Mya More's "All Her Broken Pieces" is an age-gap, hurt x comfort, forced proximity romance that definitely has its moments. I listened to this very, very quickly. I loved the audiobook narrators, Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor, who are two of my favorites. I will listen to *anything* they narrate. They play so well off of one another, expertly and efficiently. The age gap here is 38 (FMC Bridget) and 22 (MMC Ethan), so some people won't like that off the bat, but I didn't have a problem with it. Their one-night stand turns into much more when the super independent Bridget doesn't want to bother her friends and family for help after a surgery she needs to have. Instead, Ethan basically begs her for another shot to spend time with her, even after her procedure, which will mean spending several weeks taking care of her. I think a lot of readers will be turned off by just how much of a black cat Bridget is. Some of the time, I found her "quick to jump to conclusions" attitude to be a bit much, but trauma manifests itself in strange ways, so I came to understand her and give her the benefit of the doubt. I found her endlessly relatable at the end of the day. Ethan is a tongue-lolling-out golden retriever. Some readers may find it unbelievable that a 22-year-old guy like him desperately wants to be a "wife guy," for all intents and purposes, but I think it made for an interesting dynamic between the two of them. I adored his adoration of her. What he was willing to do for her made me swoon! The face masks part.... gah! So cute, so wonderful. I loved how More keeps the characters' wants and needs the same throughout the story (to explain this would be a spoiler, and I don't want to spoil anything... but so many authors make half of a couple capitulate their wants about marriage and children, and that doesn't happen here, which makes me so happy!). I am happy with the way this book went from all angles. I think it's got a great deal to say about healing, age-gap relationships and how to navigate them, moving on, grief/combating it, marriage and having kids, found family, and messed-up family dynamics. More balances it all really well. I didn't find this book to be overly long at all. I think it is well-paced and page-turning. And the spice! My god, is it good!!! I will definitely be reading the other books in this series!

Thank you to Mya More and Luna Literary for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

ALC Review

My rating is actually 4.5 Stars but half stars are not a thing and while I very rarely round up, this time I am because, reasons.

Mya More is a new-to-me author and normally, under these circumstances, I’d “investigate” before signing up to review said author’s work for the first time, especially when it’s a “new release” situation. Spoiler Alert: I did not do that! LOL Why? Well, because I saw the names Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais and I jumped and I’m in my audiobook era so it’s rare I pass on any ALC opportunity. Completely Blind. Anywhoooooo, I can’t say what I was expecting because I didn’t even read the blurb, lol, but I know that what I got was one heck of an experience! From the story to the performances ⇒ 👏👏👏👏!

I’m gonna get the whole 4.5 star rating out of the way because it’s not actually a “minor” thing but everything else about the story was so major that it made it minor and only justified a half star downgrade. So, the story has the usual “third-act” break-up circumstance, but with a twist! That twist had me blinking like I hadn’t blinked in a very long time! It takes a lot to “surprise me”, in the “what just happened?” kind of way and Mya did that, which I give her mad props for doing! Anywho, the twist itself is not so much my .5 twitch (lol), that comes from the “math” of the story. The circumstances surrounding Bridget’s “closed-off” heart happened a looooooooooong time ago and she’s a woman kicking at 40’s door. Feel me? And although I understand the emotional upheaval she went thru “then”, I don’t understand how it’s possible that 20(ish) years later she is emotionally in the same place. So much so, that it triggers a third-act break-up. For me, the math wasn’t mathing in a very realistic manner and it made me .5 twitch. *shrug* K, let’s move on …

I love how this story was both sexually driven and emotionally driven all at the same time. Most times, a story leans one way or the other but this story was special. The sexual nature of the relationship was entwined with not just the relationship growth but also the character growth. Everyone grew. Everyone discovered. Everything blossomed. I believed in this relationship every step of the way and I also enjoyed it. I experienced the story right along with our MCs and I’m really blown away by that because this is Mya’s debut novel and I mean I did not see it coming! I knew going in that no matter the story, Samantha & Connor would save the day no matter what, but the day did not need saving! I honestly cannot wait to experience more of this woman’s words. The story was authentic and relatable and quite possible might end up in my tops reads for 2026!

I'll be honest - the cover is one that would typically make me skip this book. DO NOT SKIP IT!

Bridget has been burned in the past, so she's built walls around her heart and focuses on her numbers. Numbers don't let her down. Numbers don't lead her on. Numbers don't hurt her. But when she goes out to a club looking for a one night stand and absolutely nothing more, she finds 22-year-old Ethan, a pup who won't seem to stop following her around.

Ethan is in a place of grief, but he begrudgingly heads to the club with his best friend. He doesn't expect to find the woman of his dreams there, and even though she swears nothing more than one night can happen between them, he refuses to go down without a fight.

When Bridget finds out she has to have surgery, there's nobody to help her through it except the one man who won't seem to take no for an answer. Yall, the way this man cares for her is stunningly spectacular. He falls so damn hard.

Sidenote: Be prepared for a twist you will not expect! I am genuinely rarely surprised by the books I read, but this threw me!

2 stars. X author. For the first 2/3 of this book I kept waiting for there to be more to the plot than this woman recovering from surgery but I need not have. The man would sometimes leave to work at a restaurant. He loved his Nonna. I’m glad her incisions healed and she and the man could have sex again.

The last 1/3 of the book rounds things out with a random smattering of many too many things, from a sex club visit to 30 pages of preparing and then bringing a meal for family dinner to a girl with autism who likes to make friendship bracelets. There is a sudden influx of long unnatural proclamations from a 22 year old. It’s very uncomfy. You didn’t ask, but here’s a taste: “With each piece of you that you share with me, my attraction grows, my affection magnifies, and my intention intensifies.” Uncomfy.

Then, a terrible twist of fatherly proportions that no one wanted to see coming or going. His dad turns out to be her traumatizing ex from high school. She’s unknowingly been sleeping and falling in love with the son of the man who destroyed her. Icky.

Finally, 7 or 8 different time jumps and epilogues.

This was not for me.

