Brutal Heir is the epitome of forced proximity mafia romance. Rory ran from a forced marriage and escaped Ireland to New York. For the past year she’s been working as a traveling nurse, but hasn’t been able to find a permanent work. Alessandro is home from the hospital after surviving an explosion that left half his body scarred from the fire. Rory is hired as Ale’s live in nurse by his father. She is a take no sh!t from anyone kind of girl, but Ale isn’t used to someone standing up to him like that. There is instant attraction and the banter is delicious. She helps with his healing changing bandages and even daily sponge baths creating lots of tension. Ale is forced to go back to his club, The Velvet Vault, and figure out who is stealing. Rory tries to fight her feelings when things begin to heat up between them because she doesn’t want to fall back into the world she ran away from. It’s a slow burn that pays off with steamy kisses that quickly leads to fantastic spice. Rory’s past comes back and threatens the peace they’ve been able to find in each other. Secrets come to the surface and they both fight with all they’ve got for each other. The banter and nicknames were hilarious. I always enjoy when the mmc is the vulnerable one healing and leans on the fmc to help him. This is everything you want in a mafia romance.

Thank you to Grey’s Promo & Sienna Cross for the ARC.

A Few Favorite Quotes:
“I feel like a king, reclaiming his throne with fire in his blood and a Celtic goddess at his side.”

“No one touches her. Ever again. Do you understand?” His voice is low and deadly, and Jesus, Mary and Joseph, it does something illegal to my insides.”

“But I swear to God, if she’s hurt, if she’s scared, or if she even thinks for a second that she’s alone, I’ll burn down the city to prove her wrong.”

“Mmm, my naughty little leprechaun,” he whispers against my mouth. “Is your pussy already wet for me?”

“I guess we’re two halves of the same wrecked soul, cracked in different places, but somehow we fit.”

“We’ll go for a little while, but as soon as that clock strikes midnight, I’m bringing you home. So that I can spend the first hours of the new year making you come on my cock.”

Rory escaped from her own country of Ireland and never looked back. Her family handed her over to a monster and it was up to her to get away.

Now living in the United States, Rory has a taken a temporary nursing position caring for the cousin of the young intern she met at the hospital.

Alessandro is the heir to the Gemini “corporation”, in common terms, mafia.

Alessandro was burned terribly and isn’t himself anymore. He’s no longer the most gorgeous man in the room everywhere he goes, as his burn scars illicit nothing but pity in the eyes of women and definitely not fear and respect in the eyes of men.

Rory isn’t afraid of Alessandro and with a sharp tongue mixed with compassion she helps him to heal more than just his body. Will he be able to do the same for her?

This was a five star romance that kept me awake until it was finished. Mild spice.

This series is getting better with each book, and honestly, this one has become my favorite so far! We learned from the last book that Ale faced a near-death experience in an explosion while trying to save his cousin Sienna. This book dives into his journey of healing, both physically and mentally. To help him out, his father hires Rory as his live-in nurse, but Ale is not thrilled about it and wants her to quit. However, Rory is fiery, sassy, and determined to show him just how much he needs her assistance.

Ale is the heir to the Gemini Empire. Before the accident, he was a playboy who loved to party and had a great sense of humor. But after the explosion left him scarred, he shut himself off from the world, becoming bitter and angry. He pushes away his family, including his sister and cousins. Meanwhile, Rory has her own story—she escaped from a life where she was trapped, and her father arranged for her to marry a heartless, evil man. Changing her identity, she becomes a temporary nurse and lands a job taking care of Ale after meeting his cousins.

Their relationship starts a bit rocky. Ale wants nothing more than for her to leave, but Rory is determined to stick around. At first, he’s rude and snappy, yet Rory holds her ground and isn’t intimidated at all. She challenges him, speaking her mind without hesitation. Slowly but surely, they build a friendship that blossoms into something deeper. I adored how they became each other's support systems, embracing vulnerability and fighting for their love. Rory helps Ale find his way back to the light, while Ale shows Rory she’s cherished, loved, and safe.

I also loved getting to know the Valentino and Rossi families! They are such a close-knit group, always willing to do anything for one another. Their devotion and support for each other are incredibly heartwarming. The cousin crew, in particular, stole my heart with their unwavering love and loyalty. I was thrilled that Rory became part of their family and how they welcomed her from the start. Overall, this book was a delightful read with amazing characters. The romance is sweet and heart-melting, the action will definitely keep you on your toes, the sense of found family is so touching, and the spice is off the charts!

“ 𝙄'𝙈 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙄𝙈𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘼 𝙁𝙐𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙊𝙉𝙇𝙔 𝙒𝙊𝙈𝘼𝙉 𝙒𝙃𝙊'𝙎 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙈𝘼𝘿𝙀 𝙈𝙀 𝙁𝙀𝙀𝙇 𝙒𝙃𝙊𝙇𝙀.”

