It was supposed to be quick lick to help me stay afloat after losing my job. But everything goes wrong, and now I’m held captive by a dangerous man with wild hair that makes him look equal parts regal and feral. He isn’t afraid to exert his power over me. I know he can end me at any moment with his bare hands. My heart cares nothing about the harm he could cause us because it sees the pain he’s in through his troubled brown eyes. Escaping should be my focus, but every time he’s around, my body betrays me. Working in his club to repay a debt should’ve been reason enough to steer clear of him. Except he takes my virginity, and now I can’t unravel myself from his web of darkness, danger, and dick-tatorship.

I’m usually not a fan of dark romance but this one changed my mind completely! This grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it until the very end.

Knovah is being held captive by Sire, but the attraction between the two is undeniable. I enjoyed this book so much. I was intrigued by the plot and couldn’t put the book down until I knew how it would end. I was rooting for Knovah to escape but at the same time I wanted her and Sire to be together. I can’t lie, Sire grew on me as the story unfolded because at first I was looking at him sideways lol.

Mycah is a beast with the pen! She does a great job of intertwining danger and desire. The tension between the two could be felt with each word, capturing both fear and attraction perfectly. I found this to be an interesting and captivating story that explores the dynamics of love and power. This is definitely one that you want to add to your Kindle library asap! Highly recommend!

This book was very contradicting in some areas. It wasn't really giving motorcycle club. He rode a bike but that was all it was giving for me. He kidnapped this girl, made her sleep outside in the cold for days in pee and shit. Then you turn the page, and he was In love crying on her shoulder and hugging her trying to soothe her. Then the friend that helped her set up the robbery was in the wind and then not so in the wind. Not to mention, Her bad decision making from page one. Like you trying to beat somebody up because you went to your job and got searched and had weed. I couldnt feel sorry for her in that moment. THHHEEENNNN, when your BF said that her and her boyfriend that you dont know like that be setting niggas up, you see this has a good opportunity to get more information and want in. Gurrrrlllll, I was thoroughly confused about what it was that he wanted to happen.

Who doesn’t love a good case of Stockholm love?😅I’m always fascinated by kidnapper plots because I always want to see how the author gets us to the happily ever after. These two had good physical chemistry and a shared trauma history but I still found myself wondering “is it really love?” Sire was not a likable MMC in the beginning. He was extremely callous. Knovah really was too sweet & he didn’t deserve her honestly. I also wish there was just a bit more motorcycle club stuff.

Dark and Kinda Heavy

I know that the books in this series are not tied together or following any particular theme, other than involving motorcycle clubs, but this one was definitely different and much darker than the others I have read so far. Now, in full transparency, I have only read the books from the authors I am familiar with, and since I have liked Micah's work in the past, reading this was a yes. Only now I am sitting here questioning me and her because this book was a lot of a lot, and how she came up with it all is beyond me. It was dark and heavy and involved several difficult topics. There was a trigger warning, so I went into it prepared, or so I thought. Nonetheless, I kept reading, which is why I am questioning myself because although a HEA did come- it came at a VERY HIGH price to the FMC Knovah. Sire was a very difficult MMC to root for, too. Also, although this is part of the motorcycle series, the storyline of this book is really about darkness, finding light, forgiveness, and eventually love. There were no real motorcycle club activities or fully executed ride outs in this one. So, if that is what you are looking for, you won't find it here. You will find a LOT of a lot of other stuff, though.

First things first, the title Sire: On Your Knees immediately reads like a command, and as I went deeper into the book, I understood exactly why. This is the closest I’ve come to the older “bodice ripper” trope in contemporary romance and it almost felt like tugging on a core memory. The author definitely toes the line of what might be considered “too much” in today’s context.

