A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.
A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

DNF at 50% I got bored. This revolved around h's daughter's high school drama with a mean girl. I hate when MC's in their 30s & 40s are written as immature.
5 star review Hot For The Teacher (The Single Moms of Seattle #1) by Whitley Cox
Book one in the latest series from Whitley Cox and if this book is anything to go by she has another winning series on her hands. I was riveted from the first to the last chapter and could not put this one down, reading well into the night. If you loved the Single Dads of Seattle series, then you are going to love this one.
Hot For The Teacher is Celeste and Max’s story and oh what a story it was. Celeste is mom to teenage Sabrina and a widow at the ago of 33. Max was Celeste’s teacher when she was at school and coincidentally is now Sabrina’s teacher. Every Saturday night Celeste and her two girlfriends, meet for wine and chat, it is something that they have come to rely on one another.
When Max and Celeste re connect, the attraction and chemistry between them sizzles. Sabrina is having a hard time at school thanks to being bullied and Celeste is so worried she shares her concerns with Max as well as the School’s principal and counsellor. However things are complicated and as the issue escalates both Celeste and Sabrina are in the firing line.
What will happen when Sabrina finds out about the relationship that is blossoming between Celeste and Max? What will happen when the bullying becomes dangerous? The writing was strong and the author handled the subject of bullying well. There were times that I felt sick and the levels that some of the characters stooped too and it really took me back to my own time at high school and it also made me glad that I am no longer there.
This story made me laugh, made me tear up and had me on the edge of my seat at times. It was steamy and emotional and I loved the relationship that Celeste had with the other women. Max was totally swoon worthy and I cannot wait for the book in the next series.
What an amazing story of the single women's club. Meeting drinking wine and talking about their love life. Hot for the Teacher is Celeste's story finding her former teacher Mr. Travis. He is not her teacher anymore but he can still teacher her things. Celeste was young and in love and pregnant at 18. She did get married to her love. She is now a very young widow with a teenage daughter. All three of them are fighting different battles in the same war zone high school. Celeste is fighting for Sabrina trying to be a good single mom. Fighting against a school bully and her mother. Eleanor Shelby is the bully she is angry wanting to wreak havoc for all. Sabrina is the girl in high school that everyone likes without games. So that makes it even harder. Then there is Mr. Travis aka Max sexy ads man is back in town to start over. He gets a teaching position at the same high school. So dose he go for the girl who he is falling for or dose he leave his teaching behind? The story was well written and fun to read. The student teacher in the past is funny. Fighting real life situations and how to handle it. Everyone deserves a second chance at love and a future. Even when you take on a three headed monster and WIN. Read Celeste and Max' s love story. The math adds up to happiness.....
They met first when he was he high school math teacher but she only had heart eyes for her man. They meet again 15 years later and BAM! The sparks start flying!
I love how this book read just like a continuous tale of their lives. They were adults and had adult conversations about adult problems.
They didn’t ever fight but had a couple of disagreements that they worked through.
The underlying mystery of the mean girl in the story was interesting and helped them shape their Relationship and how they wanted to proceed with it.
And the sexy times were 🔥🔥🔥! This sounds like a walking wet dream lol
The end was very satisfying and the epilogue was just a cherry on top.
My only complaint, and it’s SUPER minor and nit-picky, was the British slang terms that kept appearing. It’s a book set in America and some of the terms used just aren’t used here. (Knickers/bagged for drunk are two that stood out)
This is the 1st in a new series and what a fantastic beginning this story is. Celeste is a widow and single mom to her daughter Sabrina, and a chance meeting with an ex teacher of hers Max Travis, whom she used to have a huge crush on. When Sabrina is being bullied at school her momma mode comes out in full force, only to find out that Max is her teacher. This is a well written story which is humorous, emotional, and with witty banter, passion, and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout, and I cannot wait to read more in this amazing series, and I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.
When the Single Dads series ended (I was sad it ended) but also so excited for this series. And Whitley didn't disappoint after all those teasers! The familial value and relationship in this one are just so strong and I loved Celeste and Sabrina's bond even more. They're like mother/daughter goals! Their banter alone keeps you entertained. And don't even get me started with Max. He's HOT and SEXY! It was wonderful to see Celeste and Max’s relationship develop while they're navigating with Sabrina's high school drama.
I know I’m going to love this series as much as I did with the Single Dads series. With that, I can't wait for the next one!
Whitley Cox has done it again with her brand new series 'The Single Moms of Seattle'. Another exceptional piece of writing and again set within a brilliant emotional filled story. Ms Cox never fails to bring real depth to her writing!
