Twisted Desires #2

Yours to Break

Rate this book
Oliver Lucchetti never expected to be managing his grandmother’s antique store—alone—at age 23. He finds solace in his quiet life. Coffee shop visits and sleepovers with his best friend are the most exciting activities of his week. When his peaceful routine is upended by the Cohen brothers, he resents them, wanting nothing to do with them. By the time he realizes that Hayes and Hudson are much more dangerous than he thought, it may be too late to escape with his mind intact.

Hayes and Hudson Cohen have always shared everything—secrets, sins, and the thrill of control. The moment they see Oliver, they can’t resist the temptation to break him. As they weave an intricate web of seduction, deceit, and terror, Oliver finds himself trapped in a nightmare of desire turned deadly.

Yours to Break is the second book of Twisted Desires, a series of interconnected standalones. The events of Yours to Break take place at the same time as those of Under Your Care (Book One). You do not need to read Under Your Care in order to read Yours to Break, however, it may be more enjoyable to do so. Yours to Break is a dark romance between a transmasc MC and two male MCs featuring pet play, fear play, pain play, and more! Full CWs included inside.

Hi!

I’m a new author in the MM romance space. I primarily write dark romance, but like wholesome dark romance? You won’t find any verbal abuse or bullying in my books. I understand some people like that, but some people (me) prefer our morally grey men to dote on us.

My education background is in Criminology and Psychology, but I’ve always had a love for literature. I grew up writing short stories and poetry. As I got older, my creativity seemed to fade away and I became stuck in a monotonous routine. In December 2024, I suddenly decided to write Under Your Care. It felt like I had finally found what I was supposed to be doing with my life. I am so excited to share even more romantic, depraved, and kinky stories with everyone!!

Thank you,
E. (Elizabeth) Baileu

First of all: this book is heavy on the triggers and a pitch black dark romance book, so please, as always, be aware of that before reading.

This story was a wild ride, whew. If you are looking for a healthy relationship or communication, you're not going to find it here 🤭

Oliver is transmasc. He is very insecure and shy. Hudson and Hayes are twins, and they both are psychopaths, like really unhinged 🙈 they search for something more, and when they meet Oliver, they want him.

I would recommend to read the first book to get a better understanding of the characters, but technically it could be read as a standalone.

Now I need to cool down for a bit 🥵

ARC REVIEW

I was immediately sold on the tropes and after reading book one, I completely fell in love with Oliver. He’s tender, complex, and endlessly lovable. Honestly, I just want to wrap him in a blanket and give him the entire world. He deserves softness and safety, and this book makes you feel everything for him.

This second installment takes a much darker, more twisted turn. If book one was intense, this one dives headfirst into the shadows. Hayes and Hudson the enigmatic, unhinged twins have a love for Oliver that borders on obsessive. It’s possessive, raw, and disturbingly beautiful in a way that leaves you both unsettled and fascinated. Their connection with Oliver is anything but conventional, but it’s magnetic and impossible to look away from.

What stood out most to me is how much more psychologically intense this book is. The layers of emotional manipulation, longing, and power dynamics really dial up the tension, making this feel much more unhinged than its predecessor. The stakes are higher, the emotions are messier, and the danger is ever-present.

⚠️ Trigger Warnings: Please read them carefully before diving in. This book ventures into darker territory, with more explicit content and themes that might not be for everyone.

That said, I’m fully hooked and so excited (and terrified) to see what comes next. This series isn’t just a story it’s a chaotic, emotional rollercoaster you can’t stop thinking about.

I was very scared going in to this - mainly because of certain kinks I wasn't sure I was into - but I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this. I loved how the twins handled Oliver being trans and how they slowly tried to understand his feelings, despite them being psychopaths.

I can't wait for Josh's book! That will be an interesting turn in this series to focus on another characters outside the Cohen brothers, Lane and Ollie.

I had so many hopes for this book that didn't come to fruition. It wasn't a bad book by any means but at the same time, there were so many things that got swept past that I feel should have been gone over more. For example, Oliver is trans ftm and at the start of the book he explains that he's not comfortable with the idea of sex or intimacy because of that, yet when it comes to it, its not even discussed with the twins. The sex itself feels so rushed, as does Oliver accepting being held captive by them. There isn't really any stress over it after the initial fear from book 1.

