I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day.
I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them.
Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.
Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.
Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.
What I loved: I loved how Gabby(h) finally got her HEA. King(H) was definitely the right man for her. I’m also happy that Skull finally got his head out of his ass.
What I didn’t like: I would have like to have read Dom acknowledging his part in why Gabby behaved like she did and him to apologize to Gabby. He really became my least favorite brother. Also, I wanted to read how Mony was kicked out of the club.
***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: MC. This is Gabby and King’s story. In the previous book you know that Gabby was kidnapped and raped. In this book she has been doing everything she can make herself a better person. She moved away from her parents and is trying to do things on her own. King is still trying to find a place to fit in. As soon as he spots Gabby, he knows that he needs to help her. King and Gabby have such a strong connection and it just builds even stronger in this book. With them both finally giving in to their feelings they find themselves going against family members who don’t want them together. In the end all is good and we finally see Gabby get the HEA that she deserves with a man who is all about her.
Final thoughts: I can’t wait to read BB’s story next.

Short review. Love that King finally get his happily ever after. Gabby got a redemption but wished we could of gotten a bit more. For the next book why am I noticing that Jordan Marie like writing books about certain couples and then breaking them up later on. Now idk whether to believe if those book couples HEA are real.
Broken is the first book in the Devil Blaze’s MC, second generation and follows two characters who on paper don’t match, but in reality due to their circumstances and pasts which literally broke them both, they are absolutely 100% perfect for each other❣️
King knew he was Dragon’s son and has planned for years ways in which to get vengeance upon him. But finding out the truth and also getting a divorce, has changed the way in which he thinks. When he sees Gabby after they rescue her from the Feral Kings, their broken pieces match…but it will take a bit before they start to heal and glue those pieces back together, with the help of the other❤️🩹
Can’t wait for more in this series…and I will say I never thought I’d say this, but I actually like Gabby now and I love her and King together☺️ I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
So, I was very torn reading this book. Everyone loves a good redemption book, right? I still hate Gabby. And I dont like that she is with King after what she pulled with his brothers. I can hold a mean grudge.
Buuut....this book is so well written. Jordan did an amazing job with this very complicated story line. The grief and the mental health issues are very realistically done. I probably won't reread it, but not because it's not a great book, but because I can't get past my Gabby snit.
Broken - Book 1 - Devil's Blaze MC - Second Generation - Jordan Marie
This is the first book in a brand new series about the second generation of The Devil's Blaze MC by the fabulous Jordan Marie and it is everything I wanted and more! It focuses on King who we have met in previous books and is one of my favourite characters ever that she has created after Dragon of course, and King's relationship with Gabby whom we have also met before. Gabby Cruz was a wholeheartedly despicable character that I had no love for at all but I trusted Jordan as I always do and went into this story with an open mind and wow am I glad that I did! Where do I begin?! Firstly the cover, it is gorgeous! The playlist is perfect for these two entwined and fated souls. Readers need to note that the story does contain triggers including talking about sexual assault that some readers may find destressing. This story was needed so much and was everything you could hope for and more. It gave so much depth and insight into Gabby and her mindset when she behaved the way she did previously. Also that of King and how he became the man he is at the point of their story and how together these two broken parts became one whole complete piece. Gabby to escape her past reputation and the disappointment of her family's watchful eye moves to Tenessee with the help of the beautiful Nicole and amazing man that is Dragon, the man, the myth and the legend all in one delicious fictional character. She finds support through them along with Dani and Crusher. With Diesel making an appearance too. Gabby has a lot of things to work through from her past, her current situation along with her hopes for the future. She didn't think she would find happiness and she didn't think that she would reconnect with her friend King who in such a short time came to mean so much to her. Her journey is beautiful. It is filled with emotion, an inner strength she didn't know she possessed and quite frankly neither did we. She has redeemed herself in my eyes and that is a statement I never thought I would make regarding Gabriella. Her relationship with King is a thing of pure beauty. He is a hard man who has been through so much but the level of care and tenderness, pure love and devotion he shows towards Gabby is absolutely everything. Their connection together is amazing and was the perfect reward for all the heartache that they have both endured. This story was written and told so beautifully. It was the perfect combination of heart, happiness and heat. I loved seeing more of Dragon and his blossoming relationship with King that was perfect also. Skull surprised me but it was good to read more of him too. I am also intrigued by Iris and Lottie's club and what the originals will make of it all. Overall, this was an outstanding story with amazing characters, high heat, lines to make you smile and cry. In short it was everything. I will definitely read this book again and again and recommend it without hesitation as I do everything Jordan writes. You do not need to of read other books by this author to appreciate the characters mentioned but I definitely suggest that you do. If only to have Dragon make you swoon. Jordan has a way of writing characters that invoke true feelings, for the individual characters and the storylines that stay with you long after you have finished reading the story. I can't get enough and hope that you feel the same. Happy Reading. Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given. 5 out of 5 stars.
