STORM OF The Karen Read Murder Trialsis an electrifying, real-time courtroom thriller and the gripping personal account of author Kevin Lenihan’s detailed examination of the evidence—both known and what he’s discovered—as well as the dark rumors, courtroom bombshells, and conspiracy theories that are at the heart of two of the most explosive and controversial murder trials of the decade.
The case began in the midst of a massive snowstorm in 2022 and ended the first time in a mistrial. Now, more than two years later, it is poised to ignite in a Boston courtroom once again.
At question is whether Karen Read, a 43-year-old college professor, is responsible as charged for the cold-blooded murder of her boyfriend, John O’Keefe, a Boston police officer? Or was she framed, by the real killer—another cop—covering his tracks with the help of a corrupt law enforcement establishment?
In STORM OF SUSPICION, Lenihan, the COURT TV expert commentator in the case, breaks down the key evidence and shocking conspiracy theories from the first trial. Then he does a deep dive into how the new trial will be fought by both sides, as well as in the court of public opinion, with new revelations, unanticipated twists, and a storm of suspicion.
Storm Of Suspicion by Kevin Lenihan. The Karen Read Murder Trials delves into one of the most controversial murder cases in recent history—the Karen Read trial. Read, a professor, was accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe. The book meticulously details the events leading up to O’Keefe’s death and the legal proceedings that followed. Lenihan presents various theories, including claims of police corruption and prosecutorial misconduct, allowing readers to form their own conclusions. Storm of Suspicion is a gripping read for those interested in true crime, courtroom drama, and investigative journalism. Lenihan’s book attempts to piece together the key facts, testimonies, and courtroom developments to provide a balanced account of this high-profile legal battle. This book is void of any reality on the actual events of the trial. I’m unclear if the purpose is to have a contrarian viewpoint, simply because there are so few who believe Karen is guilty, but I’d recommend watching the actual upcoming trial. This book was absolute garbage and I question the motive of this author.
Plevin you’re a joke and your book is too. The inaccuracy and bs that you spew with such confidence is confounding. I do not recommend this to anyone. FKR
This guy is an absolute grifter. Since finishing the book, I’ve watched several interviews and all he does is call people names and make untrue accusations. He tries to gaslight people by saying they said stuff they never said. It’s unreal. He’s clearly lost touch with reality.
This book focuses on the death of John OKeefe, a Massachusetts cop who was allegedly run over by his girlfriend Karen Read. There is no video of the car accident and Ms Read hired a California based attorney who came in with a Hollywood movie-type conspiracy theory to cast doubt on the prosecution case. This book details the (significant) evidence against Ms Read and some of the mistakes the prosecution made in the first (mis) trial. The case ultimately created a mob of Read supporters who were fed (and believed) incorrect information and ultimately ended up harassing witnesses and booing the victims family as they went into court. After reading this book I have no doubt she did it. Her mob seems to be rating this book low to try to keep people from wanting to read it but if you have questions about the case you will enjoy this book and leave with your questions answered.

The author admits that he is neither a journalist nor a genius, but is very good at logical analysis. I’m still not really convinced, so I’ll move on to the documentary I’ve copied from the ID channel to see if that gives any clarity. An interesting story that blew up on social media, I’m late to the game it appears. Seems some of the most fervent Karen Read believers have been harassing witnesses in the case. Looking forward to the 2nd trial to see what comes from it.
Kevin gives everyone and everyone a fair shake in this book. It's not a one-sided and biased account pushing an agenda. The honesty is refreshing and his reasoning is simple to follow and understand. I agree with his conclusions and appreciate his lone, objective voice not being intimidated into silence by speaking the facts and the truth. Thank you, Kevin. I'd love to read more books written by you.
This guy is a poor excuse for an author and an even worse person. He is a con-artist grifter, who now leads a group of degenerate, angry, trolls who harass and insult the jurors in this case because they didn’t agree with him. If you want to support an excuse-making troll with a damaged ego, buy this book. It is valuable as a paper weight or if you need extra fuel for a garbage fire. This is exploitation of a tragedy for monetary gain and worst of all, he’s wrong.
This guy is a joke. He spewed his rhetoric about what he knows happened, when he really seems like he doesn’t have a clue. He is so biased against Karen Read and the defense team, but yet they prevailed in the second trial. He missed a lot of critical information in the first trial that was mentioned in the second trial, he just neglected to put it in his book. Why? Because perhaps that would substantiate some of the defenses conspiracy theories? Most likely. Not impressed.
Outstanding read! The truth be told!! Refreshing to see critical thinking skills and logic exercised!! Thanks for giving a voice to the people who saw right through FKR!