I did enjoy getting to be in oliver's head in every other aspect of the story, especially things that bring the first book into context and getting to see how the twins minds worked was so fun. I really liked Josh's character so I'm excited to see where his story goes in the next book. The relationship between the mc's was really cute in the end and overall I did enjoy it, I just feel like it should have been longer to give those things mentioned above more attention/make them feel less rushed.

Yours To Break isn’t just a book—it’s a descent. A beautiful, broken, fucked-up spiral into a world where obsession isn’t just hot—it’s scorching. Where possessiveness clings like smoke, and love feels like a weapon wielded with reverence. This story claimed me. Dragged me in. And didn't let go.

Let’s talk Oliver. Fragile, fierce and so heartbreakingly real. His trauma is raw, his fears authentic, and his resilience? Devastatingly powerful. He’s not a perfect victim. He’s human. And that’s what makes him utterly magnetic. His narration is tender and vulnerable, laced with pain and longing so tangible you feel it echo in your chest.

Enter Hayes and Hudson—twin assassins. Monsters. Beautiful, unhinged predators who’ve never learned the difference between love and ownership. Their obsession with Oliver? It's feral. Intense. Deliciously fucked-up. They don’t want to court him—they want to consume him. And somehow, through all the toxicity and danger, it becomes everything. The power exchange is brutal and aching and disturbingly intimate.

What shocked me most? How emotionally invested I became. Not just in the spicy, knife’s-edge tension, but in the genuine undercurrent of healing, recognition, and craving connection in a world that’s tried to erase people like Oliver. The trans rep is beautifully layered, never fetishized, but deeply explored with care, pain, and honesty.

And let's not forget—this book is DARK. There are moments that make your stomach twist, and yet…they’re written with such intention, such psychological depth, that you can’t look away. It’s twisted romance at its finest—where love hurts, and pain sometimes heals.

And the twins? Let’s just say…if you like your men obsessed, dangerous, and ready to burn the world down for their boy? You’re going to fucking worship this story. They’re the kind of characters that set your standards way too high and your sanity way too low.

Final Thoughts:

This book is not safe, not sweet, and not forgettable. It claws under your skin and makes a home there. If you're into obsession, trans MCs, pet play, knife play, and two unhinged doms who’d kill for a boy who’s already breaking…Yours to Break will ruin you in the most exquisite way.

E. Baileu, you magnificent monster—what the fuck did you do to my heart?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Obsessed. Corrupted. Claimed.

I love this one! 😍 The dedication caught my attention, and the twins stole the show. They're so devoted to Ollie, it's soooo sweet🥹❤️ Their love for him is heartwarming. I felt bad for Ollie during tough times, and it made me emotional. The spice is sooooo HOT!!🔥🔥 I was so excited for this book and it did not disappoint 🫠❤️

DNF @ 65% on 15th Jan, 2026. Ok, wtf did i just read? And i didn't even stop until this point lmao. It was super fucked up but also hot?? Lmao 💀These men are unhinged. Oh poor Ollie. i dnfed bcuz the twins decided to fuck him right in front of Lane’s rapist cousin. That was the last straw. They never cared about him. All that pretence at the beginning was gone once they kidnapped him. He was just used, abused and tortured. Not even mind break can save that guy, i'm afraid. Or maybe that's the final training?? o_O 🙄

i don’t care about the pet play aspect. Not my kink, not my problem. The sex scenes were sometimes gross, but again, that's not my issue. It's the 24/7 maltreatment that i didn't like. It stopped feeling like roleplay and started feeling like they genuinely thought he was an animal they could fuck whenever.

❌So once they had him... Where did all the tenderness go? Like, Hayes watching all the animal docs, and actually thinking of Ollie as a person. Gone. Ollie's reduced to a fuck animal..? 24/7 and that's the problem. Not just pet play in bed, it's like he's actually reduced to being an animal. i get that it's a dark book so ofc it's like this but i feel like it's beyond humiliation. And i only say this bcuz the twins make it a point to say how much they want to spoil their pet, anything he wants he gets yada yada but then they go and treat him as not a human but just a mere family pet. A pet they fuck anytime, btw.
Also, if he ever asked for his store back, or just to have a job in general, the answer would be no. Why would a pet have a job? So, again, we’d laugh in his face and give him as many orgasms in a row that it would take to shut down any thoughts of becoming less dependent on us.