*One extra star given for the FMC and MMC maintaining that they don’t want kids. Despite a weird pregnancy scare where she test him to see if he’s lying about not wanting them - shitty to an epic degree, which never gets addressed. Okay maybe I want my extra star back.

ALC Review - Huge thanks to Mya More and Luna Literary for the opportunity to receive a review copy of All Her Broken Pieces!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 rounded down - I. Absolutely. Loved. This. Book. As a 37 year old neurodiverse woman who has never wanted kids, this couldn’t have been a more perfect read for me.

This one is a reverse age gap, with 16 years between our FMC Bridget (38) and our MMC Ethan (22). I really wasn’t sure how I would feel about this dynamic, but the author perfectly captured the anxieties and discomfort that were keeping Bridget from fully giving herself to this unconventional relationship. I especially liked the moment where she challenges Ethan’s ability to not “give a fuck what anyone thinks” by pointing out the difference in her reality:

“As a woman, I don’t have the luxury of not giving a fuck. I’ve tried, I really have, but I’m constantly reminded that everything I do is wrong or not enough.”

It was easy to forget just how much younger Ethan was because his level of maturity and emotional intelligence was something unmatched by most men of any age. Ethan is a caregiver through and through and, other than his age, is honestly kind of my dream man *swoons* Do I feel like there could realistically be a man like Ethan out there? Absolutely not. But that’s why this is fiction!

While it is not discussed outright, I began to sense early on that FMC Bridget was on the Autism spectrum (and I actually DMed the author to confirm that this inkling was correct). Reading Bridget’s POV was the most I’ve ever seen myself in a character - and relating so deeply to her experience made me feel pretty emotional (in a good way) at a few points throughout the book. She’s sarcastic, doesn’t have a filter, has a hard time trusting others, and uses different shapes of ice for different purposes. For many, it might feel like a challenge to be in a relationship (of any kind) with her. But not for Ethan…

“You act as though spending time with you is a chore.”

“Isn’t it? I didn’t have a lot of friends growing up. No siblings. I have Becka, and I push even her away at times. There aren’t a lot of people clamoring to spend time with me.”

A more direct form of ASD rep is found in Ethan’s sister (and this is why he’s so good at picking up on and having patience with some of Bridget’s more quirky traits).

This book starts with a ONS and let me tell you, the spice is SPICING in this one!!! The mouth on this man?! 😮‍💨 And the balanced combination of tenderness and dominance that he brings to the bedroom? Has. Me. Feral!

This was honestly a 5⭐️ read for me (almost) the whole way through - the fact that this was Mya’s DEBUT(!) blows me away! Sadly, I really didn’t like the way a situation was handled in the final 10% of the book though, and I just couldn’t get past that to give the book a perfect rating. More detailed thoughts on this (which contain spoilers) are below…

This audiobook is so well done! Performed in duet by a multi cast, Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor are absolute perfection as the MMC and FMC, while Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince really rounded out the experience by voicing various side characters. In retrospect, Connor’s voice was probably a bit mature for 22yo Ethan, but I can’t find it in me to care since I could listen to that man talk all day! 😅

Most notable moments in Connor’s narration of Ethan include when he talks the FMC through a panic attack (I think I’ll just turn that on next time I’m having one and will be healed 🤷🏼‍♀️😂) and his Italian one liners. Yes, THE MAN SPEAKS ITALIAN IN THIS BOOK and GODDAMN!

— Spoilers Below —
After a major twist that leaves Bridget needing space from Ethan, there is a scene where her period is late and she worries that she might be pregnant (which is the last thing she wants to be). Luckily, it’s a false alarm.

The problem for me arose when Bridget agreed to talk/reconcile with Ethan and she leads with this pregnancy scare (not making it clear that she is not pregnant). She is convinced that even though he says he doesn’t want kids, he may change his mind since he is so young (and honestly, valid). But basically tricking him into believing she was pregnant to be able to interpret his reaction was not the move.

I think it absolutely would have been reasonable for her to mention it to him after the more serious issues they faced were discussed, but to lead with that? If I were him, I’d be furious. I feel he gave her way too much grace there (he wasn’t upset at all). Obviously it was too late into the book for this to turn into something, but instead of just letting her off the hook for shitty behaviour, I wish Bridget had just gone about things differently.

I was given this ALC by Mya More to read and review, and I really enjoyed it—especially in audio format. The choice of narrators was perfect, and overall, the story itself was interesting and engaging.

The book follows Bridget, a 38-year-old woman who avoids romantic relationships at all costs. Then we meet Ethan, a 23-year-old man who is still navigating his grief. Their connection happens quickly—they meet, go home together, and he is completely hooked.

It’s a good story, particularly for an age gap romance, with a very endearing “golden retriever” MMC. I also appreciated the realistic portrayal of what it can be like for a woman facing a reproductive surgery; it was handled with the seriousness it deserves, rather than being minimized.

I really respected that Bridget was clear from the beginning about not wanting children. When Ethan initially expressed the same view, it felt somewhat like he was saying what she wanted him to say, but as the story unfolds, you gain deeper insight into both characters and begin to understand the motivations behind their decisions.

The epilogue felt slightly disjointed, as it moved through multiple time jumps to reach its conclusion, which made it read a bit annoyingly.

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this book and would recommend it—especially if you appreciate a golden retriever MMC who shows up and takes care of the FMC when she needs it ✨

Thank you to the author and Luna Literary Management for the ALC! 🩷🎧

Bridget and Ethan complimented one another very well! I absolutely love their dynamic, the witty banter, and how they took the time to slowly let one another in. Ethan was sweet, patient, and took care of Bridget in all the ways she didn't even know she needed. The narrators did an absolutely phenomenal job as well! The casting was amazing. I honestly enjoyed this audiobook so much more than I had expected to, and I'll definitely have to look into the rest of the series.

One of my very favorite books has come to life with a multi cast duet narration! All Her Broken Pieces by Mya More is now available in audio book and the narration exceeded my expectations! These characters were in such good hands with Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais with Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince

Connor Crais so perfectly embodied the voice of Ethan aka Chef Pickle. You can hear his cocky swagger (and signature throaty growl) but also the genuine concern and warmth he has while caring for Bridget.

