Every one of these stories were very hard for me to put down. I wished they would continue when they ended. Can’t wait for the rest of the volumes to come in this series.

What a great collection of suspense stories!
One Nine was fast-paced and action-packed as Detective Chase Washington tracks down Brooke Turner, who is accused of murdering her best friend. However, their situation changes as they must elude the real killer and prove Brooke's innocence. As the story unfolds, we learn more of Brooke's backstory and how she was set up to be framed for her best friend's murder. This story has twists and turns.
Mistaken Justice by Cara Putman is of Sydney, a county attorney, and Logan, former Navy. When Logan doesn't believe his brother's death wasn't an accident, he has to convince Sydney it's worth looking into seeing if someone had caused his brother's death intentionally. Does Logan's brother's death have something to do with Logan's past? This story has danger, twists and turns, unexpected suspects, and second chance at romances.
Alaskan Family Ties by Lily Hann has it all–Nalani searching for her birth family's identities, secrets about her birth family, a missing undercover agent, danger, romance, terrorists, and more. What an exciting, heart-pounding adventure for this author's debut novel.
Lethal Ties by Michelle Sass Aleckson starts off with danger in the first chapter, and the action picks up as it's a race against time. Kalina's baby daughter and sister have disappeared, and she enlists her ex Justin, a FBI agent, to help her find them. Justin and Kalina have a history from their time in the Marines. This story has a secret baby, cartels, forgiveness, second chances, people wanting to change, and redemption. We also see Kalina navigating her new Christian life and learning some important truths as a new Christian.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This review is for Sara Davison's contribution to this anthology: One Nine. The title comes from the scripture Joshua 1:9, which says to be strong and courageous because God goes before you (paraphrased). The heroine of this tale has 1:9 tattooed on her wrist as a reminder to be strong and courageous and be able to trust that God is always with her. This comes in handy when she wakes up in her backyard, holding a knife that is dripping blood and her best friend is dead beside her. After calling 911, she runs because she knows all of the evidence points to her. With this being the opening scene, you can see how this story hits the ground running and doesn't let up throughout. When the detective catches up to her, he ends up finding himself on the run with her, which helps her case substantially. Though this is a novella length story, the story does not feel rushed and does feel complete. I'm not sure how Davison does that, but I've read several anthologies that she is part of and her stories are always top notch as are her full-length novels. I enjoyed the intensity, suspense, action, romance and faith thread in this story. It was all paced perfectly and I loved how justice was found in the end. The message of putting one's trust in God was prevalent throughout the story as well, making the Christian element solid. All in all, this was a stellar inspirational romantic suspense novella and I would easily recommend to fans of that genre. Special thanks to the author for an advance e-copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

"One Nine" by Sara Davison
This story throws you straight into the chaos. From the opening scene, you are dropped right into the heart of a crime where Brooke Turner wakes up to a nightmare. Her best friend is dead, and all the evidence points to her. The problem is that Brooke has no memory of what happened. Suddenly, she’s on the run, desperate for answers and for the truth to come to light.

Detective Chase Washington takes the case, but his pursuit of justice quickly becomes far more complicated than expected. As secrets unravel and danger closes in, the two are thrust into a whirlwind of suspense with a literal tornado on their heels. Amid the nonstop tension, the emotional depth shines as Brooke and Chase navigate fear, faith, and fragile trust.

The story beautifully weaves in the biblical promise of Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous… the Lord your God is with you.” This verse underpins Brooke’s journey, bringing a layer of faith and hope to the relentless suspense. With heart‑pounding twists, emotional resonance, and a slow‑building romance under extreme pressure, “One Nine” is a faith‑driven thriller that delivers both tension and a deeply satisfying conclusion.

"Mistaken Justice" by Cara Putman
Set in the small town of Tyler, Nebraska, this mystery begins with the seemingly natural death of investigative journalist Riley. When his apartment is discovered completely ransacked, it becomes clear that his death is anything but routine.

The story follows Logan, whose brief Navy career may be more connected than anyone expects, and Sydney as they navigate the growing suspicion surrounding Riley’s death. Riley was an Emmy award winning journalist whose investigations may have uncovered more than anyone realized.

The story peels back layers of secrets and hidden motives. As the mystery unfolds, characters reveal surprising sides of themselves, challenging assumptions and exposing a complex web of deception. The romantic thread between Logan and Sydney adds warmth and balance to the suspense, though the ending feels slightly rushed compared to the careful buildup.

Overall, this is a thoughtful blend of legal drama, small town intrigue, and personal healing that keeps readers engaged as the truth slowly comes to light.