I promise you… as a Belfast girl myself…we aren’t all bad. We are kind people and you don’t need escape the cruelty of our men. Just putting it out there. It seems lately that a lot of authors are using Belfast as a place where the cruelest of the cruel hail from…and as a girl born and raised there…I’m slightly confused as to why ? 😂 but I digress. Even with that little qualm , I still really loved this book. English patient meets beauty and the beast with a Mafia twist? Sign me up!!

This is the 3rd book in the series and CAN be read as a standalone. Any important information from previous books is given when necessary. This story revolves around Rory, our FMC, and Alessandro…our MMC.

Rory is fleeing from Belfast to escape an arranged marriage…she lands in America…assuming a new name, new identity. She becomes a live in nurse and is one day assigned to a patient that will turn her whole life around. Alessandro is recovering from life threatening injuries after an explosion almost takes his life. He’s a strong Mafia king…but the scars and pain left from the accident have left him a shell of his former self. Reclusive…feeling powerless and unworthy of love.

When Rory enters his life as his nurse, he’s angered…angered because he doesn’t think he needs help even though he does. And angered at the feelings that are bubbling up inside him with just her mere presence. The “tiny tyrant” as he affectionately calls her, is making him feel things he thought were long forgotten. And helping him see that he is more than his scars and what happened to him. She reminds him that he’s a powerful man and can’t let others take that from him.

The burn between them is slow and tension filled. Stolen kisses and touches…I was SWOONING 😍😍😍 when they finally exploded together ? Yowza! Hot !! This man is absolutely everything in and out of bed.

Now….what good is a Mafia romance without some drama. And the tiny tyrant brings the drama all the way from Northern Ireland to when her past comes back to find her. Hot on her heels and ready to drag her back kicking and screaming. And if there is one thing you need to know about Alessandro…no one touches what’s his. And Rory is DEFINITELY his.

Now….we do end in a cliffhanger 🤨🤨🤨 RUDE. And now I have to wait a year to get the rest??? EVEN MORE RUDE! 😩😩😩 I need it now!!!

I really loved this book. I can’t wait for the next. I promise…we are kind in Belfast…and just a side note….not everyone from Ireland needs red hair? In fact the majority of people from Belfast / northern Ireland are dark Irish…meaning they have darker hair and features. Just a little bit of trivia for you 🖤

Thank you so much to Sienna Cross and Greys PR for the opportunity to ARC read this amazing book. 🖤

Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Talk about slowwww burn!! But the tension from both characters had me rooting for them to FINALLY kiss!! And it might be just me, but I'm a sucker for a story with no third act break up. The way these characters fought for each other and fought their own demons was so beautiful when you could see them come out the other side.
I LOVED every second of this story. Rory's absolute fiery spirit, and Ale's redemption in that he was more than his scars. I loved watching him fight for Rory the whole time. He never wavered. And it had me SWOONING.

Thank you Sienna Cross and Greys Promotions for an eARC of this book!!

Alessandro! Yall are not ready for him! He’s completely obsessed with Rory, and we are here for it! She’s got a secret past that she’s running from, and doesn’t wanna go back in that world. Just when she starts to fall for Ale maybe his world and her past world can be one and the same.

This was a mafia romance for the books (pun absolutely intended)! From the very first chapter I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Rory is on the run from her psychotic ex-fiancé in Belfast, trying to rebuild her life in America while staying hidden from his reach. Enter Alessandro—a man shattered by a brutal explosion, convinced he’s too broken and unworthy of love.

The way Rory tends to his wounds, both physical and emotional, was such a beautiful part of the story. Their relationship doesn’t just spark—it slowly, tenderly grows, even as both wrestle with their fears of the future. Sienna Cross weaves it all together with perfect pacing and just the right emotional punch.

This book had everything I want in a mafia romance: danger, passion, vulnerability, and two broken people finding a safe haven in each other. Truly one of the best mafia romances I’ve read!

Alessandro’s story is here!! He was wounded and is trying to recover and is really struggling. He needs help but mentally it’s very hard for him - The Cousin Crew to the rescue! They meet the perfect live-in nurse for him.

Rory has been on the run and needs a new job - she wants nothing to do with the mafia life but she finds herself working for Alessandro - and oh do they clash in the best ways!! The tension between them is intense and we get this great slow burn.

The banter and chemistry between them is so good!!! Rory is a snarky spitfire and I absolutely loved her as the FMC. Alessandro needed someone who was strong and who was willing to push back on him and she really stepped up…but she has a huge secret.

I loved how supportive they were of each other and how they both help each other heal. This entire series is so good - I recommend all the books!

Alessandro barely survived the fiery explosion that left him covered in painful scars. He barely recognizes himself, and not just physically. Left questioning his entire life up until that point, all he feels is rage: at himself, at his enemies, and at his family for treating him like an invalid.

