One night. One mistake. One deal that changes everything.

Isla Scott never expected to run into Aiden Camden in Las Vegas. As her brother’s best friend—and a billionaire CEO with zero interest in romance—he’s the last person she should be tangled up with. But a night of too much tequila and too little judgment leaves them waking up to a mistake neither of them knows how to fix.

She tells herself it was a one-time lapse in judgment but leaving it behind isn’t so easy. Thanks to a string of promises made under the influence, Isla finds herself roped into hosting a high-profile travel documentary—one that’s already been pitched to a network with Aiden as its key investor. Now, with contracts signed and cameras rolling, she and Aiden are stuck traveling from Paris, Texas, to Paris, France, pretending they don’t have unfinished business.

Their attraction has always been off-limits, but forced proximity makes it impossible to ignore. But with every city, every stolen glance, and every moment spent too close, Isla and Aiden are faced with a question neither is ready to answer—was their night in Vegas just a mistake, or the beginning of something real?

Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy romance, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.

When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel.

I am a sucker for all things forced proximity, for long stares, forbidden love with a brother’s best friend, and sprinkle a marriage on top of it. Ekkk the perfect ingredients for a travel romance!

One Time in Paris ARC Review

3.75⭐️
2.5🌶️

I will start by saying that I love a good accidental marriage, especially if it happens in Vegas. It’s so appropriately stereotypical and its truly one of my favorite tropes.

As for the overall plot, I enjoyed the reality show angle and how it connects both of the characters. I did think that Aiden was going to be more involved in the actual show than he ended up being and I feel like that would have progressed the plot in a more seamless way.

The subplot with Isla, Aiden and their marriage brough some good drama but dragged a little during the last ⅓ of the book. As for the characters they were good overall, but there were certain small moments made them seem more antagonistic than I felt that it needed to.

The way the story wrapped up was very appropriate though and it made sure to close up any loose ends that occurred throughout the story.

What it’s about…
The last person Isla Scott thought she would bump into in Vegas was Aiden Camden. Aka her brother’s best friend, billionaire CEO and zero romantic interest. He is the last person she should be mixing with but one night left her waking up next to him with no recollection of how they got there.

Both think they will be able to leave this one time lapse in judgement in the past, however that is easier said than done. During their hazy night Isla agreed to host a travel documentary and Aiden agreed to be an investor.

Is this a mistake they can both come back from? How do they fix something neither of them can remember? Could this turn into something real?

My thoughts…
This was a very cute read, the focus is more on the story, minimal spice with a couple of open door scenes but found it more suggestive than in your face details. The interaction between the characters and building the world they live in and the connections between them all.
This was the third book in the Wanderlust series but you can definitely be read as a standalone book. I enjoyed the writing style as it was very easy to read.

I had no clue there were so many places called Paris. The TV show concept was quite cool. There is friendship and sibling drama the characters work through but I wouldn’t say any of them were annoying or created drama for the sake of the story. Each bit that arose it was quite easy to see how the characters got there.

The only reason this book didn’t make it to a 4 star for me was because it wouldn’t be a re-read book for me but this was my first book by Annabelle McCormack and I will be looking to read some of her other books.

This is the third book in the Wanderlust series. It can be read as a standalone, but the characters from the first two books (See You Next Fall and He Loves Me Knot) do appear in this book.

Isla wakes up in bed with Aiden, a long-time family friend/her brother’s best friend. Neither of them can remember how they got there. She does the walk of shame and hopes they can just forget about it- until Aiden receives a marriage license in the mail from the state of Nevada. Plus, she agreed to host a travel show that will showcase all the cities in the U.S. named Paris and Aiden agreed to fund it.

I really enjoyed this story. It definitely is my favorite of the three books.

Aiden is the British CEO of the family business- a title he never asked for and finds extremely stressful. Isla is living in Costa Rica and is running the inn her brother owns. As the two of them see each other on the different stops in the show, their relationship grows. There are obstacles in their way, though, and which they need to overcome.

Read this if you like:

I received an ARC of this book, which does not affect my review. Thank you to the author and Booksirens for the chance to read this book.

