Pepper Ann wanted nothing more than to be a part of her father’s club. It was the closest thing to a family she had. With the rejection of him and the ugly realization of how he views her, Pepper finds herself feeling alienated, and the feeling doesn’t get better when her father’s past catches up to her.
Dion “Blade” Nixon wanted nothing more than revenge for his brother. To make his enemy feel his pain, he kidnaps the one thing Harold Wilson should care most about—his daughter. As his kidnap scandal comes to light, Dion quickly realizes he cares more about his victim than her own father does.
With nothing but time on their hands, Dion and Pepper find themselves catching feelings neither of them knew were possible. Will Pepper’s father come to her rescue, saving her from Dion’s grip, or will Dion have Pepper singing a new tune of love?
Monae Nicole is a Jersey girl currently residing in Texas. A lover of books since her teenage years, she began penning poems and short stories of her own when she was in high school. It wasn't until her adult years after encouragement from a friend, she decided to turn those short stories into novels and novellas. Being a lover of love despite your past circumstances motivates her to pen stories about second chances at love. Through her writing she wants readers to believe no matter what happens, there is love at the end of the tunnel. Blade is a brooding man out for revenge; And he may have also been looking to lock Pepper Ann down. During Peppers extended-stay she got fresh meals, brand new clothing, activities to keep her busy & a fine man to keep her company. A lil kidnapping never stopped these two from finding love.
This story is pretty tame in regard to the rival biker gang plot line. There isn’t any major conflict or action on page.
Ms. Monae, I enjoyed Blade and Pepper, but something was missing for me. I think I was expecting a little more umph. I wanted Blade to live up to his name. Although it was disheartening to read the hand, Pepper was dealt. Being a motherless child with a present but absent father has to be hard on any young adult. Her father just point blank did not care for his daughter. Meanwhile, you have other fathers who will literally go to the end of the Earth for their daughters. Blade was the man Pepper needed in her life. He gave her security, protection, and the family she yearned for. His mother came into Pepper's life at a critical moment. Blade may not have the most ethical way to demonstrate his feelings. However, he weasled himself into Pepper's heart. He also did what her father wouldn't. Blade gave Pepper unconditional love, something she needed.
So, Ms. Monae, here is the infamous question: Will Axe and Cayenne share their story? It was quite a few implications that they were closer than they put on. I would love to read their story because I know it's more to Axe than just his daytime career.
Pepper Ann wanted nothing more than to be a part of her father Harold's club, the Wilson Park Crusaders. After the final rejection, Pepper rides off on her bike to clear her mind. Dion “Blade” Nixon wanted nothing more than revenge for his brother. A chance encounter leads him right into the path of the unsuspecting Pepper. His initial plan was take away the one thing that means the most to Harold. Unfortunately for Dion, Harold is a horrible father leading him to realize he cares more for Pepper than her own father does.
As Pepper remains in his clutches, feelings arise, complicating matters. As Dion prepares for the possibility of retaliation from Harold he also struggles to remain focused on his initial plan.
As these two heartbroken souls continue to spend time together the harder it becomes to deny the brewing attraction.
Two lost souls are missing love for different reasons. An unconventional love connection, by way of a kidnapping. Who would've thought!
Blade and Pepper were perfect for each other. I love how she ended up breaking Blade down to open his heart and loose the anger he had towards her father over the loss of his twin. In regards to Pepper, a mother's love can never be replaced. Her mother passed, but to know that your living parent, her father, hates you, has to be devastating. However, she got the love she decided.
In the end, the joke was on Harrold, her father. He's still a miserable vindictive, hateful man, while Pepper Ann has moved on and found love and happiness.
I'm good at not reading another kidnapping story. This kidnapping made no sense, but oh well! Give me a MC thriller!
Mannn every time I saw Pepper Ann’s name I started singing the theme song to the tv show lol. But anyway…
I wasn’t really feeling this book. Blade (the character) felt a little deranged to me (and not in a sexy way). I was seriously wondering if he was okay. I liked Pepper Ann though. She was pretty chill and had a lot of common sense.
I didn’t feel the chemistry between Blade and Pepper Ann. Like, yeah they were attracted to each other, but there wasn’t anything that made me be like, “aww they really like each other 🥹”. Ya know? Plus the sex was as bland as boiled chicken.
And before the epilogue, I didn’t really buy that Pepper Ann had feelings for Blade. Pepper Ann just really wanted to feel love and wanted, and it kinda felt like she’d have feelings for any dude that showed her that. If Jalen wasn’t scared of her daddy, I think she would’ve been all in with him. Pepper Ann needed to work through her abandonment issues. If this book were longer, that journey would’ve been nice to read about.
Pepper Ann father was getting on my nerves the whole time like he was so sexist and say that why I feel a girl can’t take over. He was making it seem like she was a big huge problem.i was like pepper Ann don’t listen to your dad he doesn’t know what he talking about and go with the flow and be who you can be .it was like when blade kidnapped her he was like don’t care that her problem the only one that really care we’re here uncle and cousin or brother can’t remember.Blade shows her a side she didn’t feel like she could show anyone and I was like Yass gurl get your man and he was making her feel love like she never experienced before even though in the beginning she was messing with one of the prospects from her father club. Blade set that straight like this pussy mine no one else lol.
This was one of my least favorites with the BLP motorcycle series. One thing I love about most authors now is the details and descriptions of characters; like their skin color, their hair texture, their quirks, interesting facts about their habits or movements...yeah there was not much of that at all in this story. The love scenes were spicy but could have been way more spicier if more descriptions were used. Compared to 4 other BLP books I have read, this one fell flat for me. It also rushed and moved too fast. It was lazily written in my opinion. It also was a little silly and kind of a stupid reason for him to kidnap her, maybe if more details were provided maybe it would have been justified.