Rory is a travelling nurse with a dark past. Having escaped to New York to avoid her own past, the last thing she ever expected was to end up working for a mafia heir.

Both Ale and Rory lay all their demons out on the table, in a way that only the other can see, and when a new threat comes up, both are willing to burn the world to the ground to protect the other.

This was definitely my favourite book out of the series. Watching them both be vulnerable with each other in ways they can’t with anyone else gave it an incredible edge. I was lucky enough to receive an early copy for review, and I highly recommend everyone read it.

Oh how I loved Ale and Rory’s story. There’s something in the unexpected love between two people who shouldn’t love each other that tugs at my heart. People who think they are unlovable who find their person just makes my heart melt. I have loved every second of this book, as I have with every book Sienna writes. Cannot wait for Matteo’s story !

I had fun reading this!! Though the slang and accents were played a little too hard for my liking and for what I felt like was “reality”. Dio, cazzo, merda, eejit, and aye were said so much if I was playing a drinking game of drinking when these were said I would be dead.

Other than this I loved the forced proximity!!! And the way they slowly began to like each other and then into something more. Basically healing parts of themselves through the other. Rory was such a fun FMC to read and Ale was a big simp for her. And then when the tension finally breaks, it was 😩💋👩🏼‍🍳. So I think parts were really good and others just not as good, but not bad??? If that makes sense.

Thank you to greys promotions and sienna cross for the arc! These opinions are my own🫶🏼🫡

Brutal Heir (Ruthless Heirs #3) by Sienna Cross
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️
Interconnected Standalone * Burn Victim * Hidden Identity * Forced Proximity * Dark Romance * Slow Burn * He Falls First * Enemies to Lovers * Mafia * Found Family * Boss x Employee * Hurt/Comfort * PTSD * Grief * Billionaire * Past Trauma Past & SA *  HEA * Beauty & The Beast Vibes * 447 pages * 🎧13h02

While technically a standalone, this book is interconnected with both the "Ruthless Heirs" series and the previous generation’s "Kings of Temptation". Neither is required to enjoy this story on its own. I received an ALC from High Gravity Productions, and the audiobook was beautifully narrated by Tor Thom and a new-to-me female narrator, Chloe Ryan.

This one carries strong Beauty and the Beast vibes. Our FMC is a nurse who moves into the MMC’s home to care for him after he suffers severe burns from a car explosion. I really appreciated how thoughtfully the burns were handled, especially the focus on proper bandage changes and infection prevention. Having experienced second-degree burns myself, this aspect hit particularly close to home. My only small wish was that the cover model showed more visible scarring.

If you’re not a fan of slow burns, be warned, this one EARNS its pacing. Both characters are dealing with deep trauma, and there’s a lot of push and pull before they even kiss. The tension is constant (and honestly unavoidable when your live-in nurse is giving sponge baths). But don’t worry, when the spice finally arrives, it delivers. Bonus points for no third-act breakup. Thank you for that.

Rory, our FMC, is feisty, sharp, completely unapologetic and I adored her. She takes absolutely no nonsense from anyone (including the Irish mafia, which she literally ran from). His nickname for her? 'Tiny Tyrant.' Say less. I love a strong FMC

My one main fault, I found there to be a bit too much use of dialect slang throughout the story. While I appreciate authenticity and regional flavor, it occasionally became overwhelming and pulled me out of the narrative more than once.

One thing to note: there IS a cliffhanger involving other characters, so if you plan to continue the series, the next book isn’t out just yet.

Best one yet!

This is one of my favorite books from Sienna Cross so far! I absolutely loved it!
The banter, the tension, and the desire between Ale and his Tiny Terror was everything! Their relationship had me kicking my feet and smiling through the whole book!

It was also a very emotional ride. Reading Ale's pain and suffering, the way he sees himself as less in the beginning really hurt my heart. He really needed Rory both physically, for his healing, and emotionally. Her support and encouragement towards him were amazing.

I loved Rory! She's a little spitfire! She's opinionated and mouthy!

These two are so opposite, but they go so well together!

And the spice! Although it is a slow burn, Sienna really does write a great spicy scene!

I absolutely loved this book! I'm so thankful i got the opportunity to read it!

In the aftermath of Savage Prince, Alessandro is left picking up the pieces of his broken life as he recovers from burns that leave him both physically and emotionally scarred. That is, until his family hires Rory, a young Irish nurse determined to take care of him. There is undeniable chemistry simmering between him and Rory, but for the sake of his healing and their professionalism, they keep their distance. Still, how long can they resist before falling into the inevitable?

“We’re two halves of the same wrecked soul, cracked in different places, but somehow we fit.”

