They were both supposed to be just a distraction for a few days, but somehow, it turned into something more.
Done with her friends constantly flaking on her, Tamara decides to book a last-minute spot on the singles-only spring break cruise hosted by the Royale Luxury Cruise Line. It’s the perfect escape from Texas, her ex-boyfriend, and her responsibilities for a few days. Her only plans were to enjoy the sun and forget about the life she left behind.
Ace Royale, the cruise line owner and part-time arms dealer, has worked hard for everything he’s got. After letting his assistant and cousin convince him to host the singles-only cruise, he has no plans of engaging in the activities. That is until he bumps into Tamara, the feisty woman who might be worth taking a break from work for.
These two will have the time of their lives together as things go from having fun to something much more. At the end of the cruise, will they be able to let go, or have they found exactly what they were looking for in each other?

Ohhhhhh this was good! I mean real good. I didn’t know where it would take me but I enjoyed it. I thought this was gonna be short, sweet, and cute based on the title. Y’all Khemistri played us. I mean big played in our face. She wrote tf outta this book cause it was different and it sucked you in BUT the way she ain’t prepare us for it not to end. Y’all at this point me and her can tussle. She hit us with a “The End” and then 18 months later AND still did not give us an ending. The way I want Ace and Tamara to get married and give me some babies. TUH!!! I can’t even say where this story is gonna go cause it ain’t went in no direction I THOUGHT it would. Not to mention watching them get to know each other on the cruise and how they slowly let each other in despite trying to fight it. YES!! Yes, YES!!! Loved. I love how Ace was the ninja EVERYTIME, he put down while trying not to put down and I loved it. Tamara tried to play like she wasn’t with it but he filled her up in more ways than just her insides and she loved it. Somebody else go read this so we can start a support group for each other cause Khem tried us. Loved this story line and I can’t wait to see how it comes to an end.
I saw this on BookTok and wanted a quick read so decided to give this a try and I was not at all disappointed. Ace made the list for Book Boyfriend for sure.
Summary 🙌🏽
Tamara decides to go on a Single Cruise by herself after all her friends flake on her at the last minute. She just wanted to enjoy a relaxing 7 days with no work or distractions. Little did she know she would catch the eye of Cruise Line Owner/Guns Dealer Ace Royale. He’s the use em and leave type but there is something he can’t quite figure out about Miss Tamara….
😍🥰 what I loved 😍🥰
The overall storytelling of the characters was *chefs kiss* Ace is that BOSS don’t tell him NO or that you aren’t going to do something he will show you he means better than he tells you.
“I’m not one of those regular N***. So, let me tell you how this shit is going to go. We’re going to head back to my room, get to know each other a little better, and then I’m going to f*** some manners into you”
But one thing about me, I didn’t get chosen by these n***, I chose them.
I loved how Ace was fighting himself hard to not feel for Tamara the way he was. The instant connection felt right because we all know if you have been on a cruise and go single you’ll 9 times out you’ll find a “cruise bae”
😩😒 what I didn’t 😩😒
It wasn’t long enough! LOL like how we only gonna get 137 pages…..
Overal👩🏽💻💌📖📚
I definitely would recommend this book. The storyline flowed well and didn’t feel too rushed even though it was a fast-paced romance. The ending will have you like ……
Listen here I can’t even form the words. This book This book This book was EVERYTHING There’s no way YOU GONNA LEAVE ME LIKE THIS I’m not accepting it you’re not doing this to me ….No no this book is going to continue. I need to figure out what’s gonna happen with Ace and Tamara I need a full book I 👏🏾NEED 👏🏾A 👏🏾FULL 👏🏾BOOK and on Mason in Ciara I also need a book leading up to how Mason, Ace and Ciara met .. I wanna know about josh and Tamara also Everybody read this book you will not be disappointed she did her thang
Khemistri J, I love this soo much for multiple reasons. This was so refreshing, cute and fun. Tamara was my girl, she never imagined she would have so much fun by herself until she wasn’t. Now Ace, while reading about Ace I was smiling and blushing. He was so charismatic and that made me smile. I wound love to see more of this couple in the future because I wasn’t ready for it to end.
Oh, there’s more to Tamara & Ace’s journey 🤭‼️”Spring Break With A Bad Boy” was the preamble to a few favorites & or honorable mentions: “Love Boat” 2.0 ✅…”The Note Book”✅…& ”Deliver Us From Eve” 🧐reversed. Nonetheless, the BB’s Bucket List 📝 cliffhanger was implied 😉🤩‼️
Baaabbby Ace is book bae with all the BDE. I loved how strong of a woman Tamara was and she didn't play. This is a great short read and I would love to see what happens with Ace and Tamara next.
I was really enjoying this book until it got to the end. They enjoyed each other and made promises to keep in touch but Ace later ghosted Tamara. This didn’t feel like an insta love story to me because of the ending.
I think the story was really good. I was disappointed in how the story ended. It left so many unanswered questions. I’m hoping that there will be a follow up book possibly around Christmas to address some of the unfinished storylines.
I loved this book just hated how it ended. I wanted to read more of them. Hopefully it’s more to come of their story. This is a must read in my opinion
I really enjoyed the characters, but I was a little disappointed overall. The story left a lot of threads unresolved, and it felt like it was meant to be part of a much longer book.
If this isn’t bde I don’t know what is. Not only did I feel the connection between them but I loved the growth of the author from this book to her first. Ms. Khemistri. You did your thing.