Knovah’s life is spiraling; she’s just lost her job, her rent is due, and eviction looms. In desperation, she turns to her friend Ria, who ropes her into the shady hustle she runs with her boyfriend, Rico: luring unsuspecting men with promises of a good time, drugging them, and robbing them. But this time, things go horribly wrong. Their target turns out to be the younger brother of JaSire Dupree, a mafia heir of sorts. When Rico shoots him, leaving him near death, Knovah is abandoned at the scene.

Sire takes her as collateral, dragging her back to his penthouse. There, she’s forced to work as his maid and potentially even in the brothel he runs until he can track down her runaway friends. What begins as a captor–captive dynamic quickly shifts into undeniable sparks, tension, and eventually, blisteringly hot intimacy.

Both Knovah and Sire carry their own baggage, and the story allows us to see how they confront those shadows, shed parts of their past, and begin to envision a future together. For me, the weakest link was the lack of a fully fleshed-out family arc. I wanted more integration of extended family dynamics, which would have added depth to the overall story.

That said, the intimate scenes were so well executed; sensual, strategic, and incredibly appealing to the senses. The author really knew how to place words for maximum effect, and it worked.

All in all, this was a hot, engaging, and easy read that kept me turning the pages.

I couldn’t stand Sire in the beginning. By the end of the book, I had like this inner turmoil trying to accept the fact that I’d grown to like him. Sire did some really fucked up shit to Knovah at the start…and a little in the middle. He did a complete 180 by the end, and I begrudgingly admit that Sire’s actions and vulnerability had me smiling.

Knovah was a very sweet yet feisty woman who just wanted to do something with her life. Unfortunately for her, her best friend and her best friend’s boyfriend get Knovah caught up in some shit. But I meeean the situation leads Knovah to the love of her life and happiness, so was it really *that* unfortunate? Now, the shit that Knovah went through to get her HEA was terrible, but she got the end results that she craved.

Knovah had Stockholm syndrome like a mf and her and Sire trauma bonded a bit. It worked out for them though. Sire and Knovah were able to acknowledge this and question themselves on whether or not the feelings they felt were authentic.

There’s not much interaction with other people in this book. We spend a lot of time with Sire and Knovah in his penthouse getting to know one another, having sex, going tit for tat, discussing their traumas, and learning their personalities. When we do interact with someone outside of the penthouse, it’s usually pretty brief. And it’s so brief and infrequent, that I kept forgetting that this book is a part of the motorcycle club series.

The only times the motorcycle club was mentioned was in the beginning for exposition and later whenever Sire spoke with his dad (and Sire couldn’t stand his daddy so it wasn’t often). When Knovah got a motorcycle in the epilogue, I literally said, “why?” because I forgot about the damn club 😂

I really enjoyed this book. I will say overall, I am really enjoying a lot of the books in the BLP motorcycle club series. I will say Sire...oh man... he (so far) from the 3 I've read, is the most savage in a way. He was very toxic, but most of the MC's are in this series, but they usually get it together by the end lol. Most of the stories deal with strong black men who have experienced trauma of some sort in their childhoods that have turned them cold and caused them to dismiss love and push love away because they feel deep down they don't deserve it or feel they aren't capable of loving a woman. But Sire, I think bothered me the most because instead of just "pushing her away" or "breaking it off abruptly" when he felt himself falling in love with her, he orchestrated something extremely devastating to happen to her that would have changed her for the rest of her life and would have violated her in the worst way. Personally I don't know if I would have been able to forgive him even if I did love him deeply like Knovah did, however I am so happy that she did decide to forgive him because I love when two people who truly love each other do get their happy endings at the end of the story and are able to overcome obstacles that are thrown their way. I love when true love conquers all. Sire redeemed himself and I am happy he chose to trust himself to love Knovah and give her the love she deserved.