I loved the direction this story has taken; as the stories is set around Celeste's daughter Sabrina and the awful bullying that she has started to endue at school by one girl. We all know girls can be unkind (sorry but it is a fact) they can be darn right awful and unfortunately for Sabrina because she is a nice girl she has caught the attention of the bully of the school Eleanor Shelby-it doesn't help that Elanor's ex boyfriend likes Sabrina as well - double trouble.
Celeste has been a widow for a number of years her daughter is her life she is the 'momma bear' and nobody is going to hurt her 'cub'. So while she is dealing with life as a mom to a teenager who is going through a really bad time; Celeste's companion is her BOF also known as 'Henry Cavill' .
When Celeste bumps into her old maths teacher (6 years age difference in case you wondered) — well wow Mr Max Travis has turned into one hell of a fine man — still shy, still giving of that dorky vide but with abs that go on for days - but don't let that fool you when it comes to the bedroom (or any surface really) it is Mr Travis that likes to take control😜.
One look at Celeste and Max knows he is in trouble as he can't stop thinking about the now older and beautiful mom!. The only trouble is Max has just taken up a job at the school where Sabrina is and not only that he is her teacher.
As the bully ramps up, Max and Celeste get closer but they are about to get caught in the cross fire will these two get their happy ending or will Celeste remain a 'Single Mom of Seattle'.
Just loved this story - If you haven't read the Single Dads of Seattle I cannot recommend it highly enough — Hired by the Single Dad. Each story is unique, is story has depth.
So excited for the continuation of this book world from Whitley! After the single fathers had their turn, I was so excited to find out that Whitley would continue this series with one for the single moms! Celeste got pregnant her senior year of high school, and shortly into her marriage she became a widow and a single mother. Getting back to the US after teaching overseas, Max is at the mall and sees his former student Celeste with her daughter. When they find out that Max is teaching at Celeste’s daughter’s school, it gives them even more of a chance to reconnect and the ability to learn about each other on a different, more adult level. But as Celeste’s daughter continues to have trouble with a bully, and Celeste having a similar issue with the bully’s mother, it puts her and Max in a tough situation, one that might potentially ruin their budding relationship. Per usual, I loved Whitley’s writing and the storylines she comes up with. I can’t wait to see who’s next in this series, especially after meeting a few of the single moms in this book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Oh man all I can say is I'm glad i'm not in high school anymore... Girls are mean...
Celeste has been a widow for a while and her daughter is the only thing she lives for and she will do anything to protect her little girl. When she bumps into her old math teacher she is totally blown off her game. She never had a crush on him in high school but now wow he has turned out to be totally hot and sweet and still as shy as ever. Max can't believe what a hot beautiful mom Celeste turned out to be and he just knew that he is in trouble with falling for his ex student. But it might not be as easy as Max took a new job teacher her daughter. And her daughter was not having the best time right now, with being bullied and doesn't seem like the bully is going to let up anytime soon. Will this make Celeste and Max grow closer or will it push them apart before their story has had a chance for a happy ending?
I enjoyed some of the previous Single Dad books and this one as the first book of the Single mom's was HOT. I loved that Max comes across as the sweet, shy dorky teacher, but man is he HOT in the bedroom. Definitely a story that had me hooked ❤ 😊

As a single mom right out of HS, Celeste has always put her daughter Sabina first. But a chance encounter at the mall reunites Celeste with her High School Math teacher, one that no longer seems old enough to have been her teacher. Through great conversation the two connect on more than just a friendship level. Will this connection cause an issue for Sabrina who just happens to be in his class? Or will this be an issue for Sabrina in other ways? With adorable characters and storyline that takes on a huge HS issue this was a great beginning to a new series. Whitley Cox proves once again that no matter if it is single dads or single moms - she sure know how to write great stories.
Hot For Teacher definitely lives up to its name with Max ensuring that things are steamy, heated and a little dirty. Celeste and Max’s story made me laugh, smile and had me at times on the edge of my seat. A story that was witty, emotional, passionate and one that as a parent was so relatable. This book did not disappoint and had me captivated from start to finish. As the single ladies of Seattle bring us into the heart of their little group we will fall in love with these sassy women, their cheeky banter and the journey they embark on to find out just what their hearts want.