BROKEN is book1 in the Devil’s Blaze Next Gen but it centres around 2 very well know characters. Gabby is finally being given her voice, showing us how she has changed, and what has happened to her from the horrific events of the past.
King is still trying to find his footing – moving clubs hasn’t helped and now he is paying a visit to the Savage Brother’s Tennessee chapter to lend an hand and spend sometime with Dragon – he is not expecting to find Gabby there.
Together after all this time King is not expecting what condition he finds her in. What follows is a story of two friends opening up to one another (he falls first hard), bearing their pain, wearing their hearts on their sleeves and slowly learning to trust one another.
Gabby’s story was not a good one – we all know about her relationship with Dom West’s, her secret affair with Thomas – how she led him along the garden path to make Dom jealous but what I found out in this story made me so angry and very disappointed in this character. Although they were all young, sometimes that is when the most damage is done.
Watching these two, Gabby and King and how they interacted, Gabby’s resistance, King caring nature and there blooming relationship was just lovely and I really felt for Gabby I really did – if their was anyone who deserved a good man it was Gabby.
What a beginning to the Devil's Blaze Second Generation!!!!
So, let's start with Gabby. Pretty much all of Jordan Marie's readers would agree that Gabby was a flaming #$@%* before this book. I would be included in that number. I really didn't think she could do anything to redeem herself. I couldn't have been more wrong and I'm so happy to be able to say that this author has once again written a fantastic book.
Once everything Gabby has been through, in it's entirety, has been disclosed, the reader begins to understand that maybe there is a little bit of grace to be given. Maybe, if others had done things a little differently, Gabby might not have gone so far off the deep end. And I think that King giving her that grace (as well as a couple other things happening) really helped Gabby begin to heal.
King was a broken soul learning to exist in his brokenness. Rescuing Gabby and helping her begin her healing process shakes something loose in him and they become friends. Something he never expected after the betrayal he's endured.
That is pretty much all I'm going to say, except that Jordan Marie has, in this reader's mind, written another MUST READ story that all her fans should love!!!
I am completely blown away!! Jordan Marie exceeded every expectation I had for this story. King and Gabby are amazing together just like I knew they would be.
Gabby has made unbelievable mistakes, but has suffered terrible trauma as well. She is pregnant and doing everything she can to make amends to all she wronged. She is working very hard to build a life for her baby. I believe she deserves forgiveness.
King was there for her when she hit bottom, they connected and a bond was formed that can’t be broken.
King decides he is going to be in Gabby and her little jellybeans life. They start as friends, but their love is undeniable. I wanted to believe they would be perfect for each other. I fell in love with this couple, King is incredible and his love for her is beautiful.
I just have to say that I love Dragon and will always love him. He stood by King and Gabby and knocked some sense literally back into Skull. The family reunion was awesome.
There love story is amazing and so beautiful. They finally have family and a life they always dreamt about.
