Is there anything better than lounging on a sunny beach under a colorful umbrella, soaking up the sunshine and the salty sea breeze as you indulge in your favorite pastime—reading a romance novel? In the Romance Beach Bundle 1, USA Today Bestselling author Donna Fasano brings you three romantic books that are sure to warm your heart and put a smile on your face.
Nanny And The Professor –
Professor Joshua Kingston thought he'd found the perfect nanny for his son. But once Cassie Simmons stepped into his life, she turned it upside down! His son no longer played by the rules – and Cassie kept making up new ones. He would fire her – if he didn't find her so utterly enticing.
Cassie had a huge secret to hide, and she couldn't afford to lose her new job. But her handsome employer wasn't making things easy. All those silly rules. How was an eight-year-old boy supposed to have any fun? The professor definitely needed a lesson in laughter – and love!
Taking Love in Stride –
Track coach Andrea O'Connor is fuming at the audacity of Ian Powers, the very attractive father of one of her students. He offers to buy school equipment only if Andrea agrees to train him for a half-marathon.
Well, train him, she will. And not just in running. As a widower with a high-powered job, Ian needs some instruction in being a father to an active teenage daughter. Yet as this overbearing man opens up, Andrea finds herself learning lessons—in loving.
Ian knows that Andrea, with her assertive attitude and her penchant for stilettos, is some woman! But her vulnerable heart is on the run, so he'll have to prove that his love, unlike his running, has limitless endurance—and once he catches this swift beauty, he'll never let her go.
Mountain Laurel –
So what if Laurel Morgan hadn't had a date since the senior prom? If all it would take to convince her teenage sister to consider college was to go on a few dates and have some fun, it was a bet she could beat. And before she could change her mind, sexy forest ranger Michael Walker agreed to play the part of her ardent admirer!
Laurel never expected Michael's acting abilities to be quite so convincing. Whenever her sister was watching, Laurel found herself wrapped in a heady embrace with a passionate kiss on the way. Her captivating cohort promised a performance that would win her the wager, but when the curtain closed, would she lose the only man she would ever love?
Growing up the third child of five—yes, smack dab in the middle and the only girl to boot—Donna Fasano had no idea she would one day be a published author. Her story-telling talents came to light when she conjured lively and elaborate tales of pure blarney (yes, she has a bit of Irish in her blood) for her children.
The only book I read was Nanny & the Professor. The humor in the beginning was great, but to many descriptions of people & places seemed too overblown. It was an OK read. I will try another by the author to see how that is.
I love the humor and anxiety Donna writes in her books. Her emotions and situations are real and always a delight to read.
Nanny and the Professor: This book is pure mind candy. Cassie is obviously intimidated by the professor, but she is wise in ways the professor is not. Joshua does recognize this and falls head over heels in love with her but is unsure how to communicate his feelings to Cassie, because she is always building walls to protect herself. He needs Cassie to take a leap of faith to believe in her self-worth and to trust him. The story is heartwarming and the situations are realistic, I was totally drawn in and enjoyed journey. I love romances!
Taking Love in Stride: This is a witty, smart and enjoyable book! The two strong personalities clash at first but that clash causes a fire! I loved the story and could see it really happening. A high powered executive running his family like a business, what's not to believe there? A strong female gym teacher secure in her own abilities as a person and willing to stand up for what she believes is true. Everyone needs a teacher like that! I loved the sparks that flew and the story that followed. I will definitely check out Donna Fasano's other books! I love the cover and I will recommend to friends.
Mountain Laurel: Laurel has been too responsible for too many things for far too long. She has put her live on hold to take care of her Mom, Dad, younger sister and the family business after a family tragedy. She felt secure in handling everything and everyone else, and she did it well. It threw her for a loop when she discovered she was so insecure when it came to handling her own life. The characters are wonderfully written and it is easy to identify with each of them. It is a heartwarming journey to watch Laurel come to realize that what she wants and needs are important too.
This series seemed like the authors first few attempts at writing. The plots were soft, no chemistry, too much self dialogue, random descriptions and the female characters were very weak & scatterbrained. Not good enough to recommend.