Samantha Brentmoor as Bridget was as the perfect choice as well. She is such a strong an independent woman, but you can hear the vulnerability in her interactions with Ethan.

I am a huge audiobook fan and when I heard that Mya’s series was going audio I did a little happy dance! Can we talk about these narrators!! They were the most perfect Bridget & Ethan! I also freaked out when I saw who the narrators would be! I read book 3 in this series first and it did not take away going back to book 1 in the series. The story was so good and that plot twist was so wild and i truly did not see that coming! i still need to read book 2 but lets be real, I'm waiting for the audiobook for book 2!

I devoured this! I applied for the the ALC of the audio as soon as I saw it was performed by Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor, two of my absolute faves! I also loved that that was reverse age gap. The FMC Bridget is 38 and Ethan is 22 when they meet during a night out and hook up. I will say Bridget hits a bit close to home. She is hyper independant and closed off. Ethan immediately feels a connection and Bridget is ready to cut him off completely swearing off all relationships and just looking for no strings attached. Unfortunately for her the pup doesn’t give up that easily and when she finds herself in a bind needing some help he is ready and waiting with an overnight bag.

I listening to their relationship unfold. He is written almost a little too perfect and extremely lovable. Emotionally stable and extremely mature for 22. He works through all of her extremely high emotional barriers and the stigma of their age gap and at the end there was quite the twist I didn’t see coming. Overall it’s a really sweet story and the audio narration only enhanced the the characters and made it that much more enjoyable.

A copy of this audiobook was provided by the author. My review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

"At times, it feels as though he’s reading my thoughts, understanding who I am better than I understand myself, anticipating my needs before I’ve even made a mental checklist of what to do first." - Bridget

"All I want is for her to get some peace and rest. If lying here next to her, practically holding my breath, affords her some comfort, then I’ll gladly serve my queen." - Ethan

Ethan wanted more after having a night of fun with Bridget. Bridget has reasons why she doesn't want a relationship, but after she needed an operation and someone that would take care of her during the recovery, Ethan is there for her. Ethan is very sweet and caring for his family and friends, and he truly is a golden retriever.

Bridget isn't used to someone caring for her; she has an ex who has left emotional scars. That's part of the reason why she likes living alone and being alone, but it's also because letting someone in is scary for her. But she slowly started giving Ethan a chance, and he was very patient with her and her boundaries. During the recovery time they did skin care together, Ethan cooked a lot of delicious food, and they started getting to know each other more.

Bridget and Ethan (22) are so good together. I didn't notice their age difference; Bridget (38) was the only one worried about that, and I love that Ethan was always reassuring and patient with her. He helped her heal from how people had treated her in the past. He really thinks of small details and listens to her. Bridget also remembers what's important to him and makes sure to make new memories while cooking with him because it's important and healing for him. I really loved the pacing of their relationship and that they spend a lot of quality time together. THE PLOT TWIST was shocking, but I'm glad that they already had a connection before that happened. Bridget just couldn't get a break. I really loved the connection between Bridget and her best friend Becka. And the connection between Ethan and his best friend Alyx (I'm excited to read those friendships from other POV's and hopefully their own books). A FIVE-STAR BOOK FOR ME, I'm very excited to read the next book in this series.

All her Broken pieces by Mya More

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- Stars
🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Spice

Take me to Cougar town.
Give me a one way ticket.
This story explores the one night stand of Ethan and Bridget. Well, Ethan wants more. He wants to worship Queen Bridget all night. Bridget is not in a place to start a relationship with anyone. This lady has some serious baggage, but who doesn’t these days right?

But with the dimple of desire painted on Ethan’s face Bridget gives in and lets him stay a bit longer with the deal that if he leaves she’d see him again. This slow burn situationship hits all the notes of how you show someone you love them. Showing them before uttering the words because love is given in different ways and shows up differently depending on who it’s for.

Ethan is surrounded by females and shows Bridget new techniques he gets from his younger sisters with Bridget’s nightly routine. Which is huge considering Bridget has a hard time accepting help, and doesn't really trust people. She has been screwed over by every man she’s ever been with and the list isn’t that long either. She has committed to just satisfying her sexual desires with the surface level interactions with men until Ethan.

The soft moments of him taking care of her (the make up removal , the nightly face routine) , the ice fetish, cooking for her, and sharing recipes from his family. Those are the moments that made my heart squeeze.

Ethan kept showing up for Bridget throughout the story. Without hesitation, without wanting anything in return. Just wanting to spend time with her and learn more about her. What makes her tick?

Honestly, the only reason why this wasn’t a 5 star is because of personal reasons. I love an age gap story but it felt like it was the only issue keeping them from being together. I get that she had insecurities but I thought that the primary issue was her not trusting others which is why her circle was small. Yet the age difference kept getting brought up. So, I can only surmise that maybe both were issues the FMC was dealing with. Either way I enjoyed the story and the off the charts chemistry with these two. The spicy scenes had me fanning myself.

All Her Broken Pieces by Mya More is a contemporary romance featuring a reverse age gap (38 h / 22 H), a one-night stand, forced proximity, and black cat x golden retriever vibes.

Bridget was satisfied with her solo, introverted life -- complete with an intense career requiring a million hours of work, independent lifestyle with a singular BFF who put up with her periodic ghosting, and a supposedly loving, but very indifferent, family. Then along came Ethan -- the sweetest, s3xiest, most persistent golden retriever to ever exist. He was smitten with her from the get-go and did his best to worm his way into every aspect of her life. When Bridget is suddenly forced to depend on Ethan, the balance of their relationship begins to S L O W L Y shift.

Ethan loved on Bridget with a never-ending, swoon-worthy supply of patience and understanding. He was undeterred by her prickly defense mechanisms and constant attempts to push him away. Despite finding Bridget's grudge against ALL relationships silly and frustrating, I was glad she didn't give in easily to Ethan's wishes. At least I could appreciate her strong convictions. Personally I enjoyed how gradually their relationship unfolded. It made it feel authentic, vulnerable and hard won.

