Wrenlee and Winter
Wrenlee is the kings daughter of the special elite society. Winter is the born and raised/trained to be a lord of this society doing what they are told. When Winter finally sees her in a different light can they make a relationship work or will they be forbidden to be with each other. Just know this is part one so it does have a cliffhanger and will be continued in part two. Lastly, make sure you read the trigger warning because there is some themes that might be seen as disturbing. Overall great book and I can’t wait for book 2.

Chapter 12 had me feeling like I had a hangover. The intensity of that one chapter was enough to throw me for a solid day.

As I moved through the story I found myself struggling more and more to put it down. Needing to know what's going to happen, who was next and if the MCs where going to make it out alive.

A thrilling read with spice and gore and love and hate. I absolutely recommend this to everyone!!

Buckle up because this story is one wild ride. Wren and Winter were off the chart. Both were dark in the used way, both had twisted ideas of how things should go. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. When they took her the first time, that was so hot. The guys were a huge a turn on. And the dad! Damn, he was something else.
The twists and turns in this were wild. I binged this book. No one was safe that were in these guys sights and I loved it. I haven’t read a book this good in awhile. This is my first time reading this author and it won’t be my last.

I didn't know what to expect - but geez this book was dark, horrific and brutal. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We meet Wrenlee and Winter, they are apparent enemies - he want's to break her, but she is stronger than she lets on. Dark forces are at work within the circles they travel, and the 'school' they attend - powerful men are pulling the strings and they are forced to oblige - at a young age they are taught to obey terrible, hurtful and murderous tasks -> do what you're told, no questions asked.
But, the connection between these two is strong, for some reason, they are drawn together - they are each other's lifeline - they come together, along with Stasi, Killian and Jax; this group is determined to find out what's going on - the lies they've been told all their lives, they long to unravel.

I can't wait for the next book.....

This is my first time reading K.A. Burton and let’s just say she did not disappoint! If you like your books intense with lots of action and spicy heat this is the one for you!

This is the first book in the Kingsman Elite series. Wrenlee and Winter‘s story is very dark and full of triggers! Not for the faint of heart! The dramatic plot kept me on the edge of my seat. So much drama and a lot of twists and turns. This is a gripping story. You won’t be able to put it down.

Somehow, I clocked the major twist less than halfway into the book. I can’t really remember what gave it away, but something did, and I was hoping it was wrong because I hate when I can guess the big plot twist.
This book was fine. I don't normally bring up editing issues in my reviews, but there was so much inconsistency with the tense it drove me absolutely insane. One paragraph would be present tense, the next past tense. Some paragraphs would have random sentences mixed in that were past tense even though it's clear the book is supposed to be in present tense. It just really annoyed me and took me back out of the story every time. Among other editing issues.
But my biggest issue with the story is that it moved extremely slow for most of the book. And then suddenly at like 70% everything picks up and we're in high gear the last 30%.
We know hardly anything about the main characters except that they both had traumatic childhoods. They spend basically no time together at all. Based on what I read in the book, their first interaction with each other was on page. They interact again like a day later, again the next day, a few days later. All negative. One semi-positive interaction. And then, like 2-3 days later they're suddenly in love and can't get enough of each other? How? I'm all for enemies to lovers but this was just an odd progression to me. Even if we tried to be generous and call it a whirlwind romance. It just doesn't make sense. At all.

Despite it ending on a cliffhanger, I'm not finishing the rest of the series. I just had zero connection with anyone in the book and I couldn't get invested enough with the actual story to be all too concerned about what happens next.

I dont even know where to begin with this review. I read the first two books from this author and was gripped with the amazing writing and love that was thrown into the storyline. Then this one pops up and I'm at a loss for words. K.A Burton threw me with this one. It is definitely not like the other 2 books. Not even close. This one is off the charts mind blowing, twisted and dark. You definitely do not see the twists coming and you cannot predict them. I will say this book was definitely different but showed off her amazing writing style and how different she can be with her writing.
I absolutely love Wrenlee. She has a past that she cant run from no matter what she does but a present that may or may not kill her in the end. She is strong stubborn and her character is so well written you can feel everything that she is going through. Winter is my kind of male. An alpha from the get go but when it comes to Wrenlee he soon realizes that he does indeed have a soft side.
There were so many twists and turns in this book that I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen. Some of the parts my heart was in my stomach and I wanted to scream not knowing if everything was going to be ok. But the ending lord help me but I cannot wait patiently to see what happens next. Yes you guessed it this book ends on quite the cliffhanger.
Overall a very gripping book from beginning to end. A book I will recommend over and over again. I cant wait to read the next one and see what happens with Wrenlee, Winter and the little family they have with their friends.

This is my first read by KA Burton, and I am thrilled to have been introduced to this author.

Wrenlee and Winter are both from powerful families, and when Winter spots Wrenlee, he knows he has to have her, but, she is the forbidden fruit, and her father in the King of their society.
Wrenlee is strong, stubborn and sassy, and cannot escape her past.
Winter is an Alpha male, who has a very dark side.
The push and pull between these two characters is well written, and the story line had me gripped.
There are plot twists and chair gripping scenes, and this book had me in its hold right form the start. The side characters are great, and add depth and character to the main story line.

Note - this book does end on a cliffhanger, but it is worth the tension and angst :)
