“Five dates. After that, I’ll give meself to ye, husband.”
Olivia’s husband is dead. At least that’s what the clan believes now that the Laird’s been missing for a year. Only, he comes back. And he’s hungry…for her.
A monster. That’s what years at war turn beastly Laird Edan into. So when he returns home, he knows he must not corrupt an innocent like his wife. Yet he cannot resist the need to finally claim her.
Olivia will not share his bed, though–not until they go on five dates first. And Edan never backs down from a challenge. In five nights, his sweet bride will be begging for his touch…
*Wedded to the Highland Beast is a steamy Scottish Medieval Historical romance novel of 60,000 words (around 300 pages) written by Maddie MacKenna and published by Cobalt Fairy.
No cheating, no cliffhangers, lots of steam and a happy ending.
Olivia gets married to Edan and then war breaks out and he leaves before he makes her a wife in the physical sense. After a year the Laird's council is ready to declare him dead and marry Olivia to a neighboring Laird to strengthen their holdings. As Nurkirk shows up to ask for her hand Edan returns and claims his castle and his wife. As in most of the highland stories nothing is ever as easy as that and this one is no exception. Trouble continues from within and out of the castle with Nurkirk bringing troops to take the lady. Good story!
Olivia is a Lairds wife, she has been married for nearly a year, but the Laird has been missing since their wedding day. But, she is being told he is dead and she has to marry another man she doesn’t know. She is unwilling to do that. Her husband has been fighting since he left. The new guy will be here in the morning, but she is prepared to say no. She is not prepared to see her husband home though. They make an agreement to get to know each other before they go to bed. Five dates, then she will be willing. Great book! Just loved it, the characters were amazing, Olivia is strong and self assured, except when it comes to the Laird, Edan. Absolutely worth the buy, absolutely worth your time to read it!
I just can't believe this was written by the same author who wrote the first 3 books in this series, I just can't !! The extended epilogue was the best part of this story I didn't feel like I was reading a beginners first story, the premise or plot was a good idea and the 3 stars is for that. So again it's unbelievable the same author wrote this at least for me it is.
If you have not read Maddie's new book "Wedded to the Highland Beast" then you should get this book now. This book has it all- a traitor in his clan, a wife he did not want but needed so much. A Laird wanting his clan as well as his wife and the battle to the end. This book will keep you turning the pages for sure. I loved reading it.
Imagine marrying a man you have never seen or met. Then he disappears for a while and his council is trying to make a deal that she doesn't want. It was like Edan had two personalities, one loving and one fierce, but did he love her? The women in this story are great. Will the villain get his way or will love prevail? Read this great story to find out.
This wedding of convenience, like most, had it’s harrowing times but with a strong and determined heroine she works it out. There are times of closeness that are shaken and tense but determination help her get through. Descriptions of the scenes help to picture the event and people involved but imagination always helps!

I love this time era of Medieval Scotland, and this story takes me back to that time frame. Laird Edan and Olivia drew me into this story and had me cheering for them. I loved the fact that he rose to the challenge. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
The story of Olivia and Edan is a great story. Thinking he is dead the clan leaders are consenting to Laird Nurkirk marrying her. All of a sudden things start happening around the castle. Love this story. Great series
Enjoyed the main male and female characters. Married as strangers, then separated for a year by war, she wanted five dates to get to know him. If you enjoy a romance with some intrigue, it's a must read.
Thrilling and romantic, I loved the wonderful characters and the storyline was entertaining, I enjoyed reading reading this story and highly recommend!
