Do you believe in second chance romance? Two years ago David broke Stella’s heart and she hasn’t completely got over it. So she accepts her girlfriend’s invitation to a week long trip to France and when she least expects it, David reaches out! It hasn’t been easy for David too, perhaps he let something good walk away so he wants to try again with Stella if she’ll trust him again. I like that the author gave us both sides & characters that are relatable, it’s a sweet romance series and I can’t wait to read the next one! Thank you to the author for a gifted copy. This is my honest review.
This is a great start in what is bound to be a wonderful series. Stella and David’s relationship is authentic and full of questions. The majority of the book takes place in 2018, with some chapters going back to 2015 to flesh out the story. But Stella’s story is not only about love, but friendship. And a special delight for readers to have a love story plus a book full of lush details taking you to Paris, London, and Pennsylvania making you feel as though you were on vacation. I’m looking forward to book two this March!
Within these pages, I enjoyed the captivating elements of travel and love. Stella and David's journey is one which I have a very close connection with. I am a hopeless romantic, and reading this story was exactly what I needed to escape the stresses of life. I am excited to see the evolvement of the characters in the books ahead.
Annette Anders weaves together an eclectic montage of people, places and plotlines in TURN BACK TIME a love story and a travelogue — with a kidnapping slipped in.
This was a low key romance that involved a couple reuniting after a heart-breaking split. The romance itself has an old-fashioned feel to it that didn't do much for me but the travel descriptions are exceptionally interesting. In addition, there is the really nice friendship between the female lead and her best friend as well some diverting side stories. A pleasant and easy read. I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
This book started out slow, but picked up. The writing is very well written. I was able to think, feel, the characters felt. I was able to put myself in every location the writer wrote. I recommend you read this one.
Nursing heartbreak, Stella decides to go to France with her best friend for vacation, The vacation is not only adventurous, but a second chance at love. Enjoyed the sightseeing, tours and food within this read as well. Loved the characters, look forward to the next one.
Beautifully written love & true friends story with a touch of suspense. Loved the descriptions of Paris/France icons and little known romance locations. This is full of all the feels you’ll need to believe in second chances and not giving up.
Loved this book. Anders brings the characters Stella, Naomi and David to life and has you rooting for Stella and David back together. She paints France in a way that makes you feel you’re there with them A definite must read
I really enjoyed Annette G. Anders' book, Turn Back Time. It is a fun second chance romance that goes back and forth between the years 2015 and 2018. David, a well known singer on Broadway and Stella, a library curator at the Library Company of Philadelphia, meet by chance. They spend two years in a long distance romance. Then David decides to let Stella go and it breaks her heart. While in France with her bestie, Naomi, Stella sees David again. He begs to be forgiven and they start to get to know each other again. Anders does a wonderful job of describing her characters and the places they go. When I finished the book, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters. Luckily there are more books in this series!
What a great story! I love the way its told in a relatively clean manner and without too much drama, yet delivers a sweet and powerful presentation of love.
Thank you Annette Anders for the lovely romantic story of second chances. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour thru Paris and surrounding areas. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I really liked this book. It is an easy and a quick read. It is about love, loss, the courage to try again, the courage to find ways to make a relationship work. Much of this book takes place in Paris and other areas of France, which enhanced the enjoyment of reading it for me. So, yes, I do recommend it.
Book Review: Turn Back Time~ The Full Circle Series Book 1 by author, Annette G. Anders
Debut novelist, Annette G. Anders has created a wonderful story in 'Turn Back Time'. A thoroughly engaging narrative of love, loss, hope and redemption, and much more.
The story of Stella and David begins as a whirlwind romance and ends almost as quickly as it began. One that takes on a life of its own as the two navigate a long distance relationship that ultimately takes them down the lonely road of the broken hearted. As Stella is blindsided by the arrival of a letter from far away, and her best friend 'Nam' continues to hold her place as Stella's most truest of supporters, an opportunity presents itself, one in which may lead her to closure, and the chance to move beyond the pain of a lost love.
A scenic journey through Paris, France and beyond, in all its glory, with its beauty and the sights and sounds of the region as to its historical landmarks, the sheer romance that hangs in the air~ it all becomes the diversion Stella so desperately seeks. Still surrounded by the swirling emotions so raw and present in a country far from home, she holds tightly to the hope of letting go. That is until one day, and in the most unexpected of ways, she finds the past staring right through her.
Ms. Ander's has woven within this narrative the threads that form a wonderful and enjoyable story from beginning to end. From the romantic to the mysterious, the enchanting and the adventurous, and the delicate balance of trust and understanding.
