Despite the dark elements in this story, there’s absolutely nothing dark or toxic about Caleb and Lauren’s love—and I adore that!

If you like a forbidden romance, look no further! This age gap romance between a professor and his student had me consumed. I loved the adventure I just went on with Caleb and Lauren! It was forbidden, it was SPICY, it was suspenseful, and it was full of emotion. Caleb is protective and possessive as hell and I’m HERE FOR IT. He is also gentle with Lauren when she needs him emotionally. Such a good MMC. This book had me hooked from start to finish.

Phew!🥵🥵🥵 What a way to put out a debut novel! Ms Luna Peters!!! I am OBSESSED! 😍 This book was ridiculously good. I could not put it down. Forbidden teacher/student with a big age gap? Say. Less. GIMMIE! 😍😍😍

One night , Lauren meets Caleb while she’s dancing at the club. The minute their eyes meet its fireworks, and Caleb can’t help but follow Lauren into the bathroom to give in to that spark. No names. No strings…just bodies , passion, and multiple orgasms. As memorable as the night was, neither of them expect to see each other again. That is until Lauren walks into her new English class and sees her hot one night stand teaching the class. Yikes!

Immediately they know that there can’t be a relationship between them. He’s a professor and she’s his student. The power dynamics of a 16 year age gap alone are enough to make them cautious. But they can’t deny the tension that builds between them every day. Secret glances. Stolen moments. The way they YEARN for each other is SO PALPABLE. You can literally feel the way need each other radiating off the page.

Eventually it becomes too much and they can’t stay away. They give in and realise just how much they want each other. It’s not just physical though, even though YES…these two are VERY compatible in the bedroom. The crawling? The begging? I need a Caleb of my own IMMEDIATELY 😍😍😍 but beyond the physical, you see them connect emotionally.

Lauren is fiercely independent. And that can lead to her pushing people away and refusing help. Caleb shows her that she can still hold on to her independence while still allowing him to be the one there for her. That it’s not weak to depend on another person…especially when you love them.

There’s a crazy plot twist and stalker aspect to the story…I didn’t not see it coming but I absolutely LOVED the added suspense. The ending felt a tiny bit rushed…and I honestly could have read a whole other 200 pages of this book. This is the first book in a series so I’m hoping that we will get some more answers with the next book! 🩷

This book sucked me in and held on tight till the end and the plot twist I did not see coming! I love how calm, sweet , protective, and possessive Caleb was in this book and his dirty mouth 🫠!! Lauren has been through so much she grew up poor and her mom didn’t really care about her so she had to do what she needed to survive.. She’s independent, strong , and smart as hell.. I love this book if you need a book that will have you kicking your feet and giggling this is the book for you!!

When I heard this was an aged gap romance between a student and a professor I was sold. The fire between Lauren and Caleb was all consuming. I am not normally a fan of insta-love/attraction but that first scene between them was hot.

This book has a dual POV with a couple of chapters from the POV of an unknown character that is the stalker. I liked that because it added more drama and another obstacle between the MCs. The college life reminded me of my own college days, especially Lauren with her old reliable hoodie.

Lauren and Caleb waste no time to get down to business any time, any place. We love a possessive generous lover that is a fan of rock music. It doesn’t matter how much they fight their feelings for each other, it’s just impossible for them to stay away. When the whole thing with the stalker is revealed their instincts are to protect each other. You might think you know who it is but you’ll have to find out. The friendships in the book also gave me found family vibes.