I loved the duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais (with Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince.) Both Brentmoor and Crasis have two of my most favorite voices for romance audiobooks. They bring beautiful emotional nuance and range to the story and do a strong job differentiating the voices among the various characters.

That crazy reveal towards the end of the book was mind-blowing! I absolutely did not see that coming. It legitimately made me gasp so loudly that I had to rewind my audiobook -- thrice -- to ensure I heard correctly. Just wait for it... you'll know it when you hear it.

Overall I give All Her Broken Pieces by Mya More 4.5 (out of five) stars and highly recommend folks pick it up. The ste@my scenes were delicious, the MC's fantastic banter and sass kept me laughing, and the astonishing twist at the end made me beg for more. The epilogue, with the large time skips, was also a divine way to wrap up the story.

A huge thank you to Mya More and Luna Literary for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

Ethan couldn’t have been a more perfect MMC. He said and did ALL the right things. Like, so sweet and thoughtful that I found myself overwhelmed with his disarming charm. Bridgette felt so relatable. Things that she said, experiences she dealt with in her life— my gosh, I FELT that. I think most women reading would feel the same way. Mya couldn’t have found two more perfect humans to narrate this than my FAVES, Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. They added so much depth to these already complex characters. I loved their performances!

Bridgette is a guarded heroine— the hurt and betrayal of the past shaping her future. She swore to never let a man into her heart again. Ethan, however, was a force she never saw coming. One that, with his careful observations and unending care, saw her carefully constructed walls and began dismantling it brick by brick. It wasn’t an easy task, Bridgette gave him hell every step of the way, making for some top notch banter. But the main thing Ethan did, that most human men don’t, is not give up. He looked for the source of her hesitancy, her pain, the source of who she is, and supported her, accepted her, every single piece of her. Omg, and the face masks!? Ughh…love that!

I love how Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais brought these two to life. There is something so incredible about each and every one of their performances that leaves me in awe. They make these exceptional characters even more meaningful with their careful consideration. SammyB and Connor are THE BEST of the best voice actors out there. They have that extra special something that makes me fall for them with each and every title they narrate. This audiobook is a prime example of that. Oh, and can I just add, listening to Connor speak Italian…new obsession unlocked. 🤌🏼

This was my first time ever listening to Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince. They both were absolutely fantastic! They added depth to this audiobook with their stellar performances of the side characters, especially Bridgette’s bestie! I definitely want to listen to more of each of them!

To my dear friend Mya Moore, thank you for creating characters that are so real. And for the perfection that is Ethan, who has a ridiculously filthy mouth 😅 Congratulations on your first audiobook release! I’m so happy for you! A big thank you to Luna Literary for choosing me to listen to and review this amazing title, even with my account being temporarily private! It means the world to me to help this amazing author spread the well deserved love for her audiobook!

🎧 Audiobook review 🎧⚡ Spoilers and profanities might lie ahead—I usually like to talk shit about everything that goes down in these books

Bridget did not deserve Ethan, sorry, but she was a bitter human being projecting all her past trauma onto everyone and everything, making one shitty moment from 25 years ago her entire personality. Throughout 3/4 of the book I wanted to slap her and scream at her to move the fuck on.

Why was Ethan so infatuated with her? All she did was crap on him. Like, dude, I get it—you don’t do relationships, blah blah—but you’re having a serious six-week recovery after surgery and you act like a brat because a kind-hearted stranger wants to take care of you? That was plain nasty.

And the way she treats her one and only friend—constantly leaving her on read and not answering her calls… like girl, no wonder you have one friend, who probably has some sort of Stockholm syndrome because otherwise, what the hell is she still doing there?

I’m sorry, but at some point you need to take the trauma and shove it—because it’s one thing to be wary of people’s motives and cautious, and another thing entirely to be a complete and utter bitch because some guy in high school was a brain-dead teenager who messed around and got another girl pregnant. Oh, he cheated on you? Boohoo—let’s let that ruin our entire life. Bleah.

Can you tell I feel strongly about this trope???

Anyway… Ethan was a dream, god fudging damn it. I would have latched onto him so fast and so hard you wouldn’t even see my shadow moving. My god—I guess all the good traits went into writing him into existence, and Bridget got everything else. I’m in love with Ethan for everyone except Bridget.

All the bits and pieces we learn about him—his past and his present—are so rich, full of life, interesting, vibrant… and then we have Bridget: one-night stands, trauma, and work. Boring.

Oh, speaking of Bridget—can we please stop jumping to conclusions and running away like a scared little girl??? You’re a boss-lady CFO who runs mergers and allegedly has “more balls than all the guys in the company,” but in real life those balls apparently shrivel and die at the first sign of discomfort? Get a grip. I’d be more embarrassed by the panic-and-run than by actually having a conversation, for fuck’s sake.

Anyway, the twist at the end—I will admit—it had my jaw on the floor. I was not expecting that. Did I like it? Yes and no. It was shocking in a good way… but it did give me the ick. Not necessarily because she slept with both father and son, but because her entire life trauma was destroyed by his father, and Ethan is the result of what his father did to Bridget, and now he’s not only sleeping with her but also “putting her back together” and telling her he was born to fix what his father broke… and he was basically engineered for her healing. Bleah. Barf.

One thing that felt like it was building up but never went anywhere was her attitude toward her job. We get hints throughout the book—her anxiety, her struggle to feel like she belongs in the big leagues, the feminist “I must prove myself” angle… she even has a panic attack when she sees her sort-of boss at a sex club… and then… nothing. It’s never addressed again and she just goes back to work like normal.

Now, the spice… ugh. Can we please write normal-sized dicks that don’t destroy people’s anatomy? Because I am having constant burn sensations every time I read about huge penises that require “adjustments” and somehow turn pain into pleasure (eye roll).