Having finished this author’s romantasy only days ago, I eagerly landed on this. It is a standalone but in an interconnected series, and while it isn’t fantasy in the slightest, the romance comes back full force between Isla and Aiden. There is history between Isla and Aiden as Aiden was Isla’s brother’s friend when they were children. But it still feels like a shocking meeting when they run into each other in Vegas when Isla is on a bachelorette trip. You would think the book was set in Paris, but it’s actually about how many places are Paris spin-offs which was pretty interesting. I knew about Vegas, I didn’t know about some others.

After a lapse in memory due to a shady and hazy night, Isla and Aiden have apparently gone full in on a travel documentary that explores six places in Paris, one per episode. This causes a little bit of tension between Isla and her brother, Callum, and it also throws Isla and Aiden into a project neither would have expected. Even more shocking? They might have accidentally gotten married in Vegas.

For the most part this was a lighthearted romance with a sprinkle of drama and a whole lot of messes Isla and Aiden have to get themselves out of. I wasn’t as interested in the plot as I was in the plot of Carved in Crimson, but that is also a personal genre preference. When there is no fantasy or very high stakes going on, I just can’t seem to get as into the novel as I would want. For that reason, my rating hovers around a 3.5, but I round it up because for people who like travel romance, accidental marriages, and billionaire CEOs, among other tropes, this could be just the right read. I also did not fully connect with Isla as she had a habit of making not so great choices and embarrassing herself a lot by getting drunk, which made her seem a little immature. Also, a lot of the character conflicts were quickly brushed aside or ended quickly, which worked at times, but others it felt like they went from being annoyed to happy and flirty back to mad back to happy and flirty again. However, I became more invested in the lie Aiden was keeping from Callum as the book went on, and while the stakes weren’t massive I suppose, I was so nervous about what would happen when Callum found out.

Everything turns out well, which I expected, but even if nothing felt very unpredictable, I enjoyed the ride. I thought it was sweet how they ended up in actual Paris, France. The moment when Aiden showed Isla the picture he drew of them as kids was so cute. I thought it was such a happy ending. So if you love travel romance, a little bit of drama, and a not very unpredictable but still very satisfying and romantic plot with a HEA, you will love this. And for those like me who were not aware of how many cities are called Paris, you might learn a thing or two as well!

One Time In Paris 🍾
Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Annabelle McCormack for trusting me with this ARC!💚
Isla finds herself married to her brother's best friend after a crazy night in Las Vegas. The only problem? She doesn't know it.
However, what she knows is that after many tequila shots she agreed into hosting a high-profile travel documentary that actually involves Aiden too.
Ouf,what a crazy start!

GUYS THIS WAS SO CUTE!!
If you want a book that feels like an early 2000s rom-com,here you have it:One Time In Paris ⭐.

To start with,I loved the starting idea so much!Like from the summary to first chapters my attention was already catched.
We follow such a funny story that starts in Vegas-and spoiler alert it did not stayed here!It was so relaxing and entertaining, that you can dive into really easily without too much energy, making it perfect for those last hot September days. The characters were so plesant to read, not something that we have not seen, but as I will always the classics are going to be a hit always.
There is Aiden our hot billionare and Isla who is such a cutie pie!
I loved seeing her on the page a lot,due to her beautiful energy & hillarious personality.-she will really make you smile even after the worst day!For our man as I said he is a c l a s s i c,and oh boy,I have missed it!

To continue with,we have a slow burn romance going on,but I cannot particulary say our couple was 'in' since page 1,something that made me wonder why until that last 20% that changed EVERYTHING.Reading that part of the book not only will fulfil all your whys but also make you give that 5 star raiting. From the brother's reaction-that was so wholesome-to some really beautiful confessions that happened.
My heart was so full after that.💗

As you can see,One Time In Paris,is an amusing rom-com full of love, trips & secrets.

This was such a fun travel romance! One Time in Paris is the third book in Annabelle McCormack’s Wanderlust series, but honestly, you don’t need to read the others first—I jumped in here and had no problem following along.

