The author that made me fall in love with omegaverse romances is now part of The Knotty Puckers series with book number 4, Knot My Pucking Problem. I've been part of Ellie's omegaverse arc team sense her first book, Cleat Heat and her books have only gotten better and better. That's not saying a whole lot sense I loved her first one, but her OV writing has only went up!

This book brought forth a lot that was going on not only between the Omega and Alphas, but also in the Omega personal life, but it never seemed like it was too much to make the book messy. Everything fit perfectly together and the book really enjoyable.

Nixie Alton is a single mom to an 11 year old boy named Asher. She has been a single mom since her pregnancy. It didn't give to much away in the beginning, but you could tell something bad had happened to her.

She is such a strong and independent Omega, doing everything to make sure her son has the best possible life she can provide him. Asher is really big into hockey and this mom does everything to give him what he wants. She can't get a good job, so she works as a waitress and at night a cam girl to make extra money outside her bills for Asher.

That all changes when she gets fired from her waitressing job by not putting up with an nasty alphas behavior in the restaurant. It wouldn't have been a problem, but since the Alpha was a famous hockey player, that changed everything.

I want to stop here by saying that what this Alpha did was nasty, and he's lucky that all she wanted him to do was leave with his puck bunny. He was also wrong by not standing up for the Omega and demanding she keep her job. The Alpha felt so bad about it and knew his actions were wrong, but he let it just happen. Where were the protective instincts they have towards Omega at? I understand Nixie was wearing scent blockers, but the manager told him she was an omega. Also, I don't see how she didn't scent him as her scent match. He couldn't smell her from the scent blockers, but she could smell him and didn't. I was thrown off a little by that, but oh well.

After being fired, Nixie now had to do more cam girl drains to cover the bills and to cover Asher's exhibition he wanted to play in. She had to do more uncomfortable things during the love stream as well to make the money. My heart went out to her.

Vonn Keene is the backup goalie for the Scented Scorpins hockey team. He's always on the bench and never plays and wants to do something else in life, like find an omega for him and his packmate, the team captain, Julius Keene. He's tired of the one night stands that Julius keeps bringing home and wanting him to join. It used to be fun, but not anymore. He wants something more serious.

Vonn had also been watching a cam girl and falling in love with her. Even though he knows nothing about this Omega.

One day after practice, the team's pr, Marilyn approaches him wanting him and Julius to a team thing. He catches a scent on her that rocks his world. From what I've gathered, Marilyn is the matchmaker for this series in general. She needs to whip these alpha's into sharp and turn their behaviors into good ones or they risk losing the team.

Julius Keene is the team captain and can't seem to get his shit together. He's not nice and pushes the boundaries. I think game has got to him a little bit and knowing he can get away with a lot. He's not that alpha behind closed doors with his packmate, Vonn. He's see the alpha more vulnerable side.

They are both sent to help mentor a group of young hockey players for an exhibition. Julius instantly takes to a boy, Asher and sees that he's got talent. But he's sees Asher in second hand, well used equipment and it reminds him of his childhood and he instantly thinks the kid as parents that don't care. So he explodes in front of everyone to figure out where his parents are. Little does he know...

Vonn has scented Nixie at this youth hockey class and she had him as well. Vonn tries to tell Julius that their scent match is there, but he has already set out to rip apart some parents. That's leads to him exploding in front of all the parents and Vonn already sees where this boys mom is and it happens to be their event match.

Julius had now scented her and knows who she is from the diner, because have I mentioned he's the alpha that caused her to get fired. He tells like his whole world has exploded, but he is a determined thing I must admit that.

What I loved about Asher was that her life his mother and would fight for her. You could tell that this boy was going to be an alpha. His role models in the hockey world are Julius and Vonn, but this boy wasn't afraid to go toe to toe with Julius for his mother and then Vonn when he went after them. His love for his mother is everything and his forgiveness later on in the book is special to. You can tell this boy was raised right.