Other than that, swoon—because Connor Crais is always a good time <3

Now, you’d think I hated this book after all that negativity… but honestly, I just needed to let it all out so I can move on. Did I recommend it? Sure. When I didn’t want to strangle Bridget, I was enjoying it 😌 Duet-style narration.

📚All Her Broken Pieces by Mya Moore
🎤Connor Crais, Samantha Brentmoor with Audrey Obeyn & Logan Price

DUET NARRATION
✨Available Now✨

This book really packed a punch that I was NOT expecting. Mya's writing is emotional, tender & honestly pretty daring. The story is extremely heartfelt, a story about healing & learning to be vulnerable with the ones you love. She touches on some deep & sensitive topics that are handled extremely well which brings a lot of depth to her characters. She's absolutely an author you need to get on your radar.

Bridget seems confident & successful in her job but she has one rule: absolutely no relationships. She's experienced loss, betrayal & hurt, so she's made her mind up that love is just off the table. Everything is temporary with her. No strings attached means no getting hurt.

Enter Ethan, he's completely the opposite. He's extremely caring, thoughtful & looking for a deep relationship, someone to love forever. He's open & honest which makes Bridget very uncomfortable.

They meet one night at a club & end up in a very hot and heavy one night stand. Listen, the chemistry between these two is WILD & Mya can write the heck out of a spicy scene! You can almost feel the chemistry in Mya's words. Ethan is immediately smitten with Bridget & she just wants him to leave as soon as possible. When she's faced with an emergency medical situation, needing help, Ethan is the only one available to take care of her. After much resistance, she finally agrees to his help & from there, a real friendship begins to form. He's so patient & attentive to her and it's honestly just shocking to Bridget. She's never been cared for this way.

There are so many quiet & vulnerable moments between these two. He's a sous chef in an Italian restaurant so cooking is his love language. She's got the biggest black cat personality & Ethan handles her like a PRO! Her biggest hurdle is admitting that she's been dealing with anxiety & panic attacks. Ethan begins to help her work through them & tries to find the source of where this all started.

Just when you think things are moving towards the HEA, Mya really throws a curve ball that you DO NOT see coming & honestly I didn't know how these two were going to overcome it but they do and it's absolutely perfect! I'm not gonna lie, there's a BIG age gap between these two, 16 year, and even though I love me an age gap, this one is a little bigger than I usually like but Mya is able to write Ethan in such a way that honestly makes you forget he's so much younger. He's honestly SO good for Bridget & she makes him happy which is all he really wants.

There's a lot of emotional growth & healing in this story but there's also fun & playful moments that make you chuckle and put a smile on your face. I'm really blown away at Mya's writing & the ARC of these two characters.

🎤Let's talk audio: Mya's chosen some of the best to kick off her audiobook journey & there's NO DOUBT that Connor & Sam deliver in a big way! Brentmoor perfectly captures all of Bridget's insecurities, struggles & guarded nature & Connor is fantastic as the ever faithful caretaker & patient partner filled with loads of warmth & caring. Ethan just oozes Golden Retriever vibes big time. Let's not forget to mention, the multiple times Connor gets to use his Italian accent. Yes, you heard that right & it's FIRE!🔥

These narrators really take this story to another level & Mya's an author to put on your watch list without question. I highly recommend giving this one a shot because I think you'll be genuinely surprised & delighted. Their HEA isn't an easy one but it definitely leaves you satisfied & happy for these two. Really excited to see where Mya takes us in this series.

Thanks to Mya Moore and Luna Literary Management for a #gifted copy of the ALC. All thoughts are my own.

Recap Quickie
Bridget and Ethan share a HOT night after meeting up at a club with friends. Their chemistry is off the charts but Bridget doesn’t do “repeats” and has no plans to see Ethan again. Especially after learning he is sixteen years her junior! Ethan is very persistent though… and charms his way into seeing her once more. Bridget is fiercely independent and keeps her circle small. Making friends hasn’t come easily to her and her heart is still recovering from past trauma. So when she learns she’ll need surgery and both her parents and bestie will be out of town, she reluctantly agrees to let Ethan take care of her while she recovers- just as friends! Turns out Ethan is a brilliant chef at Bridget’s favorite restaurant and the world’s best caretaker. As she starts to feel better, that chemistry re-enters the picture! But will Bridget be able to look past both her trauma and her rule of no relationships? Because Ethan is not giving up!

My Thoughts
This was a fun read! The spice was plentiful and well-written. And Ethan was on par with Theo Silva’s level of perfection, ok!? (IYKYK). This was my first time reading Mya More and I will definitely be checking out the second book (especially because I already looked it up to see what it’s about and oh yes I will be checking it out). I enjoyed the side characters- it is a fun little found family/ family cast of characters and I’m curious to see where the series goes.

Narrator Vibes
Samantha Brentmoor has never EVER let me down. I think she is my most reviewed narrator at this point. She is so good at what she does and she was excellent in this role. I really forgot it was her as she became Bridget. And same with Connor Crais. He was great as Ethan. He did his signature “F*ckkkkk” MULTIPLE times. But the one in Chapter 3 @ 10:23 is… next level. Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince were new to me but they were both fantastic. Audrey was very versatile and did a lot (all?) of the additional female roles in addition to Bridget’s best friend, Becka. I loved her switch from bubbly Becka to more serious roles like Bridget’s gynecologist. I hope she is returning for book two!

40+ Reader Appeal? (Not Considered in Rating)
This felt very geared towards women with some life experience! There is a scene where Bridget goes to her gynecologist’s office and it had me cracking up! Ethan felt very much like a fella we could all use in our lives- there to take care needing nearly nothing in return!

HEA: Yes

All Her Broken Pieces is an emotional, tender, and surprisingly bold debut that blends vulnerability, healing, and romance into a story that feels both heartfelt and addictive. Mya More came out swinging with this one.

The writing is engaging, natural, and emotionally layered, balancing heavier themes with warmth, humor, and just enough spice to keep things interesting without overpowering the story.

The Story

Bridget has one rule: no relationships.