I’m really in love with King and Gabby’s story. They both deserved their happily ever after. You get a look behind why Gabby did what she did. We all hated her in the books before. We believed she got what she deserved. But I really wanted to nut punch Dom after hearing what went down. It made him a little less in my eyes. You see her grow and become a better person. Now King he’s amazing and so compassionate, caring, loving. He’s just like Dragon even though he wasn’t raised by him. But I think it’s cause they both had to dig themselves out of the gutter. The more rough around the edges. But I absolutely adored the way he treated Gabby even before he realized she was his. This is the kind of love we all strive for in our lives. It’s a definite must read. Every time a book is over from this world. It makes me a little sad and I can’t wait jump back in and see all my favorite people again. Looking forward to the next book to see how BB digs himself out of this hole and to see how much he’ll Beau gives him. Can’t wait to see how King and Gabby’s are doing. And how the club starts to take shape. I received an advanced readers copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
This is the first book in the Devils Blaze MC second generation. This is King and Gabby's, I'm gonna say second chance, love story. King had a shit childhood, thanks to his mother. He thought his dad didn't want him, boy, was that wrong. Gabby, wow, what can I say about her. I absolutely hated her in all the previous books she was in, until maybe the last two. She really grew up and blew me away with her trying to make things right from her past. It was heartbreaking to see everything she went and goes through. She's so much stronger than she knows until King opens her eyes to it. The love King has for Gabby is absolutely beautiful. He gives her strength when she needs it and always tenderness to show her she is worthy. There are a few people that need to be bitched slapped and I'm sure they get just that. You'll understand that when you read this book. I never thought I'd be rooting for Gabby, but damn she really deserves her happiness, and so does King. They are really good together. I hope we get to see more of them in future books. Well done, Jordan Marie. You blew this one out of the park.
Broken was a fantastic start to the second generation of Devils Blaze MC. I'm so excited for whats instore for the club and to get more of these badass Bikers.
King was everything I hoped he be and so much more too. One of my favourite things about him was the Dragon vibe he gave off, it put a huge smile on my face, there is no doubt who his dad is, talk about a chip off the old block.
Now Gabby what can I say, the girl has been like marmite in previous books, you either loved her or hated her. I was intrigued to see her character development after everything she'd been through. Her journey was heart breaking and believable, it showed just how strong Gabby really is. It was easy to admire the young woman she turned out to be.
King and Gabby are both broken in their own ways but they heal each other. Their story was a beautiful thought provoking emotional ride, full of highs and lows, love, laughter and second chances. ❤️
This is the first book in this second-generation series, and this is King and Gabby’s story. Gabby is alone and broken, while trying to redeem herself, and she is not afraid to own up to her mistakes, while King is protective, and they both feel unworthy of being loved. Both characters are broken, but an unexpected bond develops between them. This is a well written easy to read story, with found family, friendships, emotions, challenges, redemption, secrets, twists and turns, friends / lovers, second chances, an age gap, loyalty, humor, witty banter, acceptance, healing, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, heartfelt, and unpredictable, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Broken is book 1 in the new Devil's Blaze MC - Second Generation series written by the amazing author Jordan Marie. Tropes: Older man younger woman Broken heroine Second Chance Cinnamon Roll/Possessive Alpha Hero Hard Fought Happy Ever After
This is Gabriella Cruz and King West deep and emotional second chance story. I was so looking forward for this book and the author didn't disappoint. WOW! Gabby's story intrigued me, Jordan did an outstanding job writing this book and giving her the opportunity of redeem herself. The story line was written with such determination, richly detailed, gut wrenching truth, gritty, grief, secrets, great characters, heartbreak, lot of patience, bit of humor, hope, lots of emotion, found family, hot steamy scenes plus so much more. I very highly recommend it!!! I can’t wait until the next book! This is a must read!