Sire and Novi, A Destined Love

This is one of my favorite books in this series!!!…Sire stressed me out so badly I wanted to reach through the book and shake him!!!…The fact that he was so tough on the outside and yet so tender on the inside made me love his character even more!!!…
I loved the kidnapped to lover dialogue too!!!…
I was not expecting them to open up as they did to each other and the things they revealed broke my heart!!!…The loss of a sibling will change many things about you and allowing themselves to share truly helped in their healing process!!!…
Novi was so sweet and lost, which broke my heart that she allowed her friend to talk her into something that she wouldn’t normally wouldn’t do out of fear of losing everything!!!…
I was not happy that Sire was using her vulnerability against her, but I was excited when she finally stood up for herself & let him know that she was done being treated and spkn to crazy!!!…
Their bonding session were so cool to and to see them vulnerable with each other made you wanna root for them even more!!!…

I love me a little kidnap book all that forced proximity has me sitting at the edge of my seat just waiting for something to pop off. And this book gave me just that. It had enough drama, but it wasn't overpowered. It gave me enough time to connect with the characters and really fall in love with them as a couple. Nonnie and Sire love was raw because of how they got there. I found it loving to see them bond with each other and really feel comfortable with each other. This book also had some of my favorite tropes in it, which made it just much more enjoyable. And baby Sire nor Nonnie could keep their hands off each other. But I highly recommend this book. To anyone, but I also think it's a great look into the kidnapping rrope if you were trying to dip your feet into it.

Whelp, trying to make fast money doesn't always work out. It could lead to your life being put into jeopardy. An honest wage is almost always
better.

Knovah had to find out the hard way after trying to pull a fast one on Mir, the brother of Sire. Sire made her life a living hell by holding her captive and making her pay a debt.
Sire was cold-blooded! He, however, fooled around and caught feelings, and so did she.

All those plans thrown out the window in regards to how he was gonna make her pay her debt to him. They went on an expedition, exploring their attraction and feelings.
Their experienced pain of loosing sisters brought out the softer side towards each other. Knovah and Sire decided to help each other see their future by healing. They couldn't stand not being with each other.

Now, old man Dupree was a piece of crap. Just a nasty, hateful man! I still don't trust his crusty ass.

I like how these MC brothers are hard but can be softened up by the perfect woman for them.

All I Can Say Is WOWWWW!!!

This story was so good! The title captured my attention. The first few pages and every page after held on to it. I love the fact that Sire and Knovah’s story isn’t your typical love story, but it’s a love story nonetheless. I really enjoyed them peeling back each other’s layers. The circumstances that brought them together were unique, but the love was raw and real. The drama in this story was top tier, and this was easily one of my favorite books! I loved it that much!
Loved Sire’s energy. Especially when it came to his woman…..

"You're crazy."
He nodded. "Especially about you."

Amazing

Two broken hearts dealing with grief being able to finally let walls down once they opened up to each other speaking their truth allowing the healing to start. Sire fighting his feelings had him spiraling. Knovah so called best friend set her up then leaving her alone not caring what happened to her she got exactly what she deserved for what she did to Knovah as well as all the other people they hurt.
Sire dad was a coward as well as.a.jerk for the way he treated Sire I think he was covering up something that's why he has been pushing him so hard to take over. A.great read.

Nice very nice

This standalone is so lit. I love my new babies like a heartbeat. Sire father is a peace of work, holding a grudge on his oldest son for what happened to his daughter that he couldn't prevent. Ol girl best friend was wrong as hell from how they left her there from the robbery. I'm glad everything came out to be a happy ending, and I can't wait to get an update about them. U did good on the first book that I read of urs and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read.

🤦🏾‍♀️ Had I not Googled the author, you could not convince me a male didnt write this book!!

* holds her captive
* forces her to shake a little something at his club.
* her vcard excites him, so he takes that too. But you know he makes it good for her...

All a while she fallscfor her captor.

"She'd even gone as far as slicing the steak into smaller pieces for me to easily fork."

This was Stockholm syndrome at its finest.

I'm starting a cleaning business. How many acres is your condo? 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️!!

