Cheese and rice.
I thought book two was a roller coaster but book three here said hold my drink.

The amount of twists and turns.
Just when you thought what could happen next?
Something would happen.
The mafia/mob aspect was an unexpected element.
We have been fed crumbs of Liam & Maddie from book one. And to see these two get their very hard earned HEA was worth it.
Little miss virgin gets her hulk.
It’s hard to write a review for these because you don’t want to give too much away.
But this was a fun sister/friend group.
And there were no dull moments.

I’m going to need 4-7 business days to process the heart palpitating conclusion to this wild trilogy.
Liam Evans and Maddie Corrigan embody a fiery love; everything from smoldering heat to the most tender, warmest of touches. They mirror each other’s spark and desire from beginning to end and have you on the edge of your seat the whole way there.
Liam’s self control should honestly be studied and hung up in the Lourve. This man is STRONG. Yet where he is firm, Maddie is all the more determined. Her boldness had me adoring her last book, but this time she shone. Her commitment to getting him to cave to their mutual desire was honestly endearing.
A MOB PLOTLINE???? I did NOT see that coming. All the different factors and family members and moments of suspense tied together for a wild yet seamless story.
AND THE SPICE, Liam my guyyyyyyy. Thank you for your service. MVP right here.

5 star read that left me emotionally wrecked but it was worth it. The plot twists? Perfection!
I just know Maddie would have dragged Liam to the altar kicking and fighting for his life😂 She’s a vibe funny as hell, confident.. she knows what she wants.
And listen,,, never in my years of reading did I ever think I'd fall and read about an MC with gambling addiction but here I am, i was hooked and obsessed😂. God the consequences? They don't just hit him.. they hit the FMC and even me as a reader. My heart dropped so hard screaming "No Don't do it" at Liam! But that's Liam for you: he's unpredictable and adorable.
And there's a major plot twist that will have your jaws on the floor and tears running down. I was literally yelling "Fvcking no way!!! WTF!! Fvck no this ain't happening!! NO WAAAAYYYY Fvck, I have no strength for this!" I was weak to my knees! I felt my heart dropping.

5 Star Review Between Secrets and Obsession (Between Us Trilogy #3) by Brooke Fox
This is Liam Evans & Maddie Corrigan’s story and what a story it was. It was well written and entertaining. With characters who you cannot help but fall for. This trilogy needs to be read in order so you need to read book one, Between Hate and Desire and two Between Regrets and Promises first.
The suspense element added an additional layer to the story. This was a roller coaster of a read that drew me in and held me captive.
Their chemistry was intense and the angst added to the story as their relationship evolved. When danger rears its head, Liam will do whatever it takes to keep Maddie safe.

Wow, this story will keep you guessing! Liam is doing his best to stay away from his attraction to Maddie, but she certainly doesn't want it to be easy. Their attraction is always right nearby. The drama, action in this story and adding in his hobby/ addiction of gambling is full on getting in the way. The events that happen are dangerous, conniving and dealing with the devil herself, named Victoria. Can these two and their friends and families come out unscathed? Awesome story, definitely a must read.

The third and final part of this series has now been completed and what a great end this is. Three books, three best friends, three sisters so you can guess where this is going! This is Liam and Maddie's story. Its one full of whats if's and the over powering need to protect each other.
The storyline to this has many layers. The main focus is on Liam and Maddie's relationship and how he is holding her at arms length fighting feelings he has harboured for years but never wanted to act on for fear of everything falling apart. Maddie is a burst of bubbly air. She knows what she wants and loves to succeed in getting it. After being giving the opportunity to move in with older sister Sophie, Mason and Liam she makes it her mission to finish off what she started years ago.
Liam is content being on his own but there was always something about Maddie he couldn't say no to and after a chance meeting in Vegas his life will never be the same again.
With mafia vibes this book is different to the rest. Liam is forced into a marriage by Victoria, a mafia princess, after she saves his life when her brother looses money betting on Liam in the casino's. When Maddie is threatened Liam will do anything to protect her.
This book has so much going on from gambling to kidnappings to threats to revenge plots you would've thought it would be hard to keep up but the way this is written it runs seemlessly through.
Liam and Maddie's chemistry is hot from the offset. I love the way she teases Liam and when he finally gives in, their relationship hits a new level. Although long this book kept me engrossed from start to finish and is a tribute to the end of the triology.