❌Hudson's pov begins with him fucking a rando in a sex club so immediately i didn't like him. i thought Hayes was the better of the two. Both are obsessed, yes, but he seemed to be mentally starting to care for Ollie. But nope. The version of them at the start of the story and the one after the kidnapping, are completely different. It’s hard to even comprehend these were the same guys who were watching animal documentaries just for Ollie’s sake. Like nah… the ones we get after the kidnap are just…. inhuman.

And the thing i hated the most was how these 2 would say shit like this:
but the way he looked at us when he said them. Like we were beneath him, like he had measured us—me and Hudson both—and found us lacking. That shouldn’t have mattered. We were gods compared to him. But somehow, he held all the power.

No. No, he didn't. Ollie has no power whatsoever. For what happens after the kidnapping, how Ollie's treated, it's clear he has zero say about anything. Then again here:
Hayes nodded, dragging a finger lightly down Oliver’s naked form. I watched my twin’s expression intently, obsessed with the way he looked at our pet like he was a gift. Our gift. Our treasure. Our little one, our pup, our pet, our precious, our baby, our slut. Our everything. Fuck. Oliver had trained us just as well as we had him.

Again. No he didn’t. And yet, they've never treated him like a treasure. Like an animal though (excluding the pet play “training”)? Yeah sure. It never felt like they had any care or respect for him. Yeah they kept internally saying 'our precious thing' bla bla but actions were saying the opposite. And then this braindead thing hudson says. Yeah sure. Your victim trained you too. Sure, buddy. 🙄
These dialogues are said to lull us, the readers into a false sense of security. That they may just care for Ollie. May just really value him as a person. But NOPE.

While this is actually how they treat Ollie:
“What? You said Lane is okay! That’s n-not okay—”Hudson covered Oliver’s mouth. “Shh, be good. He’s not dead.” Tears pricked at the corners of Oliver’s downturned eyes.

❌And it makes no sense given what's happened up until this point, for Oliver to be suddenly baking on his own. Like it was never established that he had any freedom in this house to do anything. i mean i get that his brain broke... But still like, who gets spankings as rewards??

❌There's so much info dumping right off the bat. The 1st chapter is basically the whole MC backstory with nothing much happening except for 1 or 2 dialogues. Rest, just telling his life & transition history. Then the next chapter he dedicates to telling us how he tends his shop, what his typical day looks like. Again, nothing happening in the story though. We haven't seen anything yet.

The only parts i liked were at the beginning, with Ollie and when the twins were duping us into thinking they were actually nice. You know, the whole “give us 1 date. You do even have to have sex” illusion.
✔ i really liked that Ollie is trans, and i could instantly connect with him becuz of it. Josh was great, too. It's a shame he wasn't the one. And i'll give credit to the lunatics cuz they were instantly accommodating of Ollie's gender.

✔ i loved that Ollie was aware of what they were trying to do, which helped him resist. But his mind broke eventually. It felt less like a choice and more like “comply or be had anyway” like just a victim latching onto their abuser.

Tropes, tags & CWs: Stalking (by MCs), rape of MC by MCs, physical and psychological torture on MC by MCs, MC drugged by other MCs, forced pupification, pup play, neurodivergent MC, crying (in general), choking, forced fingering, shaming & humiliation, squirting, almost fisting, slapping, blood play, cutting, DP, dress him up, total control (not with consent), subspace, flogging.

3.75 stars rounded up to 4. This was really easy to read, I literally devoured it. Very engaging from start to end. There were many things I enjoyed from it and a few others I would've wanted more of.

The plot is about Oliver, a guy who has a simple life but somewhat empty. He works on his own shop that he inherited from his grandma, one of the very few supportive people in his life after coming out as a trans man. One day, things take a turn when his friend Lane and him meet Lane's therapist and the man's relatives: a pair of twins called Hudson and Hayes. Both take a sudden interest in Oliver and they won't let him get away easily from their attention.

