The book Backyard Insects is about all different kinds of insects that could live in your backyard. It also tells a little bit about each insect that could be just out your back door.

The book Backyard Insects would be a great book to share with your students when you are studying insects in science. The form of the book is a description book with real photos of the insects. The photos in the book could be a little more colorful but do a great job showing what the insects look like in real life. This book would be a good book to read out loud to your class. If you had a small class you could have each student do on insect and have them do a like report on it. They could use the internet to find more information and draw their own picture of the insects.

This book is incredibly insightful for all ages. It teaches readers of everyday insects they encounter in their very own back yeard: "Hidden insects" that blend into their environment like months, to "Copycat insects" like the monarch and viceroy butterflies. Everyone will learn something!