Liam and Maddie are definitely one of my favorite couples!! He would always remember when they first met, but he never thought he would see her again. What were the chances that Maddie turned out to be the kid sister of Lennon and Sophie, who were his best friends' wife and girlfriend? We have watched them flirt with each other and ignore their feelings, which only made their love story even more special. They both had reasons to take things slow, but their chemistry had been explosive since the beginning and it only got hotter. I loved their journey and even though it was filled with uncertainty, their love withstood it and kept me hoping for a happy ending.
What is true love? Listening to each other, undeniable chemistry and asking for forgiveness. Liam and Maddie were drawn to each other from the moment they met and she became his world and he wanted to be with her forever. They found true love and it only got stronger as the years went by. Their coming together as one took time, but it was inevitable and filled with passion and excitement for the future. Maddie would always love Liam even when he was thrust into a dangerous world of lies and deceit. The deeper he fell into their clutches, the less confident Maddie felt about their future. She waited so long to be with him, spent so many nights dreaming of him, and not having him by her side would be unbearable. Can she find the strength to stand by her man while he worked to rid himself of the danger that surrounded him?

I’ve been waiting for Liam and Maddie’s book and it did not disappoint! I have loved their banter throughout this series and knowing they were finally going to get their chance was exciting. However, this one is probably the most intense of the 3 books in the series. And just when you thought that maybe it was going to calm down, something else would happen. This entire series has been a great read. And I honestly cannot wait for Tyler’s book. I was hoping he would get a book of his own.

The banter. The tension. The suspense. WOW.
I knew Liam and Maddie’s story was going to crush, but I didn’t realize it would crush my soul in the best way possible. The cliffhanger at the end of book two had me thinking Liam had secrets, but I did NOT expect them to be what they actually were. The MOB?? 🤯
Maddie is a strong-willed woman who only has eyes for Liam, which she doesn’t even try to hide. Liam tries so hard to ignore her not-so-subtle flirting to protect his own heart and keep their past hidden from their friends, but in true Maddie fashion, she slowly wears him down.
Liam uses poker as an escape from his grueling bounty hunter job. He finds himself mixed up with the wrong people, and has debt to pay. He just didn’t expect it to unfold the way it did, and he could end up hurting, or losing, the people he loves most if he doesn’t comply.
I can’t even begin to explain my emotions reading this book. It was almost like I was on a rollercoaster blindfolded, the thrill of not knowing what was going to happen next had my heart pounding.
The slow burn of their relationship, amid all of the wild plot twists, was captivating. I’m obsessed with their love for each other and all the ways they showed it, even before they said it. Also, a moment for the spice because DAYUMN. Liam, sir, no words.
This book was 100000% worth the wait, and the perfect ending to an amazing trilogy!

I loved this book so much. It was funny how Maddie kept pursuing Liam all the time and he kept trying to push her away.
Liam should've known better than to trust JJ.
I felt so bad for Maddie but there were reasons Liam did what he did. I hated Victoria and everything she did to Liam.
Tyler was awesome with everything he did to help Liam.
This book was a roller coaster of events and was so good. I love everything about it. It does have me curious about Tyler now though.

I felt so bad for Maddie but there were reasons Liam did what he did. I hated Victoria and everything she did to Liam.
Tyler was awesome with everything he did to help Liam.
This book was a roller coaster of events and was so good. I love everything about it. It does have me curious about Tyler now though.

I knew I was going to love these two, but the emotional rollercoaster I just got off of was too much for my heart 😭 this story made me laugh out loud, want to throw my kindle, giggle like a school girl, swoon, and bawl my eyes out.
If you love romantic suspense books, this trilogy is MADE for you. I’m so sad it’s over, but excited to see what’s next 😍