Can things be fixed between Nixie and these alpha's, or will she leave them both behind? She may even choose one over the other and split this pack up for good. Or maybe her past will come back and send her running again.

On an of note that I wish was in the book would have been Vonn revealing that he was PuckNut88 on NightNudes, the cam girl site. They both had a connection to one another, but PuckNut88 decided to leave the site after he met his scent match, but told the Omega cam girl why he wasn't coming back on there to see her. Once he figured out who she, and then she figured out they knew she was a cam girl, I feel like that would have been bright up at some point in the book. It was such a big thing at the beginning, their connection. A missed opportunity for sure.

Nixie was such an amazing fmc, she was so strong and independent. Her parents didn't know how to handle her presenting as an omega and did horrible things to her. Making her runaway at 18 and pregnant. She struggled as a single mom but did all she could to give Asher a great life. They meet Vonn and Julius Keene, professional hockey players and pack mates, as mentors for her sons hockey team. They instantly know she's their scent match. Nixie is not trusting and Pack Keene does everything they can to show her that they want to love and support her and Asher. When the past comes back into their lives, Nixie has to decide to run or stay.

Knot My Pucking Problem is book three in the Knotty Puckers shared world. The books are standalone and can be read in any order.

Nixie is a single mother working multiple jobs and sacrificing so her son, Asher, has the best childhood possible. Her little family is put in dire straits when a local sports celebrity gets her fired from her job. She’s forced to ramp up her cam-girl gig to cover her son’s hockey and to make end’s meet.

Vonn is the back-up goalie and Julius is the star Captain of the Scented Scorpions. Their opposite grumpy/sunshine personalities make them an ideal pack of two. The pair end up as hockey mentors for Asher and realize Nixie is their scent match.

Unfortunately, when Julius and Nixie first meet, sparks fly but not of the good variety. At their second introduction, the situation goes from bad to worse. With Vonn’s help, he must grovel to both mother and son to make up for his behavior.

I loved the characters in this book. Nixie was an amazing mother who was dedicated to giving her son the best. Vonn is an absolute sweetheart and Julius is a true alphahole but what they both agree on is that Nixie and Asher should be treated like gold - or else.

4.25 stars. This story is triple POV, well written and edited, and a steamy, fast-paced, single mum, fated mates, contemporary fantasy omegaverse ménage a trois romance between Nixie, the female cam girl, single mum lead, and her scent matched professional hockey player male alpha duo, Vonn, the gentle spirited and patient listener lead, and Julius, the abrasive, aggressive, stereotypical Captain lead. I enjoyed Nixie’s determination and focus on providing her son, Asher, with everything he needed whilst keeping him hidden from his sire and her parents. I enjoyed Vonn’s gentleness and his willingness to listen to and abide by Nixie’s preferences. I enjoyed the contrast between Julius’ outward brashness and aggression compared to his private angst and concerns. I enjoyed the spicy intimate scenes and the contribution they made to relationship development. I enjoyed Julius’ increasing humility. I enjoyed Asher’s personality and the commentary that provided for Nixie. I enjoyed the non-romance plot, especially the righteous resolution.

I received a complimentary copy from author and this is my voluntary honest review.

I absolutely adored this book!
Once again Author Ellie Exton had me in a chokehold with these incredible characters!
This pack in particular had me all in my feels.
The FMC, she’s the ultimate boy mom! She’s doing everything she can to give her son the best possible life. Despite all that she’s been through she is determined to give her son an incredible life.
The MMCs of course are two gorgeous Alphas that while they both play hockey they are both very different. While one is cocky and a total playboy, the other is a total golden retriever. These two make the perfect pack and have this incredible dynamic.
Despite their not so awesome start these characters have this undeniable chemistry!
Add in the dynamic of scent matches and a heat and you have the recipe for an incredible omegaverse!
And it wouldn’t be true Ellie Exton fashion if there wasn’t some suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat.
If you love omegaverse you need to check out this author!