We’ve got Isla (former actress) + Aiden (billionaire CEO), who also happens to be her brother’s best friend and childhood friend. The slow burn between them had me hooked, and the forced proximity setup with them working on a travel documentary was perfect. I especially loved how the story explored all the different “Parises” around the world—each place had its own vibe, quirks, and little dramas, which made the whole book feel like an adventure.

The chemistry and banter between Isla and Aiden was so entertaining, and the “What happens in Vegas” thread added a playful, slightly messy layer. The family dynamics in this one are also huge—lots of warmth, but also plenty of drama, secrets, and lies. At times, those secrets did feel a bit repetitive, but they definitely kept the tension high.

Overall, it’s a quick, fun, and romantic read with the perfect mix of wanderlust, angst, and swoon. If you like brother’s best friend, childhood friends-to-lovers, or just want a story that feels like escaping on an adventure with a side of drama, this one’s worth picking up.

Isla and Aiden's story began a night they can't even remember. They've known each other for a long time, but their families will be angry when they find out what happened on their trip. As time goes on, it seems their relationship will never come to light.

Will they be able to tell their secret without hurting their families? Will their mistake be what they truly want?

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas doesn't apply here.

A lighthearted story that keeps you thinking about the characters and what will happen in the end. I must say there were times when Isla drove me crazy, but I think her doubts made her more human, and I could connect with her.

This is my first time reading this author, and I'd like to read her other books.

What a fun read! My first book out of the Wanderlust series and I got a little confused by the relationship crossovers at a point since I haven't read the other books but I eventually caught on! I enjoyed the romance between Aiden and Isla and loved the dual POV. There were a lot of fun tropes and the book made stakes feel high while also not being as intense as the romantasy books I'm used to reading where it's literally life or death. I also enjoyed the spin on exploring the Paris's across the world, there's a few cities like that! (Did you know there's a Lisbon, MD??) I can't wait to read more of Annabelle's books!

One Time in Paris is cute and charming with some great characters. The chemistry and romance between the main characters was wonderful. I loved their back stories and common childhood moments. Some of the time it felt like a story of rich people behaving like rich people with endless funds. There are many characters with lots of connections, but it also seemed true to close knit friends and families. There were many laugh out loud moments and some terribly swoony moments. There were also some open door bedroom moments that I skimmed over. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and plan to read more by the author in the future!

✅ This is a great book for anyone who enjoys -
• books/genre - contemporary romance, spicy romance & travel romance
• themes/tropes - brothers best friend, billionaire, childhood friends to lovers, hidden romance & found family

‼️Please keep in mind this book includes -
• open door spice scenes & strong language

✧ SUMMARY ✧

[One Time in Paris is the 3rd book of the ‘Wanderlust Contemporary Romances’ - an interconnected travel series. Each book can be read as a standalone however, in order to have the best understanding of the intermingled relationships/family dynamics I’d definitely suggest reading them all]

~

One Time in Paris is a contemporary travel romance filled with a tangled web of family drama, secrets & spice. Centred around a complicated ‘brother’s best friend’ situation, childhood friends Isla (FMC) & Aiden’s (MMC) ‘will they, won’t they’ relationship has ups, downs, & everything in between. Alongside the MC’s, the side characters also make up a huge part of the plot adding chaos, humour & emotion. If you enjoy a tension filled, emotional, spicy love story then One Time in Paris is for you.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

✧ OPINIONS ✧

I really enjoyed this book. Annabelle’s writing was immersive & engaging & she certainly threw us in at the deep end! A strong start sets a precedent that many books struggle to carry through to the end however that definitely wasn’t the case here, it was entertaining & engaging throughout.

When it came to the characters, I loved the mix of friends, relatives by marriage & blood relations. The close bond(s) allowed for some hilariously sarcastic, witty banter & as someone who loves a good found family vibe, this was my favourite part of the book.

The fast changing locations kept things fresh & exciting. Each Paris brought its own set of unique circumstances so I was always anticipating what might happen next.

~

One thing I didn’t enjoy was how Isla treated Davy during their falling out. It was confusing, extreme & didn’t match up to how their friendship had been portrayed throughout the book. I understand the falling out was needed for the plot but a less cut throat reaction would’ve made more sense.

