A holiday in the Algarve, Portugal... sunshine... fun-shine was exactly what I needed. Time to be myself—time to rediscover the woman I was before the nightmares, bizarre dreams, and sleepwalking. Yet, I didn’t expect to meet Tomás Ferreira, a man made for pleasure. My heart raced with unfulfilled excitement, a fire burned in my belly, and swirling flames danced against my thighs. I was a glorious mess.
Where did Tiegan Moss come from? And why was she suddenly there on the Day of the Dead, the day the door to the otherworld swung open, the day the veil was thin? I had hidden in the shadows, content with a life only half-lived. You changed everything. You made me crave more. You made my blood sing. Lost in your kaleidoscope eyes, ensnared by the pout of your lips, I couldn’t escape. And I didn’t like it at all.
Could our two haunted souls find a future together?
I began my writing career in the pre-dawn of a winter morning while my husband snored like a train. We could call my husband the catalyst. If it weren’t for him, I would never have gone to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee, feed the cat, and sit on the loveseat in front of the fire. It was there, in those moments of wondrous quiet, that I did something I had never thought possible. I opened my laptop, and while the coffee went cold, I wrote a story. My husband had no idea that these sojourns to the loveseat in front of the fire would become a daily occurrence, that writing would become an obsession, but the cat knew. She knows everything. I write stories that make you laugh, make you cry, and make you love. Thank you, friends, for reading! In the beginning, there was an empty page. I am a writer who lives in Muskoka, Canada, with a husband who snores, a hungry cat, and an almost perfect canine––he’s an adorable little shit.
Two lost souls find each other in the heart of Portugal, but can they leave the past behind and walk together towards the future?
Tiegan needs to let go of the past and rediscover who she is, so she takes a holiday in Portugal. The last thing she expects is sexy as sin Tomas, a mysterious man who lights her heart on fire. The only problem is his hot and cold attitude. There’s a haunted expression behind his sultry gaze. One touch is all it takes and Tiegan yearns for more. Can she bring him out of the shadow of grief and into the light of the living?
Finding Tiegan is a sweeping steamy paranormal romance I couldn’t stop reading.
From the very first page, I connected with Tiegan. She’s such a complex heroine. She’s got a sassy side to her personality which I really enjoyed.
Both the hero and heroine are haunted by past loves yet there’s something drawing them together. What is it? I’m not going to reveal here but trust me, you’ll savor the touching moments the journey takes the reader on.
Hanna Park has a talent for writing unforgettable characters dealing with insurmountable grief.
Emotional, heart-wrenching prose take the reader on a journey of self-discovery, passion, and romance.
Thank you to Netgalley and Backlit PR for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
To be brutally honest when I saw the cover of his book, I didn't hold much hope for the contents. I am a true judge a book by it's cover sort of person. But on reading the synopsis again, I found myself intrigued. I love a paranormal romance, and when I read it was set in Portugal, somewhere, I have always wanted to go, I thought I would request the book. And I am so glad I did. I go so much more than I bargained for.
Tiegan Moss needs a fresh start and to find herself again so travels to Portugal on holiday to do just that. What she doesn't expect it to meet Tomás Ferreira, a man made for pleasure. Who has such an effect on her, he makes her heart sing. The chemistry in this book is off the charts, I was reading thinking is this a romance, erotical or paranormal romance. The characters are so complex I was moved throughout every genre as I made my way through the book. It kept me turning the pages and I will definitely look out for the authors future works.
The description used in the books is breathtaking and made me want to visit the Algarve even more.
An intoxicating blend of a sensuous setting, an exotic stranger, paranormal mystery, heartbreaking trauma, and mind-blowing sex.
The main character Tiegan blames herself for husband's tragic death and escapes to Portugal in order to find herself.
She meets Tomás, whose magnetic presence and undeniable attraction is more than compelling--it's otherworldly and inescapable. Their passion is all-consuming and exactly what Tiegqan needs.
Yet--haunted by grief and doomed by a dreaded prophesy, Tomás refuses to endanger Tiegan, and her fragile hopes for their future fall apart.
Can they banish the ghosts of the past, or is their love truly cursed?
A solid five stars for Hanna Park's debut Finding Tiegan. The setting and the characters are as vivid as they are sexy. When Tiegan left home for an overseas journey, after a bad relationship, I expected a straight up finding herself romance but this story is so much more. Suspenseful, mythological and very sexy. I thoroughly enjoyed this well written page-turner from start to finish. Well done!
"Fantastic!!! I was on the edge trying to read faster and faster but also like geez I'm gonna finish it really soon lol it was difficult mix of emotions but so worth it. Story was packed with mystery and questions that seemed to have no answer. I was addicted!!!!"