"Alaskan Family Ties" by Lily Hann
This story dives straight into the action with a gripping opener. Nalani rushes to her brother Paul’s home, only to find herself caught in a whirlwind of danger, secrets, and an FBI investigation. As it turns out, Paul is entangled in a covert mission, and Nalani teams up with FBI agent Davin to unravel the mystery behind his disappearance.

The chemistry between Nalani and Davin is undeniable, rooted in mutual understanding and unspoken connection. Her journey isn’t just about her brother; it is also a deeply personal quest for identity, belonging, and peace.

“Did she look like her dad or her mom? Were they still alive? Why didn’t they want her?”

As danger mounts and truths come to light, the stakes soar. With powerful emotional depth and faith woven throughout, Nalani’s story becomes one of resilience and rediscovery. The ending is heart pounding and satisfying, full of adrenaline but also hope.

"Lethal Ties" by Michelle Aleckson

This intense thriller opens with every parent’s nightmare: Kali’s infant daughter Cora and her sister Marianna disappear. What follows is a high stakes race against time, fear, and betrayal. Justin, once a regretted one night stand and now an unlikely partner in this urgent search, steps in to help. Though their past is messy and painful, their goals align as they face terrifying truths.

The story masterfully combines suspense, emotion, and romance. The plot surges with cartel danger, drug trade entanglements, and the emotional toll of facing betrayal by once trusted friends. The tension is thick and the action rapid, but the story never loses sight of its emotional core.

This is a gripping, fast paced read that wraps up quickly but leaves an impact, delivering a vivid portrayal of love, fear, and strength in the face of chaos.

This anthology introduced me to three new authors, and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself falling in love with all four stories. I am familiar with one of the authors, which made diving into this collection even more exciting—I knew I’d enjoy at least one, but I didn’t expect to walk away with three new favorites.
Each story offered its own unique twist, weaving heart, faith, and page‑turning tension into narratives that immediately pulled me in. I quickly became invested in the characters and their journeys, feeling every moment of suspense and emotion alongside them. The balance of clean romance, faith driven storytelling, and high stakes drama made this anthology a deeply satisfying read—perfect for anyone who loves stories that keep you hooked while touching your heart.

This fast-paced, emotionally rich anthology delivers four gripping romantic suspense stories, each uniquely steeped in danger, faith, and redemption. From undercover missions and missing children to wrongful accusations and mysterious deaths, these tales offer everything fans of Christian suspense could want plus a touch of heart-tugging romance.

Favorite Quotes

“Any meeting that involves a police chase, an arrest, tasing, and a tornado will be hard to beat.”

“I’ll spend all night wondering how I got so lucky to be with a woman as beautiful and intelligent as you.”

“Jesus is the Truth. Seek him, Nalani, and you will find true peace."

“A destroyed relationship and reputation beyond repair.”

Sara Davison, Cara Putnam, Lily Hann, and Michelle Aleckson wrote stories for this anthology, “Justice”. It is written by four amazing authors – women who bring heart and soul to their stories. Four different stories with varied characters, four different views faith and their application to lifes woes. Each author brought their characters to life while putting a little fear, and hope, in the hearts of many. I gave this collection of stories 5 out of 5 stars for this thrill seeking ride from cover to cover.
One Nine, a story of the loss of family, a picture of tragedy, hope, faith and redemption, was written by Sara Davison. A tragedy forces a murder suspect, Brooke, to flee and evade the murder charge. Running from Officer of the Law, Chase, leads them down a trail of mayhem, clues and falsehoods. After they have faced danger repeatedly, they must choose to stand and fight to prove Brooke’s innocence for the freedom of her life.
Cara Putnam’s book, Mistaken Justice described a journey of trial and error for Lawyer, Sydney Sims. After the sudden death of Logan Collins’ brother Riley, Sims questioned her decision to be the Interim deputy county attorney and coroner in the small-town atmosphere of Czech County, Nebraska. Under her watch, unexplained deaths occurred, which was a telling sign of her inexperience. To find clues and answers, Logan and Sydney follow the trail of death and mayhem wherever it leads. This book was an exciting thrill ride leading to truth and justice. I loved the thrill-seeking Logan and Sydney fought in the hopes to bring peace to a family and the innocent alike.
Author Lily Haan penned her debut novel, Alaskan Family Ties filling it with hope, fear, promises and dreams. Nalani Price is the foster sister of Paul, an undercover FBI agent in Alaska, who is searching for the key to Nalani’s real family. As danger lurks in the shadows near her Chicago apartment, Nalani heads to Alaska to be in the comfort-zone of her foster sibling. Once she arrives, mayhem and gunfire erupt leaving fear in its wake and then it is evident that her brother is missing. Special Agent Davin Schulz arrives, once again fueling the flames of deception. Throughout this book, Nalani’s emotional whirlwind gives her clues as her investigative journalistic mind digs deep to give the team clues to whatever is before them. Eventually, clues from the past and present collide, giving Nalani, Paul and Davin a means to shut the danger down and move onto a path filled with hope, love, mercy and an everlasting faith. Will Davin and Nalani find the meaning of true love together? Or will the devious factors that they had faced pull the plug on the love of a lifetime?
Michelle Aleckson has written Lethal Ties, which brought danger to ex-Marine Kalina Lopez and her family. Kali joined the Marines to leave behind the dangerous threats that gang members could have put on her family. Avoidance of gangs was a trait her sister inserted within her own life as she worked full-time employed at a job that she loved. After one-night between Kali and Justin, a Marine whom she had worked with, her life changed. After the birth of her daughter and wanting a true balance, eventually, her faith blossomed as she sought truth and grace. Threats, danger, and desperate actions filled the pages in the hopes of finding the innocent victims. With a team behind them, Justin and Kali had to trust God for what they needed. Could their love be strengthened by faith and could they live a life filled with love and hope?