This book totally surprised me. I picked it up thinking it would be the usual romance, but it gave me so much more. Caleb really stood out. He had that rare mix of calm, sweet, and intense all in one. Lauren was sharp, bold, and had that kind of quiet strength that I loved. Their dynamic was hot but also very respectful, which made everything feel real, something I appreciated. I didn’t expect to connect with them so much, but I did. I also liked how the story didn't avoid difficult things but didn’t get too heavy either. The emotional moments hit just right, and there was spice, yes, but also meaning. It was sexy, gripping, and just so well written. I loved this! Was it sensational, or anything life changing? No but it was an amazing, fun and exciting read. For once I’m not arc reading a dark romance, this is actually a contemporary romance with taboo themes, and just a stalker that’s not an mc. As a student myself I thought I would be put off by teacher x student romances, but after reading Kiss the Villain I realise it’s not bad, and honestly not a world worse from step uncles or step brothers. This has everything you would expect from a teacher x student romance, tension, hidden feelings, being unable to stay away from each other, secret dating, fear of being exposed, and lots of great smut. If you were looking for a teacher x student romance I would 100% recommend this to you! I loved this in all its taboo glory! They have amazing chemistry, a university scholarship student who’s never been in love suddenly hooking up with a hot guy, just to find out he’s her recently divorced English professor who is 16 years older than her. Yet… neither of them can stay away. And my gosh major power dynamics in the start, I’ll give you the words, crawl, brat, punishment. And of course amazing office smut. Most of the plot is them figuring out their feelings and their relationship, but there’s a little stalker plot. I did not expect that plot twist near the end but it ended perfectly. Caleb is hawt, but also sweet and caring, and of course super obsessed and in love with her (I umm underfoot her name). But she was amazing, standing up for herself, and I love the reality that yes she’s strong, but even strong people need help and how she learns to accept that, in correct amounts of course. I enjoyed this book a lot and give it a 4/5

I loved this age gap romance between Caleb, a professor, and Lauren, his student. There is more to their romance than just how forbidden it is. It has emotion, tension, spice and Caleb’s dirty mouth. Yum! There’s also some suspense since Lauren has a stalker which kept me guessing who it was until the very end. If you like good age gap romance add this to your TBR. A great debut.

This was a cute and quick read. I will say I was hooked rather quickly. I have to apologize to the author because I kept saying it’s obvious who unknown is and it’s not who they want us to think. Now while I was right, it was still a plot twist in there I didn’t call which made the book even better because I definitely didn’t see that coming.

Anything with a fiery/sassy fmc and a mmc that yearns and is so desperate I eat up every single time.

Never Let Go grabs your attention and doesn’t let you go. It’s forbidden age gap romance, the sexy kind of emotional ride that will make your heart race and hands sweat, and may cause you to sigh, groan, and spiral a little.

I loved Caleb. I just love that brooding hot professor with a huge heart and need to claim as his own.

A gorgeous FMC Lauren who is smart and spicy and just so loveable. The instant connection that is super steamy even if it’s not supposed to be. And of course, found family, which I’m a complete sucker for.Happy dance of joy in my heart. BINGO!

It’s easy to tell that these two are going to get along. I could feel the connection right from their first meeting. Delicious tension between them. Sparks flying during each stolen moment and every touch of hands not supposed to be touching. The chemistry between them sizzles. And it’s not just about the heat. It’s about two people who see and understand each other in a world that will tell them they can’t.

Luna Peters has a raw and addictive writing style. The pacing is perfect, not rushed or slow. The spice? Next level. And the angst? The ache? It does not disappoint.

I highly recommend this book if you love forbidden love stories. Age gap angst. Morally gray but emotionally grounded MMCs.

THIS FREAKIN BOOK!!!!! Talk about a MMC that I could EAT up this instant! Daaaammmmmnnnn!!!! 🔥 And the FMC is so cute and adorable - AND totally relatable! Their forbidden romance is HOT and STEAMY from the start and his possessive alpha dominance is to DIE for. They absolutely can’t be together BUT they can’t keep their eyes or hands away! Throw in the stalker and the plot twist and I didn’t want the story to end!
I’m very excited for the next books for the series. I also loved being introduced to the minor characters of Lauren’s & Caleb’s story. I can’t wait to expand and learn about one or more of them!!! If this first book was any indication of what is to come, there is so much spicy delicious goodness on the way!

Lauren and Caleb's story is your typical forbidden student / teacher romance. Caleb is her college professor due to a change in her schedule which was made by the dean. But this is not your typical forbidden romance.. because Lauren has a stalker. And no, it's not who you think it is. I really thought I had him pegged but near the end of the novel the stalker is revealed. & it was a shocker.

This story has a happy ever after. & there is no break up (well, there is sort of but not really). Anyway, this quick 300 or so page read will keep your attention and shocked until the very end.

uh so this book would have been okay if it wasn’t for the random ass side plot of the ‘unknown’ person that i knew who it was as soon as he was introduced and the predictable plot. I just think the author tried to make this teacher/student book different so it isn’t the same typical trope but in my opinion it didn’t work well. I mainly only read this one to read the second book tbh but i’m now scared it’s going to be worse than this was.