Jordan Marie had written one of the best books I read this year. This is the 2nd book in Devil’s Blaze MC series. This book broken my heart bc it about 2 people who were broken. Gabby has been featured in the Savage Brothers MC series. Gabby was kidnapped and rape from another MC and she is pregnant from it. She was broken and is trying to change her life for the better. King is a biker from another MC and is the son of Dragon from Savage Brothers MC. King hated his father but is trying to have a relationship with him. King is broken also from a woman he married that cheated on him. King and Gabby meet at a mc that is helping her. King see how broken Gabby is and decides maybe these two can help it other. I say this book is a love story that will make you happy that what happens with these two people.
WOW! What an absolutely amazing read! I was so excited about seeing how King and Gabby’s story would play out and it definitely did not disappoint! Gabby really grew up so much and I was so happy that she could admit her mistakes and want to be a better person. King was so protective and gentle! These two have been through so much and they both deserved to find their “everything “. Such a beautiful read that just brought out so many emotions! The toenail part was hilarious! It was just the sweetest thing to watch King make Gabby feel so safe and special! I couldn’t put this book down until I was finished! I can’t express how fantastic this story was! I very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
I have to say I was apprehensive about a story for Gabby. She was so evil that I didn't think she could be redeemed. King started to be likable and he was growing closer to Dragon, so to see him with Gabby I wasn't looking forward to reading it. Boy was I wrong, these two couldn't be more perfect for each other. Gabby really wants to make amends for all the wrong she did. She truly believes she doesn't deserve King. Once they finally give a relationship a try you can't help but fall in love with them. I love the new Gabby, and King is so good at being protective and patient. He gives Gabby all she needs to feel confident and comfortable to let King show her how to really love. This book was so good I actually felt the changes to these characters and started to root for them.
I just didn’t like Gabby from all the past books. And I just couldn’t get over that I guess. I tried to read it but I just didn’t like her. Still don’t. So I skimmed thru most of it. I was sad from the beginning to end because why King?!!! Ugh. I was hoping for so much better for him. An awesome fmc after what he sent thru. But it’s like I don’t know like he settled for Gabby. I also didn’t like that now it was put on Dom. Was he innocent? NO! He played a part but come on did we just forget all Gabby did?! All the hurt she caused for multiple people. This is my least favorite book and least favorite fmc. King deserved better. I said it!!
Enjoyed the book immensely but just a warning that to really know what’s going on you need to have read some of Jordan Marie’s other books before reading this one.
Great to see both Gabby & King get their happy ever after. Both characters have grown and matured in this book. My heart bleeds for what Gabby has experienced in the other books so I was happy to see how she overcame her circumstances. In this book King proved what a good man he really is. Must say Gabby was far more understanding of her father than a lot of people would be. Will be reading the next book in the series
This might be my favorite new book from Jordan, but then again I feel like that after every new book. I had my doubts about Gabby early on, but Jordan worked her magic as usual and made me fall in love with her. I was rooting for her and King for a while and holding out that they'd make things work. This book had me laughing, crying, cringing and kicking my feet. Sometimes all in the same chapter! I couldn't get enough of King and Gabby's sweetness and love they had for each other and jellybean. I also adored seeing some OG characters, even when a certain one was being a total ass. If you haven't started reading her work, please do. I promise you won't regret it!

In this Devil’s Blaze 2nd Generation book, Gabby and King get to tell their stories. In other books, we have read about each character and learned more about them. So, the wait is finally over!
This is a terrific second-chance-at-love story. It’s almost a hopeless dream for them but King is patient and has the advantage of being that little bit older, too. I truly like this Gabby, a Gabby who wants only the best for her baby without any issues.
The great humour sprinkled throughout the book had me laughing out loud at times. At other times, I was tearing up feeling so devastated for Gabby.
Be prepared for an emotional ride but also a great one too.