Oh man, you have no idea how hard it has been to patiently wait on Sienna Cross’s front lawn for this book to drop. I was on the edge since Savage Prince so the stakes were high in this one but of course Brutal Prince was everything you could want and more. healing, resilience, and turning pain into strength, the love between Alessandro and Rory was beautifully written. There wasn’t a single dull moment! What I adored most was how sure they were of each other, how they chose to face their struggles side by side, and how they became one another’s greatest strengths. The trust between them was unshakable.

And Rory? She can hold her own like no other. A perfect fit for the Valentino and Rossi family, she is ready to stand among a long line of strong, determined women. I loved her fiercely, she was the steadfast emotional anchor Alessandro needed…never a damsel in distress, she was a firecracker in her own right. And can I just say, her conviction to fight for Ale was absolute chef’s kiss.

Alessandro, oh my baby boy. He’s been through so much, my heart bled for his pain and suffering from the events of the previous book. His healing journey was a hard one, hands down, but I smiled with pride when he overcame it. He’s beautiful inside and out and no fire or burns is ever going to take that away.

“I want forever with you.”

Shoutout to the cousins crew, because I love them so much and with every book bringing us closer to everyone finding their partners, it makes me giggle with joy that we get to see the new partners integrated into the family. Sienna Cross’s second generation series is one of my favourites, always well done and planned so nicely. You really do grow to love all the cousins and by the time their individual book comes along, you are already deeply invested in their journeys.

Up next will be Matteo and his girl that got away, I just know it’s going to destroy me. Second chance romances pull at my heart strings like no other and with the absolute BOMBSHELL that was dropped in the final sentence of that preview? YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO US! Sienna you better count your days and start typing fast before I start waving a pitchfork (she says in the nicest way possible ILOVEYOUSIENNA).

Brutal Heir is book three in the Ruthless Heirs series and is the story of Allesandro and Rory. This is a mafia, close proximity, patient/nurse romance.

Allessandro was burned badly and nearly killed in an explosion to save his cousin, now he is not the man he once was. The handsome heir to the family's mafia empire is gone and a shell of that man looks Alessandro back in the mirror. Consumed by rage, pain and a hunger for vengeance, Alessandro wants nothing but to be left alone but his family won't let that happen and sends a foul-mouthed, fiery redhead to be his nurse.

Rory is running from her past and never intended to stay in one place for too long but an offer to be a live-in nurse for an angry burn patient gives her stability when she has had none. With a fiery attitude and a foul mouth, Rory meets Allesandro's attitude head on and refuses to back down from his anger. Rory sees what is behind Allesandro's anger and scars, to the man underneath but as his nurse, she cannot act on the desire she feels when looking at him.

I was very happy to read this so soon after I finished Brutal Prince. The family dynamic between the cousin crew is wonderful, their acceptance of one another and the way that they always have the other's backs, no matter what. It is also good to see how the significant others of the cousins are now part of the crew and are just as willing to step up when needed. You can feel Alessandro's anger and hurt at his injuries from the explosion and how his future has been ripped out from under him. His cousins try to be there but they have no true understanding of what he is going through, which is where Rory comes in and excels. As a nurse, Rory has experience with burn patients but she also has the fiery attitude and mouth to put Allesandro in his place and keep him there. The angst and drama of Rory's past brings danger to the Gemini empire and Allesandro will burn the world down to keep Rory by his side.

I thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the series and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves mafia romance with angst, drama, more spice than you can wave a fan at and a well-deserved HEA for a man who though himself broken and unlovable.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

A heroine with backbone, brains, and common sense paired with a prickly broken hero? Say less!

Escaping her wedding to the Butcher of Belfast was supposed to free Rory from the mafia life, but fate has other plans when she becomes Alessandro Rossi’s live-in nurse, who just happens to be the heir to the mafia...

Scarred inside and out after surviving a devastating explosion, Alessandro is angry, closed off, and intent on pushing everyone away... until Rory proves she’s the one person who won’t back down.

I loved their relationship so much! What starts as constant clashes slowly morphs into something emotional and intense. Alessandro is broken yet fierce, Rory is strong and determined, and together, they were perfect for each other.

🔥 Enemies to lovers vibes
🔥 Mafia family drama
🔥 Secrets, lies, and betrayals
🔥 Tension and spice

This was my first Sienna Cross read, and it definitely won’t be my last! Brutal Heir had me hooked, losing sleep, and I regret nothing!

✨ARC review✨

Alessandro Rossi doesn’t just walk onto the page—he erupts like a storm you can’t escape.
His love, his rage, his devotion… it’s dark, savage, and addictive.

“Who hurt you? Tell me who hurt you, because I swear to God, Rory, I’ll rip his fucking spine out…”
That line carved itself into me. He feels like a king reclaiming his throne with his Celtic goddess at his side. And when he growls, “Because no one touches what’s mine and walks away alive,” it’s not a warning—it’s a promise.