This is the story of Celeste, a single mom of a teenager and Max Celeste's former teacher who reunite over a traumatic teenage shopping expedition. The two of them connect immediately, but its made much more difficult by single parenting drama as well as spillover drama from the high school where the daughter attends and Max teaches.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow burn, but when it was hot, it was 🔥🔥. The characters were likeable, great storyline, and the dialogue was witty and fun. Celeste and I share similar internal dialogue and parenting choices - so that was extra fun. This was my first book by Whitley Cox and ill definitely be reading another!
Since the first book that I've read from this author, I had just one thought. Brilliant. Her books are brilliant and will hook you up in a sec. Each book is special in its way and will make you dream a blush at some point. Whitley Cox is the bomb. Her writing is sweet and spicy, raw, and wild, and with so many feelings into the mix. Just go see for yourself and let me know. Hot for Teacher is her latest release and it's the first book from The Single Moms of Seattle series. This new book explores the lives of Celeste and Max. Celeste is a single mom that struggles each day to support her daughter and to live her life to the fullest. After losing her husband she needed to fend for them. On a shopping trip, she meets... Max is a teacher that lives for his profession. When he started working, he was super young and that becomes a problem. Girls wanted him and when he refused rumors started. Now, years later he's even more hot and divorced. One trip to the mall... Perfect and intense, that's the best way to describe this book. Amazing plot, very well written, super engaging, and sweet. But let's not forget hot as hell. Oh boy. Some scenes are hotter than hell. The characters shared great chemistry and you could see what bonded them. It was excellent to see how they connected with each other and the adversities the found. When this happens get bad, you must fight to make it better. There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone, really slap them silly but then there were others that I wanted to hold them tight. This book explores one subject that everyone should be aware of. Bullying. Everyone has someone that was bullied in school and what did you do? Some people tend to look the other way but that's not the way to solve it. Life not always is fair, but you must fight for what you believe and never give up. It was amazing to have news from the girls from the other books. I missed them. Can't wait for the next books from this series. Whitley you rock. I loved this book and I want more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
When the Single Dads of Seattle (SDoS) series ended, I was hopeful author Whitley Cox could pull another awesome series from this group and boy, did she! While these books (and all the SDoS books) can be read as standalones, I highly recommend the rest of the stories and I promise you won't regret getting to know all these overlapping characters!
Hot for Teacher is the first in the new Single Moms of Seattle series and it's dynamite. Celeste was barely 17 when she was in Max Travis' math class. She was young and in love with her boyfriend Declan and secretly pregnant, so she didn't pay much attention to the whispers about how sexy the math teacher was. Now at 33, a widow and single mom, she's all grown up and ready to appreciate running into her former teacher while shopping with her daughter. Turns out time has been good to Mr. Travis, or "professor washboard" as her wine buddies call him.
Even though Celeste is only 6 years his junior, she was his student and he never saw her as anything more than that. But now, she's all grown up and a sexy single mom. He's instantly attracted to her, despite the fact that her daughter, Sabrina, is in his math class, which could get messy. When Sabrina is targeted by the school's mean girl and subject to intense bullying, his new relationship with Celeste takes a serious hit. As they work together to try to stop the bullying, they themselves become part of the problem. All the drama leaves him asking the question, can their relationship survive high school??
If you loved the Single Dads of Seattle, you're going to adore this new series of mama bears! Max and Celeste were bright and funny and Max was deliciously sexy when he let his alpha dog out! Great new read by Ms. Cox!
What a great start to the new series, The Single Moms of Seattle and if Hot for the Teacher is anything to go by Ms Cox will certainly have another hit series on her hands. I was captivated from the first page to the last line and truth be told I was up most of the night because I needed to find out how Celeste and Max’s journey ended so be warned make sure you have time to read this in one sitting. Celeste was widowed at 33 and is now a single mom to a teenage daughter named Sabrina. Max was Celeste’s high school maths teacher and now he finds himself teaching Sabrina and that means connecting with the woman he knew all those years ago. Sabrina is having a hard time at school with bullies and Celeste is worried add in your mom is dating your teacher and her daughter could spiral out of control but she didn’t take into account how level headed Sabrina is and how caring Max is. Every Saturday the single moms meet for wine and to chat and it’s where this group of friends find support and talk issues through and just like the single dads of Seattle everyone of this group have a tale to tell. This book touched me on so many levels, I cried at the levels the bullies went to with Sabrina in fact it bought back memories of school (I was also bullied), I smiled and I laughed at the witty banter, the chemistry is sizzling and the characters are easy to connect with, so I guess all that left to say is please one click this gem of a read. Looking forward to the next instalment of The Single Moms of Seattle Club.
