After accidentally altering Dion Meade's personality and motivations with magic, Claire Martino is forced to turn to Prince Vik and his friends for assistance. At least with the new, overly helpful Dion, Claire is able to learn more about the dastardly plotting of Count Meade's family. But in order to persuade Prince Vik and the others to believe them, Claire and Dion need to reveal the truth of their they're from an alternate timeline. Even if she can to convince her friends that she's met them all in her past life, Claire knows that she shouldn't let on that she and Prince Vik were engaged to be married... though she wants to.
Can Claire and the others stop the Meade's family dark plot and prevent the tragic events of their other timeline?
Oddly, Dion genuinely seems perfectly content with his new situation and outlook on life, which in turn has made him a good resource for information for Claire and Vik and the others. With at least some of their past story now public, it's reassuring to see at least this core group believes them, and even some understanding from Vik as he puts the pieces together. There seems to be some hope for the pair there as well given his musings and comments about similarities to his feelings now, not that Claire seems to catch all of them or understand what he means. It's somewhat clearer towards the end of the volume as Claire is abducted by Dion's sister and Vik has to decide if he'll follow her lead and wait or charge in to rescue her right away - though it's clear what his preference would be, just as he struggled in the original storyline with letting Claire find her wings on her own and wanting to keep her by his side. Fortunately, the two goals aligned before, and most likely will again if the two can get back on the same page. Vik is slowly opening up more often, which makes for interesting comparisons from Claire as she reminds herself that they don't have the same relationship now and wonders what is or isn't acceptable, but Vik keeps reaching out in small ways that are encouraging to readers.

I was so excited to see the 6th volume of this series appear on my Comics Plus app! IN this one the characters finally talk. Both Dion and Claire tell all about what has happened and we find out why Dion is so easy going, however it seems that Dion doesn't mind it. I can imagine, he is finally free to do what he pleases and have fun instead of having the feeling of being a failure. Plus, Claire also tells her part. I had a laugh how she was trying not to change course by telling Vik that they were engaged/had feelings, but he could guess because she told him one special location, and well, apparently in this timeline he has also been growing fond of her, whoo whooo the ship is going people! We are sailing again! Of course, also exciting moments when Claire gets kidnapped *gasp*. But thankfully, Claire is resourceful and I was just clapping my hands and cheering when she did that! Go Claire! Oh, and we find out that the sister is also a reincarnated person, I already had my suspicions, but now it is totally clear.
This just feels okay. Things just keep working out excellent for her. I was also very tired when I read this but I am not exactly sure what the end goal will be.
This was tense but fun! I loved seeing Claire fully owning her power and being confident even in scary situations; it was honestly incredible character growth!