Strong way to start a new series, I couldn't put the story down, the plot is intense, many emotions and strong characters. Gabby and King were fierce, neither of their path has been easy, many ups and downs and twists. These two were good for each other, their journey was bumpy but they would good for each other, strong connection and chemistry, well matched, perfect together. This is a great story. I'd recommend reading it, I'm looking forward to more of this series. Jordan Marie did a fantastic job on this story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you, Jordan Marie, Wonderful work ❤️
King and Gabby were an unlikely pair. And yet, underneath it all, so very much alike. Both were broken, deep inside. Neither felt worthy. Both accepted their fate, their consequence, their reality.
However, something seemed to click. A connection and bond unexpected. And King felt a rumble of hope. Could they make a run for whatever this was? Could they take a chance?
Jordan Marie delivered. She showed us what second chances could do. Well worth the wait.
Broken I was after I read this book and after I was broken I was put back together at the same time. Gabby’s journey was a sad, funny, heartbroken and happy one. All the things that she went through and she was victorious at the end, and got her happily after . And King I have no words for that man, there is a reason why he is one of my favorite characters. And he does act like his dad is so many ways. Glad he got his family and found his true love. Thank you Jordan for this amazing start to this new series can’t wait for BB’s book.
I loved this book! Gabby is the character I have loved to hate. She's just kind of been a mess and quite a PIA in several books. I don't want to give anything away but let's just say, redemption is possible. Jordan Marie writes one heck of a story.
King is an alpha male through and through. His protective instincts run deep and I love that in a character. I'm so happy he got his book because it was amazing!!
You don't necessarily have to read other books, but I highly recommend reading the Savage Brother's MC series first. It just gives you a lot of back story on the characters, plus the books are awesome.
This is the first book in this second generation series and this is King and Gabby’s story. It will completely draw you in from the beginning to end with its twists and turns. I loved the characters, the banter and the off the charts chemistry. I enjoyed the journey of these two broken souls that help each other grow, allow themselves for second chances and to learn to love. It’s a well written story full of emotions , found family and second chances. I absolutely loved it! Looking forward to reading more.
5 stars Oh my gosh, this book was everything! I had forgotten how much I love Jordan's writing, and "Broken" captures everything I adore about MC books. Gabby and King's story is a heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster. My heart ached for Gabby, but I’m so happy she found her happily ever after. King embodies everything I love in an alpha male—he is strong and possessive, yet gentle with her. I also felt for Skull and Beth; their story was incredibly moving. This book feels so real. Overall, it's an amazing read!
Broken, book one in the Devil’s Blaze Second Generation series, is King and Gabby’s story of second chances, loyalty, and love that refuses to quit. After a painful past and a shocking reunion—complete with Gabby’s pregnancy—their bond only grows stronger. Even with warnings to stay away, King stands firm, proving his devotion and care for her every step of the way. The difference in their ages only added another layer of intensity to their relationship. Add in the emotional struggles and cameos from past MC favorites, and this becomes a gritty yet heartfelt read I’d definitely recommend.
Best book I’ve read this year! Jordan Marie knows how to write a story that takes you from one extreme to another. Gabby and King’s characters were introduced in previous stories. They both have come a long way. I started out hating Gabby then feeling such sadness and compassion for to falling in love with her in this one! They complete each other. I highly recommend this book, it just hits all the feels!!!
This book was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be!! I went into this PRAYING that I would come out of it liking Gabby after everything she did…. And I did! I love Gabby and King together! And Gabby’s redemption was beautiful and believable! King was so solid in his belief that Gabby was deserving of everything good in life despite her mistakes! I can’t wait for the next book! I also LOVE how much we got to see all characters I love… Dragon, Nicole… Skull and Beth!!! I highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
FANTASTIC!!! I hated Gabby we all did. This book showed me the real Gabby and why she was the bi+@h she was. My heart broke for her! King! seriously like Gabby I asked over and over "Are you real" Their story was everything, all the feels!! One aggravating thing is now I want to start at the beginning and reread their father's series. Dammit Jordan Marie I don't have time for that! But I will make some