I really enjoyed this single mom, scent-match hockey omegaverse! I wasn’t sure I was going to like Julius based on not only meeting him in prior books in the Knotty Puckers series but simply how he behaves at the beginning of this book. He’s kind of obnoxious and insufferable, if I’m honest. But meeting his scent-match has him doing a 180, at which point he not only makes amends to Nixie, but to me, too. I was all for having two scent-matches where one was grumpy and obstinate while the other was sweet and respectful. It was a great mix of personalities in this MFM situation. I also really liked the touch of darkness and resulting light angst that gave just enough for there to be concern for their HEA.

This book skates in hot with claws out and never lets up. A scrappy, no-nonsense omega single mom, two very different alpha hockey players, and scent match bound that refuses to be ignored makes for a deliciously chaotic, high-heat ride. The hockey backdrop adds swagger and edge, but the real win here is the emotional grind; watching two alphas realize that wanting an omega isn’t enough if they’re not willing to earn her trust, her bond, and her kid’s approval. The pacing is fast, the spice hits hard, and the chemistry is feral in the best way.

Vonn and Julius are the ultimate contrast pair: one sweet, patient, and quietly devoted; the other a full-blown alpha-hole who absolutely deserves to grovel more than he did. The balance between them works beautifully, especially as they learn that protecting, listening, and showing up matters just as much as claiming. Nixie is fierce, exhausted, funny, and deeply grounded in her role as a mom. Her boundaries feel earned, her strength feels real, and watching these alphas step up for both her and Asher is peak found family satisfaction.

Between the possessive hockey energy, the omegaverse instincts, and a kid who steals every scene he’s in, this installment delivers heart alongside heat. It’s messy, tender, obsessive, and wildly entertaining, with just enough angst to make the payoff hit harder. A fast, addictive read that proves fate might not play fair but it sure knows how to pick a winning line.

I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.

I really enjoyed this omegaverse book! Nixie was working so hard to keep it all together as a single mom to Asher, including working as a cam girl to help make ends meet. As an omega without a pack she has really had to work hard to give her son everything he needs…and then meets her scent matches….via a certain meddling PR person…

Ok, so it wasn’t exactly cute, but Nixie and Julius have quite the introduction and oh it goes so badly…thankfully her and Vonn have much a better meet-cute…but have they met before?? Hmmmmm…

I loved Nixie, she was strong and independent and I loved her sass. Julius was brooding and grumpy and so obsessed and protective over Nixie and Asher. Vonn was very sweet and I liked the balance between them in the pack - Vonn is the MVP here - he was as patient!

The chemistry and tension between Nixie and the alphas was so good!! I loved how the tension shifts with the book - Nixie and Julius had hate level tension to tension run on raw instincts…and then it develops into something much deeper.

Asher is a little firecracker (just like his mom) and I really loved his character!

I absolutely loved this story. A struggling single mom who has to take on a less than professional job, gets fired from her day job because of a grumpy Alpha hockey player. Wouldn't you know that same grumpy Alpha starts mentoring her son in hockey lessons, and she realizes his sweet as pie pack mate is her scent match and so is he! Ohhh, so much tension, banter, groveling, and swoon-worthy courting. Then add in some drama and over protective Alphas who will literally do ANYTHING for you, and you have yourself a fantastic read. It definitely kept me interested, giggling, and fanning myself. I was definitely caught up in reading it and was up much later than I had any right to be to get it finished. Highly enjoyed and definitely recommend!

Third book by this author and all have been great!

A bumpy start for our characters but their relationship development was great! It was very nice to see each other of them go at different paces and that’s okay!

Of course, obsessed MMCs who just want to take care of their fated mate and her son. The fmcs son was awesome! Loved the way he loved his mom and was on her side. He was very understanding

Some drama with toxic parents and others from the past

Glad they got their happy end in the end 😊

Knot My Pucking Problem by Ellie Exton is a thrilling and emotionally charged addition to the Knotty Puckers series, immersing readers in a high-stakes Hockey Omegaverse world where passion, danger, and unexpected connections collide. Book four expertly blends heat, humor, and heart, delivering a story that is both steamy and deeply engaging.

