The Last Triumvirate #3-4

Tandem Edition of Books 3 and 4: Clash of Stone and Steel & Nemesis Rising

Rate this book
This edition of Books 3 and 4 of The Last Triumvirate series contains both Clash of Stone and Steel and Nemesis Rising in their entirety. Because the stories overlap, this edition was created to allow the reader to experience both stories as they unfold rather than reading Book 3 and then backtracking in Book 4. The chapters of each book have already been put in the correct reading order for the reader's convenience.

Whether or not a reader will enjoy the tandem read format depends entirely on several
1. Doing the tandem read involves point of view (POV) switches between four primary characters, as well as switches from third person POV to first person POV between books.
2. The books are very different in tone. Book 4 is darker. Some advanced readers welcomed the shift in tone to break up the darker feel of Book 4, while some readers found it more difficult to shift.
3. Doing the tandem read will put you 'in the know' the whole time, while readers who do the sequential read may have unanswered questions at the end of Book 3 as they go into Book 4.

The author does not recommend reading one way over the other. The reader should decide what works best for them.

Content Advisory: Since this book contains both Clash of Stone and Steel and Nemesis Rising, the triggers and tropes for those books remain the same. This edition includes mature (18+) subjects. For a complete list of triggers and tropes, please see the author's website at www.karencpmcdermott.com.

To do the sequential read, please find the books under their separate listings.

About the author

Karen C.P. McDermott

5 books42 followers
Karen C.P. McDermott grew up reading historical romance novels and had dreams of one day writing them. When she later discovered the fantasy romance genre and realized that making up worlds was more fun than doing historical research, a new calling was born. The Last Triumvirate is her debut novel. When not writing ‘smut,’ Karen makes wine, gardens, does pottery, and conducts scholarly research on ‘trash talk.’ She’s been cited as an expert on this topic by ESPN and the BBC.
