Will Millie have the courage to live out her faith amidst relatives she doesn’t know?

Will the high society lifestyle of the Dinsmore family change Millie?

Despite my negative reviews of the ORIGINAL Elsie Dinsmore series, I really liked the Millie Keith series. Perhaps it is because I could again relate to the main character. Or perhaps it was because I read the Life of Faith boxed set editions which have updated the language, abridged the story and modified some of the writing to be more understandable for women today. I liked the story line-moving forward to something more than simply marriage and underscoring the importance of the every-day mundane decisions a Christian must make. Unlike Elsie, Millie was full of failures. She realized them but didn't always find repenting or going to church fun or easy. She was slightly rebellious of the establishment. She was a strong, pioneering, ingenuous, free-thinking and strong woman. Everything that I found repulsive about Elsie, Millie was the opposite, endearing and inspiring. I learned a lot of history from this series, and was inspired to travel.

I've read all eight books in this series so many times, I've lost count.
What a wonderful example and role model Millie is for girls!
As I've gotten older, I've still kept this series as one of my favorites because of the clean, inspiring, and Christian content.
Finley writes about situations that girls today can relate to, and best of all, she is constantly tying in biblical lessons throughout each book.

I laughed, I cried, and I was so disappointed to finish the last book! I want more!
I highly recommend these books to all girls looking for something wholesome to read, in the world of Twilight and Hunger games.
This is definitely a series you'll want on your shelf!

I SO WISH that these books had been around when I was in junior high! These are Christian historical fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed them and grew in my faith from them -- and I read them as an adult! My mom read them, too, and she and I had so many great discussions. They influenced my current work as a writer of Sunday school curriculum for kids.

LOVE these books. Millie is my favorite character in the series. She is strong, confident, smart and a pioneer (and of course, pioneers are awesome!). She is also funny and the situations that everyone has to get through are enjoyable to read about. You'll fall in love with characters other than Millie, especially Rhoda Jane and Gordon, Charles and Cyril and Don.

I love this series because Millie, the protagonist in these books, is so easy to sympathize with and understand. I have read this series multiple times and always learnt something new that I can apply to my daily life as a Christian.