After everything she’s been through, love simply isn’t worth the risk. Temporary flings are safe. Controlled. No strings, no heartbreak.

Ethan is her complete opposite.

He loves deeply, openly, and without hesitation. So when their one-night stand leaves him wanting more, he doesn’t walk away, he leans in. Hard.

When an unexpected medical situation forces Bridget to rely on him, Ethan slowly becomes part of her carefully guarded world. What follows is a beautiful hurt/comfort journey where patience, care, and consistency start to break down the walls she’s spent years building.

This is very much a “he falls first and harder” story, and Ethan delivers. His golden retriever energy is the perfect contrast to Bridget’s guarded, black cat personality.

What really makes this story shine are the quiet moments. The care. The routines. The intimacy in everyday actions. Him helping her with her nightly routine. Cooking for her. Sharing pieces of his life and culture. Those soft, intentional moments carry just as much weight as the bigger emotional beats.

And then (just when you think you know where the story is going) there’s a plot twist that hits hard enough to make you pause.

What I Loved

✔️ Reverse age gap (38/22) that feels natural and grounded
✔️ Black cat x golden retriever dynamic
✔️ Strong hurt/comfort elements
✔️ Emotional growth and healing
✔️ Soft, intimate caretaking moments
✔️ A twist that genuinely surprises

Beyond the romance, the book also touches on deeper topics like anxiety and personal trauma. These elements are handled with care and add meaningful depth to the characters’ journeys.

Bridget and Ethan don’t get their HEA easily and that makes it all the more satisfying.

🎧 Narration

Performed in duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais, with additional performances by Audrey Obeyn and Logan Price.

This audiobook is an absolute standout.

Samantha Brentmoor perfectly captures Bridget’s guarded nature, layering strength with vulnerability in a way that feels incredibly real. Connor Crais brings Ethan to life with warmth, charm, and that irresistible golden retriever energy. And yes his Italian? Completely unfair. In the best way.

The chemistry between them is undeniable, and the duet style makes every interaction feel immersive and emotionally charged. The added multicast elements only enhance the experience.

What I Liked

✔️ Strong narrator pairing that elevates the story
✔️ Emotional depth combined with engaging pacing
✔️ Balanced spice that supports the relationship
✔️ Setup for future books in the series

Tropes & Vibes

✔️ Reverse Age Gap
✔️ Black Cat x Golden Retriever
✔️ One-Night Stand
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Hurt/Comfort
✔️ He Falls First
✔️ Emotional Healing
✔️ Caretaking Romance

Final Thoughts

All Her Broken Pieces is a strong, confident debut that delivers both emotionally and romantically. It is tender without being overly soft, emotional without being overwhelming, and just spicy enough to keep things engaging.

Mya More has created a story about healing, trust, and learning that love can be safe even when it feels like the biggest risk of all.

If this is the start of the series, I am very ready to see what comes next.

📖 What to expect: Age Gap Romance (She's Older) , One Night Stand, Forced Proximity, Black Cat x Golden Retriever, He Falls First + Harder, Hurt/Care, ASD and Anxiety Rep

I knew three chapters in that this book was going to be a 5-star read, and it did not disappoint. By the epilogue I was crying – and I’m not a crier – but this book really spoke to my soul. I’ve been following this author on socials for a while but hadn’t yet picked up any of her books, so as soon as I saw the sign-up for this ALC, I had to jump at the chance.

This book starts off with a bang. Bridget and Ethan meet at a club and have a one-night stand, but Ethan feels drawn to her and can’t stay away. When Bridget has a medical emergency, he volunteers to take care of her, and their blossoming friendship soon turns into more. It’s not smooth sailing, though, because Bridget has been hurt in the past and is apprehensive about opening up – even her best friend Becka had to burrow her way through Bridget’s walls to build the close friendship they now have.

Ethan is an absolute green flag of an MMC. He’s only 22, but very mature for his age because he’s had to practically raise his little sisters – she’s 38. He’s genuine, thoughtful, and caring, with a dominant side, and he’s the perfect person to make her feel safe enough to let her walls down.

I loved the progression of their relationship. There’s chemistry from the start, but we also get to see a genuine emotional connection build over time. They have opposite personalities, but they fit so well together. It isn’t smooth sailing, though – he’s patient, giving her space to work through her past hurts so she can let him in, while also gently nudging her out of her comfort zone. Another reason he’s so perfect for her – he knows when to push and when to hold back. She feels like she’s too much for most people, but he shows her that she’s exactly as much as she needs to be. One of the most moving scenes in the story was him helping her through a panic attack.

Both characters experience growth, but Bridget more so than Ethan. Though she appears confident, she has a lot of insecurities from past experiences and from working in a male-dominated industry, which Ethan helps her work through. At the same time, she makes him feel valued in a way he hasn’t before. They both get to heal from past wounds.

The book is a mix of funny, spicy, swoony, and emotional, and the author balances all aspects really well, handling the heavier topics with care. As a child-free (by choice) woman, I really appreciated how that aspect of the story was handled. I haven’t read many books where the FMC is decidedly child-free and it’s actually addressed, rather than just mentioned in passing or implied in the epilogue. It was nice to see myself represented. I loved the positive representation. It was a valid choice she made and no one was telling her she’d regret it later or she’d change her mind once she had them. I also found the scene between Bridget, Ethan, and Ethan’s sister Lizzy – who is autistic – very moving.

There were some great side characters, especially Bridget’s best friend Becka and Ethan’s best friend Alex, who added depth and humour to the story. They both have their own books in this series, and I can’t wait to read them.

The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor are two of my favourites, and they performed the lead roles beautifully, really bringing out the emotions in the heavier scenes. I’ve only listened to a few books narrated by Audrey Obeyn, but I love her voice and enjoyed the way she gave each female side character a distinct personality. Logan Prince, who is new to me, rounded out the cast with his portrayal of Alex as well as Ethan’s dad, and I’d love to hear more of his work.

This is a heartwarming story of healing and acceptance with a hard-won happily ever after. If this was her debut, I can’t wait to read what she’s written since. If you like stories with a feisty black cat, a golden retriever who will make you swoon, supportive friendships, and some sizzling spice, you should definitely pick this up.