First of all, this book was very addictive. It was a fun ride with interesting MCs and dynamics. I absolutely loved the elements of obsession and possessiveness, as well as a good cliche kidnapping. I'm a sucker for that combination, and making it a poly-V? I was super into it. I loved Oliver and I found adorable how he just wanted to be loved amd accepted. I liked how his skittish and wary personality at the beginning clashed with the twins since they're very possessive and cannot take a no for an answer.

This brings me into talking about the dynamic which is the center of the book. I thought all of them had chemistry and it was exciting to see what the twins would do next when Oliver wasn't 'giving up' so easily. I do wish this kept happening for a bit longer in the book, but that's alright. I really liked how it's stated that their relationship is fucked up, but it still works somehow. I liked that ultimately, Oliver got to realize things about himself and his needs, even if it didn't necessarily happen in the healthiest way.

Now onto the things that I expected more of:

-This told the same story as book 1 but from another perspective (Oliver's), and while I enjoyed this POV, I still wanted something else such as going past these events and more into the future of the timeline because it felt kind of repetitive. That definitely makes it work as a standalone though.

-The twins didn't really have a distinct voice. I could never really tell them apart, but I didn't mind this much because I still was into the whole thing lol, I just wanted to mention what I noticed anyway.

-I think Oliver and Josh's connection could've been used more.

-I would've loved this more if the book had focused more on the psychological aspect instead of having so much sex. Don't get me wrong, I love smut amd here it was done well but when it happens too often my mind craves for something else. Perhaps with more pages including plot development this could've been solved.

Other than that, I thought this book was very entertaining and a very easy read, it delivers exactly what it says on the blurb and the dynamic between the three guys is engaging. I've been wanting to read this since these trio were teased in book 1, so I'm glad Oliver got his own book.

Looks like next one is Josh's, so I'm keeping an eye o this series. It's perfect for people that love dark elements in a story paired up with an unhealthy relationship that works.

-This was an ARC review.

Definitely a 3 or less star rating.👎🏾

Please, feel free to help me understand this book, lovely community, as I'm finding it difficult to continue on with this story.

Why does this book disgust me? Why do I feel none or only limited research was done about transmasc men? Is the author transgender? If not, they should definitely try seeking out an array of different transgender experiences before embarking on something of this nature. If they are transgender, they should have taken care not to allow Oliver's transition to be taken so lightly, by ignoring crucial areas that make a huge impact during their journey. Neglecting discussion with sexual partners about sexuality and preferences seems wrong and dismissive of transmasc individuals.

I initially had, and still do a bit, have issues with Oliver and how he treated and dismissed Lane's turmoil and trauma in book one (understanding his fear of being ignored by Lane in book two making me not hate him as much, but still wary of him and his reactions and personal opinions bleeding onto others). Understanding the twins and their motivations are much easier for me. However, as a transmasc gay man who's struggled all my life with bottom and top gender dysphoria (as it was stated that Oliver was concerned about bottom issues so I continued reading because if he hadn't have been, I would have stopped reading then and there as I dislike reading stories where women are being penetrated in their "front hole" or vaginal sex is described (trans or not), as it is a turn off and literally makes me nauseous to the point of vomiting). So to my confusion, it was disconcerting that after being kidnapped at gun point and while being fingered in a car in his "front hole" being told he needed to cum by one of the twins while saying "no/stop" that they continued and he supposedly enjoyed it and found comfort in the individual who was violating him by falling asleep in his arms being hugged by them, still at gunpoint. How does that work?

This statement disturbed me:

"The fact that he had an extra hole made sense for someone who was supposed to belong to us."

...but thought it would be addressed when it arose, but it was not. I understand how this may make sense to the individual that is not trans, but it does not make sense to trans individuals with bottom dysphoria. Why was this not discussed further? It's as if the trans individual's mental health was ignored for the benefit of psychotic twins who often feel nothing for those around them, yet their feelings and mental stability was discussed often. What gives?! While a trans person may feel sensations in their "front hole" that does not mean they need/require relief there through penetration to orgasm, as that is how it is made to seem in the book, as if that is a normal occurrence among transmasc men who have not received bottom surgery. Many trans men do not want to be touched there, do not want to think about anything sexual happening there, and do not require/need it penetrated to be aroused and/or to orgasm. Some are fine with it, but definitely only after discussion and mutual understanding.