Hot, steamy relationship with great, sympathy-evoking content. This is a super book, centring around not just the undeniable attraction between Max, a Maths teacher and his one-time student, Celeste. The setting for the book explores the hardship of being a single mother, helping your child through vicious bullying, the fine line of guiding but not interfering and the constant examination of the choices adults make in order to ensure that the family unit is undisturbed and children’s feelings are at all times prioritised. The book is hot and steamy with respect to the description and the scenes dealing with the love connection between the protagonists while remaining socially aware of responsibilities and expectations. The characters, including the negative ones also, have been well developed and described with all dialogue being scene and character appropriate. The style of writing is easy flowing with good use of the language, vocabulary, and good grammar along with sound editorial attention, making this a good quality, pleasant and interesting novel. There is a well-deserved HEA for Celeste and Max with a message that love happens at any age and being on the right side of human decency will justifiably win over aggressors and meanness.

I was so upset when The Single Dads of Seattle ended because they were absolutely amazing men on top of being highly addictive as they went on new journeys, but I should have known that Whitley Cox would start another series which looks to be as great with The Single Moms of Seattle. I'm telling you no one can write single parent romance like this amazing author, and I hope she keeps doing it for years to come. Celeste was a teenager when she got pregnant, but many years later, now she's a widow with a teenage daughter named Sabrina. It just so happens that Sabrina is in Max's class, and Max was actually Celeste's math teacher back in the day. (In case you were wondering, it's only a 6 year age difference). Oh, and Celeste has her Saturday Night girl time with her sassy friends, and they were awesome together & made me laugh. Anyway, things take a turn when Sabrina finds herself being bullied which is escalating quickly. These two have major chemistry and they start off on a new journey neither of them saw coming. However, will they still be together in the aftermath of Sabrina's bully?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
4.5 Stars I was sad to see the Single Dads of Seattle series end so I was super excited for this spin off Single Moms of Seattle. I likes the cameos of some of my favorite characters. It made me super giddy. This book kicks off with a bang and I'm already eagerly awaiting the next book. I loved Max and Celeste. Great chemistry between them. Max's description and his personality make him yummy. Then he throws in he saying if he rescued geriatric cats would that get him lucky. Yes sir, for this cat lover you'd be getting lucky every day just sayin'. I dislike bullies so much. It's personal because I was bullied in school. I could relate to Celeste's daughter Sabrina. It made me feel good to see the inner strength these characters have. Max got even more bonus points for his understanding of Celeste and Sabrina's situation. I mean it's tough for a student's mom dating her teacher. I loved Celeste's single mom friends especially sine one is Liam's sister. I truly can't wait for her book! This book has heat, heart, and humor. A winning combination in my book. This series has me already sold!
This is one of my go to authors and she is back with her new series that chronicals the single moms in Seattle and it is off with a bang. One thing to love about Ms. Cox’s writing is the realness and relatability of her characters, that are in realistic situations. Celeste is dealing with her fifteen-year-old daughter Sabrina when she accidentally runs into her former math teacher, Max. Like many young women in high school, there was that one teacher that everyone crushed on and for Celeste, Max was the one. The chemistry between the two is palpable but the mall is not exactly the optimal place to see where things can go. Making matters more intriguing, Max garners a position at Sabrina’s high school as her teacher. There is so much going on with this storyline that is relatable from the dynamic of a mother dating her child’s teacher to Sabrina dealing with the other students, and just being at “that age.” There is drama, steam, angst, and humor to make this one enchanting read from start to finish. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
Mr. Travis (Max) was her high school math teacher. He left the area for a few years, but is back now, waiting for a school assignment. Celeste was a teenage mother, married to her long-time high school boyfriend. He died in a construction accident eight years ago, so it's just Celeste and her daughter. Sabrina is being bullied at school. The mean girl's mother is a guidance counselor, who has hots for Max. But Max has the hots for Celeste, and vice versa. This is a terrific opening book to the author's new spin-off series. Much like the single dads, the single moms have weekly get-together, to commiserate with each other. And drink wine. I love Celeste - in many instances, she's the only person acting like an adult. Max - holy hotness! - what a great guy he turns out to be. It's great to see friends from the previous books show up to help her out with the bully problem. I can't wait for the next book.