This was an interesting story. This is a new author for me, and one I enjoyed quite a bit. A holiday in the Algarve of Portugal is all Teagan needs in order to find the woman she was before the nightmares, outlandish dreams, and sleepwalking. But she wasn't expecting Tomás Ferreira, a man made for pleasure. Where did Tiegan Moss come from? And why is she suddenly in this place on the day of the dead, the day the door to the otherworld swings open, the day the veil is thin? Tomás lives hidden in the shadows, content, a life barely lived. She makes him want for the first time in a very long time. Can these two haunted souls find a future together? This book intrigued me from de beginning. Was it paranormal? Romantic? An erotic one? I really liked the idea of this book. It’s deep and engaging. There’s a lot of sex scenes and strong dialogs. The chemistry between them is right on the pages. Maybe the final plot was a bit too much for me, but the rest of the book is good. There’s this character that seems to be the bad guy and then just disappears from the story, and a few accidents that have no explanation by the end. Maybe a rush ending? Nevertheless, I enjoyed this one. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What a grand story in Finding Tiegan by Hanna Park. This story brings in very interesting characters and brings a lot to the story. It's not just about one person, but two souls, wondering how they connected. There are several layers to the story, and back stories that come out just when they need to. I haven't read work from Park before, but I've become a fan. The writing style fits this story, romance, erotica, and a chemistry connection that can't be explained. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. This author is a great storyteller. The story brings the reader on an interesting journey, right alongside the characters for an intriguing ride. I hope to read more books by this author. This author brings the story to life. The characters had a lot of depth and were very realistic. But who is Tiegan, really? Finding Tiegan is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review.
I just finished this book few seconds ago and I loved it. Portugal, People of Roma and a bunch of things I need to google. Impressive though my heart ached for Joseph. I had hoped a better ending for his relationship with Tomas.
Hanna Park's Finding Tiegan skillfully weaves a tapestry of romance, mystery, and the intriguing concept of fate. The protagonist, Tiegan Moss, embarks on a transformative journey following the loss of her husband and the end of a significant relationship. Her decision to spend three months in a quaint Portuguese town, indulging in local cuisine, picturesque scenery, and nurturing her artistic talents, marks the beginning of her healing process. Upon arriving in Portugal, Tiegan encounters Tomás Ferreira, igniting a profound and unexplainable connection. Despite the undeniable attraction and a shared magnetic pull, Tomás's enigmatic past and inner turmoil present obstacles to their budding relationship. Park explores themes of love, destiny, and the pursuit of truth as Tiegan and Tomás navigate their complex feelings for each other.
Tiegan's character is portrayed with resilience and fearlessness, willingly confronting challenges that contribute to her personal growth. Her unwavering determination to explore the depths of her connection with Tomás, despite his intimidating aura, adds layers to her character. Tomás, contrastingly, is depicted as a character grappling with his troubled past, leading to a self-imposed restraint that complicates their relationship. The rapid progression of their romance, underpinned by the notion of destiny, offers an interesting perspective on the concept of soulmates. The narrative unfolds through alternating perspectives, allowing readers an intimate glimpse into the protagonists' internal conflicts and emotions. As the story progresses, supernatural elements emerge, intertwining with a mysterious prophecy that hints at a deeper connection between Tiegan and Tomás. This blend of romance with paranormal aspects adds a compelling twist to the plot.
Finding Tiegan is a riveting novel that captivates readers with its blend of romance, suspense, and paranormal elements. Park masterfully balances the themes of overcoming dark pasts and embracing life, creating an engaging and thought-provoking narrative. Lovers of romance, especially those who appreciate a mix of eroticism, plot twists, and paranormal intrigue, will find this novel compelling.
If the steamy love scenes, intertwined with mysterious curses and from-the-dead revelations don’t get you going, then the breathtaking descriptions of a small Portuguese village will! The chemistry between lovers Tiegan and Tomas is immediate and white hot, as are the descriptions of the scenes. Hannah Park does this reader a solid in the way she draws out the attraction and consummation of lust and love between the protagonists. There’s a thread of mystery—a family curse—that the author sews within the plot, leaving her readers flipping pages anticipating its unthreading almost as much as the sex scenes between Tiegan and Tomas. Speaking of which, there’s not a scene that wasn’t fan-on-high hot; especially the shower scene. Dear reader, I’ll leave you with that as you furiously begin scanning the pages.