I also would’ve loved to have seen more of what happened after Quinn & Liddy’s party. I really wish the Scotland chapter would’ve been longer. It showed a softer, more vulnerable side of the guys’ relationship & to not explore it further felt like a missed opportunity. Same with the events in Paris, France. When you’ve waited the whole book for an outcome & it seems to come & go in a flash, it’s a little disappointing but it was still a great ending!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book & I look forward to the next in the series😍

Annabelle has done it again with an amazing travel romance and I love this series so much! I love getting to visit places I've never been alongside the characters, especially because I'm not such a big traveller myself. This one was extra travelly too because so much of the book was set away from their homes of England and Costa Rica (although yes Costa Rica would still be a cool foreign setting for most people, we explored there a lot in book 2). This time we of course focused on Paris, but not the one you might expect. We got to travel to and through many small-town American Parises that even most Americans probably haven't visited, and we did of course get a brief glimpse at the beautiful original Paris too. I had no idea there were so many Parises in America! We visited I think 4 and there were definitely more talked about. I loved getting to see them all though and the fact that they all (or at least the ones we visited) have an Eiffel Tower and their unique takes on it.
I loved the overall story of this, the way that Isla and Aiden (both characters we already know and love) happened to be in Vegas at the same time for a night that neither remembers at all and then end up on this tour of Parises because they're good people and want to keep the drunken promises they made to her friend Davy that night and everything that unfolds from there. I adore all our intertwined families in this series, the Camdens, Winnicks and Scotts and how close they all are (the friendships and sibling relationships, not just the romantic ones) and it was so good to see everyone again in one way or another.
This book is an interconnected standalone but we do meet and get a lot of backstory for both Isla and Aiden in the previous books with Aiden's brother the MMC in book 1 and Isla's brother the MMC of book 2. It also meant I already adored them both before even starting this book, and although after the end of book 2 I was expecting a different MMC for Isla I could easily see how her and Aiden would make a super cute couple! Isla did annoy me a little bit at times though with the way she handled certain things and especially with her brother Callum, but I do at least understand her motivations behind it.
I'd definitely recommend reading these in order just so you don't get spoilers and get to know everyone because the characters are all so amazing. I can't wait for Kyle's story next (again not what I would have expected) and apparently it's coming out in December?! So soon!

1.5⭐️

This book wasn’t for me, but I can see how another reader might like it more than I did. I picked it up and put it down several times in the first five chapters, choosing to read other books and coming back, and I should have seen the writing on the wall and DNFed (but alas my toxic trait is that I can’t DNF). While this is marketed as an interconnected standalone, I went into this one without reading the others in the series and felt lost on more than one occasion. There are so many side characters who were introduced in previous books, and they are all major players — it took more effort than I was expecting to keep everyone straight. I also didn’t love the OW and OM drama, the fact that miscommunication and lying were a major trope (I wouldn’t have picked it up had I known it would be the entire plot) and that there was an OTT dramatic third act breakup in a story where they’re already married. A lot of my opinions are definitely personal preference things, but I didn’t enjoy the reading experience with this one.

Isla (FMC) and Aiden (MMC) have been friends since childhood, but he feels more loyalty toward her brother because they are *best* friends. They get married during an intoxicated night out in Vegas, and only find out once they return home. Isla has changed her career but feels stuck in a job she isn’t sure she wants due to family loyalty, and Aiden is running his family business only because his brother bowed out. He doesn’t mind his work, but it isn’t as fulfilling as it could be. Now they are working together on a travel show (that has turned into a reality show) and as the lies and miscommunication start building it’s a matter of when, not if, everything collapses.

While I won’t be continuing this series, I wonder if my rating would be bumped up to a 2⭐️ *if* I had read the other books in the series prior to this one and actually understood the cast of characters going in. The romance is cast to the side in this one in favor of family, friend, and OW/OM drama, and that doesn’t really work for me personally in a romance.

Thank you to Annabelle McCormack & Love Notes PR for trusting me with an ARC of One Time In Paris to review.