What may be initially perceived by some as 'just another romance', 'Turn Back Time' is so much more... A delightful, inspiring story line, with the depth of characters and a gift from the author in allowing us to see that when love is real it finds a way, makes this debut a special one.
I thank Ms. Anders for my copy of 'Turn Back Time' and I truly look forward to what will be coming next.
I was immediately engaged from the first paragraph and rooting for Stella and David throughout the book. What I loved about this story is that Ander’s takes you on a wonderful trip to Paris. A city I visited a long time ago. The author does a fantastic job of putting the reader in this beautiful city with her detailed descriptive writing. In fact, I would love to revisit Paris and take this book with me and see all the places mentioned in the book.
This book is not just about a sweet romance but also the strong friendship between Stella and her best friend Naomi. I loved everything about Naomi from her cocky attitude and how she always looked out for Stella. The bond between the two girls is clearly defined throughout the story.
This is a wonderful story that does have some steamy parts. I highly recommend this book.
This is Annette Anders debut novel. It was an easy enjoyable read It is about love, loss and forgiveness and 2nd chances. This is not only a romance but travel and mystery as well. This takes you all over Paris, France and London. It reads like you are actually there. This is such a great awesome read. Turn Back Time has loveable Characters and I can't wait to read the next in the series In Due Time.
A lost love and would it be found again? Just when Stella moved on from her long time boyfriend, would fate takeover. This novel takes you on an adventure that has you glued to each page waiting to see what happens. The characters are a mix of sweet, forward and a little complicated but very lovable. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what’s in store through the rest of the series.
This book is almost like you're taking a journey to Paris yourself! The descriptions are so vivid, the food and museums and everywhere Stella and Naomi go are almost RIGHT THERE in front of you.
Music lovers will fall in love with this beautiful love story, which has the absolute BEST ending I've read in a long time.
I loved Turn Back Time. It is a great story about friends and reconnecting after a breakup in a relationship. This book has some great humor and is a fantastic love story. Plus there is an added bonus, you get to visit France! This is Annette G. Anders debut novel. It is written so well I would have never thought that this was a first timer. I'm looking forward to her next book very much!
I Can't wait for book 2, I fell in love with the characters, I got so involved with them I felt like I was traveling with them. I now want to travel to France and I have never wanted to visit France.
I so enjoyed this book. It is a well written story about love, romance and friendships. The characters are two dimensional and very likable. I look forward to the next book in this series. Kudos to Ms Anders.
This is a beautiful love story. In parts you almost feel like you are there. You want to keep reading and not stop till the end. But you don't want the book to end. Can't wait to read the next book in the series
Sweet story of second chances, amazing locations that will make you want to travel to Paris , the secondary characters add intrigue to the story. Looking forward to the next story
This lovely book is AWESOME. It was quite obvious that there is a love of France in this well-researched book. Stella and David have much to overcome, but so does Rev. The adventures they and their other friends have are exciting, scary, and very real. You will learn to dislike the man on the tour, and love the others they meet and find yourself relating to the impression one haughty journalist conveys and that the surprising government red tape can be overcome in this glorious book. I'm looking forward to, and pre-ordered, the second book in the series. I highly recommend losing yourself in this book. It is both love story and mystery and travel interest combined! You don't want to miss it!
Turn Back Time by Annette G. Anders is another exceptional debut novel I have had the pleasure of reading. Annette takes us to the expansive world of France via a tour created for those who love to embark on a journey of history, and of course endearing beauty. I was enraptured from page one with the clever introduction of the two main characters. Not only do we get to enjoy a romance, but Annette cleverly weaves a heart-pounding mystery into the story. I found myself fully immersed into the lives of the characters in this book to where they felt like my friends. Turn Back Time by Annette G. Anders is a book I highly recommend and I look forward to reading In Due Time, Book II of The Full Circle Series releasing March 23, 2021.
I received this book through the Goodreads Giveaways program, this is my honest review. The premise of this book is sweet - after breaking up, and then a year apart, Stella and David meet again in France. Will they restart the relationship or forever go their separate ways? Stella is on vacation in France and is touring many of the most popular locations. Yes, the descriptions were detailed and perhaps a bit excessive but I enjoyed traveling vicariously. It helped me connect to Stella and her emotions and reactions. I also enjoyed both Stella and David as characters. However, my enjoyment of the characters and relationship was much diminished by the dialogue between them. It seemed very dated, as if the book should have been set back a few decades.
