So this story had a premise that I was interested enough in to push past the writing style. However, the inconsistencies in the story drove me up a wall. Some were small like saying her favorite color was purple like her gift bag in the beginning and then saying it’s green like the paint she wants to use on the walls of her new home. Some inconsistencies were big though- in the same inner monologue she would be understanding of what Aarick said happened and relieved that he never betrayed her and then immediately be like “no you betrayed me and let another woman touch you.” Another example is her being like “oh I never should have left.” But then also being like “you hurt me, I’m not coming back.”
And to be clear - Aarick was SA-ed and then proceeded to get left by his mate all while hating himself that someone else assaulted him which wasn’t his fault. “I shouldn’t have been alone in my father’s office waiting for him while she was there.” My dude, that’s like saying you deserved it because your skirt was short.

3.5 stars. A decent shifter book. (possible spoilers ahead)
The night of h's 18th birthday, her Lycan did not come in (I guess on your 18th birthday, your Lycan wolf comes out). The Lycan was there and everybody could feel it, but the Lycan told h that it wasn't time to show itself yet. h was an Alpha's daughter, but she was considered an Omega. The Lycan liked to marry their Alphas to Omegas. The Omegas tended to "level" out the Alphas and keep them from raging.
H's father told him that he had arranged for him to be married. H was dating this woman (OW) in his pack and told his dad he would marry her since he had not found his fated mate yet.
Dad told him NO, and that he had to marry h. (Dad also told H that he was not smart and that you don't ever sleep with a woman in your pack. You always go outside the pack for that or else it would come back to bite you in the end)
H was supposed to take over as Alpha from his dad, but his dad kept jerking him along about it. People in the kingdom were growing tired of Dad because he was not a good guy.
H and h met and they knew immediately they were fated mates. This was supposed to be a good thing. They had the ceremony the next day and marked each other. Both were happy. They had lots of smex for a few days.
H goes to his house to prepare for his mate to arrive. OW is in his room. He makes her leave and tells her not to come back. H then brings h to start their life together. H starts to withdraw a little from h. H was "in his head" a lot because he knew he needed to challenge his dad for the Alpha spot. During a party with a bunch of Alphas, there was a bunch of tension going on. Well, h was able to do something from her Lycan that calmed everybody down. Dad didn't like that at all. He controlled all the Alphas by keeping them fighting with each other.
h found out she was pregnant. She went to look for H.
At the same time, H went to his dad's office for a meeting, but his dad wasn't there. OW was there, though. He was telling her to leave because she was mostly naked. h started to feel H was stressed down their bond line, and sent out calming vibes to him while she was trying to find him
lol- well, she walked in and the OW was straddling H and kissing him.
He said the dreaded words "it's not what it looks like" and boy, that must be the equivalent to saying "calm down" because h went "I reject you" and she took off fast.
H killed OW and took off after his mate, but she was faster and had already left.
1 year later and h has a baby boy. She's living in the human town, working at a bakery.
H has been looking for her this whole time. He shows up at the bakery. BOTH have been celibate during their time apart.
So I do appreciate the fact that h sort of knew she may have acted really hasty rejecting him without giving him a chance to explain. H grovels some, and they do quickly work through their problems. He finds out about the baby boy. He's not angry because he really does understand what he did wrong. (From her POV, we know she was angry because H had even let himself be in the position where another woman could straddle him and be almost naked. As soon as he saw the OW, he should have left right away.
They have a picnic, and a rogue threatens them. h's Lycan finally shows herself. SHE IS A WHITE WOLF. Supposedly, white wolves are a myth. They are considered powerful because they can unite Lycans.
Dad meets with h and threatens her and the baby. Dad tells h that he wants H to marry somebody else. (I guess the reason he doesn't want his son to have his fated mate is because it would make the son powerful. Dad doesn't want his son to be powerful. We also randomly find out from H's POV- he remembers that his dad killed his brother a long time ago because he's brother was gaining more Alpha power.
h tells H about the threat. They remark on each other and have smex.
Then they go to battle with the dad. Naturally, H wins, and the dad dies.
H is crowned Lycan King. Then h goes up on the stage and turns into the white wolf. All the people bow to her. Then they go have smex. lol
It was a decent book. H was a decent guy who legitimately made a mistake. Technically, because h sent out those calming vibes down the bond was the main reason he wasn't able to get OW off him fast enough. BUT....he really should have never entered that room once he saw her almost fully naked. I did laugh at this part of the book when he was looking at OW. hahahaha
"I noticed her dress was a low enough cut that I had a full view of her breasts. I made sure to keep my eyes up and focused on her face. This was a trap I would not fall for."

I had a hard time with this, the mmc is sexually assaulted, and the fmc thinks he cheated on her. She runs away without hearing any explanation. He feels guilty the whole time with all the things he could've done differently. When he finally finds her and explains what happened, she still doesn't trust him and he has to grovel to win her back. She also waited to tell him about their son. She was already unlikeable to me to begin with, and I hated her from that point.