Okay, yes I finished this book all of 5 minutes ago but idc, I got a lot to say. First of all, we all know how much I love an age gap, and professor x student age gaps hit different and you will never convince me otherwise. But this was absolutely INCREDIBLE, like genuinely. I had to pause the book, cause yk adulting. But I really didn't want to. Not only was the story so gripping, the characters were easy to fall in love with, but also the writing was exceptional. It left me wanting (needing) more. I will read anything this woman writes istg.

I have to start by talking about Caleb, that man was absolute fucking perfection. I fell in love with him so quickly. The way he loved Lauren was everything you could ever wish for. Not only was he lovable, he was honest to a fault, loyal, respectful in the ways that matter. He had priorities and morals, he also knew what he wanted and was capable of admitting when he was in the wrong. And he called her a good girl, it doesn't get better than that.

I loved Lauren so much, there was so much to love about her, but just like Caleb, she was able to admit when she fucked up. She knew what she wanted, and didn't let anything stop her, and that in itself is admirable. Her backstory hurt, so uncalled for. But it was made up for because of her relationship with Sydney's family. I loved it so much, it was the cutest thing. I fully understand why Caleb fell for her so quickly.

I hope Brad and Dean die, like a slowly and painfully. They deserve it. On a lighter note, I loved Sydney so much. She's the friend very few people truly deserve. She was the absolute best, I'm going to need a book for her ASAP, cause I'm already invested and need more information.

I cannot recommend this book enough, we all know I'm never gonna shut up about it. If you love age gaps and professor x student romances, you're gonna love this book.

What a great read!! This grabbed my interest from the start.

This has dark undertones but not in the relationship itself. So check those triggers.

This was a one night stand turned oops you’re my professor and now totally off limits. But their chemistry, right from the beginning, was so palpable that they couldn’t deny it even when they tried.
The spice was top notch. And the plot twist actually surprised me.

This was well written and truly an excellent read.

This dedication already has me screaming!!

When Caleb first sees Lauren you can tell he was HOOKED from the start. The lust and curiosity describes the interaction perfectly, how he described her and couldn’t take his eyes off her. The immediate obsession he had over her- Oh my I love this man.

As Caleb and Lauren’s relationship progresses, we see the raw emotions of both of them and how they struggle to keep apart. Caleb is Lauren’s professor, he cannot be caught up with his student. But rules are meant to be broken when Caleb struggles to keep away from the blonde dancer, especially when all of his friends have their eyes on her.

I’m a sucker for a forbidden romance and this 4 star read proves that. The intensity of the secrecy and Caleb being a golden retriever!! Sometimes you need to take a break from morally greys because golden retrievers do it better 😉.

Lauren has mentioned a few times the feeling of someone watching her which hints at a plot twist, a stalker, a tragedy? Who is watching Lauren and what do they want? This sub plot has the right intention to hook the reader, I can’t put this down!!

Whilst Lauren falls madly inlove with her professor and swoons over everything he does, she has an admirer who does the same from her but from afar. And it’s not Caleb.

Sydney is my spirit animal and it’s my goal in life to be her xx

The plot twist is something you will never see coming, don’t try and guess because you will be wrong. It’s obvious who the stalker is…Right?

I love how Caleb and Lauren eventually get their happy ending, risking everything to be together and we get to see that raw emotion as things progress after the plot twist!

I do believe some scenes could’ve been longer and contain more potential but other than that, perfection.

This book was cute without being too cute, dark without being too dark, and spicy without being…no, it’s just spicy. This is a forbidden, age gap, student/teacher relationship where they meet before they know the real them. I am a huge fan of the secret stripper storyline, even though it really isn’t a secret. There is just something so sexy about a strong connection between two people who know that just being together is wrong. But these characters were really so lovable. One great thing about this story is I found that the pacing was absolutely perfect and I flew through it as I read. The chapters were a great length that it took almost no time to get through one. This is definitely one of those books where I caught myself saying “just one more chapter.” The main characters had fantastic chemistry from the very beginning, from the moment their eyes met in the club.

