professions. The slow burn, the tension, the chemistry - ALL of it hit just right.

If you’re a sucker for:

Obsessive, possessive MMCs
Power dynamics
Age gap
Smexy club settings
Women who own their power
...then you need to read this immediately.

**Content notes: This story takes place in and around a smex club. It includes escorting, kink, and adult content. You’ve been warned — and tempted. 😈**

So far I've read 3 books in this series. 1 was amazing, 1 was terrible, and this one was somewhat in between. The writing was good- honestly the writing in all of them has been good, but the plot didn't fully work for me. I feel like the escort side of things was lacking. It wasn't developed enough to have any impact and could've been so much more. Sienna never got trained to be an escort, she got trained to be a submissive and the fact that she went along with it was ridiculous. I liked the Masquerade/Devil side of things and would've preferred more of that 😈

Lucien as a character was great, and I loved the Lorenzo storyline and little snippets of action. It had some cool twists and really kept my interest. And while the chemistry/spice was definately there it lacked any real connection/affection. I think Lucian and Sienna had like two real conversations in this 440 page book and the rest was just training bullshit. Maybe that's because Sienna lost all personality once she got sponsored....who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not the best, but definately not the worst but I will read the rest of this series and see if there's another gem in there 😂

Holy Spice Batman

I’m loving the Black Ledger Billionaires series! Combining all of the tropes I’m a sucker for in a novel that packs a punch, Rebekah Sinclair has me addicted (as always). I’m obsessed with Sienna’s sassy and overall confidence as she moves through new situations. I also am obsessed with the Devil himself, Lucian. He may seem tougher than nails and no-nonsense, but truthfully he’s a teddy bear for Sienna and Sienna only. So excited to start on the next one in the series!

Another fantastic book from this author

I very much enjoyed the beginning part of the story. The tension, control tactics, anticipation, and chemistry as well as the spice. Most of their relationship centers around the spice and not enough building of the actual connection so it annoyed me when she continued to attempt to manipulate/ push him into corners. Overall, still another fantastic book from this author and I can't wait for the rest of the series.

This book took me by surprise in multiple ways, including a twist I didn't see coming. There is a rollercoaster of emotions, and action, and even the spice has delicious peaks and valleys. It is so dynamic and it keeps you invested from start to finish. Lucian is everything you want in a leading man and Sienna is smart and sassy and the perfect foil to him. The second book in this series, both easy 5 star ratings all day. Can't wait to see what happens in the next one.

This was 3.5 stars rounded up. There was quite a bit of repetition. Lucian was a terrible Sponsor although I guess you could argue he, subconsciously, had no intention to train her for someone else. Sienna would have been a terrible Companion. I don't blame her for acting the way she did. The epilogue about ruined the story. It was so out of character compared to the rest of the book.

I honestly have no clue how to rate this book.

I don’t like the whole escort trope. I know I probably shouldn’t have kept reading.
I don’t like reading about the leads banging others, no matter what the setting. The FMC gets turned on when seeing the MMC banging someone in his s*xclub. Big no for me, but It’s an escort trope in a s*xclub. So there is that… A whole lot of lust, wouldn’t call it love though. The story just didn’t have enough base for development of any love. Did not like the epilogue, the MMC turning into the toy of the FMC…just no.

However, the writing was good. The writer paid so much attention to details, e.g. how the purpose of the tasks where explained was good.