If I'm uncomfortable and say "no" when being touched in an area of my body that does not bring me Euphoria, but the exact opposite of that, taking comfort in the person bringing me discomfort and rejecting my pleas is the last thing I will do. I suppose, being held at gun point, I may relent, but with complete internal duress and I would never be able to actually orgasm whether I was attracted to the person or not. I may fake it, but only to get away from them.

What am I missing here? When did Oliver discuss with the twins that he would enjoy being penetrated in his "front hole" and that saying to "stop" or "no" meant the twins could continue?

☠️🐶They were serpents in the Garden of Eden. And I was beginning to think I was Eve☠️🐶

"Most people wouldn't understand what it was like to grieve a voice you never got the chance to have, or what it felt like always to have been the topic of whispered discussions."

"Every interaction felt like a test I hadn't studied for, and every time I was misgendered, it felt like a cut that I had to pretend didn't hurt."

"Sometimes it felt like I was mourning the life I should have had; the body that I should have been born into."

"He seems very breakable." A glint appeared in my twins eye.
"Want to find out?"
"Yeah. I think I do."

"Something about Oliver just inspired new feelings in my twin and me. He seemed like he belonged at our feet, in our house."

"I wanted to understand what comes him down. The world freaks him out. If I can give him a pocket of quiet---something familiar---maybe he won't look at us like we scare him."

"Our gift. Our treasure. Our little one, our pup, our pet, our precious, our baby, our slut. Our everything. Oliver had trained us just as well as we had him."

"I didn't know if I could breathe around you guys anymore."
"Then let us teach you. Let us show you that you're not going to suffocate. That you were meant to breathe in our air."

This was a fantastic follow-up to Under Your Care. This was a dark book with so many triggers. This had some great troupes like MMM with twins, psychopath MCs, forced proximity, and lots of kink. I love how this series is heavy on the hurt/comfort. This author does justice with writing the trauma and healing. I love the representation of the Trans MC in this story. It was written very well. The spice in this was spicin and full of different kinks 🔥🔥🔥😏.

This story follows Oliver, Hayes, and Hudson. We catch glimpses of them in the last book so we know Oliver gets kidnapped by the twins at some point. This story starts off on events from book one. We see how they first meet. We see different POVs from all characters during the same events of book one. We see the twins trying super hard to get Oliver to go out in any capacity with them 😂😂. Eventually, the twins take matters into their own hands and take their pup. Will Oliver fall victim to the twins like Lane did with Grey? Can the twins feel anything for Oliver?

I loved the three of them so much. Yes, the twins are psychopaths and don't care about anyone. But they do develop feelings and fall hard for Oliver. Oliver is basically going through Stockholm Syndrome at this point and being brainwashed, but it's better than being alone and living the life he thought was fine. The twins were very sweet, attentive, and loving to Oliver once they got past the captive stage 🤣🤣. It took Oliver a while to finally break down and just accept that he loves them.

I loved how the author gave equal time and POVs to all three MMCs in this. The flow for the MMM relationship was perfect. I loved the relationship between the twins. Their banter was hilarious and everything 😂😂. Especially when they tried to understand what interests Oli had lol. Poor Oli had it rough growing up and I felt so sad for him 😭. So happy he finally got his HEA with his psycho twins 😈. I can't wait to read Josh's story next! What an amazing series so far! ☠️🩸🐶🖤

*This book has a trans mc and feminizing dirty talk. I’ve read that in other books and thought it was distasteful… in this book, I think it truly works and fits the characters with the super submissive mc and his relationship to his masters. IMO the character was treated with respect and the dirty talk was hot as hell*

I was (I really was) going to work on a few ARCs and/or TBRs...but then I saw this book (the first one) was on a Pillow Princess mm list and...well...here we are. This is E. Baileu's "Yours to Break." It's the second novel in their Twisted Desires series.

The moment I realized the next book in this series (this book) was going to be Oliver and the--psychic--twins. I was giddy. Who doesn't love that level of dark romance?

I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I did. It was as hectic and chaotic and borderline insane (no, just regular insane) as I expected. But there were a lot of softer sides and sweeter moments than I had expected.