One Nine by Sara Davison was an interesting book with some new twists and turns that I did not expect. Neither the leading lady nor the leading man appeared to be hero material at the outset. Brooke was a murder suspect running from the law while Chase is a detective who seems more intent on putting someone behind bars than actually solving the case. The author did a great job at peeling off the multiple layers that made up Brooke. I love the verse that Brooke clung to constantly as she ran for her life, never realizing that she was in the crosshairs of the real murderer of her best friend. If you enjoy a lot of suspense, you will enjoy this story.

Mistaken Justice by Cara Putman is an exciting story about a young woman who accepted an interim position as county attorney in a small county in Nebraska where she hopes to get a feel for whether she is ready for bigger and better opportunities. What an unpleasant surprise when she learns that the job also includes serving as the coroner. The story opens with her getting called to the scene where a young man has fallen down the stairs in his apartment and is found dead. He just happens to be the brother of a man with whom Sydney once had a relationship. And he does not accept that his brother died accidentally. Things get exciting in small-town Nebraska with some intense action.

Alaskan Family Ties by Lily Hann finds us in a small city in Alaska where Nalani has gone to look for her brother who works as an FBI agent but has also promised Nalani that he would try to find information about her birth family. Paul is the closest thing she has to a brother since she was dropped off at a fire station in Chicago when she was still a baby. She longs to find her family, but it does not look promising when she arrives at his cabin where she gets attacked after discovering he is not home. She learns he has been missing for several days, so she not only is hunting for her family but also for her foster brother. The suspense and action will keep you turning pages later than you intended to.

Lethal Ties by Michelle Aleckson opens with a young woman worried half to death because her sister who takes care of her baby while she works at night has not made her usual morning call. Calls and texts to her sister are not being answered. Then she gets attacked in the parking garage as she is leaving work. After a fortunate escape, she rushes home to an empty house and finds that her sister did not plan to leave. She begins looking for her brother who is on the wrong side of the law to see if he has any idea where their sister and her baby might be. With unexpected help making an appearance, she starts to feel a slight bit of hope. The action quickly mounts.

The common thread in each of the books is a woman seeking justice for serious wrongs committed against her or someone she loves dearly. The stressful circumstances cause each woman to rely on her faith like never before, whether or not that faith had been existent when the story began. In addition, romance is a recurring theme even though each hero and heroine insists that they want nothing to do with romance. I enjoyed each of these stories. I received a copy of this book from BookFunnel. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

One Nine: When Brooke found herself framed for a friend's murder, she ran. But now Chase has caught up with her and is determined she's guilty. The only problem? The true murderer still has plans for her that may make Chase's plans irrelevant...
Mistaken Justice: While Logan is convinced his brother's death is no accident, he has no evidence. But things keep happening that suggest an unreasonable interest in his investigations. Can he and Sydney, the Assistant County Attorney, discover the truth before it's too late?
Alaskan Family Ties: When Davin's undercover agent goes missing, he investigates, only to trip over Nalani, the man's foster sister, doing the same thing. But the picture is bigger than either realises, and more than just their lives is at stake...
Lethal Ties: Kali distanced herself from Justin after one unforgettable night they both regretted. But now that her sister and the daughter she never told him about have gone missing, she'll need his help to recover them safely - even if it means facing their shared past.