It feels like the shell of something that could have been great.
I finished it because out of respect to the effort of the author. I don't know much about them but I always like to encourgae people for going for it. So yeah, I am not that mad I bought this.
Now for the review of this story itself:
There is barely andy character development, the flow of the story is pretty much non-xistent.
leading to a story ending that comes across as abrupt and unsatisfying. There was so much potential with the trope but again with little to no development no true depth to any character or the story, balf of the things they did had no justification within the story. And if you're in it for the spice this is Vanilla and every spicy bit is pretty much a copy of the previous one. Which is fine if you're into it, but with the hint at the Brat/Dom dynamic, it felt like a missed opportunity.
It reads like the first attempt of writtin romance, of someone that has little to no experience with IRL intimacy.
Putting all of this, the typos, and mistakes with the names here and there, and considering most of the werewolf stories out there this at least has a coherent structure, but that is about as much grace as I can give it.
Please do read it, it may just be your style of writting. I will be trying another book from them to see if they evolved, and I'll probably stop there if it's the same thing

This book had some good moments to it, and the writing style was OK. That being said, though, there were many problems with it that seem to be so prevalent in shifter novels. I don't know what it is about wolf shifter books that people don't bother to have them edited or proofread, but it happens again and again. These are some of the reasons why I usually stay away from shifter novels.
I did like that there was something different in this book in that she rejected him, rather than the other way around. Normally all these books follow the same template of the woe-is-me girl who is wronged, but in this case it was different. I found it to be refreshing.
All that isn't enough to make up for the many many many technical issues, however. The book was a nice light read, nothing really too heavy. But there were so many errors in there with missing punctuation all over the place, misspelled words and even the wrong words used (such as mother instead of brother, or meta instead of beta). I'm starting to seriously think nobody bothered to proofread these.
Story-wise it was so seriously heavily foreshadowed about the white lycan, that it wasn't even a shock that she was. It didn't really mean anything when proven true, and it fell flat.
I do not recommend this book to anyone. There are so many better ones out there. Maybe if the author were to have a few people actually proofread the book and make the necessary technical changes, I would give it another star.

Nice read!
I enjoyed this book. However, with that said, it left quite a bit unfinished, which I felt should have been included to make it complete, in my opinion. It would have left a better feeling to have some conclusions or loose ends tide up. Like, what about the Queen? This was a missed opportunity for more depth and completeness. She could have brought more feelings and energy with her experiences from living with the King and his ways, killing their child, what he was doing to their younger prince now, how she felt about and felt with his death and her sons rise to power. Then there are her parents and how they responded to her situation, meeting their grandchild, and her rise to power and embracing the fact she was the white lycan. And the other odds and ends, the lycan they encountered and his King, the bakery owners, her sister in laws pregnancy...just missed opportunities for wholeness. But it was still pretty good and a fun little read!

this was a fun read
I really enjoyed this. The pacing was nice and the writing didn’t go around in circles like most in this genre tend to do. LOVED Tala. She’s one of the reasons that made this an easy and quick read. The author didn’t make her personality irritating and unlikeable. She was the perfect amount of fire and sass, quite a match for Aaric. My only gripe is how anticlimactic the whole shift reveal was. I sort of expected it happening in front of a larger crowd for a bigger fanfare and impact considering how long Tala’s lycan kept putting it off, but instead it happened in kind of a small semi-insignificant moment with random unknown character as witness.

Good read...
There were a few inconsistencies but they were not so great they they made a material difference.
I enjoyed the story of the main couple plus the brother and his sisters best friend. I would like to read more of Becca and mason.
Roxy and the king met their demise and I wish the fights had been a little longer.
She finally changed into her wolf or Lucas but he already knew who she was....

darn those IG
So I saw an IG of this story. While this story was decent, the IG really sold it. Needless to say, I’m glad it was a short read though still entertaining. I feel like I may have needed to read the prior books? It seemed like there was some history with Tala’s parents, in laws and sibling/bff. Felt like they just disappeared, so I’m assuming they all have their own story?

Good Fated Mates Romance
I really enjoyed this. Some of the people who read this weren't fans and it worried me but I really enjoyed this. Was it a bit tacky? Yes but it was still so good. I love how the magic in this world worked. I will say that the synopsis was not correct in the gender of the child and didn't really accurately describe some aspects of the book but I really enjoyed it. I kind of want to read some of the other books in this series.

super wordy
It felt like everything had to be described, every feelings had to be told, and every slight had to righted. I thought Aaric took on way too much of the blame, and that the whole story could have been better if she had stayed and fought by his side. The plot would have been slightly different, but story would have been more solid. It wasn’t a bad book, it was just daunting to get through.

Out of all the FAK series this was the only one I foccing HATE and I've read all 80 of them. The MMC deserved better because the FMC is a dumb and stupid biiitch. She was painted as this strong lycan but I did not feel that at all and instead she made my blood boil to the point I wish she was not the FMC

The book was good. I just wish the writer showed us the future with them as King and Queen. It left a lot of questions. Plus the description of the book was not correct.
