Farmers are willing to trade with just about anyone, so long as they're nice and polite ...
The embargo has been called off, and ships from the three major systems are now free to travel once more to Phaethon. This may or may not affect Tom's business resupplying spent power packs with his star farm. More important than that, it means the planet is drawing closer to the day an election will be held to decide which system Phaethon aligns with. And with no embargo, everyone is seeing a wide variety of newcomers for the first time. Some of these visitors are encouraging people to align with the League. And some of them do not have the planet's best interests at heart...

The embargo has been lifted, and people are free to travel once more. Many individuals are eager to enter the travel industry, aspiring to be the best or perhaps the only ones, willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
Mr. Xu is trying diligently to stop Tom and others from taking advantage of the lifted embargo to help people make their trips safe. However, Tom is more cunning than Mr. Xu realizes; he understands the law better than Mr. Xu thinks.
I loved the plot of Embargo's End far more than I expected when I began reading. The more I read, the more I wanted to continue. After the first page, Embargo's End drew me into its world more and more with each turning page. I love Night Shadow and how she is always present, waiting to assist someone in need.
Embargo's End is a very engaging and captivating tale with many twists and turns that keep the pages turning, with never a dull moment in between. I enjoy the battles and bots and how they construct buildings, among other things. What an incredible world that combines elements of both a Western and a space saga simultaneously.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the Star Farmer series, Routine Diplomacy! I enjoyed reading Embargo’s End so much that I highly recommend it to all fans of Western stories and/or space tales. Grab a copy of Embargo's End today and join the action!
These novels are about a young farmer on a world mostly reverted to the technology of the Wild West. It is an interesting and entertaining series with technical innovation and politics intertwined with the characters. I will definitely read the next book in the series.
Hurray. The Embargo is ended. Everyone is excited, but will Phaethon join the League, the Republic, or the Alliance. My vote is the alliance. The modern products, services, and transportation, will the frontier planet modernize quickly or more moderately?
This is a fun series! I love the characters and the larger than Life storyline that is easy to follow and a great way to spend an afternoon. I can't wait for the next book.
The embargo of the planet Phaethon ends and the trouble begins. Tom is in the middle of it while still trying to run his businesses. The usual bad guys are always around. A great story.
Alternate universe, SF advanced technology, fantasy western, OP MC, space opera
Many snapshots as various protagonists react to the overland travel becoming available and the planetary embargo is lifted. Above average editing. Absorbing.
WOW what a ride. This episode in the series grabs you and pulls you through. I got to the end and wondered where the book had gone. Thank goodness there are a few more to read.
Competing interstellar empires fighting over the rulership of little lone Phaeton - why does this look like dogs scrapping over a bone? This cannot be a fun position for Phaeton to be in, but never fear, Tom and Gwen Savage are there, proving that cooperation and capitalism are stronger than socialism and oligarchy. Again, I am enjoying how the author demonstrates how the different sociological and political systems can affect a developing society without preaching or short-changing the action. I wonder what will happen when the scrapping star empires realize that the Savages are there? Things could be heating up real soon and I want to know what happens!
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Until now, our main characters enjoyed a relatively hands off business opportunity. But now things are changing. Capitalism, socialism, anarchism all are juggling for ownership of the planet.
Meanwhile, our MCs continue to spin off new businesses. But who will they back and who will they oppose? We will only learn those answers in future volumes...but slowly their secrets are getting out.
Tom and his gang are back for more fun times and this one while having a lot of moving parts delivered a great story. Finally the Embargo lifts but of course trouble occurs. And this is on top of the usual trouble that the locals are always causing that Tom and friends end up sucked into as always. But it had me laughing and sighing through most of it.
