Este libro fue como escuchar un capítulo de Gilmore Girls: cozy, chismecito de pueblo, cafésitos y una librería como escenario principal. Y si eso es lo que buscas → perfecto.

Grace Carter vuelve a Willowbrook después de una ruptura y, obvio, se reencuentra con Ben Jacobs, su mejor amigo de la infancia y primer amor. Entre libros, brownies y la vibra del pueblo, Grace tiene que decidir si este lugarcito es solo una parada en su vida o el sitio donde realmente pertenece.

💭 Opinión: bonito es, ligero también, pero no me voló la cabeza. Es de esos libros que están hechos para acompañar un domingo tranqui con un café en mano ☕

This book was incredibly cute. If you're a reader that needs a book to compare it too, think of The Dream Harbor series!

I wouldn't say this is the most unique book out there, but it was well done. I did find that points of it were incredibly slow and felt more like filler rather than actual plot, but when we did get plot related sections, it was interesting.

I did like the romance in the book as well.. it wasn't the most prominent, but when we did get some romance, it was nice. The love interest she has is such a cinnamon roll and we love that.

I do see that this is a series.... If I'm being 100% honest, I don't think this book is THAT interesting to continue on, but it's just interesting enough where I'm wanting to read book two to see where it goes. So this is definitely not a book for everyone, but I'm glad I came across it.

This is a cute book. Fast to read, has a lot of small town, entrepreneur vibes, as well as love resurfacing after years. I liked that it is an every-day, mundane story. Not too over the top. The drama is mild. However, it is not 4 or 5 stars because a lot of the inner thoughts of the main character are repetitive, and the reflections are said many times in the same chapters, instead of the storyline, dialogues and actions taking us through our own thoughts about what happens to the character. It feels as if the author is telling you what to think of the characters, instead of the pages and themselves exploring themselves and just being.

I had to force myself to finish this book. The characters and plot had no depth and honestly just seemed thrown together. It was very basically written and felt as if it was a child, not an adult who was the author. The author chose to tell rather than show, which got to be repetitive and boring. I appreciated that it was a sweet and clean romance, and when I read the summary I thought it had potential. Sadly, I don’t think the idea was fully developed.

Very cute town and I expected to like it more than I did by the end..

The plot was obvious from the start which took away some of the wondering about whether or not the main couple would get together.
Even the dramatic points were resolved so easily and quickly.

If you’re someone wanting a quick easy clean romance where you’re not left guessing, then this book would be perfect for you.
May still ready the others in the series as I like the concept..

Love Rekindled

A wholesome contemporary hometown romance. This was spot on the perfect book. The characters are loyal, friendly and like family. I felt the charm of willowbrook come to life. Thus is uplifting and inspiring book that hooks you right away. Thank you Skye Hudson, I'm a new fan for sure. Enjoy

There’s no plot to this book?

It’s literally just overly described scenes of painting a shop with an ex.

I didnt DNF it but I was hoping there would be some kind of plot to the book but I ended it feeling like half of the book was missing.

Me enamore totalmente de esta historia, nada de dramas, chismecito de pueblo. pero creo que me sentí identificado en muchas cosas.
Principalmente mi sueño, algo que siempre he querido es tener una librería, un lugar en dónde me sienta como en casa, tal como le pasa a Grace, la protagonista.

Después de una ruptura de compromiso, Grace regresa a su pueblo natal, en dónde quiere comenzar a conocerse, a veces tenemos la idea que retroceder es perder y solo es para agarrar vuelo, saber en qué parte del camino dimos la vuelta mal.

Y en el camino encontró a un viejo amigo, nuevo amor.

Obviamente seguiré con esta serie. me gustó mucho.

Grace dopo aver mandato a monte il fidanzamento decide di tornare nella cittadina in cui è nata Willowbrook nella speranza di ritrovare un po’ di serenità e, perché no, di realizzare il suo sogno ed aprire una libreria.
Anni prima se n’era andata, lasciando il suo migliore amico Ben, nonché suo primo amore, senza guardarsi troppo indietro per iniziare la sua vita in città.
Al suo ritorno ritrova i vecchi amici, i vecchi negozi della sua infanzia e ovviamente ritrova Ben.
Proprio nella strada principale c’è un negozio in vendita e Grace decide di inseguire il suo sogno comprando il negozio nella speranza di aprirci la sua libreria.
Ben si offrirà per aiutarla con i lavori di ristrutturazione e con gli scaffali e gli altri mobili necessari al negozio e questo permetterà ai due di riavvicinarsi e ritrovarsi.
I personaggi sono abbastanza bene caratterizzati e le descrizioni dell’ambiente rendono bene le atmosfere un po’ fiabesche e fuori dalla realtà.
La trama di per sé è un pochino scontata ma carina, peccato che la traduzione abbia reso quasi impossibile leggere il libro.
I tempi verbali sono completamente sbagliati, così come i soggetti che passano dal tu al lei senza nessun senso e generi che non vengono rispettati rendendo difficile seguire i dialoghi; sembra proprio una traduzione fatta con Google senza che nessuno l’abbia riletta.

ok che si deve esaltare il potere tranquillizzante delle small city, va bene che tutto deve avere il sapore della serenità, ma accidenti: NON SUCCEDE NULLA IN QUESTO LIBRO! tutti gentili, tutti educati, tutti in punta di piedi, zero conflitti, zero passioni, zero assoluto. Noia mortale