Nixie Alton is a fiercely independent omega whose life has been anything but easy. As a single mom scraping every dollar to support her son’s hockey dreams, she has little time or patience for romantic entanglements. Presenting as an omega has left her wary and cautious, particularly around Alphas, whose attention is often more burdensome than flattering. Her early experiences have made her jaded, but they also give her a grounded strength and a sharp sense of self that makes her a compelling and relatable heroine.

Her world is thrown into chaos when a brash Alpha with a bad attitude interferes in her life, leading to her losing her job and forcing her into an unexpected path as a camgirl. The tension is immediate and personal, especially when the very Alpha who disrupted her life turns out to be a professional hockey player who refuses to take “no” for an answer. As if fate weren’t complicated enough, the Alpha’s packbrother discovers that Nixie is their scent match the one destined to be a perfect mate. Suddenly, her life is a tangled mix of desire, danger, and destiny.

The romance between Nixie and the Alpha crackles with intensity. Ellie Exton expertly layers slow-burn tension, possessive instincts, and deeply emotional bonding that make their connection feel inevitable, yet hard-won. Their chemistry is explosive, combining raw sexual tension with moments of vulnerability that give the story real heart. Nixie’s struggle to protect herself and her son while navigating this new, complicated dynamic makes her a heroine readers can truly root for.

The Omegaverse elements of mate bonds, scent matches, pack dynamics are woven seamlessly into the story, adding a unique flavor that heightens the stakes and emotional resonance. Nixie’s fierce Mama Bear instincts, her determination not to be pushed around, and her growing emotional vulnerability make every interaction with the Alpha compelling, entertaining, and sometimes heart-wrenching.

Beyond the romance, Knot My Pucking Problem explores themes of family, self-discovery, and personal empowerment. Nixie’s journey isn’t just about love; it’s about reclaiming control of her life and embracing who she is, both as a mother and as an omega navigating a world that often underestimates her.

Ellie Exton delivers a story that is raw, addictive, and unapologetically steamy, with characters who stay with you long after the last page. Knot My Pucking Problem is a must-read for fans of Omegaverse romance, hockey-centered stories, and strong, independent heroines who fight fiercely for the love and life they deserve.

Omegaverse. Hockey Players. Single mom. Cam girl. This book has all of my favorite tropes all wrapped up in a book written by Exton, an author that has written some of my favorite omegaverses. This was such a good story because it was not just a sports romance but also a sweet omegaverse with a dark back story. It has an omega single mom that gives all she has so that her son has the best life possible. She sacrifices and works hard so that her son never has to go without. He is a hockey star, even though he doesn’t have the best gear or the fanciest skates, he works hard. I loved the interaction not only between mother and son, but also the between the alphas and the boy. The way they easily became mentors to him made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The omega has a dark past that she has done her best to disappear from. The characters were all so different and that is what made them come together as the perfect pack.

The main characters in this story were all so different, but the way they complimented each other was absolute perfection. Nixie was a wonderful omega and the best mom. She had horrible examples of what makes a family, yet she worked hard and did everything she could to build a home for her son. She even made money as a cam girl so that she could give her son everything he could want. Vonn is a sweetheart. He’s a back-up goalie that gets almost no playing time. But hockey isn’t what gets him excited anymore. He wants a family and an omega. His packmate, Julius, is the opposite, bringing home a different girl every night. The way he grows and becomes the alpha that they all deserve is so wonderful to read. I loved all of the main characters and Asher, Nixie’s son is the kind of son you dream of. He cares about his mom more than anything.

I really enjoyed reading this story. Of course I love a good omegaverse but the fact that this is a sports romance made it even better. It’s an omegaverse, so you can definitely expect some wonderful spicy times, especially when a heart is involved. This is not the huge pack with lots of alphas that you might be used to. The two alphas for one omega was perfect. There was a little bit of a bumpy ride towards the end, but this was such an enjoyable story.