One Time In Paris is an emotionally layered & heartfelt romance that beautifully captures the tension & chemistry between 2 people who are trying hard not to fall for each other (& failing!!)
Aiden & Isla run into each other randomly in Vegas & after what could be described as a ‘series of unfortunate events’ their time in Vegas is over but they leave being ‘tied’ together in more ways than one & realising that their feelings run deeper than the friendship bond they have always had, given that their families have grown up together. Aiden is one of Isla’s brothers - Callum’s best friend.
A travel documentary which is going to showcase American towns with replica Eiffel Towers brings Aiden & Isla together professionally, (well they did come up with the idea with her best friend Davy after a few too many drinks in the lights from the Vegas ‘Eiffel Tower’) her as a presenter & he as a key investor. He visits the sites where they are filming under the guise of checking in on his investment, but reality is he’s there to see & spend time with Isla.
They know that the news that they are dating will not be met with well wishes by Callum in particular, so they hold off – until things escalate & the narrative is no longer theirs’s to control. They know what they have is real though, so don’t back down – maybe just kind of step sideways for a bit, while feelings & families come to grips with this new dynamic.
I so enjoyed One Time In Paris & can highly recommend. I couldn’t put it down, I loved seeing how the relationships with each other & the other characters developed, changed & somewhat were reinvented throughout the course of the story.

Thank you again to @annabellemcCormack & @lovenotes.pr for the ARC of One Time In Paris to review.

This is the third book in this series and I don’t think you HAVE to read the previous two books but it would significantly help with all the side characters. I’ve read both of the previous books but it’s been over a year and I’ve since had to refresh my memory about the previous stories because I had forgotten who was who.

During the first half of the book, I didn’t feel any type of connection between Aiden and Isla. I almost put this book down at that point with doubts that I would connect any kind of romance in this story. Then once the door opens to their connection, we find it suddenly ramp up. However, the lying and hiding their relationship from their family dragged on and on and at times I just literally wanted to scream at the way they handled telling her brother and his best friend about their relationship.

I really disliked how Isla handled every interaction with her best friend Davy, her brother and putting so much pressure on Aiden to resist talking to her brother and then holding it against him when all of their family is upset with him.

I am never a fan of the lying trope and it was used at such an alarming rate that it just soured the romance for me. I just wanted their romance to focus more on how they would make it work with their current professions and living in different countries and remove so much of the drama of lying.

Individually, Isla had some personal growth that she needed to focus on. She seemed so lost. I felt Aiden fell for her first and I could forgive most of his behavior.

Overall, a little disappointed but I think there are some good things in this story. I’ll be interested in seeing how the focus on Kyle is written in the next book in this series.

One Time in Paris is the third book in Annabelle McCormick's Wanderlust series.
It was a fantastic book that started out with a Vegas Whoopsie but took a totally unexpected route to the ending. It touches on quite a few tropes, including billionaire main character; slow burn; forced proximity and brother's best friend. However, my favorite is childhood friends to lovers/soulmates. The main action of the story involves the filming of a travel documentary that highlights different towns named Paris. Isla is a semi-retired actress who agrees to host the limited series as a favor to her best friend, Davy. Funding the project is Aiden, her brother's best friend who has decided to keep a close physical eye on the filming.
There are so many twists and turns in this story that I was completely engaged! Isla and Aiden are both unhappy with the state of their lives and their current situations. Annabelle writes well-crafted realistic characters who grow emotionally through introspection and rectifying their missteps. Her main characters are surrounded with supporting characters that have significant importance and influence. One Time in Paris can be read as a stand-alone, but the story is interwoven with the characters from the previous books in the series. Reading them is not necessary, but it can add a layer of understanding when reading this book.
One Time in Paris delivered all the feels and I was cheering for Aiden and Isla despite their flaws and stubbornness. I know there is another Wanderlust book in the future and I am eagerly waiting to read it!
I received an advance reader copy and am leaving a voluntary review based solely on my reading experience.