This was packed full of emotions and they were a rollercoaster. I was mad, sad, literally panicking and cheesing.
Now this book was LONGGGG. and being sick made it 10x longer to finish but it was so good😭 I wasnt even expecting half of it coming and I absolutely love that!
The connection these two have is so undeniably beautiful. It started off forbidden and kept staying forbidden and the tension?! MUAH😚🤌
The banter and picking on eachother made me giggle so much. I loved that she knew she wanted him and saved herself for him for years. I love a yearning and loved she mainly did the yearning 🥹
And the way he tried so hard to stay away even being brought into such a dark world?!😭 I was literally so shocked at how his life flipped upside-down SO FAST. Just when you think everything is going okay, something happens and then I'm ✨️stressed✨️ again🤣
And Tyler!!!!!! What a angel of a man. I loved how he was brought in and was such a powerhouse for the both of them. He was such a rock to them both and I'm so obsessed with him 😭

I absolutely devoured this one!! I’ve been waiting for Liam & Maddie’s story, and I’m obsessed with them!! It’s no secret Maddie’s had a thing for Liam since they met, and I was living for her pushing Liam’s buttons! Her feelings weren’t exactly unrequited though. Liam wouldn’t go there no matter how close he got to crossing that line, but he hasn’t stopped thinking about her in the years since they first met either. Just when it seems like these two might become something, Liam’s mistakes come back to haunt him, and holy plot twists!!! I’m pretty sure my jaw was on the ground more often than not, there were so many twists I didn’t see coming! I was on the edge of my seat, and didn’t want to put the book down! Maddie wants nothing but Liam, Liam wants nothing to protect Maddie, and oof. These two bring all the feels–they’re sweet and spicy and had me cackling with some of their banter. Their story was a roller coaster, and it hurt, and I loved every second! I cannot wait for what’s next!!!

I have been waiting for Maddie’s and Liam’s story since book one and it definitely didn’t disappoint at all.
Maddie and Liam meet at a college party Years prior and hit it off, expect maddie was underage, once Liam found that out he kicked her out and that was that, but they both still remembered one another.
Cut to a year later they met again her sisters are dating his friends, they have no choice but to be around each other, maddie wants more but Liam friends zones her, until she finally wears him down.
I absolutely love maddie’s character she is so fun and outgoing, she says what she is thinking and makes no apologies for it!
I liked Liam, even when I wanted to scream at his character sometimes, but I loved how he was trying to protect everyone he cared for so fiercely.
Okay onto the story itself, I really enjoyed. It had a strong storyline for sure, it had friendship, romance, betrayal.
This one had more of an intense plot, involving the mafia which was interesting and compelling. It was written perfectly and it kept you interested.
All around a very enjoyable read and great ending to the series.

Dramatic and intense.
This was a riveting and exciting read, full of angst, frustration, fear, drama and intrigue, but also sass, sweetness and intense chemistry. Having read the earlier books in this series, I was excited to finally get Maddie and Liam's story and it was a ripper. There were so many ups and downs, mixed messages and mistakes, that I was constantly on the edge of my seat, but had to keep reading in the hope that everything would work out. This story was originally published as a duet, and now re-released as a single book it is a long but thoroughly engaging read. I really enjoyed seeing more of the Corrigan sisters' lives, but even more so, getting to know Tyler. I now can't wait for Tyler's story to be re-released and think reading his journey to a happy ending will retrospectively help me enjoy Maddie and Liam's HEA even more.

I knew Maddie & Liam were going to absolutely break me, yet I still jumped in feet first and barely held on until the end. My goodness. My heart still has not recovered. Their story was everything I built it up in my head to be and so much more. All the glimpses we got of them in books 1 and 2 had me anticipating their story, but it took so many twist and turns that I was shocked at every one. Literally on the edge of my seat. Brooke delivered everything with this trilogy and ended it with the emotional rollercoasters of all emotional rollercoasters. Talk about a hard fought HEA with all the hurt, angst, yearning, emotions, secrets, betrayal, just everything thrown in the mix, to keep Maddie and Liam apart. Alas, their love conquered all the barriers thrown in their way, self imposed and from the outside. I can't recommend this trilogy enough! Be prepared to be absolutely wrecked before you're put back together, and plan to be on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.