Nixie, Vonn, and Julius

What you’ll get:
Omegaverse
Why choose
Enemies to lovers
Hockey
Single mum
Fated mated/scent mates
Heat/nesting/knots/bonds
Multiple POV

Single mum Nixie is doing the best she can for her hockey loving son Asher. To supplement her job, and pay for Asher’s sport activities, she’s taken on being a cam girl. Unfortunately after an a-z of an alpha causes her to lose her job, she’s having to push boundaries further than she truly wants.

Vonn is recruited by Marilyn (head of PR) to help out with a mentoring program with young players. He falls in love/lust/extreme like with a cam girl, not realising it’s Nixie.

Julius was a pig. His actions are gross, and managed to get Nixie fired from her job in the diner. He didn’t really care about it until he realised she was an Omega… Gonna have to do a lot of work to win me over.

He was surprisingly awkward, and had a hard history which made him a tiny bit unstable when it comes to kids (and his omega). He had a special skill for putting foot to mouth and driving Nixie up the wall. Their interactions were surprisingly funny.

The classic AOA possessiveness, but Julius was absolutely unhinged. The instant claim of Asher was sweet, the desperate lengths he went to absolutely cracked me up, and his OTT protectiveness was hot.

Vonn, despite his early cinnamon roll tendencies was just as possessive, and I was all for it.

I loved this story, from the banter (snark), the bond, her history and how it was managed. Seriously enjoyed, and it won’t be the last time I read Ellie Exton.

Thanks, Ellie, for the advance copy.

I have been reading this Indie author for quite some time now. She is now writing in the Omegaverse, and while I do not typically read this, I would give it a go for her. She makes it so easy to enjoy her stories. Exton wrote a strong independent woman that would do anything to protect her own. This author makes it easy to read, enjoy, and not want to put down the book.

If you, like me, are new to Omegaverse this is a great place to start. I never felt overwhelmed with information and was just ready to learn more. I love the pull that the "HEAT" brings to the characters. It truly makes for next level angst.

Phoenix, who goes by Nixie, already gets major "badass" points just for her name alone. Not only that, she is s single mom who is doing everything for her son Asher. He is such a good kid and a huge impact on the story.

Julius and Vonn are already in a pack together and they could not be anymore different if they tried. It made for great balance in the determination of adding Nixie to their pack. I love the twist that involves Nixie's past, this is where I did not want to put the book down. The suspense had me captivated.

I will always and forever read this author and what words she gives us, you should give this a try.

Knot My Pucking Problem is a powerful addition to the Knotty Puckers series and easily one of Ellie’s strongest omegaverse stories yet. As someone who’s followed her OV work since Cleat Heat, it’s been incredible to watch her storytelling grow and this book proves she’s only getting better.

Nixie Alton is a fiercely strong FMC. A single mom doing everything she can to give her son, Asher, a better life, she’s resourceful, protective, and deeply relatable. Watching her navigate hardship, judgment, and impossible choices while never losing sight of her child hit hard emotionally. Asher is an absolute standout—his loyalty, courage, and love for his mom made my heart ache in the best way.

Vonn and Julius Keene are complex, flawed Alphas who grow significantly throughout the story. Vonn’s quiet longing for something real contrasts sharply with Julius’s rough edges and ego but watching Julius confront his mistakes and evolve was incredibly satisfying. Their bond as packmates adds depth, and their determination to earn Nixie’s trust feels genuine.

This book balances romance, family, trauma, and hockey beautifully without ever feeling overcrowded. The emotional stakes are high, the character growth is rewarding, and the found-family vibes are strong. Ellie delivers a heartfelt, engaging story that fits perfectly into the Knotty Puckers universe while standing strong on its own.

Highly recommended for omegaverse and hockey romance fans—this one has heart, heat, and meaning.