This was a cute and sometimes funny travel romance, it had likeable characters and side characters the main thing I struggled with was the lies piling up on lies. I felt that Isla shouldn't have put Aiden in the position to not be able to tell his friend about them when he wanted to, I get she didn't feel it was her brother's business but the more people who found out led to it more likely to come out to the brother at a bad time... Isla here got in her own way and caused a lot of her own problems by wanting to hide such a big secret and then having Aiden also hide it so she could figure out "the right time" to tell her brother.

The book spends a lot of time with the miscommunication/no communication trope and again I found myself getting upset with our leads for not just telling everyone already they are all adults if their friends/family are truly supportive they will support their choice to be together as well.

I enjoyed the travel show aspect and it was a fun way for the characters to interact in different cities called Paris across the US which caused problems for production since most of the cities were small with not much going on... then finally Paris France.

One Time in Paris ARC Review

i was very fortunate to receive an ARC of One a time in Paris by Annabelle McCormack from LoveNotesPR, thank you so much!! ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️/5

“you’re the brightest spot in my life, yes, but not because there’s nothing else.”

this was my first time reading anything by annabelle and i honestly had no idea what was waiting for me on the other side. anabelle’s writing absolutely blew me away, it kept me engaged from beginning to end!! and when it came to the characters, i thoroughly enjoyed the mix of friends and relatives by marriage/blood relations. while one time in paris is the third book of a series of interconnected standalone, i do feel i would have benefited from reading the other books as previous characters appeared multiple times throughout this book. however, i felt it was easy to figure out who was who and the guide annabelle provides in the beginning was very helpful!

isla and aiden share a drunken night in vegas and well, now they have to figure out if their one night in vegas was just that, one night, or the beginning of something more. from the very beginning, the tension between them was undeniable and their chemistry was electric. even though they both try to fight their attraction for each other, they were inevitable. i loved seeing their bond slowly grow the more time they spent together.

i can’t wait to see what annabelle does next and once again thank you so much to lovenotespr and annabelle mccormack for providing me with this arc ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 stars)

Tropes galore in this instalment of the Wanderlust series: billionaire romance (with the twist of a defence contractor CEO), childhood friends to lovers, brother’s best friend, forced proximity, slow burn spice, and of course—the classic “What happens in Vegas…” moment.

This one follows Isla and Aiden, who wake up in Vegas after a tequila-fuelled night with a surprise neither quite knows how to handle. What starts as a hilarious “oops” situation quickly evolves into a travel documentary deal that has them journeying from Paris, Texas, to Paris, France—with all the tension, stolen glances, and unspoken feelings simmering along the way.

I hadn’t read the earlier books in the Wanderlust series, and while this works fine as a standalone, I suspect long-time fans will get an extra spark seeing Aiden and Isla’s relationship unfold. Their chemistry is undeniable, the banter fun, and the mix of glamorous travel settings with heartfelt family dynamics makes for a breezy, romantic escape.

That said, I did find the billionaire angle a little on-the-nose at times, and the slow burn occasionally drifted into too slow. But overall, this was a charming, fun read that will delight fans of contemporary travel romances with plenty of heat and heart.

✨ Tropes you’ll find: billionaire romance, travel adventure, brother’s best friend, friends-to-lovers, forced proximity, “my wife” vibes, and a dash of Vegas chaos.

Love story, confused young woman, adventure, and family bonds. Isla travels to Las Vegas with her friends for Bachelorette weekend, only to find herself in a situation she can't explain. Aiden (Isla's brother bf) just so happens to be there on a business trip. Lola Aiden's ex is also there. One drunken night causes them to awake in the same bed with no rememberance of the night before. (This is why alcohol should be forbidden. You should always be in control.) They both agreed to a buisness deal with Davy (Isla bf) that they can't back out of. Even though Davy reacted without confirming.

Weeks later, Aiden finds out they are married when a marriage license is mailed to him. How does he tell his bf Callum that he married his sister with rememberance of it? Aiden tells Isla she is his wife. Unbeknown to them both, there are feelings the other didn't know existed, and its getting hard to hide. Are these feelings real or fake?