I was so dang mad at the end of Sophie and Mason's book when we met Victoria. I was so prepared to hate Liam and honestly I kind of did hate him a little bit but then his love for Maddie trumped it all.
Their story was emotional as heck and I loved the suspense subplot. It added a lot of excitement to the book. Liam put Maddie through the wringer but she is so dang strong and I loved how they overcame and came together. also that epilogue? BRB BAWLING. 😭

Well this book surely took some turns I didn’t see coming. I have been needing Maddie and Liam’s story since the first book in this series, but it definitely did not turn out as I expected. This is one of the reasons it was so good. Of course you could tell it was going to be angsty based on the build up in the other books of the series, but this angst was just on a different level. It was the perfect balance of banter, tension, and suspense that we have come to expect from this author, and though I am sad to see it end, I loved the hints of what is to come in Tyler’s story. Hopefully we will get to see appearances from all of our favorites from this unforgettable series in the future.

This series/storyline was previously released under a different pen name. I read the first 2 titles by the other pen name previously and have been patiently awaiting this book’s arrival for a while and let’s just say I was not disappointed by Maddie and Liam’s story! I am a huge fan of Brooke’s writing as I have read several of her books over the years and enjoyed them all. I do enjoy the thrill/mystery aspect of this series that isn’t found as much in the Sugarland Creek, the Willow Branch Mountain, and the Maplewood Falls books. This is a roommates to lovers story with so much more added in. I was very excited to learn that there will be another book that delves into a supporting character and his love story.

Wow!! This story packed a punch with so many twists and turns. I have loved Liam & Maddie during this whole series but knew there was more to their story. These two were made for each other and i loved how Maddie never gave up on him, Liam didn't have it easy and definitely made some questionable decisions but surrounded by his friends and found family these two get there HEA. This story just kept you guessing what would happen next and kept you on the edge at times. We get some new characters in this one and i am just in love with Tyler he was everything you need in a friend. This was the perfect end to this series and i just loved it.

This book was horribly written compared to the first two books. I’ve had the release date saved on my calendar for months and it really was a disappointment. Idk what to call it & I’m no English/writing pro but I can’t stand when authors plainly write out every single thing that is happening. For example: “First I woke up and made a cup of coffee. Then I ate my bagel. Then I got dressed for the day”. These aren’t direction quotes from the book but an example of how this book was written. It feels dumbed down and it’s not enjoyable to read. I don’t remember the first two books being written this way.

This slow burn was so angsty but so so good. Ugh my heart is a wreck. This series as a whole has wrecked me in the best of ways.
Between Secrets and Obsession was an incredible finale for this series. Liam and Maddie made me laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. I lost sleep over this one.
Definitely recommend this book (and the trilogy as a whole!) Must be read in order!

Romance & Plot 💘
The third book in this series delivered! Lots of crazy shit just when you think it’s over. I like the dynamic between the sisters and their men. Liam and Maddie were a good balance for each other. I hate that everyone treated Maddie as if she was a kid when she was 21.
Tyler was a fantastic supporting character. I will definitely be reading his book when it comes out.
The biggest issue of this book was the length. It is soooooo long. I found myself skimming towards the end.

The drama in this book was straight fire! This book was everything.
Between Secrets and Obsession is a friends to lovers, roommates, angsty slow burn that is such a great read. Maddie and Liam were such great characters that I really loved. The chemistry was off the charts. When this book is described as angsty, that is for sure an accurate description. The emotions were powerful and I was just overcome with so much at once. This really was a great read in my opinion.
I definitely will be reading more from Brooke Fox. There is definitely no doubt about that. I definitely recommend this read for other.

Maddie has had feelings for Liam for years and he ignores her the whole time. When really all he wants is her. Liam gets himself in a gambling bind with the mafia and ends up marrying the mafia princess. Man this book was so good!
I love the back and forth tension between Maddie and Liam. I absolutely love Maddie’s persistence in breaking Liam down. Oh and of course there are twists, turns and surprises in this book that were mind blowing!

I absolutely adored this series. The Corrigan sisters love hard and these men fight it every which way they can...until they don't!
There were times in this book that I wanted to shake Liam but loved Maddie's determination. My heart broke for her on a number of occasions.
Can't wait to read Tyler's book...and, hopefully, see Victoria get her just desserts!

Wow, this book had me holding my breath and flipping through the pages so fast! I was so invested in the story, especially after the way book 2 ended!
These characters, Liam and Maddie, went through so much. It was so satisfying to see them get the ending they deserved....and being along for the ride!
I will be thinking about this story for a long time. Absolutely brilliant!