This is Book 2 in the Series. They are interconnected stand alones so you don't need to read the first one to read this one. It is encouraged for flow and this one goes along the same time line/events from the first book. This is also a Dark Romance boarding on Pitch Black so please please check those TWs before heading in. I does end with a HEA 🖤

🌶🌶🌶🌶.5

Oliver has led a pretty solitary life after his parents abandoned him when he came out as Trans. He was able live with his grandmother for a bit but after she passed he was alone again. When Oliver met his best friend Lane he leaned on him for anything he needed. Now after Lane meets his boyfriend Grey things start to splinter again until Grey's younger Twin brothers Hudson and Hayes set eyes on Oliver. You might be thinking that's great! New friends for Oliver maybe even a double love interest...and you would be right...if these twins weren't also Psychopaths. They don't really court Oliver they just skip to the people stealing part and make Oliver theirs. Their obsessive/possessiveness is beyond anything I have read before. We should be mad about this right?! People stealing is not ok in the real world but in book world Hudson and Hayes see that Oliver is alone and in need of care so they just act on that. These two are Morally Pitch Black so integrating Oliver into their lives...is rough for Oliver, until he realizes what these two are doing for him...which obviously takes alot. Now what I will say was absolutely amazing with these two was the acceptance of Oliver being Trans. I don't even really wanna say acceptance as Oliver was just Oliver to them he was made for them in every way so there wasn't even anything really to accept. I had just swooned over that. Guys this is dark dark ok it's not even that your moral compass can't point north it's that there is no moral compass so please keep that to the front of your mind. They do explain their thought process to Oliver and understanding and love is built between them but whew the road is bumpy so buckle up!
I absolutely cannot wait for book 3 to drop E. Baileu is absolutely killin' it in this dark little world and I'm obsessed 🖤

I was looking forward to this book after reading book one, as Ollie and the twins had me curious. This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the obsessive and possessiveness of the twins and how they were so infatuated with Ollie the first time they met. Ollie is the opposite of the twins and is very sweet, kind and just wants to be loved.

Their relationship is not normal and doesn’t even start normal. You could even say the twins stalked Ollie, even if just to watch over him. Then they force Ollie at gunpoint and say they are keeping him as their pet. This humiliation and captive mindset really messed with Ollie’s head as he had started to fall for the twins before he was taken by them and now, he doesn’t know what to think. In the end Ollie falls for these psychopath twins, and is willing to work at their relationship as the twins do love him in their own way.

I highly recommend reading Under Your Care book 1 before reading this one. Very enjoyable series and I am so excited to see what will happen in the next book with Josh… hmm maybe something extra delicious?? 🤤

Critique for this book:
I wanted more Ollie, Hayes and Hudson. I think it was a great story, but I felt like some of the scenes jumped too fast and not detailed enough. I understand that it’s crossing over the same timeline as book one and scenes are similar from different POVs. Especially towards the last half of the book, I felt like it was just all book one again. I wish these scenes were the ones cut shorter/ higher level recap, I wanted more of Ollie and the twins. 😊

First off, I got this book as an ARC, but all opinions are my own. I honestly really enjoyed it and finished it in less than a day because I just couldn’t put it down.

If you’ve read the first book, some parts might feel a little repetitive since a few scenes were pretty much the same—just told from a different POV. But honestly, I didn’t mind that much because I loved seeing things from the twins’ and Oliver’s perspectives, especially all the emotions Oliver was going through.

I really liked how the twins changed over time after meeting Oliver and how they tried to figure out their feelings. Some parts of their relationship felt a bit rushed, but overall, this book was such a fun read and I’m excited to see what the author comes up with next!

Side note: While I can’t speak for the community, I thought the trans representation was really well done. The author made an effort to be educational, touched on the struggles of coming out and transphobia (not within the MCs), but kept it brief and impactful. What I found super refreshing was that Oliver being trans was always there, but never the focus—it was more like background noise. Like, you know the guy has brown hair, but if he had blond hair instead, it wouldn’t have changed anything about his relationship with the twins. Does that make sense? I hope so.

