Martin and Katie are on a school trip to an old mill. Their teacher tells them the story of the miller's wife, who long ago kept the mill bright and clean. But is there more to the old tale?
I think it was very good because it brought my imagination to life and it was very funny, they wanted to do some ghost hunting.I also like the front cover because when I read the title I thought of what was going to happen in the story and I turned the back over which showed me the blurb.I knew that this story was going to be a good story.I like the way she said'The children gazed at the tapestry, who's the red-faced man on the donkey?'asked Alice. That told me its good to describe that what you see is what you have to say to make your answer sound right. My imagination was that there was a girl and a boy who saw a hunted house and they wanted to explore the house until they find the mystery but as they looked they saw a ghost so they run and tell there class the next day.And the teacher did not believe so they went to the hotel and checked and that were they found the ghost vampire so they all ran away and never came again. But after I read the book I new that my imagination was kind of right. And my question was why were they running from the house in the first place? second one how did they get there?the third one who was with them and the last one is where did they come from and why brought them to the place?I thought it was Halloween and they trick a treating in a hunted house and they saw a ghost so they ran away this was my second imagination .My connection was that it reminded me of my own story called a Halloween to remember when I was in fifth class its kind of the same with only kid going trick or treat. THANK YOU FOR READING MRS RYAN BY CASSANDRA SHOGBANMU
So, I read this with some of my children. They decided to rate the book a 4 because it had an exciting start, good descriptions and they liked that it was scary. They recommend this book to 9-12 year olds.