He didn’t need saving—he only needed someone to remind him of the king he always was. And Rory gave him that.
Together, they are scars and fire, passion and ruin, the kind of love that destroys everything in its path but still makes you beg for more.

Some lines will never leave me:
🍀 “You taste like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”
🍀 “Scars or not… you’re breathtaking.”
🍀 “I’ve never believed in anything more than I believe in us.”

The king and his queen—merciless, eternal, unforgettable.
And me? I’m walking away with a brand-new trophy:

🏆🏆Leprechaun🏆🏆

Book 3 in the Ruthless Heirs series and Ale and Rory are easily my absolute favorite couple. I’m still sitting here completely stunned by the epilogue, but that’s a different story for a different time…. Literally!

Ale and Rory both had so much emotional turmoil to work through, both completely broken and desperate to find a reprieve. They were each others breath, their reason to fight and their reason to love.

Rory embodied everything Alessandro needed to bring him back from his darkest days, and she did so with such a fiery attitude, I couldn’t help smile every time she push Ale just a bit further.

The ultimate Beauty and the Beast story.

The cousin crew consistently proves that their love knows no bounds, and that they will to anything for each other.

This story was pure perfection!

4.25stars-BRUTAL HEIR is the third instalment in Sienna Cross’ contemporary, adult RUTHLESS HEIRS dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is heir to the Gemini Empire Alessandro ‘Ale’ Rossi, and Irish Mafia princess, nurse Brigid O’Shea aka Rory Delaney’s story line. BRUTAL HEIR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Rory and Ale) BRUTAL HEIR follows in the aftermath of the almost wedding between Brigid O’Shea to the man known as the Butcher of Belfast. At the age of fifteen Brigid O’Shea was promised in marriage to a monster but on her wedding day several years later, Brigid ran, landing in America, where she would be known a Rory Delaney. Fast forward to present day, hired as a live-in nurse to aid in the recovery of our story line hero, Rory finds herself falling for a man who’s scarred both inside and out. An explosion and ensuing fire left Alessandro Rossi struggling for his life, and Rory is determined to prove she is stronger than the wrath Alessandro is determined to throw her way but Rory’s short lived freedom in America is about to come to an end when betrayal continues from afar, and in the hopes of protecting the people she loves, Rory walks away from the man with whom she had fallen in love.

The detailed world building focuses on Alessandra Rossi’s recovery, and his need to claim our story line heroine but Rory is keeping secret the life she left behind, a life that is about to come full circle perpetuating a war, threatening the lives of everyone involved.

The relationship between Rory and Ale begins as nurse and patient. Alessandro Rossi is struggling in the aftermath of the explosion and fire that has left our hero a shell of his former self but Rory Delaney is determined to prove he is stronger than is claims to be, and worthy to call himself heir to the throne. The $ex scenes are impassioned and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dangerous and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including Alessandro’s Rossi’s large extended family of siblings and cousins, co-workers, and friends, as well as Brigid’s questionable father and brothers.

BRUTAL HEIR is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and madness, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is intricated, dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive and sensitive; the characters are sassy, spirited, determined and desperate.

"And from where I’m standing, you’re even more attractive than before. Those scars don’t make you less. They prove you survived, and damn if that isn’t the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.”

“You think you’re scared?” she whispers. “You’re not the only one with scars, Rossi. Some just aren’t on the outside.”

This is a mafia romance, beauty to beast, millionaire, patient/nurse romance, and dark contemporary romance. Tiny tyrant truly is a fantastic nickname. It might be one of my new favorites. The nickname is very fitting.

I love the fact that Rory and Alessandro fight for days over a bath. Rory is red-headed, spirited, and will not back down. I would say feisty to the extreme. Alessandro does not want anyone to witness his struggles. Alessandro is used to being the powerful businessman who runs and owns a special club, and having women fall at his feet.

Not anymore, not since the accident. What Alessandro needs is someone who doesn't see him as a monster or beast. Rory gives Alessandro his power back and recognizes he's more than just the burns. Alessandro was chained to a prison of his own making and self isolation. Sometimes you just need the right person to change your perspective. Change Alessandro's perspective, Rory did.

Rory was running from her traumatic past and Ireland. Rory snuck away to the US. Rory met some of Alessandro 's family. Alessandro's family thinks Rory would be the right nurse for him. Alessandro is in need of a nurse and medical care stat! Alessandro is recovering from significant burns.

Alessandro is not happy, might feel sorry for himself, and isn't afraid to voice he doesn't need Rory's help. Newsflash, Alessandro does need help. The only problem? Rory is the only woman that has made a specific part of Alessandro work again. A part Alessandro is ashamed to admit are clearly attracted to only Rory.