Sire: On Your Knees (BLP Motorcycle Club Book 11)

This book was different. It didn't focus so much on the MC aspect, but more so on the trauma 😕of losing someone you love and holding on to the guilt and grief because you feel like it is your fault. Sire and Noonie needed each other in the worst way. A botched robbery brought them together and it was the best thing the universe could have done. They were living but not living. Coming together and heading each other as well as with each other gave them a love for a lifetime.

Great job!!!

Sire and Knovah!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Sire and Knovah's relationship was complex from the start because of how they met. It was also such an emotional book due to the grief that Sire and Knovah have to overcome from their past. Neither one of them believed that they deserved love, but I enjoyed reading about them finding what they needed in each other. Her so-called best friend and Sire's daddy were both foul, and I couldn't stand either one of them. Great book that is definitely a recommended read!!

Loved It!!

I love a story where the MC has a little toxic BDE going on, and honey Sire had all of that in this story. This story was about to fractured souls that find each other in the most unbelievable situation. Both were holding on to pain that was not really theirs to shoulder. JaSire’s pain surfaced as anger and made him mean. Knovah’s pain surfaced as a vulnerability and made her withdraw, but together they healed each other and flourished!! And the sexual scenes are like that😍!! Five stars Ms. Edward’s!!

very interesting read

This book in the BLP series was a roller coaster ride. Sire probably represents a lot of the men out here today. Most tend to bury their feelings and demons rather than dealing with them head-on. He had every intention of treating Knovah just like any other woman who crossed his path, but divine intervention saw differently. This story also shows you how a “real friend” can leave you out to dry as well. I encourage you to read it if you can deal with the traumatic events that happen throughout the book.

Sire & Novie

This was my first book by this author, and whew…what a ride! I’ll be checking out more of your work. At first, I could not stand Sire like, sir, why do you have women out here selling their bodies?? But Novie, girl…knew that “friend” of yours was shady. You know how some women act when new 🍆 enters the chat. 😂

Still, I ended up loving the growth between Novie and Sire. Their connection pulled me in. I’m just mad my girl didn’t get to sample a few more 🍆 before locking it down! 😂

Heal and Live

Okay, now hear me out... Her "best friend" did her dirty as heck. Yeah, I would have been helping everyone find both them jokers and asked for a turn in their demise. IJS

Sire, my dear sir. You had it bad, but I understood your reservations. I hated you in the beginning. However, you grew on me. You became a listener and understood my girl after observing her closely and vice versa.

This was a good book.

Absolutely Amazing Read

Noonie couldn't seem to catch a break from life. Ria did her wrong and deserved her karma. Sire capturing Noonie was a bad thing in the beginning. Once they broke down each other's walls, it was bliss. Aside from the hurt that they were both harboring, they had a lot in common. Their fell in love so easily and didn't want to be without the other. This was an amazing read!

Sir and Novi, kidnapping trope

Sire was so mean to Novi. Keeping her hostage and making her work nude or in skimpy outfits had me pissed but poor thing he was afraid of losing another sibling and it almost happened because of Novi's friend and bf. He was just a misunderstood man. When the time was right Novi became the one he couldn't live without. There were many twists and turns but I love a good kidnapping story

I mean dang!!!!!!! That’s my first response. Also the author gave a trigger warning at the beginning. And listen…believe what she said. It’s dark. And I mean dark. But it’s also beautiful. So if you can handle it push on!!!!

If not…just look for a spoiler.

They get tougher and fall in love 🤣🤣❤️❤️

Sire on my knee was like wow. He was crazy about Knovah and he took her virginity and she could catch a break for anything but sire was always there for her when she needed it . His demanding was say listen to daddy and you get a reward and be punished if you didn’t listen . Lol but 10/10 would recommend you read.

Good💕💕

I enjoyed this so much, two people struggling over losing someone close to them come together in a most unusual way. Loved how their love for each other helped to heal them. Sex scenes were 🔥 and 🌶. Now for the cover it does not fit the description of Sire. In the book he was said to have braids,🤔🤔 the good looking guy on the cover doesn't.