The characters were great. One thing I really loved about Caleb is that he is such a nerd but that super hot nerd. He was willing to beat someone down the minute they tried to hurt or even look at Lauren wrong. Even though he met Lauren at first at the club, he never treated her like any object or got creepy with her. He was the prefect golden retriever. Just as Caleb didn’t objectify Lauren, she never acted less than because she was a dancer. I love that she was totally comfortable as a dancer. She was someone who had worked hard and been on her own, growing up poor with an inattentive mother. She is insanely intelligent and works her way through school the best way she knows howSydney was one of my favorite side characters ever. But then again, of course I love the sexy sapphic character.

This was one of those books that had a darker side plot lingering in the background and the shadows, just like the stalker in the story. The MMC was so wonderful to the FMC and was bound and determined to always protect her. From the very first time that the two main characters connected in the bathroom at the club, the spicy scenes between them were so amazing and wonderful. I I love that this book was mostly about the two main characters navigating their forbidden relationship when they both feel the intense pull to be with each other.

She’s independent, intelligent and though she’s on scholarship at the University she works hard at the local gentlemen’s club as a dancer. After being asked to work on her night off to help cover a bachelor’s party, she has what she thinks is a one time encounter with the most handsome man she has ever sets her sights on. That is until she walks into class Monday morning and Professor Anderson is the same man she hooked up with the past Saturday.

Caleb, our MMC, is a single and successful professor at the University. After moving away from home to follow his dreams along with his best friends, he has no desire to settle down. That is until he sees a beautiful woman at the local gentlemen’s club while attending a bachelor party for a friend. He is so taken by her beauty that he has to talk to her, talking leads to a one time encounter with a woman he doubts he’ll ever see again. I LOVED THIS BOOK!! I finished it so damn fast and once it was over I was like noooo. Their instant attraction towards each other is so intense. When they try to stay away from each other it made me laugh because even I can tell that wouldn’t work. The plot twist though…wow. I was not expecting it at all. It was such a great book. The side characters are hilarious and you can feel how much they all care for each other. This whole series is going to be amazing 💫

I was drawn into this book immediately and honestly couldn't put it down. If I didn’t have to work and sleep and other such nonsense, I would have read it in one sitting. Caleb and Lauren meet at the club where she works and instantly give into their attraction to one another. Unfortunately, come the next week, they realize she is his student. They try to keep their distance from one another, but their connection is impossible to ignore.

This book had a bit of everything I love in a romance. It was spicy and sweet, and there were some super funny moments thrown in.

“F**k me sideways! Give a girl some notice before you sneak out of the dark like that! I’m all for shadow daddies, but for f**k’s sake!”

Not gonna lie, I paused reading and laughed for a good few minutes after this one.

There was also a bit of drama and mystery, with the FMC being (unknowingly) in danger. To top it off, we have the forbidden age gap, professor x student dynamic, and subsequent pining.

I’m slowly going insane. Is this what it’s like to chase after a woman half my age? F**k, is that another gray hair?

I love that she refers to him as a silver fox… he's 36 not 56. He as like two gray hairs lmao. But it's cute nonetheless.

Age-gap romances don’t work, especially forbidden ones. --Okay, we'll just see about that, won't we??

I really enjoyed all of the secondary characters as well. They were supportive, hilarious, and added a great found family aspect for both MCs. I'm very much looking forward to reading the next in the series!

If you're a fan of forbidden romances, look no further! This story brings together insta-lust and undeniable chemistry from the very first page. It’s hot, steamy, and will definitely leave you wanting more.

Lauren, a 20-year-old student, works at a local gentlemen’s club as a dancer—that’s where she meets Caleb. They had a hot one-night encounter but didn’t exchange any personal information.

That is, until Lauren starts an extra undergrad class and discovers her new professor is none other than Caleb, the handsome man she hooked up with at the club. A relationship is clearly off-limits due to the student-professor dynamic, but their mutual attraction is too intense to ignore, and soon they give in to their feelings.

I was completely hooked up by this story. The forbidden romance and age gap trope were greatly executed, and it kept me invested.