All Her Broken Pieces – Mya More
🎧 Duet-style narration by Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais, with Audrey Obeyn & Logan Prince

This was my first Mya More book and to say I was impressed is an understatement. The spice hits fast and furious in this one, and then it quickly turns into something so much more layered.

Bridget and Ethan start with one night, but it doesn’t stay that simple for long. She’s guarded, career focused, and completely shut off from love after her past. He’s younger, confident, and refuses to accept that one night is enough.

This reverse age gap is so well written. It feels natural, not forced, and Ethan shows up in a way that feels steady, intentional, and surprisingly mature. Watching Bridget try to hold onto control while he slowly works his way in was everything. Ethan is pure caretaker energy. Cooking for her, learning her, showing up for her in ways she doesn’t even realize she needs. Add in how he is with his family and it just seals it.

💗 reverse age gap (22 & 38)
💗 one night stand
💗 he falls first and hard
💗 black cat x golden retriever energy
💗 forced proximity
💗 caretaker MMC
💗 anxiety rep
💗 complicated pasts

🎧 The audio… this is where it really shines.
Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais are just that pairing for me. If I see their names, I already know I’m pressing play. And this one just proves it again.

Samantha brings Bridget to life with a sharp, controlled edge, but you can hear everything underneath it. The tension, the hesitation, the moments where she almost lets go and then pulls herself right back. It feels so real and so layered without ever feeling overdone. There is a reason she’s my narrator Queen and again, she proves why!

Connor Crais absolutely nailed Ethan. What can this man not do! This reverse age gap is a very specific dynamic to pull off and he does it so well. Confident, warm, a little cocky when it counts, and yes… that dirty mouth. And when he slips into Italian… I was done. Fully done. Not to mention the drawn out f-bombs that are truly a love bomb for my heartstrings. Incredible performance.

What I loved most is how natural they sound together. The chemistry is there in every scene, whether it’s tension, banter, or the softer moments. It never feels like a performance, it just feels like them.

And the supporting cast was such a great addition. Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince added so much depth to the world and rounded everything out in a way that made it feel fuller without pulling focus.

I could honestly listen to Samantha and Connor all day and this one is a perfect example of why.

This was my first Mya More and I’m officially in.
A huge thank you to Mya for the gifted audiobook.

3.5/5⭐️

Overall it was a... I'll say decent book. I got frustrated and annoyed with the FMC a lot! Loads of eye rolling over here.

I'm not a huge fan of the reverse age gap in general, but I don't mind it if it doesn't get brought up a lot in the book. This, however, was a huge issue for the FMC. And I get it. 16 years is a pretty big gap. But my God... I wanted to throw my kindle so many times!
Anyway.... Let's continue.

After her surgery, Bridget was the biggest bitch to the nurse. The were talking about post-op care and not lifting anything and somehow kids were brought up and she lost it. Like the nurse should know she didn't want kids... 🙄
Even before surgery, when the nurse mistook Ethan for her son, she was snappy.

Her constant negativity in respects to relationships.... Come on! All because of a crappy highschool boyfriend? Grow up!

Her attitude towards Ethan helping is annoying AF.

Her pickiness with ice... of all the things! And if she's so picky about it, wouldn't she already have those particular ice moulds? Why did Ethan have to borrow them from his resturant?

Her fear of people seeing her without make-up screams shallow.

When he tried to do something sweet and researched skincare routines and she got mad that he was "mansplaining" skin care to her.

The nicknames "queen" and "pup" 🤢🤮

I could never really get a read on Bridget. Sometimes she was super confident, especially when it comes to work. And there were times she was insecure and shy.
For example, they went to a nightclub so she could find a hook-up, but when Ethan took her to the sex club she was almost shocked I guess. IDK....

It sounded like Ethan was a good.... I don't know, 7-8 years older than the oldest sister, but he was only 3 years older than her.

When Bridget went to another resturant and saw Ethan with, what turned out to be his step mom, the description did sound more couple-y. Face to face, holding her and forehead kisses. I could totally see why Bridget thought he was cheating.

Lastly.... Holy Shit! 🤬 Ethan's dad was the cheating Highschool ex-boyfriend?!?!

Anywhooo... I am excited for Becka and Robert's book.

Also, I wish he would have translated what he said when he was speaking Italian.

What to Expect:
- Black Cat + Golden Retriever
- Forced Proximity
- Age Gap (she’s 38, he’s 22)
- One Night Stand
- He Falls First & Harder
- Hurt + Comfort
- ASD Representation
- Anxiety Representation
- Dual 1st Person POV
- Multicast Duet Narration

My Thoughts:
This was my first read by Mya More, and whew, it was a wild ride. Honestly, I can't believe this was a debut. All Her Broken Pieces gave me all the emotions, spice, and drama. The betrayal, secrets, and forced proximity of it all, definitely kept me turning the pages. Bridget and Ethan were such flawed characters. There were times I wanted to shake some sense into Bridget. She was holding onto 20 years of pain, which elicited some conflicting emotions in me. She needed lots of time and space to heal and work out her feelings, but I enjoyed witnessing her grow throughout the story.

Ethan fell hard and was all in from the start. He was emotionally mature for a 22-year-old, and honestly, I love a man who knows what he wants. Bridget was tough and made Ethan work for it, but he pulled her walls down brick by brick, I tell you, BRICK BY BRICK. His patience, support, and determination had me swooning. These two had some really sweet moments together, and I loved watching them fall in love. Bridget and Ethan's journey was not simple. It was emotional, layered, and beautifully complex. The twist? Oh my! I didn't see it coming! I enjoyed this book, and I'm excited for the rest of the series.

Narration:
This audiobook was performed in duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais, featuring Audrey Obeyn and Logan Prince. These four talented voice actors did an amazing job with this story. Samantha and Connor's voices always work so well together, and they really brought Bridget and Ethan to life. I felt every single emotion, and they perfectly delivered the banter and chemistry. It's always a joy to listen to Audrey, and she nailed her role as Becca in this one. Logan is new to me. I loved him as Alyx, and I hope I get to listen to more of his work. I highly recommend enjoying this book in audio or as an immersive read.