Rory sees behind Alessandro's mask one day and it's everything Rory's running from. There is so much steam building between these two. For the majority of the book, there's not much actual touching or action taken about their feelings. At 50% of the book, they've only looked and kissed maybe once. There's a description of a ring, sood good! 🫶

This book has to be my favourite of the second generation, there I said it🤭 Sienna cross certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to Alessandro and Rory, as for me they were absolutely everything and more.

If you’ve been keeping up with the series you will remember that Ale was involved in an accident in Savage Prince (Serena & Antonio’s book), which left him badly injured. This book we witness Alessandro’s recovery journey, in which of he struggled to adapt to. A main reason for this was because prior to the accident Alessandro was seen as the ruthless and powerful heir to the Gemma Corp, and now he was reliant on others for daily simple tasks. The accident also left quite a bit of damage and scarring.

This is where Rory comes in and may I say this woman was a firecracker. Look I always enjoy when a FMC has Irish heritage because of course I myself am Irish. But anywhooo, Rory has been running from the past she left behind in Belfast and while she was working as a temporary nurse she meets Isabella and Serena who sent her in Alessandros direction or more so his fathers direction first so she could be hired as his nurse but sure same difference.

Rory is a FMC that has a back bone that’s for sure as when it comes to Ale, he utterly refuses of having Rory as his nurse. But she doesn’t let that stop her- she is determined to help him no matter how resistant he is. The banter and back and forth between these two was utterly hilarious, I loved it and slowly but surely the walls that these two placed around themselves started to come down and something deeper blossomed

Rory offered something to Ale that no one previously offered him- she didn’t look at him with pity and she never gave up on him. By definition she helped him return to the man he was prior to the accident, aka the brutal heir. And when Rory’s past starts to creep back in Ale fights for her, just like she did for him.

Honestly words cannot describe how much I loved this story, these two went from barely tolerating each other, to a mutual understanding, to lovers and it was ever so beautiful to see unfold.

The author has teased the next book at the end of this book and I am ever so excited 😆

Thank you so much to greys promotions who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts. 💭

Brutal Heir by Sienna Cross is a compelling and spicy dark romance that masterfully combines high-stakes mafia action with deep emotional healing, all brought vividly to life by the brilliant narration of Tor Thom and Chloe Ryan. This novel focuses on Alessandro Rossi, the heir to the powerful Gemini corporation (mafia), and Rory, the fiery nurse hired to care for him.

Alessandro has been profoundly changed by an explosion that left him scarred, bitter, and isolated. The notorious playboy is now convinced he inspires only pity in women and has lost the respect of men. His father hires Rory, an Irish nurse who fled her own country and a life arranged by a cruel father, to provide live-in care. Their relationship starts explosively: Alessandro is determined to push her away, but Rory, who has a sharp tongue and zero fear, is equally determined to stay and challenge his self-pity.

What begins as a test of wills and a temporary nursing position slowly blossoms into a profound connection. Rory, escaping her past, sees beyond the scars to the man everyone else fears, while Alessandro sees the strength and compassion behind her sassy exterior. They become each other’s unexpected support system, navigating vulnerability and healing both physically and mentally. Rory helps Alessandro find his way back to the light and accept his place as the heir, while Alessandro offers Rory something she has never had: protection, safety, and a sense of being truly cherished.

This book is much more than a dark romance; it’s a journey of identity, acceptance, and found family. The action sequences will keep readers on their toes, but the heartwarming devotion of the Valentino and Rossi families is what makes the story memorable. The "cousin crew," in particular, is an incredibly close-knit group that instantly welcomes Rory, highlighting the beautiful sense of loyalty and support that underpins the entire series. With sweet, heart-melting moments, action, and spice that is off the charts, Brutal Heir is a delightful read that proves even the most savage heirs deserve a happily ever after.

Brutal Heir by Sienna Cross is the 3rd book in the series and yet again it does not disappoint. In the aftermath of the previous book Savage Heir and the violent attack, Alessandro, was left physically and emotionally scarred with severe burns. Rory, the nurse assigned to his recovery. She’s professional, compassionate, and unafraid to challenge him, which immediately sets her apart.

Alessandro, feels vulnerable, dependent on others for care, isolated, and anger bubbling away. It’s not hard to see that he resents Rory and she becomes his target for all his pent-up anger and bitterness. But Rory is having none of his nonsense and no matter the intimidation and sometimes cruelty she stands her ground, her defiance chipping away at Alessandro’s walls.

Alessandro and Rory have a combustible chemistry, and you can feel that bubbling away just waiting for it to erupt. Rory sees through the scars and anger, the man Alessandro hides, she teases him, pushing back, refusing to pity him. She won’t let him retreat into bitterness and challenges him to see that vulnerability doesn’t erase his power. Alessandro finds himself drawn to her strength and for the first time, realises someone sees beyond the scars. But he’s convinced his scars make him unworthy, and his mafia ties make him dangerous for Rory.