Blade: Blade Outlaws MC (BLP Motorcycle Club Book 12)
I am totally reading this series out of order, but it is really good. They all seem to have a kidnapped theme intertwined with a tragic loss and childhood trauma. Blade starts out wanting Pepper to get revenge for his brother because her father got away with murder. But then the tides changed, and he is catching feelings. Neither of them wanted love, but love always wins.
Pepper and Blade are exactly what each other needs. She has never felt love from her father, and Blade misses the love of his twin brother.
Beautiful story of finding love and letting love heal your broken places.
While the story had a decent revenge and kidnapping plot, the flow and events felt disjointed, and Blade and Pepper Ann didn't feel genuine in their interactions. I know that it is a work of fiction, but I wasn't a fan of the execution of this storyline or the character dialog. Then, there were a lot of grammatical errors, including missing words like it was a "fill in the blank" activity. I have liked several other books from this author, but this one was not a fan favorite for me.
Pepper Ann was tired of her father treating her as if she was less than family. She wasn't expecting to land in the hands of a stranger. Blade was fascinated with Pepper Ann. Him finding her in distress was the icing on the cake for him. Pepper's father showed no concern about where she was. Blade made sure that Pepper was well taken care of and loved. Eventually, she knew the truth about everything including his true feelings. Their love was beautiful. It didn't start off normal, but it was authentic. Awesome read.
This standalone is so lit. Pepper dad is a peace of s**t for how he treated his daughter. It would be nice to get an update on them. Her dad needs to get his karma and some. I'm glad Blade didn't do anything to him and just put his love all in his daughter to spite him. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
This is my 1st read from the author and it was a good one. I was light weight irritated with how Blade was treating Pepper and how she was accepting it. I understood they had child hood trauma that was blocking their blessings but when they finally accepted it and got it together you could see the walls coming down. Now that Harold needed to be handled and that’s that 😁 What we need now is a spin-off book with Axe & Cayenne and a catch up with the newlyweds and Blade or Pepper Jr!
I really enjoyed this book and was glad that Pepper Ann made the decision to not worry about getting in her father’s club and being in a relationship with him!!!…Her father irked my nerves and the fact that he continued to ask if ppl thought he cared about her was disturbing!!!… Blade was a lil touched in the head and Pepper loved him, just like he was!!!… I was glad his mother was able to talk some sense into him!!!…
Personally Dion was a dummy from start to finish, almost like he couldn’t handle things like a normal person like everyone kept telling him. Kidnapping is CRAZY. lol like he was afraid of rejection so he forced something instead. I enjoyed the book but he’s still a weirdo LOL pepper. I hope we get a story about Axe bc that’s who I care about most. Babes had sense LOL

Man listen. These bikers know they finna kidnap them somebody. Whew 🫣😵💫😂😂😂
Blade didn’t intend to but always had his eyes on Pepper. But he knew he had to get at her daddy first. But when she ends up on his side of the city and stranded, he jumps and ends up kidnapping her.
I felt this would have been a promising read however After a while it felt a bit over run with the same back & forth. It didn't build. It just repeated. Then like the character Blaze having no real plan for the kidnapping, neither did the book. I love a good kidnapping to love story, but this missed key elements.
Blade came in wreaking havoc, and Pepper stepped defiantly all the way. In the end the chemistry and connection could not be fought!! I loved the tug of control between these two, I’m just glad they did not let their stubborn selves mess their chance up on love!! Five stars Ms. Nicole.
Monae Nicole, what a good read. I enjoyed Pepper and Blades's story. To see how each of them handled situations out of their control. Pepper had a chance to live in ways she never thought was possible. Blade needed some softener inside of himself that he didn't realize he needed. To see how well they learned the ends and out of each other was good to me. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I love a good kidnapping story. This story was good from start to finish. Pepper Ann didn't know her world would crumble in a matter of minutes and Blade brought her to that reality. Poor thing thought her dad would save her but what she really need was the man who kidnapped her all along. Definitely a good read
This was okay for me. Nothing over the top as Blade reasoning for taking Pepper was a little lacking. I think if it was more about what a butt her dad was and redemption from there, this would have been a 5 star read for me.
This book was so cute, now Blade’s unhinged self out here kidnapping the love of his life. I wish Pepper’s dad would have met Karma but at least she got her happily ever after and a family.
Excellent story! This story was full of love and affection. Pepper needed Blade and he get gave and she took. I love the happy ending. Sorry her Dad missed out on a beautiful daughter and son -inlaw.
This story was short, but it packed a punch. It was different from other MC books I've read in the past. It's less violent, which I enjoyed. The story was well written, and it's my first time reading a book by Monae Nicole. I plan to read more of her in the future.
Despite all the drama, the kidnapping and her Father, this story was so sweet. They seemed so perfectly matched from the beginning. I think Axe and Cayenne would make a good story also.
Enjoy the journey Pepper and Blaze took together, the reasons they ended together was sad but things turned out the way they should have . Harold was indeed an donkeys butt; and happy Pepper kept him out of her life he would have only turned her happiness into pain.
This book confused the shit out of me. When did kidnapping, emotional and mental abuse become love. I will write more soon; I just need to figure out how to put my thought into words in a non-judgmental way.
Nice subtle love story with some pain and trauma built in. Both main characters suffered loss and pain at the hands of the same man, only one wanted him gone but in the end they decided that love would prevail.