The descriptions of the drink, food, and settings almost stole the show—almost. I found myself whisked away to this lovely village, immersed in the love story between Tomas and his home. There wasn’t a venue that lacked painstakingly glorious details; I had no problems imagining the beauty of place or the accouterments the author used for a convincing, engaging characterization of people and places. The simple loving letters from home (Tiegan’s parents) were also a nice touch and paved the way to understanding of Tiegan’s past and present.
My only gripe—and it’s a very small one—is that I wanted more from the ending. However, as a fellow writer, I appreciate that the ending was left rather open-ended, which means a sequel is possible.
I recommend taking Finding Tiegan for a spin. It’s a page-turner and the love scenes will burn your fingers! Park’s descriptions of place add a sophisticated layer to an already great story.
Tiegen Moss's husband, Aaron, had an affair that left her in a tailspin and his subsequent death in a car accident shredded her heart. In order to escape her guilt and nightmares, she leaves for Algarve, Portugal and for a chance to reclaim the woman she was before the trauma. Tomas Ferreira is a man who is haunted by the memory of his wife who died in childbirth and he's never quite recovered. When Tiegen enters Tomas's restaurant, La Casa Rosalia, he is immediately taken by her, but her resemblance to his dead wife is traumatic and he shuns her. But her draw increases by the day, and soon he crosses a line that he vowed he never would. Throughout the story, there's a sense of foreboding and a mystery of a Romany curse. When it becomes clear that the curse lies with Tomas and his future children, he tries to protect Tiegen the way he deems necessary. It's a cold and hurtful decision that forces her into a choice to leave, but he can't ignore that he's governed by the curse. Later on, he realizes that Tiegen is his soulmate, but after throwing her away, it's not enough. The ending was a little rushed and the last chapter left me cold and confused. When Tiegen and Tomas are making love, the dead wife's spirit inhabits her body and Tiegen welcomes her in. "This was for her as much as it was for me. Sylvie lived and breathed in my soul. It was our secret, hers and mine." Sylvie was selfish and for the whole book she was trying to reclaim Tomas. For me, Tiegen lessened the sanctity of their marriage by accepting Sylvie in a threesome. The narration by Veronique Ludique was excellent with a clear, dynamic voice, solid pace and intonation.
Expect a love story. 💖 Expect a lot of spice (like a lot!). 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Expect some witchiness. 🔮 Expect some paranormal elements. 👻 Expect a pregnancy trope. 🤰 Expect obsession. 😍 Expect some political intrigue. ‼️ Expect HEA. 💫 And mostly importantly expect to go on a vacation to the beautiful Algarve. ☀️🌊
This book reminds me a lot of Eat, Pray, Love in that a person who is somewhat broken escapes to Europe for a bit of R&R and gets so much more than they expected.
The poetic phrasing and prose of this book are just gorgeous. There is no doubting Hanna’s gift for writing. This is a wonderful story to read in summer. It transports you to a beautiful beach town in Portugal. I felt so envious of these characters, especially Tiegan! I want the coffee, the pastries, the tapas, the slow days, the friendship! And maybe even a little holiday fling? 👀👀👀
But it is no ordinary romance. The twists are interesting and fun! Now I will say toward the middle of the book the pace is a bit slow. I wish the twists had come sooner and that we could have explored them more. All in all it was a fun adventure perfect for binging by the pool!
***special note: I did receive an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This story was a unique blend of romance, mystery, and the supernatural that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Portugal's Algarve region, the novel offers an intriguing mix of self-discovery, emotional healing, and otherworldly intrigue.
I enjoyed following the protagonist's journey as she sought to reclaim parts of herself that had been overshadowed by fear, nightmares, and uncertainty. The chemistry between her and Tomás was compelling, and their relationship developed in a way that felt both heartfelt and believable. The supernatural elements added an extra layer of suspense and wonder without overwhelming the romance.
The Day of the Dead setting and the references to the veil between worlds created an atmospheric backdrop that gave the story a distinctive feel. There were moments when the pacing slowed a bit, but overall, the plot held my interest and left me wanting to see how the characters' journeys would unfold.
I listened to the audiobook version, and narrator Véronique Ludique did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. Her performance captured the emotions of the characters and enhanced the immersive quality of the novel. A talented narrator can make all the difference, and she certainly added to my enjoyment of the book.
Overall, this was an entertaining and emotionally engaging listen with memorable characters, romance, and just the right touch of mystery. I would happily recommend it to readers who enjoy paranormal romance with heart and atmosphere.
Both Tiegan and Tomas have tragic pasts that continue to haunt them. There’s an instant attraction, but that can only ever lead to heartbreak. Can Tomas and Tiegan create something new together or will the past continue to weigh them down.
