Okay… the story line is there.. it was a decent read… but all of the typos? I know this was self published, but at least have an editor or proof read..

Great Plot, lots of twists

I loved the story, but the grammar and structure of the sentences were making it a bit hard to read but it was worth it. Can’t wait for the next one!

This book has so much potential and fell so flat... It is filled with a monumental amount of typos, punctuation and grammatical errors, and random numbers added into the text. Every time I would begin to enjoy the story, I was hit with whatever typo or an error. The more I read, the angrier I got because the typos interrupted the enjoyment of the story. The author couldn't even check to ensure her character names were all spelled correctly.
This book had the potential to be a PHENOMENAL start to an extremely unique series and yet the lack of editing and typos ruined it. Several paragraphs felt forced into the story without enough explanation or simply out of place and/or too early in the plot. It halted the progression due to information leaked far earlier than needed to make sense of what the hell she was trying to exactly construe.
There's no explanation to the magic system she created. I feel the author struggled to put words into fully formed sentences of what she wanted the explain to us readers regarding the magic. There's also some plot holes regarding the magic system that I wish were explained better.
The entire book is filled with errors. There isn't a single page without some form of typo. I got second-hand embarrassment for this author having published and sold this book to so many people with it looking like it did. It seems like it was a rushed 11th-grade English project that wasn't proofread and submitted a minute before the deadline. I pray to the book gods she gets a good editor and revamps this book to its fullest potential WITHOUT typos. This is such a unique story, which is its only saving grace to receive 2 stars. It's so close to being amazing and I am utterly disappointed this story is lacking.

3.5 ⭐️ 0.5 🌶️

The good:

• FMC is a bad ass even with all the heartbreak that’s happened to her
• different fantasy creatures - sirens are cool
• creative magic but similar
• world building
• side characters
• touch her and you will be unalived so fast
• water dragon like creatures that are bonded - this was so different and cool

The bad:

• so many grammatical and spelling errors 🥲
• felt rushed? One day we are being introduced to the fmc Ariah then the next day she agrees to be whisked away by a complete stranger and just accept she’s a lost heir? Bold.
• super anticlimactic considering the lead ups of this “huge” war coming
• cliche MMC which I normally wouldn’t complain about but here we are 🤣 (tattooed, huge, broody, worlds shadows)
• it seemed like 4-5 different other novels shoved into one
• the pace was a little fast for me…there was no in depth history on the FMC and it was like everything happened in 1 week. No longing, no tension, no buildup before the romance which was weak.

Being that this is only book 1 I’m holding out hope that book 2 will bring more bang for the buck! So far I love the creativity.

Let me start by saying, I took off a star only because of all the punctuation errors. Normally, it is easy to ignore, but it is quite excessive throughout the book, specifically the further you get into A Siren's Bond. Now that is out of the way, I still gave it 4 stars because a girl LOVES a good story, and one thing I can assure you is that the story is GOOD!!! I felt A Siren's Bond is easy to follow and stayed consistent throughout the book.

A Siren's Bond started smoothly, easing me into the difficult life of Ariah. Through her troubled past, she was able to consistently follow change and absorb the troubles she faces while advancing forward head first on her journey. The unknown connection she was building between her and her, unknown at the time, mate was exciting

amazing read!

This was such a fun and unique read. I love the siren aspect of it all, it was so creative and made it feel like a story I have never read before. The characters are well developed, and the story is face paced and sucks you in pretty quickly. And on top of all of it it is beautifully written. I am pretty sure she is an indie author, so my only complaint is the kindle addition needed a little more revision, there were a lot of really simple mistakes but it didn’t detract from the story much. Can’t wait to read the next one!

I love the uniqueness of the world building and magical system. The leviathans were a great addition. Velarian gives Tairns vibe! There's plenty of tension and yearning between our MCs. Twist at the end that I honestly did not see coming. I'm going to try not to spoil anything, but it made the story of her life come full circle. I cannot wait for book 2! The author is not afraid to let her characters make mistakes, I'm so pumped to see how they grow in the next book.

Entertaining for sure!

The book was fantastic and I loved the plot!! I’m usually good at seeing the outcomes in books and guessing what is about to happen but even I was caught off guard and surprised a few times!! The only recommendation I have is to go in and fix a few grammar mistakes but other than that’s it was a great read!!

Read this book!!

Go read this book! Go read this book! Go read this book! I absolutely enjoyed this book. You have a long lost siren, sea creatures, warriors, lost family, and so much more in this story. It will make you smile, make you angry, make you want to cry and most of all make you want to keep going. Fantasy with a little love mixed in and a little darkness.

I typically do not read a lot of fantasy books, but loved the fourth wing series and wanted something similar. 5/5 for twists,🌶️, keeping the story going- also did not realize this was a newer book, can’t wait to see how the next one turns out.

Great story

Great story, only knocking down one star because some of the grammar/spelling errors (trails vs trials, worriers vs warriors, etc.)

This book has a TON of potential to take off for one of the best books of the year! It will not disappoint! The story is so good! I can’t wait for the next one.

My only suggestion to the author is to go through and spell check and make sure proper words are used and characters names are always spelled correctly. I would be willing to help if help was wanted OR find an editor and a publisher cause this book DESERVES to be on bookstore shelves!!
