I read this as a textbook for my intro to philosophy class. This book helped me improve my writing skills in philosophy. I found it extremely helpful in reading and writing philosophy.

-The language is very accessible and easy to read and understand.
-The book is organized very well and it is easy to get specific instructions on the area of reading or writing philosophy that you want to improve.

This was my first philosophy class, and writing philosophy is much different from any other writing course I have done in the past, so having a detailed book that guided me through the process made writing philosophy an attainable task for me.