I thoroughly enjoy the Knotty Pucker series and Knot my Pucking Problem was no exception. When Nixie is introduced the first thing I noticed was her dedication and love for her son, Asher and her fierce need to prove and protect him.
When approached at Asher's hockey practice about the upcoming exhibition, Nixie knows she has to find the money to get him signed after hearing the prize of two year scholarships for hockey as well as mentoring by Scented Scorpions players.
Nixie works hard by day and has started a side hustle at night to give Asher everything she can. With the exhibition beginning and Asher being paired with his mentor there seems to be a series of unfortunate events full of misunderstandings, and misjudgements that make it seem like things will never get easier. But Vonn, the backup goalie is driven to do everything right and try to stop Julius (the team captain and his pack mate) from smashing everything to pieces. I loved watching the relationship grow between Vonn and Nixie with Julius trying to win her trust and not offend her independent streak. But just when things seem to be going in the right direction, things from Nixie's past show up trying to ruin things. Nixie needs to trust Vonn and Julius and hope everything goes her way.
I couldn't put it down once I started reading it and read until earlier in the morning to finish it. I just needed to know what was going to happen. And I can't wait for the next book in the series to see the next unexpected pairing up.

I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t my fist omegaverse book 🙈 I knowww, I know!

That being said, I had to look up a few terms but other than that, I wasn’t sad haha

This is the first book I’ve read of the series and I wasn’t disappointed.

Nixie is running from a past she wants to forget. When her mom and stepdad find out she’s an omega - they see dollar signs and her upbringing just wasn’t the greatest (I don’t want to spoil to much but I wanted to through punch who birthed her…just ewe…I can’t imagine doing what they did to my own child). She becomes pregnant with her son Asher and runs - right into her BFF Cassia!

She picks her up and together they make ends meet. They might not have the jobs they dreamed of but it puts food in her son’s mouth and allows him to play hockey - he seems to be a rising star.

Enter Vonn and Julius…both pro hockey stars and Alpha brothers - they set their sights on Asher and his mom. There’s a few unfortunate run ins…but eventually the story plays out.

I liked the story build up and they Nixie is such a bada** - she takes care of hers and doesn’t want their hand outs which makes them work even harder. They love the show for her son does her in though - it was cute watching them fall for her and Julius finally setting his sights on one person that made him work for it! The banter between them had me laughing quite a few times.

I enjoyed the read for sure and will definitely be looking into the rest of the series! Definitely recommend if it’s your thing! Thank you @happilybookedpr and @elliewriteseverything for the early read!! All opinions are my own.

Nixie is a single mom doing everything she can for her son, Asher. She’s juggling jobs, sacrificing sleep, meals, and even being a cam girl to keep his hockey dreams alive.🥰🥰🥰

Everything falls apart when a alphahole pro hockey player Julius gets her fired at her cafe job.

She takes Asher to his hockey practice with pro hockey players mentoring the kids.

Then things get even more complicated when she discovers the alphahole and his packmate are her scent matches. 🫣🫣🫣

Vonn is the sweetest cinnamon-roll Alpha! He is a backup goalie for a professional hockey team. Julius is a grumpy alphahole and is the star captain of their team.

Their dynamic with Nixie goes from tension to heat fast, especially once they realize how badly they messed up and how much groveling they needed to do.

Asher is the best son! He is loyal, brave, and ready to stand up to two full-grown Alphas for his mom.🥰🥰🥰

Ellie does a great job at blending hockey, omegaverse, worldbuilding, family bonds, and fated‑mate tension! I couldn't put their story down!!

Single Momma struggling but still gives her son hockey

Phoenix is a single mother trying to give her son the world. She shares an apartment with a friend who had always been there to help. She ran when she found out she was pregnant and spent some time on the streets.

They still struggle but Asher never goes without. When he found hockey it was the perfect fit for him and he is very goid at it even in second hand gear.

However, when one of Adheres favorite players gets her fired from her waitressing job she is forced to do more on her cam site. However, when she has a one on one with someone who was happy to pay her rate plus a very hefty tip she finds herself able to get her son into this program to be mentored by actual players and a chance at a scholarship.