As the threats that scarred him in the first place resurface, Rory becomes a target. Alessandro is forced to step back into his role as the heir, no longer the broken man, but the ruthless protector. His strength isn’t just for vengeance; it’s to safeguard Rory.

Alessandro & Rory’s journey is one of recovery, resilience, and unexpected love. It’s about two people breaking down each other’s walls. It’s about a love which is born in pain and healing: raw, passionate, unshakable and a man who learns he can be loved, even scarred and broken.

✨️✨️ ARC Review ✨️✨️

Brutal Heir is the third instalment in Sienna Cross’s Ruthless Heirs series, and it might just be my favourite so far. Dark, passionate and brimming with tension, it delivers the perfect mix of broken hero, fiery heroine and off-the-charts chemistry.

Alessandro Rossi is no longer the golden heir everyone once knew. Scarred and bitter after the explosion, he is drowning in pain, anger and self-loathing. His cousins decide he needs looking after, which is how Rory storms into his world. She is sharp-tongued, stubborn and utterly unafraid to stand her ground, which both shocks and intrigues Ale.

Rory is hiding from a past she can’t escape, desperate to stay safe and keep breathing. Becoming a live-in nurse to one of the most dangerous men in Manhattan was not part of her plan, yet from the moment they meet sparks fly. Ale calls her his “little tyrant” and their banter is as addictive as their growing attraction.

What I loved most is that this isn’t a simple romance. Both are fighting their own demons. Ale doesn’t recognise the man he has become, while Rory is torn between her feelings for him and the secrets she carries. When her past finally catches up with her, everything threatens to fall apart, but Ale is already too deep to let her go.

Their relationship is messy, intense and full of fire, but beneath it all is a love that feels both fragile and fierce. Sienna Cross balances the grit with moments of vulnerability, making this story not just about passion but also about healing and acceptance.

And that teaser at the end? Let’s just say the next book cannot come soon enough.

Brutal Heir is a brilliant addition to the Ruthless Heirs series, perfect if you enjoy scarred heroes, fearless heroines and a romance that pulls you into the dark and refuses to let you go.

The latest book from the next generation with the Ruthless Kings series continuing with Alessandro’s story in Brutal Heir. The story picks up after events of the previous book with the hero recovering from his near fatal injuries and the scarred Ale was angry at the world, but it was more than physical scarring that ailed him. Mentally he was coming to terms with how close he’d come to death and the fact that he wasn’t invincible, hating to be dependent on anyone even his family. It was this version of Alessandro that Rory meets when she’s brought in to nurse him and she immediately becomes the perfect target for his cruelty, but Rory wasn’t weak. She had secrets of her own and where she’d had to fight to save herself. She didn’t care he didn’t want her help, she had a job to do and pushed back at Ale at every turn challenging him and encouraging him almost without him being aware what she was doing.

If you’re a fan of forced proximity, romances with a hint of the forbidden. Sizzling chemistryand lots of pent-up longing, the romance between Alessandro and Rory might’ve been slowburn but the heat between them was palpable, then Brutal Heir is the book for you. I love when the hero is conflicted about his feelings for the heroine and despite his verbal brutality towards Rory, Ale felt unworthy of her, wanting to protect her from the darkness of his world, and not feeling he could due to his injuries. He didn’t seem to realise that Rory wasn’t looking for a protector, she could look out for herself. What she needed was someone to love her unconditionally but what they both needed to realise was together they were stronger especially when Rory became a target for his enemies. With a fabulous cast of secondary characters, mostly Alessandro’s relatives but especially his cousins I can’t wait to read more from the Ruthless Heirs series.

Brutal Heir by Sienna Cross is book three in her Ruthless Heirs series, this is the next generation series following her Kings of Temptation series. This is a dark mafia romance following Alessandro Rossi and Rory DeLaney.
🚩There are dark themes that may be triggering so please check out the content warning before you dive in 🚩

Main Characters ✨
👑 Alessandro, our broody MMC, is heir to the Gemini Empire and after surviving a huge explosion in Milano, he is now healing not only physically but mentally and emotionally from the blast. He is not the same man he was before the blast where he exuded power and confidence. Now he feels opposite to that, hiding in his penthouse. After firing his last nurse, his father has hired a fiery Irish nurse who doesn’t coddle him and will not take no for an answer. But also makes him feel better than he has in months, makes him finally feel hopeful.

🍀 Rory, our feisty FMC, after leaving Belfast she never intended to be part of the underworld again. She wanted to live hidden and out of sights from the life she ran from. She took the job as a live in nurse to help get herself back on her feet not knowing that her broody patient is actually the heir to the Gemini Empire aka Mafia. But it’s too late to walk away now, her heart is on the line and the taker is none other than Alessandro Rossi!