Thanks to Mya More and Luna Literary Management for the gifted ALC. Opinions expressed are my own.

“ALL HER BROKEN PIECES” MYA MORE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Debut novel by Mya More AND I’M HERE FOR IT!!
I had the pleasure of working on the Italian part of this book, and I want to thank Mya for trusting me. I can’t wait to see what this series has in store for us!

Falling in love was never part of Bridget’s plans. After giving up on serious relationships, she’s decided to stick to no-strings-attached flings to avoid getting hurt again. Ethan, on the other hand, is a hopeless romantic—he loves deeply and isn’t afraid to show it. When what was meant to be just a one-night stand leaves him wanting more, Ethan does everything he can to convince Bridget to give him a chance. An unexpected surgery forces Bridget to rely on him, giving him a small but precious space in her carefully guarded world. As Ethan tries to mend her shattered trust, Bridget must make the hardest decision of all: risk everything and let herself fall in love.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think about this book is: SO HOT.
Yes, there are seriously steamy scenes—no matter how cold it is where you are, you’ll need a fan to cool down.
This man’s mouth… goddamn…

But beyond the spice, this book touches on some really important topics. Huge shoutout to the emphasis on prevention, and the love story? A romance that faced a challenge and came out stronger.
“All Her Broken Pieces” also includes a pretty unexpected twist—okay, I had a slight hunch at some point, but it still managed to shock me!

I absolutely loved Bridget’s character. Even though I wanted to str4ngle her at times for being so stubborn and hard-headed—I just wanted to shake her and yell, “Do you even see the man in front of you? He’s head over heels for you!”—I still get her. I could really empathize with her because I’m so much like her. I understood her struggle to trust, to let go, to ask for help after a lifetime of depending only on herself.

Ethan, the man that you are. You’re so fictional I can barely believe someone like you could exist, but hey, a girl can hope… maybe. At twenty-two, he’s not a boy, he’s a man. The way he wants to care for Bridget, the way he thinks, he had to grow up way too fast, but it all paid off.

I also really enjoyed the writing style—it didn’t feel like a debut at all.
Thank you, Mya, for this gem. I can’t wait to read the next book, which will be an MMF (yes, you read that right), and I’m dying to find out who the third person will be, though I do have a suspect in mind!

🎧⭐️ALC Review⭐️🎧
Overall Thoughts: I was a little worried when I started this book, having followed Mya for awhile and meeting her at IIP, I was afraid I was putting expectations on the book, when I try really hard not to do that, especially with a new-to-me author. Turns out I had NOTHING to worry about. This book was incredible. I did wait for the audio as that’s my primary medium, and it did not disappoint. The story, the dialog, the character arch, the primary and secondary relationships, and of course the audio. Sam is always a pleasure to listen to, and she knocked this performance out of the park. Connor, was amazing, although personally his voice is too mature for a 22-year old. I haven’t listen to Audrey in a minute, and she did a great job as the FMC’s BFF and some other fem characters. This was my first book with Logan Prince and I enjoyed his performance, and want more from him in the future. If this is on your TBR or TBL, I suggest you move it to the top immediately.

Narration: multi-cast duet, multi-POV, first person, present tense, some flashbacks

Tropes: CFO, fierce, independent FMC, revers age gap (16 years), chef, found family, big family, she pushes him away, he continues to fight for her, he takes care of her, close proximity, forced proximity, closed off FMC, fertility conversations, “Mine”, dirty talk, black cat/golden retriever, ASD rep, anxiety rep

Overall: 5 ❤️
Spice: 3.5 🌶️
Humor: 3 😂
Drama: 3 🎭
Darkness: 2 🖤
Narration: 5 🎧

Bridget is the CFO of company in the middle of an acquisition, and her bestie finally convinces her to let loose at a club where they run into Ethan at a club. The two hit it off, and they go back to her place for one night off fun.

Ethan becomes smitten with Bridget and does whatever he can to prove to her that his age isn’t an issue, and she should give him a chance.

When she has to have unplanned surgery, and Ethan is the only one who is there to help, he slowly breaks down the re-unforced walls she has build around herself. Will Ethan be able to break through those barriers and prove that he’s the one that can prove to her, love really is worth the risk?

ALC review

Bridget is an independent CFO who avoids emotional attachments like the plague. After a mind blowing one night stand with Ethan, a sweet sous chef with dimples that should be illegal, she tries to push him away. However a health scare forces her to accept his help. Ethan, a hopeless romantic with a heart of gold, sees past her walls and refuses to let her face surgery alone. When Bridget's heart is finally opening up a shocking revelation from her past pops up...
Ethan is the perfect book boyfriend. Loyal, attentive and so patient. He sees something in Bridget that nobody else sees and decides to show her she is lovable. I loved his persistence and determination.
Bridget has been let down one to many times and thus doesn't trust emotional attachments. The way her character is written was wonderfully done. It was very satisfying to see that Ethan manages to crack that external and manages to get into her heart.
I did not see the plot twist towards the end coming. It blew my mind and made me love the book even more. I also enjoyed the reverse age difference between out main characters.

Audio review 5 stars
The audio book was narrated in duet style by Samantha Brentmoor, Connor Crais, Audrey Obeyn, and Logan Prince. The way Samantha portrayed Bridget and Connor portrayed Ethan was fantastic. They banter felt so natural. Add in Audrey and Logan and you have a masterpiece.
Connor as Ethan was a perfect cast. His voice is warm with a youthful earnestness that captured Ethan's character perfectly. The way Samantha brought Bridget to live is wonderful. The smokey, sophisticated voice laced with sarcasm was exactly how I thought Bridget would sound.
The support roles for Audrey and Logan where also lovely done. I enjoy the differences in voices between all characters.
Oh and the spicy scenes.... can we please have a full length sequel with that?