Enter the Alpha who got her fired. Oh and somewhere in the building is her scent match. Thus starts the fun. The alphahole and his brother are her scent matches.

Will she be able to share the control she has relied on? Will she allow these men to date her, help her and ultimately love her? It's definitely going to be a challenge.

I love how the relationships were both earned and not in the same ways nor on the same timeline. The issue of her dating famous hockey players is that eventually her past will find her.

Beautiful and emotional story told with a perfect amount of flare, drama, and issues.

Wow, wow, wow - Ellie knocked this one out of the park! This story gripped me from the first chapter, pulled me in, and didn’t let go until The End.

THOUGHTS 💭
🏒 Our FMC Nixie is doing anything she can to care for her son Asher, including being a cam girl. I love the “cam girl and their client falling for each other before they know each other” trope. (Is that trope? I’m making it a trope!)
🏒 Vonn is a sweet little golden retriever alpha that I want to protect at all costs; his packmate, Julius, is an a-hole player that I wanted to punch (… until I fell just as hard for him!).
🏒 I love when a FMC is not impressed with wealth or fame; when she doesn’t fall all over herself for a MMC who is used to getting whatever and whoever he wants!
🏒 There’s something so mysterious about Nixie and Asher’s situation - we know there is something in their past they’re running from. And I loved seeing her get closure on that.
🏒 I loved watching Vonn and Julius connect with Nixie’s son Asher. They cared about making him theirs as much as they cared about making Nixie theirs - they knew Nixie and Asher were a package deal. 🩷
🏒 Omegaverses are just the best! Who wouldn’t want two (or three or four) hot as sin alphas who swoop in, protect and love you, and do everything and anything they can to make you happy?

Thanks so much to Ellie Exton for the ARC of this book!

Review of advance copy received from Author

Sweet and cozy read with slight undertones of darkness. Nixie is an admirable FMC who always puts her son first. I adore Asher who, despite being so young still, is protective of his mama and loves her fiercely. Ellie portrayed Asher perfectly for his age so it added realism and dimension to their story.

I love how considerate and thoughtful Vonn is towards Nixie and her wishes. He waited and waited for his omega and when he found her, he was patient and gentle with her. Julius reminds me of a hurricane, just causing destruction then chaos once he realizes what Nixie means to him. It’s interesting how Nixie and Julius both have a bad habit of projecting their own fears and insecurities in a self-sabotaging way. Poor Vonn always has to be the voice of reason but he gives them balance.

I had a feeling I’d like this going into it because I’ve read Ellie Exton before and thoroughly enjoyed that but the only thing I’d want to add to KMPP is an epilogue. I need to know what they’re all up to a few years down the line!

I did receive an ARC but it did not affect my honest review.

As a sidenote, I want to add that I liked how this was OV but instead of a whole pack, there was only 2 alphas and their omega. Ellie’s books so far tend to be slightly unconventional that way in the world of OV and I enjoy that diversity.

This book was definitely different. And I mean that in a good way. I’ve never read this author before, so I feel like I’m missing out a bit on the previous books. However, this one was easy to follow. So that’s a win for the author in my opinion. I really enjoyed the story itself. Single mom trying to raise her son and make a penny a dollar. I get it, boy do I get it. But when she loses her job because of a jerk of an alpha, why knew she was an omega, was the straw that broke the camels back for her. She was ahead struggling trying to give her son the best she could, and this guy comes along and snatched that right out from under her. Her only other option? Become a camgirl. Definitely no judgement, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do.
Her son lives hockey, so this is her driving force to try and give her son what he loves. Turns out that jerk guy at the diner is a famous hockey player 🤦🏽‍♀️ and it isn’t until his buddy says subverting, that he realizes she’s his mate.
With ALL that being said lol, this was a really great story. I loved how hard she worked for her son. She’s an amazing mom for sure. And “alphahole” turns out to be pretty amazing himself. I loved the back and forth, the tension, and just the characters in general. Everything was so well done. In really glad that I was able to ARC read this one. I’ll definitely be going back for more❤️