However, the ending felt rushed. While the plot twist was exciting, several threads were left unresolved—like the situation with Dean Williams and Brad, and the aftermath of Caleb’s fight. The book is short, so I wouldn’t have minded a few more chapters to wrap up those loose ends.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, and I’m looking forward to diving into the next books in the series!

This book was fast-paced and filled with spice. It was well done.

The way they met was intense but also kind of cute. The way they were both explaining to themselves what they were feeling. I loved it.

Instant connection is a trope I LOVE and top it with a forbidden age gap? Yes, please.

The FMC is strong, sassy, and speaks her mind. She struggles with some trauma, but it's not severely focused on. I like how it's talked about and you see the growth she has, but she's not stuck there. She's growing and moving forward.

The MMC also has his trauma and together they learn to push through. It's cute because it's not something they acknowledge is happening. It just happens that they grow.

He falls first and HARD. The tension you can feel off the page whenever they're in the same room. I also loved the dual POV and how the characters would start their POV a little before the next scene. It gives us a brief insight into their POV without it being a full chapter of the same thing.

Can we talk about the TWIST?? Okay, no. We can't. BUT, the twist. We love a twist. I genuinely did not see it coming.

I had theories and messaged Luna Peters just gushing over the book. I gave my theories and when finding out secrets I may have gotten over excited about it 😂😂

Anyway. This is a cute must-read.

I feel like I liked the main characters, but I didn't enjoy them. Lauren and Sydney definitely embodied young college students, and their friendship was cute. Caleb's relationships with his friends were also cute. Although I grew to like Lauren and Caleb's relationship with each other, I didn't like how it began. I feel like a girl in Lauren's shoes wouldn't be okay - at all - with being followed into a bathroom and suddenly engaging in sexual activities (with multiple orgasms) with an older guy when it was already stated older guys weren't her type. It seemed very off. The Dean of Admissions was cringey, his character having been created in a far too obvious fashion. I would've enjoyed more subtlety there, as well as with all interactions between him and other characters. The book cover also threw me off a bit. I don't think a light, super-girly pink with flowers and butterflies match the vibe of Lauren, Caleb (who I would've honestly liked to learn more about), Lauren and Caleb's relationship, or the story itself. If anything, the butterflies should have been swallows. I did love how the title got woven into the book, though. So, while the storyline was clear, easy to follow, and had lots of tension (plus that plot twist!), the book left me wanting a bit more out of it overall.

Never Let Go by Luna Peters completely swept me away from the very first chapter. This book is everything I crave in an emotional, slow-burn, heart-gripping romance—and then some. Peters has a gift for writing characters who feel so real that you swear you’ve known them forever, and in this story, she delivers her best work yet.
The chemistry, the tension, the aching longing—every moment is beautifully layered and emotionally charged. I found myself holding my breath during the tough scenes and smiling like an idiot during the softer ones. The way the characters grow, heal, and learn to trust again felt so raw and authentic that I couldn’t help rooting for them with my whole heart.

Completely Obsessed!

Never Let Go by Luna Peters absolutely wrecked me—in the best way possible. I went into this thinking I’d read a chapter or two before bed… and next thing I knew, it was 2 a.m. and I was ugly crying into my pillow.

This book is so full of heart. The characters felt real—messy, vulnerable, complicated—and I was rooting for them the whole time. The romance had just the right amount of tension and tenderness, and the emotional moments hit hard. I felt every word.

Luna Peters has this way of writing that’s both poetic and down-to-earth. It’s not over-the-top dramatic—it’s just honest and raw and beautiful. If you’ve ever had to let go of something you didn’t want to lose, this book will hit home.

Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a forbidden love, age-gap romance that's chock-full of tension, seething, and a relationship that has you kicking your feet, Never Let Go is a story that’ll break your heart a little and then gently put it back together. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time.

I’m such a sucker for the forbidden teacher student trope, and this book delivered everything I crave and more. Caleb is dragged out to a bachelor party against his will, fully expecting the night to be a disaster; until he sees her. Lauren is stunning, magnetic, and has him completely out of his element in the best way.

Meanwhile, Lauren is a hardworking scholarship student, laser focused on graduating. When she’s suddenly forced into a new English class, she’s just trying to stay on track; until she walks in, takes a seat, and sees him.