My thoughts 💭
I loooove dark mafia romance so when you add a boss FMC who carries a dagger pinned in her hair and has a mouth that could rival the worst of them, I am hooked. The banter is top tier between these two and to see their characters develop from strangers to friends and eventual lovers 🥹 so so good. I love the family dynamic between the cousins, it’s so beautiful and it shows the kind of love they were raised with. Read this one. You won’t regret it 🖤

Arc Review brutal heir

-Mafia Romance
-nurse/patient
-Secret identity
-Forced proximity
-past trauma

This is my first book by Sienna cross and it definitely will not be my last. I really need to go back and read all of her backlist because I really really enjoyed this one.

This story follows Alessandro and Rory and they meet when Alessandro‘s cousins meet Rory at the hospital and realise she’s a nurse and think that she can help their cousin who has been in an accident and be his live in nurse

They do get off to a really hostile start as he doesn’t want to accept the help but Rory is trying to provide him but this FMC is very fiery and really does not give a crap how he feels. I just wants to help him. Rory is one of my favourite FMC’s that I have read in a very long time. She just expressed how she felt denied how she felt and always just took the time to really take care of Aliandro and you could see just the sort of beautiful person that she is.

I felt so sad for Alessandro because he obviously had a lot of trauma from his accident and he was really closed off to really anyone helping him but throughout this book you see he realises that Rory‘s after that to help him and then from there they build this beautiful connection

Sienna what you did at the end of this book with the I’ll call it a cliffhanger for the next book. I was gagged honestly and now I cannot wait for the next book in a series 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Thank you to greys promo and @sienna cross for an arc copy of this book. I really do appreciate you giving me this opportunity to review this before the release date on 9 September.

I recommend everyone add this to the TBR as it is just a really good fun mafia Romance that I think most people enjoy

Brutal Heir is the third book in the Ruthless Heirs series. Alessandro is dealing with almost being killed in an explosion. He has scars and needs to rehabilitate. Even walking hurts. He is the heir to the Gemini Empire but he now sees himself as a monster and wants everyone to leave him alone. His cousin crew who we have previously met tries to be there for him, even if it is just for moral support. His father is tired of him not wanting to do anything so he hires a nurse. One who he knows will not scare so easily. Rory is everything he did not expect and he is instantly attracted to her. Although he tries to fight it, because who would want to be with a monster like him. Will she get through his tough exterior?

Rory is running from her mafia past. All she wants is to disappear and blend into the normal crowds. She needs a place to stay and money. Unusual circumstances lead her to become Alessandro’s live-in nurse. She immediately likes him but refuses to act on it. She is determined to help him become who he was before the explosion. She does not put up with his moods. She talks back to him and is willing to take his insults as long as he gets better. However her past is catching up to her and she doesn’t know if she should trust Alessandro. What will happen when he finds out the truth?

Sienna Cross had me on an emotional rollercoaster. From Rory’s fears to Alessandro’s anger. I felt so bad for Rory for having to hide and not really be able to live. Always have to be looking over her shoulder in case a new threat appears. I also felt bad for Alessandro. No one understood what he needed but Rory. He slowly opens up and start to be the man everyone knows. When Rory’s past becomes a threat, he becomes her protector. I was on the edge of my seat with all the twists but there were some heartfelt moments. This story is filled with drama, heat, action, angst, and so many surprises. That epilogue left me shocked, and I cannot wait to start the next ruthless heir.

I do love a good, dark mafia romance and this is definitely a good, dark mafia romance. This is the third book in Sienna Cross's Ruthless Heirs series, it can totally be read as a standalone.
Alessandro (Ale) Rossi was the victim of an explosion whilst trying to save his cousin Serena, badly burned and scared and unable to walk unaided, the previously handsome playboy, club owner, was now, despite encouragement from his cousins, questioning his use in life.
Ale is heir to the powerful Gemini Italian mafia empire, a job that he didn't want. In desperation his father hired a live in nurse to care for Ale with a hope of healing him both physically and mentally.
Enter nurse Rory Delaney. Rory had escaped from her Irish mafia family after her father arranged a marriage for her with a ruthless, cruel man known as the Butcher of Belfast, she fled to New York and Brigid O'Shea became Rory Delaney.
Ale was furious, he didn't need a nurse, he wasn't going to have one............Ale hadn't met sassy, straight talking Rory, beautiful red haired Rory who would stand up to him, Rory who would bargain with him, Rory who would bully him, Rory who would make him have feelings that he thought had gone forever.
This is Rory and Ale's story, a story where they learn to face and conquer their demons as they slowly fall in love, this is a story that is very hard to put down, it is action packed, it has ruthless murders, it has burning passion. I loved the families, with the wonderful characters, especially the "Cousin Crew", I loved their loyalty, their warmth and I loved that the end of this story lead brilliantly into the next one and I cant wait.
Thank you Grey Promotions for this ARC, my review is totally voluntary.