This book was really fun and hot. I couldn't wait to see what happened next in the story. I haven't ready many omegaverse novels so that was part of the fun. I do have a few questions after reading this like how didn't she figure out who pucknut88 was before she did and how didn't the people from her past find her before they did. I guess those answers aren't essential to the story but I still wonder. I've never read anything by this author but would check out her other books after this. Her characters were relatable and the spice was hot hot hot. I feel like the problem was resolved pretty quickly after all the build up. The story was mostly about the romance between nixie, Julius and vonn, with the last drama sprinkled in. I did have some ideas about the paternity of nixie's child but I was wrong and it was a bit worse than I thought. I would have loved a glimpse into the future of pack Keene but the storyline was complete by the end. Also I didn't realize this was part of a series with other authors but featuring the same hockey team. I like that there were parts of the hockey games in the story but it wasn't a major part of the storyline and there weren't a lot of technical terms to decipher.

"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.”
Nixie is an incredibly compelling, strong, resilient, and fiercely independent. After being mistreated by parents who couldn’t accept her presenting as an omega, she’s forced to run away at eighteen while pregnant. Despite the odds, she builds a life for herself as a single mother and does everything in her power to give her son, Asher, the best future possible.
Her life takes a turn when she meets Vonn and Julius Keene, professional hockey players and pack mates who become mentors for Asher’s team. From the moment they meet Nixie, they recognize her as their scent match. Scarred by her past, Nixie is understandably guarded, but the Keene pack is patient and unwavering, determined to show her that they genuinely want to love and support both her and Asher.
When unresolved elements of Nixie’s past resurface, she’s faced with a powerful choice: run once more or finally stay and fight for the happiness she deserves.
This was a read in one go kind of book. I couldn’t put it down and finished it craving more. An absolutely awesome story with strong characters, deep emotion, and a satisfying blend of romance and resilience. Alpha’s and they’re omega. 💛

Where the Ice Meets the Heart.

Nixie is a fiercely independent omega and an incredible single mom who truly does it all on her own. She is the epitome of strength and resilience in single parenthood. Fleeing a horrible family situation, she struggles day in and day out just to keep going. It was so refreshing to see everything she does for her son, Asher. Asher is an amazing eleven-year-old boy who loves hockey and adores his mom unconditionally.

The two alphas she’s matched with couldn’t be more different, yet they complement each other perfectly. Julius is the hard-edged alpha who constantly pushes too far and causes Nixie major emotional and financial stress. He was such a jerk at times that I honestly wanted to smack him. Vonn, on the other hand, was a complete breath of fresh air and I loved him immensely. He is loyal and dependable to a fault. Both men are professional hockey players and great role models on the ice.

I absolutely loved how both men claimed Asher from the very beginning. Watching them better Nixie’s life and her son’s in so many meaningful ways was incredibly satisfying. Their protectiveness was the icing on the cake and made me love them even more.

I am loving this hockey series so much and can’t wait to read the next book.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Knot My Pucking Problem is a light omegaverse romance with a solid and well-integrated hockey subplot.

I really appreciated that this isn’t one of those overly sweet OV stories. The MMCs actively court the FMC, and she doesn’t immediately give in—even though they’re clearly a match. The relationship takes time to develop, and while it’s undeniably influenced by scents and heats, it still felt grounded and surprisingly realistic. The emotional connection between the MCs genuinely grows, which made the romance more satisfying.

The book also touches on several interesting themes, from single motherhood to abusive exes and children struggling to find their place. Some of these elements are explored with real care and depth, while others are introduced as major issues only to be resolved a bit too quickly. I would have loved a stronger emotional payoff in certain areas, to really let those moments land and feel consequential.

That said, this was a very engaging read overall. The hockey aspect is nicely woven into the story rather than feeling like an afterthought, and the single-mum storyline was particularly compelling to follow. All in all, an enjoyable and interesting omegaverse romance that offers more than just heat.