A great collection - one was a new author to me, and the other three I haven't read much by yet, but I'm going to be looking out for more. Each one kept my turning pages far too long, and I loved the mix of faith, suspense and romance. I also appreciated the variation in story - sometimes such collections can be too much of the same to read all in one go, but I didn't find that this time. Instead of turning to a different book between stories, I kept going right on through and loved them all. I think my favourites might have been the first and last, though the villains in the first did get a little creepy at times - but I did love watching Chase and Brooke interact, particularly as Chase was forced to decide whether he believed her guilty or innocent. And Kali and Justin were great together too. All in all, a great collection and an interesting start to a promising series. Recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from one of the authors. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

I give this 4 1/2 Stars!

I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This book has four different stories inside by four different authors. The stories are all Christian romantic suspense books. The first book is One Nine by Sara Davison. The main characters are Chase and Brooke. Brooke is on the run as she was accused of murdering her best friend. Chase is trying to find Brooke since he thinks she is guilty. What happens when he finds out she is innocent and in danger? Can they prove her innocence? The second book is Mistaken Justice by Cara Putman. The main characters are Logan and Sydney. Logan’s brother died and he is out to prove it was murder. Can he prove it was murder? Can him and Sydney find out why his brother was killed and who did it before it is too late? The third book is Alaskan Family Ties by Lily Hann. The main characters are Davin and Nalani. Nalani is trying to figure out who her birth parents are. When her foster brother goes missing when following a lead she tries to find out what happened to him. She meets Davin who is an agent trying to stop a terrorist attack. Can they find out what happened to her foster brother? Can they prevent the terrorist attack? Is her biological family somehow related to the planned attack? The last book is Lethal Ties by Michelle Aleckson. The main characters are Justin and Kalina. They used to be together in the past and now they have ran into each other while he is looking for a cartel leader and she is looking for her missing daughter and sister. How will Justin react when he realizes he has a daughter? Will they be able to save their daughter in time? This stories were awesome. I debated on giving each book their own rating but I just gave an overall rating instead. If you love Christian books with suspense I think you will love these.

Heart-pounding suspense and romantic moments along with a strong thread of faith, what’s not to love? When you put together four of the best romantic suspense authors in one inspiring book you have an anthology you’ll read over and over again.

One Nine: Brooke is an author using a pen name, on the run, and accused of her best friend’s murder. Chase is assigned to the case and determined to apprehend her.
Sara knows how to weave a tale that draws you in and never lets go.

Mistaken Justice: Sydney is assigned to an accidental death case involving Logan’s brother. He isn’t convinced it was an accident at all. When he decides to find his own answers things heat up.
Cara paces her stories in a way that grips the reader, taking them along for the ride.

Alaskan Family Ties: Nalani is in Alaska to visit her brother but finds him missing. Davin is his fellow agent in a small FBI office in Seward where nothing is as it seems and the clues are buried deep.
Lily writes a tight mystery with a Russian connection and unexpected family ties you don’t want to miss.

Lethal Ties: Kali arrives home to find her baby and sister missing with few clues to work with. Justin doesn’t know he is the father of her baby but when his drug cartel case intersects with her search the stakes may have just gotten higher.
Michelle knows how to blend action, romance, and emotion into a read in one sitting story.

As a whole this is one anthology I will read again with so much packed into each individual story that you feel like you have four full length novels. Worth every penny.

This is a good summer book - 4 romantic suspense books at an inexpensive price. It's nice to see experienced authors working with less experienced.
One Nine by Sara Davison. A good story about detective Chase pursuing Brooke for her murder of her best friend. Once he finds her, a tornado & attackers make their journey difficult. This had a unique plot.
Mistaken Justice by Cara Putman
Logan Collins is a TV journalist who is fighting to have his brother's recent death investigated, rather than ruled as an accident. Interim county attorney Sydney Sims helps him look for hidden clues.
Alaskan Family Ties by Lily Hann
Nalini Price travels to Alaska to get her foster brother's help in finding her borth parents., but Paul has disappeared. He's an under cover agent. Agent Davin & his team are also looking for Paul. Soviet ties to the land are involved.
Lethal Ties by Michelle Aleckson
Karina Lopez is desperate to find her sister & her 18 mon old daughter Cora who have gone missing. She gets in touch with her brother, who is also in the radar of FBI agent Justin Miller. Justin learns he's the father of Cora, which ramps up the urgency. Crime families are involved. Lots of action in this one.

