Another winner from Tom Delonge and AJ Hartley.
Firstly its a great sci-fi thriller. The writing is exactly what you would expect from AJ Hartley, immersive and engaging with a great plot. Woven around the Sinister Forces trilogy by Peter Levenda we follow Bowie as he travels through time uncovering a plot to manipulate the past..
Upon completing I couldn't help but draw a couple of comparisons.
The Design.. Sounds similar to the proposed creation of 'freedom' cities outside of democratic regulation. A place for the super-rich and selected class.
Conflagration War.. Starting with a cold war against a countries own people. Sparking unrest and potential armed conflict. The result.. martial law and the suspension of elections. The end of democracy as we know it and the start of something perhaps far more dystopian..
Plenty to think about in here and a good solid page turner. I'd definitely recommend and suspect this won't be the last time we see Bowie and The Design.

A very Tom DeLonge book. I would say my interest didn't really kick in until about page 200 or so. The beginning dragged a bit. I found the ending abrupt and overall the book was kind of a JJ Abrams-style mystery box that never really pays off. But people reading this are gonna be Tom fans mostly I suspect and it's a fun book to check out for that. I personally enjoyed the Sekret Machine/ AJ Hartley books much more but if they did a 2nd Time Rider book I'd read it. 3 stars for story 4 stars for Tommy UFO the truth is somewhere in the middle.

This book is soooo good. Really fun. The story wrapped up a bit too quick for me in the last few pages - but just my opinion. The pages flew by ! Highly recommend
