I fucking hate Duke. Please please please Jda don't have Lani take him back!! I'm begging you lol. OMG I cried when I found out he cheated on her. I think I cried through the rest of the book after finding out. Then that shit turned to hatred once he tried to flip the table and started showing his true colors. Disrespecting her and denying their twins was the final straw for me. Ain't no going back after that. THEN HE KEPT HAVING SEX WITH THE GIRL AFTER THE FACT! THAT'S A FUCK NO!! The audacity of him thinking him sexing Lani would make things right after he's stuck his dirty dick in Ashley made me hate his ass more! Please just let them coparent. Hell I'll be okay if she and Chop worked it out. He's shown some maturity. I knew Duke was too good to be true . The way he handled Lani after she didn't flat out forgive him turned me off. How he did Keli too was a turn off but I thought "he found his one and so he'd do right by her". Ninja ain't shit either. Then to find out she's really the plug🤣🤣 that's what his ass gets! And why did he still let Keli live after she showed up at his house trying to seduce him?! He knew she and Ashley set him up but still slept with Ashley again after the fact knowing she was part of the reason he lost Lani. Make it make sense. If Lani ends up with this ninja, imma be pissed.
OK now my rant about Duke is over lol. I'd like to say the second book didn't disappoint. I am kinda mad it ended in another cliffhanger though. Like dang Jda let Lani have her happily ever after already! Idk with who tho. I'm team Chop now. Let that be known! Hell she can fall in love with Alex I'll be on with that. Anyways I'm not liking how Lani and the crew moving though. I understand why she was distracted but she could've been letting other people handle Swiggs. At least looking for him. Now all hell about to break loose cuz he don't know any better. Then it seems the delusional wore off from Candy so now she's sane only for it to be too late probably. There's no way Lani won't punish her some way once she finds out her little secret. I hope book 3 is right around the corner. And it's the finale. My emotions can't take any more🙄🤣

I had so much hope for Duke, but now… I’m lowkey back on Team Chop. The way this story flipped had me questioning everything I thought I wanted for Lani.
Lani is stuck between love and loyalty, and you can feel every ounce of that tug-of-war in her choices. Duke’s trying his hardest, but how do you compete with history and a bond like hers and Chop’s? The tension, the emotion, the chaos—it’s all there, and it keeps you turning the pages like your life depends on it.
These ninjas really be messing with some wild women, forreal. Secrets, danger, lies—it’s nonstop. Whew is all I can say as I dive straight into book 3 for the finale. J'da J has me hooked and ready for everything to finally be revealed.

These characters had me so stressed out & they took me on a journey. Characters were complex & not one dimensional which adds so much to the story. Short chapters keep you locked in & pacing was great. The multiple POVS added depth to the story.
I cannot wait for the last book to see how the author wraps up their stories.

Whew, Lani was doing way too much. I’m sorry but it should’ve been a wrap for Duke. Then she doing too much for Candy, like be frfr. Candy making it this long is really blowing me. IDC how much she’s “changed”, she violated in the worse way and needs to be handled. And why did Duke let Keli make it. He should’ve put a bullet in her head when she showed up at his house.
Then, it’s like they forgot about Swigs until he showed up. Chop didn’t even try to figure out who hit him. They were all slipping😫
You got me in my feelings real bad, but I guess that means you did your job. Bravo👏🏾

Part 2 picked up right where we left off. It’s driving me crazy that Candy is getting away with her ill deeds. I was hoping Duke would be that ninja 🥷 but I can understand why Lani would leave him with her history. Chop is waiting in the wings but at the end of the day he did her worse, sigh I hate when none of the options are new. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next part.

Sorry for the long Review.😊
This is one of the best series I have read. I like Lani character. She is a strong independent woman. But what makes me mad is how she has bad luck with men. I hate that Duke turned out to be another failed relationship. I really had high hopes for the two of them. Duke cheating on Lani really shocked me. I understand how he felt but that does not justify his actions. I can’t say I really understand Lani and Chop’a relationship. It makes me mad how she still allows him to be so emotionally close to her. It pissed me off so bad when she and Chop had intercourse. I had to take a break from the story because I am so disappointed in her. I was proud on her for standing on business but I also wanted her to take a break from their friendship. Duke “blow up” had me not liking him. He claimed to be better but eventually he ended up treating Lani the same way as Chop. Cheating was disrespectful, making assumptions and calling her out her name was disrespectful. Lani made me mad again when she had intercourse with Duke. I know it’s hard to let those emotional connections go, but she still shouldn’t have allowed it. I hate when these men characters try to force women into being with them after they mess up their something good. I hope they don’t kill Candy. The more I read about her, the more I start to like her. Pregnancy has really changed her, I hate how she played a part in attempting to have Lani killed. Another thing I am not a fan off of is skipped scenes. The characters speak in the past tense about things we never read in this book. I would have to love to read about Lani and Duke meeting each others family and how the relationships grew.

I was vibing with the storyline, and then Milan was stupid enough to turn around and do what she did. After claiming that she would never do something like that .. Then she did it while pregnant. I'm all for get back but that was too much for me. Just bc Chop is NOW changing. Naw, I didn't like that at all. At first, I was upset at Duke, but his feelings about them turned out to be valid. I hate his communication issue at his big age. At this point, I'm not sure if I like any of the characters, and that's not good bc it's messing up the vibe. Im all about vibes when reading. I hate how this is going. But I'll keep reading

Love, lies, and a whole lot of delusion—this book had me yelling, laughing, and begging for more!
As I mentioned in my last review—Duke is still my favorite. Yes, he pissed me off in this one, but I get it. His past ways crept back in, and honestly, it made sense given everything he’s been through.
Lani is so stubborn—she refuses to see anyone else’s perspective when it comes to her and Chop’s relationship. This book took us everywhere with this group, and I was here for every chaotic, emotional, jaw-dropping minute.
I do appreciate that Chop finally started to see the error of his ways—though of course, it’s a little too late. He wanted to grow up after the damage had already been done.
And can we talk about Lani’s unhinged energy?! I was genuinely surprised—and somehow, it all came together perfectly. These women really are delulu for these men, and I loved every messy, dramatic second of it.

I had such a blast reading this series — total page-turner from start to finish! Book 2 did not let me down. I need more… like, where is Book 3 already?! Candy and Keli were seriously working my nerves, and Duke? Whew, he had a spot on my book bae list after Book 1, but now? Yeah… he’s officially off. Sad times. Lol.

Maybe it's just me but I'm honestly not a fan of Duke. Something just seems off. I will admit though that Chop is really a piss poor friend and nigga at this point because how can you be so blind to see that how you're treating Lani is literally worse than the scum of your shoe. That girl goes above and beyond.

love, hurt, spice, heartbreak
I was on a roller coaster with this one but I enjoyed every minute of it. Lani had me cursing her out so much because be for real, I knew chop was gone be the downfall of her relationship. Duke get a pass idc idc. I’m so ready for Kelli to get dealt with. Even Candy done grew on me.

Good story
As with the first book, there were to many errors and it took away from the story. I’m invested now so I will see it to the end. I want to see how the story unfolds for Lani. Fix the errors next book and you may be a good author.
