Viktor had once heard that time healed all wounds. Whoever had come up with that saying had clearly never gotten into a physical altercation with a werewolf, but at least Adelstrad's least favourite executioner still has most of his limbs.
That said, while his witch problems may have been solved, battle has finally joined in the Adelstradian countryside as Nordling warbands meet Adelstradian fighting men in the field and blood flows like wine.
Viktor finds himself in a more precarious position than ever before, caught between the rapidly forming factions in a civil war that couldn't have come at a worse time. The Baron is quickly stripping him of friends and half of the people left at his back wouldn't think twice before stabbing him in it.
Dreams of dark things in the past and darker things to come haunt Viktor's sleep at night while in the day the line between the reasonable and the unthinkable begins to blur.

When I started Hand of the Executioner, I didn't think I would like it. Needless to say I couldn't stop reading. From the beginning I wanted to know Victor. Not that I finish the 4th book, but I can't wait till the next one comes out. The only problem that I found was that I had to re read paragraphs. The typos were confusing. But it didn't stop me from reading, I'm gonna have to read the series again in the very near future. The twists and turn, the action between battles Victor face, and much more makes this on he'll of a read.