Anyway… I gave this book 3.5 stars🖤

This was definitely a DARK romance, I’m just gonna reiterate what all the other reviews say: READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS!!! (your mental health is more important than forcing yourself to read a particular book 🫶)

I really enjoyed this book and it was honestly pretty good trans rep (coming from a trans man). One problem I’ve noticed with cis authors writing trans MCs, is that they tend to feel at least a little fetishized but I honestly didn’t get that vibe from the book.

Another thing I was kinda iffy about when deciding whether to read this book- I was worried the brothers would have a weird relationship and was hard to tell from the synopsis. I would like to say I was very pleased that there was no incest-y things going on. Now that being said, obv the brothers’ relationship and their relationship with Oliver wasn’t healthy but that’s what we’re here for right?

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised that, despite this definitely being a dark romance with some heavy themes, the “HEA” was really sweet. You really feel for Oliver throughout the book and can’t help but kinda hate the twins for a bit but also like them until you get stockholmed just like Oliver. (in a positive way)

Well, I may not like the way that the relationship started in this book, but you can deny that they all love each other even if the twins’ idea of love is a little different. I love the way that Hayes and Hudson support Oliver. They may not fully understand everything that Oliver is feeling and what he needs, but the way that they are committed to learn and improve to make sure that he is happy means everything to me! I love that Oliver tries to fight what he is feeling for the twins too. I think deep down the whole time he knows that the twins complete him and that he loves them, but he tries to fight them because of the way that they try to go about loving and owning him and I absolutely love that Oliver doesn’t immediately give in to them! And my god the spicy scenes in this book were absolutely everything! I mean could things get any hotter!! I wish that there was a little bit more consent given from Oliver in the beginning but even still the scenes were written very well! I also love that we get to see more of the resolution of things with Oliver and Lane in this book because that seemed very rushed and superficial in the first book. So yet another book that i thoroughly enjoyed and I cannot wait to get to read Josh’s story next!

Okay I read the first one in this series and didn't love it, and then all of a sudden this book was everywhere on bookstagram so I just started reading and I didn't realize until like 25% in that it was the sequel. I liked this one a lot better, I feel like I should rate it 3 stars but I enjoyed it more than the other one and I'm probably going to end up reading the third one soooooo...

The only thing I really didn't like was it stressed me the FUCK out the entire book wondering WTF HAPPENED TO OLLIE'S SHOP. And I know we went back to Josh at the end because he's in the next book blah blah but it all felt very clunky. And I felt like there should have been more Lane and Ollie interaction later too. Apparently there was just a for sale sign on and Josh didn't call the police or anything. I'm just picturing the shop with a sign that literally just says "For Sale" and nothing else, no number, no real estate agent, nothing, and Josh walking up going um...okay that checks out! and leaving. Also I feel like it would have been nice to have more of Oliver's perspective when he was in captivity, it was like 90% from the twins' POV. WHATEVER I had a good time who cares.

Innocent, sweet Oliver is just going about his lonely life running his antique store when he catches the eye of twins Hudson and Hayes.

The Terror Twins are dangerous, dark, unhinged and ready to trap and break Ollie and turn his life upside down.

I really enjoyed this story. The Terror Twins really do adore Oliver and are devoted to him. Ollie does struggle with it all for a while before accepting that the twins really have made his life better, complete.

Hudson and Hayes have a cheeky quality about them which was very cute.

I thought the trans representation was so well done while being educational and touching on the struggles one may face.

Definitely give this book a read and while at it check out book 1, Under Your Care, in the interconnected standalone series Twisted Desires.

This book could have been so much more and it's really frustrating. It feels like the author did some thorough research on what it is like to be a trans man and the experience one goes through but then just spit it back out in two or three neat pages at the beginning of the book without doing anything with it afterwards. There were so many occasions to explore the transness of the protagonist in the story, especially in the dynamic with the twins and the things they do without asking and all the non and dub con aspects but… no.

The writing rhythm feels a bit slow and the wording is awkward at times though still readable, but you don't really feel the connection between the characters despite seeing the words telling you something's happening. I'm at ±75% but seriously considering DNFing because of this.

edit: finished it, same impression of a very surface level story where it could have gone so much deeper. quite disappointed.