This was a terrific read!! Celeste and Max's romance was simply epic. Their attraction was irresistible, their chemistry was off the charts and the sparks and steam they generated was scorching. Add in a bit of naughtiness and just a tiny hint of a forbidden element and this book was downright delicious!! I loved these characters so much. They did not feel like fantasy characters at all. They came across as very genuine and extremely relatable. I am a huge fan of age gap romance but freely admit that they can sometimes come off as feeling forced or too contrived and that was not an issue at all here. Aside from the wonderful romance that is unfolding here, this book also provides plenty of drama, tension, emotional turmoil, humor, angst. Max and Celeste's love story is the star of this show but trust me when I say that there is much more to this read than that and it is all incredibly good!! This is my independent, impartial review.
I adored the Single Dads series, they all stole a piece of my heart. That said, Max is giving them a run for their money. Celeste's friends in the Single Moms club had me laughing from the get-go. They are going to be wild, I'm sure. The way Celeste meets Max while school shopping for her daughter is the definition of fate. The spark, the attraction between them is electric. The added conflict of Celeste's daughter and the bullying got my blood pressure going through the roof. This is an age gap romance without really an age gap. Max wasn't that much older than his students when he started teaching and Celeste had to grow up quickly when she found out she was pregnant right after graduation. Her husband's passing was handled perfectly, having been gone for eight years. I have to say this story gave me all the butterflies, all the giddiness you could possibly ask for in a romance. I cannot wait for Lauren's book, Hot for a Cop!
Being a single mom is rough. Being the single mom of a teenaged girl is worse. Sabrina is a good kid. Unfortunately, she's been targeted by the popular mean girl at school. How's a mom supposed to help without making it worse? Will her hot math teacher make it better or worse?
Max used to be her teacher a long time ago. She was only his student then. Now, she's a gorgeous woman whose daughter might be in his class if he gets the teaching job.
The chemistry is strong. The characters you can't help but cheer on. And their friends--old friends for those who have read the Single Dads of Seattle series. The storyline is all too close to what many kids deal with today.
Plenty of steam, some nasty characters, old friends all add up to a great romance--IF--the feelings are strong enough to get past it all. Read to find out. You'll be glad you did. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
15 years ago, Max was her math teacher and now he is teaching her daughter Sabrina. Their history aside, there is a new, strong attraction. Celeste is a widowed single mom. There is their budding relationship, a unhappy cougar guidance counselor and a mean girl torturing Sabrina at school. Like the single dads of Seattle series, Whitley is spinning great stories about the single moms related and associated with their group. Plenty of angst to go around and the pitfalls of owning a teenage girl. Bullying is addressed and the options to deal with it. Lots of snark between the couple is very entertaining. The book as a whole was very well written with developed characters and intelligent storylines. After getting started, it was impossible to put down until I finished at 2:30 am. The teaser sneak peek was mean and I can’t wait for to come out. Another good series in the making! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This is a spin off from the Single Dad's of Seattle and now it's the Single Mom's turn and I'm so happy to see it!!
Celeste is a single mom to a teenage daughter who is about to start high school. As we all know most teenagers must have the next "In Thing" or their world will end forever. An embarrassing thing occurs in the store when Celeste get's distracted by her hot and former math teacher, Max. This situation ends up causing a lot of drama and heart ache for Celeste's daughter which helps to bring Celeste and Max close together.
This was a well written, heart string tugging, roller coaster ride of emotions that I can not wait to read more of. Strong story line, great characters, engaging dialogue and easy to visualize detailed descriptions with a HEA ending.
Would I recommend this book? Yes!!
Would I read more from this author? Yes!

I loved the single dads of Seattle so why wouldn't I jump at a chance to read the single moms of Seattle and I wasn't disappointed at all This is a book that is just sheer fun i laughed so hard in parts that I almost cried
Celeste is the single mum to a fifteen year old girl Sabrina and that girl is been bullied at school so enter the mumma bear as she jumps to her daughters defence At the same time she also discovers that he daughters math teacher is Max the same young teacher that she had years ago, she had no interest in him then but now that is the case he is filled out and is everything she could want in a man But is it safe to date her daughter's teacher or will that be a conflict Can they have a future together You will have to read to see. I am looking forward to more single mom stories.
When Celeste was in high school she had her hands full with the boy she loved and the baby they were expecting rather than Max, her sexy math teacher. A decade and a half later life has come full circle as her husband has passed away and now her teenage daughter Sabrina is being taught math by Max as well.
When Max and Celeste reunite, they are both at different points in their lives and no longer teacher and student. They have an immediate chemistry and connection but when their relationship is put to the test by Sabrina being his student and complications of her drawing the ire of the wrong person they must decide if what they have is worth fighting for.
Filled with emotion, humor and heat this story addresses a socially prominent issue with great characters who draw you in and have you invested in their happy ever after.