Im not quite into all the drama Isla brings on herself. Nor do I like the lying they do. The worst thing you can do is lie to the family who loves you. Isla is a people pleaser, never being honest with herself. While I do wish for her and Aiden to be together, it seems complicated. On a lighter note, I had no idea there were so many Paris's in the USA. Reminded me of the movie The Wrong Paris, filmed in Paris Texas. This whole story seems like something for reality TV.

This book revisits the Wanderlust Series, this time focusing on Aiden and Isla. Childhood friends who wake up in Vegas in a hilarious “uh-oh” moment! These two have always had a close relationship because Isla’s brother Callum is Aiden’s best friend! I really enjoyed the references to their relationship growing up. Aiden always seemed to have a soft spot for Isla but that friendship grew into an undeniable attraction and chemistry that was off the charts.

There is a lot of family drama, as with most brothers best friend trope! But this one gets even more complicated with the other family connections tying the Camden, Winnick and Scott families together! What a tangled web! This one is technically an interconnected standalone but I do think you would get the most enjoyment out of this story if you have the backstory of all the other family members involved.

This was a fun travel romance that took the characters to many of the “Paris” locations across the world. Annabelle did a great job of creating the scene and painting the Paris imagery of each distinct town.

One Time in Paris was not your typical romcom even though it has so many of my favorite tropes. Brother’s best friend, a swoony billionaire, “my wife”, childhood friends to lovers, family drama, and a bit of spice!

This has been my fave of the series but I can’t wait for Kyle’s story!

I always look forward to her novels! I always enjoy the storylines, the characters, the little bit of steamy to add to the drama and how they always end. Isla and Aiden have known each other since childhood and their families are all friends. So when Isla goes to Vegas for a bachelorette party and runs into Aiden, they have no idea what that night will cause. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas and this time Vegas brought with it a long string of commitments that Isla can't recall. Agreeing to not back out of this supposed commitment, she decides to help her friend get this Paris travel documentary filmed, however they need some funding and none other than Aiden had also agreed to fund this adventure. As they travel from Paris to Paris around the US, they both realize this wasn't at all what they thought it was going to be and meanwhile both are keeping secrets from the other and their friends and family members. But as the end of the documentary is nearing and the last of the filming is supposed to be done in actual Paris at a family event, the truth of what happened that night gets exposed and Aiden and Isla must now decide is this all real and what does each want in their future. I loved this idea of visiting different "Paris" cities in the US. Thank you to the author for the complementary novel. This review is of my own opinion and accord.

One Time in Paris

★☆☆☆☆

Thank you to Annabelle and Love Notes PR for the ARC!

I’m not gonna lie, I really struggled to finish this one 🥲 Had I known it leaned heavily on miscommunication + OW/OM drama, I probably would’ve hesitated to pick it up, because miscommunication is one of my least favorite tropes—and it ran almost the entire book.

Since this was described as an interconnected standalone, I went in expecting to follow Isla and Aiden’s love story without much background. But honestly, I felt a little lost. The previous books seem to play such a huge role here, and as someone who hasn’t read them, I kept getting thrown into plots and characters I wasn’t familiar with. Because of that (plus the extra OW/OM drama), Isla and Aiden’s romance felt overshadowed. There were so many opportunities to dive deeper into their relationship and character development, but it didn’t quite happen.

On top of that, there was a LOT of lying throughout the story. I don’t even know if “lying” counts as a trope, but it felt big enough here to really affect my reading experience. That plus the miscommunication made it hard for me to stay connected.

I really, really wanted to love this book 🥹 but in the end, I just couldn’t fully connect to it the way I hoped.

Isla and Aiden find themselves tangled in lies, secrets, constant forced proximity, and loads of family drama. Isla's loyalty to her best friend has them jetsetting to multiple Paris cities in the U.S. and even a trip or two across to Paris, France. This slow burn travel romance will have you laughing and longing for Isla and Aiden to realize there are sparks in their relationship. Maybe not everything that happens in Vegas should be forgotten in Vegas. This story will warm your heart and have you biting your nails anxious for their HEA.

This story made me feel like I was traveling along with this amazing cast to characters as conflicts and messy family dynamics unfold. I could not put it down and found myself reading well into the night, which turned into early morning.