I can’t quite put my finger on what was off for me while reading this. The concept of the story was interesting, the setting fantastic. The characters were a bit flat and the dynamic of their relationship left me dizzy. The pacing felt very off. The two get together fairly early on in the novel, which had me questioning where are they going to go from here. The plot was also a bit choppy, there would be jumps in the story that had me a little lost. There was no real through line, just a piecing together of scenes that didn’t really flow. The same could be said of the dialogue, it didn’t really flow, and at times was very awkward for all of the characters, even the English speaking ones. Their interactions felt so brief, and I never felt like they had a meaningful connection. This was a let down, but I’m sure there’s an audience for it.

Tiegan is heartbroken after the devastating loss of her husband—even though he’d cheated on her and their marriage was ending anyway. She carries the guilt of his death. If she hadn’t kicked him out, would he still be alive? She goes on a trip to Portugal to try to put the past behind her and start a new life. Little does she know, she’s about to meet a man who will turn her world upside down, but he’s grieving as well. This story of two damaged souls coming together in a passionate love affair is entertaining, well written and compelling. The characters and setting are well drawn and realistic. I love Tiegan and Thomas and Tiegan’s best friend, Christina, is a great character as well. If you enjoy erotic romance and want a story that tugs on your heartstrings, Finding Tiegan is an excellent choice.
Do you believe in prophecy? Can a grandmother's words speak the truth? Hanna Park's debut novel, Finding Tiegan, takes the reader to a coastal village in Portugal where beautiful scenery, romance and superstition abound. Tiegan, recently widowed, leaves her home in the Canadian Maritimes to visit her best friend and hopefully re-energize and find herself. Although warned to stay away from the dark and brooding Tomas, Tiegan finds herself attracted to him and pulled into the world of the Romas (gypsies). Is Tiegan the one to fulfill the prophecy, or will she suffer from the curse made long ago? This novel is an enjoyable sizzling romance with a few twists and turns to add to the suspense. The author excels in describing the scenery, so much so that I want to visit the Algarve.
I like a book that grabs me right from the beginning, and that’s exactly what this one did. I started reading and then found it hard to put down. This story is so much more than an erotic romance. Not that there aren’t plenty of hot scenes, but the storyline is not just about them. Part mystery, part destined romance, part mythic and mystical tale, this one pulls you in. I particularly liked the wonderful, sensory details the author supplied for the setting, the Algarve in Portugal. I’ve never been there, but now feel as if I have, and I’d like to go! A surprising and satisfying ending (no spoilers here) makes this one a must read.
Finding Tiegan is a romantic paranormal romance set where dreams and reality merge. This superlative narrative will grab you from first page to last. This author has a poetic way with words, her world building and erotic characters. If you cannot image the Portugese seaside, the sea intense and calm, the food, the flowers and the people then you are not paying attention. The descriptions are intense and succinct. The storyline entices the reader with mystery, suspense, curses, prophesies and chemistry hot enough to burn the page. Thst being said there was a slow lilting quality to the romance. You need to sit down, take an afternoon and immerse yourself in this book.
Finding Tiegan by Hanna Park is a fantastic romantic paranormal story, full of mind blowing sensual sex, with two souls haunted by the past. Why do they meet in Portugal on the day of the dead?
It is a superb and sultrily crafted paranormal romance. I was fascinated by the allure of the characters and entirely charmed by every part of this novel. It’s a charismatic tale, infused with raw passion, absorbing torment, and the complex ballet of flawed souls. From its gripping beginning to its thrilling conclusion, this narrative is an irresistible luxury that demands to be savored.
I give the book 5⭐️’s. The story starts off with Tegan going on vacation to visit her friend. She soon after arriving runs into the one guy her friend tells her to stay away from Thomas. Both characters are struggling with their own demons from the past. The story is well written. Love the characters. The author had me believing I was right there with them. I love how the author goes about telling their past troubles. I would definitely listen to this again. Also, the narration was very very well done.
A Sexy Read You Can Respect in the Morning! Finding Tiegan by Hanna Park is an erotic romance with a dash of the supernatural. This well-written book is more than just steamy sex--although there’s plenty of that! Set in Portugal, where I’m going to visit for the first time this fall, and on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada, the novel is filled with wonderful local color and characters. Plus, the supernatural is right up my dark alley. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and think you will too! Note: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book completely stole my heart. It was such an emotional read and had me feeling everything right alongside the characters. It's a good Paranormal Romance story. Does have so much spice you'll burn your tongue while biting your lip. If you like stories chalk full of spice then you'll enjoy this beginning to end. I like the Paranormal aspect too. It adds another layer than just spice.