Every story in this anthology was thrilling, exciting, and the epitome of excellent storytelling. Everything seemed so relevant and realistic with ripped-from-the-headlines characters and events. The villains were diabolical and disturbed, and the one in Sara Davison's story was especially chilling. I could not wait to see justice done for the victims of the horrendous crimes portrayed in these stories, and I found it difficult to stop reading when I had work to do. I had not read any books by most of these authors before, and now I am motivated to read more from each one. I highly recommend this anthology to anyone who enjoys inspirational suspense and thrillers, and I am looking forward to the next collection!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for the authors and publisher. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I love these anthologies that you get to sample new authors and their writing styles. Three of these authors are new to me and now I have more books to go on my TBR pile. This anthology is all about justice even though at times it seems like there won't be justice, just keep reading to find out what happens. The first book will keep you second guessing yourself and wondering just who actually killed the best friend. The second one takes you to a small town where everyone wears more than one hat, so to speak. Are the deaths accidental or is something else going on? The third story takes you to the beautiful state of Alaska , where there is trouble brewing. Will Nalani find her birth parents and will she find her foster brother alive? The last story will have you wondering if the baby and her aunt will be found in time and just who took them?

Four authors and four stories make for a suspenseful read. They all have some romance with faith intertwine thought-out the stories. One Nine is one of my favorites in that it drew me in. I thought Mistaken Justice needed to have more to it. It was a fast ending. Alaskan Family Ties left me hanging. I have questions that need answers. I hope there is more to this story. Lethal Ties shows how people can change from bad to good.

This book contains 4 stories by 4 different authors. All 4 stories have lots of suspense with love and faith intertwined. I enjoyed it from the very first page and at times it kept me on the edge of my seat and staying up late to find out what happened next. This is a good book to get to read authors who you have read other books by before and also read ones by authors that are new to you.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from author Sara Davison. The review expressed here is my honest opinion.

I can finally draw a deep breath, since I have finished reading One:Nine! I won’t spoil the story for you, but I will just say that this book kept me awake until I finished reading every page! I couldn’t relax until I found out what was going to happen to Brooke. The suspense kept building and building. Sara Davison is a master storyteller. Justice is a collection of four inspirational romantic suspense books by four incredible writers. The first book, One Nine was amazing so I was braced for a letdown. How could the next 3 books possibly compare? Though all different, each book delivers romance, suspense and faith by the bucket loads. Written by names you likely know, Justice delivers plenty of clean entertainment that won’t disappoint. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

WOW! Just finished this anthology and it was suspense on steroids! All four books were action packed and kept my attention. Of the four, I found One:Nine by Sara Davison the most intriguing. The character development drew me in, and the plot line kept my attention. A tightly written novel that I just couldn't put down.

Loved this anthology!! With the first story, One Nine by Sara Davison, hold on to your hat because you’re in for an intense ride of action and suspense! And it starts from the very first page! This story is very well written and the characters are so well developed that they just jump off the page. Faith is lived out in both characters as they struggle with making some very hard decisions. I highly recommend the book for this story alone! But, the other stories are excellent as well!! All are well written with lots of mystery, action, emotion, and most of all faith! The characters were developed with spiritual growth throughout the stories. I laughed and cried with them, stayed up way too late with them, and wanted to spend more time with them. I love anthologies and getting the chance to read multiple books by great authors for one lower price than the cost would be to buy each separately. And I would definitely buy all four of these books! I read an advance readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.

This book was so good! All four of the stories kept my attention to where I did not want to put it down. I started the first book and read until the end and then started the next one and so on and so on. They had intrigue and mysteries and I loved each of the characters. I hope there will be more anthologies as entertaining as this book was. I highly recommend this book. It is so worth the read!

I enjoyed all of these stories. There were characters who were strong in their faith and others who learned to put their trust in the only One who could save them. There was lots of action, suspense and surprises, danger and close calls, and enough romance to keep this reader happy.

One Nine started out with a bang and didn’t let up! Talk about suspense, this author has it nailed! Unpredictable, terrorizing, threats of death, it’s all here and more along with completely believable characters keeping one mesmerized beginning to end. Wow!

A great set of four stories by four talented authors. It was fun to read. A perfect book for those who enjoy Christian romantic suspense. I received a copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

several WONDERFUL stories!

I thought this book would just be another nice Christian story. However, to my delightful surprise, it had numerous stories. Each one was by a different author and each one was amazing and wonderful. I’m so glad I picked this up.

The stories in Justice were very interesting. They helped me to think hard about life and how to live a Christian life.