One Time is Paris is the fourth book in the Wanderlust Series, which can be read as a stand-alone. However, I would recommend reading the whole series for maximum pleasure. Be sure to add One Time in Paris to the top of your TBR, you will love it.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Great addition to this series of standalone romantic comedies
Honestly, it has been a while since I read Ms. McCormack’s last book in this series so I do not remember how much angst was in it, but this one has a lot! Between the lies being told mainly to avoid hard feelings and a secret marriage that even the participants were unaware of, there is a considerable amount of drama, which makes the ending even more wonderful.
Isla and Aiden have a lot in common. They are busy with their respective jobs All The Time! Little time to relax before beginning the day all over again. They have grown up together so to Aiden and his three brothers, Isla is more like a little sister than anything else, until Las Vegas and one drunken and maybe drugged-by-accident night. Thus begins the trials and tribulations of this new couple. Lots of secondary characters too, one of whom is Kyle Winnick who gets his own book next. He is so laid back; I cannot wait to see what turmoil the author puts him through and how he handles it. I volunteered to review an ARC of “One Time In Paris” through BookSirens and it comes recommended for lovers of the Rom-Com genre.

Although this is the third book in this interconnected series (Wanderlust series), this is the first book written by Annabelle McCormack I’ve read.
I have to say that this is a standalone but I really recommend reading in order to enjoy the experience.
This book follows Aiden and Isla. He’s her brother’s best friend and after a crazy night in Vegas, you can imagine what happened.
Thins I like about this book: once the slow burn let you see their relationship, how their love blooms it was good to see, but I have to say, the miscommunication trope gets on my nerves!
But the “‘my wife” moment, I really like them.

Tropes you can find in this book:
- billionaire romance
- Brother’s best friend
- Childhood Friends to lovers
- Slow burn
- 3rd person POV
- Accidental marriage
- Forced proximity
- Miscommunication

This book is an open-door example and I think after the slow burn, the spicy scenes were fresh air at last!!😮‍💨

My ratings:
3,5/5⭐️
2/5🌶️

I’ve received this book as an ARC and I’d like to thank Annabelle McCormack and her team at Love Notes PR for letting me read this book in advance and allow me to give my honest opinion.

Thank you to the author and Love Notes PR for the gifted copy. 💕

I’ll be honest, this one started a little slow for me and I wasn’t sure if it was going to click. But about a quarter of the way through, it really picked up, and by the halfway point I couldn’t put it down. I even stayed up late reading because I had to know how Isla and Aiden’s story would unfold.

We meet Isla and Aiden, who have known each other since they were kids—her brother Callum just happens to be Aiden’s best friend. When Isla and Aiden cross paths in Vegas, one alcohol-fueled night changes everything. Now Isla is pulled into a reality TV show with her best friend Davy, and guess who’s the investor? Aiden. Cue the sparks, the tension, and the journey from Paris to Paris to Paris.

One of the things I loved the most was how sassy Isla was, especially in her back-and-forth with Aiden.

Tropes:

👫 Brother’s Best Friend
🥂 Vegas Night
📺 Reality TV Setting
🧳 Wanderlust / Travel Romance
🏠 Forced Proximity
💕 Sass + Heart

If you love slow-burn, travel-filled romances with great character growth and banter, this one is worth adding to your TBR!

One Time in Paris is the third book in The Wanderlust interconnected standalone series by Annabelle McCormack. This book follows CEO Aiden Camden and actress turned resort manager Isla Scott. These 2 grew up as childhood friends and Aiden is also Isla's brothers best friend. A chance encounter in Las Vegas brings these 2 together and after a night they can't remember they are married and involved in filming a travel documentary.

I wanted to love this travel romance as much as the first book in the series but it is so laden with miscommunication, secrets and compounding lies that I was left frustrated wanting to shake some sense into the characters. When the MCs opened up a little and they started to realise they did want a relationship I started to enjoy it more and there are a few well written open door steamy scenes. The ending did leave me smiling though and I definitely plan to read book 4 to see Kyle's HEA.
Thank you to the author and Love Notes PR for the ARC in exchange for a review.