We filled him from both sides, Hayes holding the leash taut as he hammered into his ass relentlessly. I was obsessed with the panicked look on his face as I throat-fucked him, cutting off his air supply completely. He had eventually passed out, only to wake up still being used.
I found this one a lot darker than the first. The twins enjoy killing and do it often and messily. Also, while they adore their little pet, they have looser morals when it comes to how they use him.

I don't like Oliver which is mostly why I rated this one lower. I'm still very angry with him over what he said to Lane in book 1. While I generally don't like MMM this one worked really well since all the romantic focus was on 1 person as the twins are not sexual together. There was no one left out or jealousy etc.

Steam factor was 🥵

“Our gift. Our treasure. Our little one, our pup, our pet, our precious, our baby, our slut. Our everything.”

Hayes and Hudson are just the sweetest psychopaths.

I enjoyed this one! The kidnapping/dubious consent works well in this story. I was interested to read a book with pet play, and while there is definitely some, I would call it pet play light. I definitely think this would be best enjoyed after reading the first in the series-just note it does follow the exact same timeline. It is not completely light and fluffy, but it is lighter than Under Your Care. I did have a bit of trouble telling the twins apart, and thought about that a few times throughout the book; however it didn’t take away much from the story for me. I did like the differentiation grey made toward the end of the book.

Can’t wait for Josh’s book!!!

Murder twinsssssssss!!!
I have loved Hudson & Hayes since we met them in book 1, and I couldn't wait to see what happened when they set their sights on sweet Ollie. It was actually much sweeter than I expected! I loved how confused they were about their own behaviour and how, like any good pet owners, they did thorough research into how to care for their new pet. They were adorably unhinged!
Both Ollie and the twins had a sad backstory, which we got a little of in this book, along with seeing the events of book 1 from a different POV. I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen with Josh.

Whenever I read a mindbreak book I always wonder whether the MC would have been happy just left in their original world. In this book Oliver was left to his thoughts enough for me to feel the difference between just existing and feeling alive. The brothers were psychopaths but in the words of Greyson their older brother "it doesn't make them evil. It just means they don't process emotion or empathy the same way" These days I wish many more people could understand that about the neurospicey inhabitants of our world! The book wove a good story, one I read in one day. I am glad Josh's story will be next. I don't want to leave this author's world quite yet.

A DELICIOUSLY DARK AND IRRESISTIBLE READ (please mind the triggers)!

We first meet the twins Hayes and Hudson and their obsession Oliver in book 1, Under Your Care. The twins are immediately attracted to Oliver from the start, but Oliver wants nothing to do with them. They then start their hot pursuit of Oliver. With certain events, they are able to get Oliver in their clutches. This story is one heck of a wild read, and I really was kept on my toes throughout it. It's definitely a page-turner, and just so wow!

4.5 stars. Not as good as book one but still really good and fucked up and extremely toxic. I wasn’t as attached to Oliver and Hudson and Hayes as I was Lane and Greyson, but that’s fine I did still like them. All three of them were definitely not good for each other but they somehow made it work. All of the kinks were fun, the smut was hot, and it was interesting seeing some of the events from book one from Oliver’s point of view.

Josh’s book is next and I’m so excited to see who gets paired with! I’m obsessed with this damn series!

I havent read any triggers/ kinks that have bothered me but something about the puppy play rubbed me the wrong way. But I really did love Oliver so I just pushed through it. He's this little fiesty guy that i loved since reading Under Youre Care. Something about the twins though did bother me also. But again, Oliver kept me going. I did like that they did take into consideration of Oliver's feelings after the fact and did try to be decent human beings with him. Also, I feel like this one just ended. Like I feel like I could have used more of these three. I'm still enjoying this series though!

Just finished and I have to say, it didn’t disappoint. I love Hayes and Hudson, and how they finally got Ollie. The way they adore him was easy to see, but I get how Ollie struggled with the emotions. These two boys were exactly what Ollie needed, even if he didn’t know it. And the heat/spice was HOT, HOT, HOT!!! 🥵🥵🥵 I really enjoyed this one, can’t wait for book three.

Yours to Break

Another interesting read, it’s different from the first book in that this one focused mainly on the relationship and not so much any outside interference. Definitely read the triggers as it does tend to flow heavily toward CNC and dub-con but it’s kind of expected with the men.
