I'm trying hard to stay professional.

I'm trying my best to keep his tattooed biceps at arm's length.

Dex and Riley stole my heart.

There is not much I like more than strong, sassy heroines and cocky bad boys. Add in a mutual physical attraction with a clashing of large personalities, and I know it will be an entertaining romp.

Plus, when the writer knows how to pen a hot love scene, I'm a goner.

I don't, however, like the jilted slut hurling insults and trying to break up the couple. That one little juvenile tidbit irritated me. That's the reason it lost a star. It was a humorous read, though, and that humor did distract me from the icky woman.

For an author new to me, this book did not disappoint.

What a ride...

OK so I have to be honest here... After the first couple chapters I seriously thought of putting this one down. Dex was a total a hole pig and I hated him. Horndog is too tame a word to describe him. I was not a happy camper... Or flyer lol. But I kept going because my curiosity got the better of me and I had to see if the author could redeem him for me. The further I got, the more hilarious the bickering between Riley and Dex got and the more he grew on me. I was laughing throughout the whole thing. Their ribbing became less hateful and more foreplay. Dex was indeed redeemed and in the end I loved him! This was such a great book and I'm really glad I gave it a chance! This was my first from this author and I will definitely be reading more from her!

Buckle up readers...you're in for a wild read with Heavy Turbulence!! I can't say enough good things about this book. It's definitely one you'll want to read again and again.

The storyline is aces--who doesn't love a sexy pilot with a body to die for? The characters are fully developed and you'll love the back and forth between the primary and secondary characters. Sex? Only the best ever! This is a rom com at its finest, with characters you'll love to hate...😘

Believe me, 5 stars just doesn't do this book justice...(I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and absolutely loved it!!)❤️❤️

Sexy & Hot

5.5 Stars for this book! I really loved it! At first I wasn't so fond of Dex he was a prick. But he quickly turned it around showed he had a heart after all and his love was only for Riley.

Cancun was the extra story in this book and while normally that is something I don't like I decided to read it and I loved it more than the main story! I love a story where the jerks get there's and in such a delicious way. Tanya was funny and down to earth and Ethan just made me laugh with his sexy antics. So 6 stars for Cancun!

This one is a pretty low 3 for me. I wasn't a real fan of the plot, but I definitely loved the witty banter. Overall, the main characters had a great back and forth, but the male lead was too much. There's an acceptable alpha and then there's someone who is just a dick. He falls under the latter. By the second half of the story, it felt like the author had completely abandoned the plot in favor of smut. I just wasn't a fan of the style and it also bothered me that there were a few grammatical errors. I know its just me being picky, but had the plot been stronger I would've overlooked it.

I loved this. Dax and Riley had such amazing chemistry that you can’t help it not look away. Not only was there steam but there was also great amounts of humor that lept off the page, having me laugh out loud. Since I finished I’ve tried to think of all the components of the book, and I can’t find one thing that I didn’t really enjoy about this book. I look forward to reading more from the author in the future. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers book, it kept me engrossed from start to finish.

I particularly loved the smouldering chemistry between Riley and Dex and their interaction with each other.

Their constant witty banter had me laughing out loud throughout the book and there’s plenty of sexual tension bubbling below the surface which had no choice but to explode!!!

This is my first Kimberly Fox book but I will definitely be reading more from her.

FABULOUSLY FUNNY & DELICIOUSLY SEXY !!!
Title: Heavy Turbulence
Author: Kimberly Fox
Designation: Full-Length Standalone Romantic Comedy, NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Deliciously Sexy Stars*****
OMG! So darn cute! I loved, loved, loved this book! I adore romance, addicted to great humor, and completely infatuated with handsome bad boys, especially when they're sexy pilots, so when I can find all three in one great story, I'm in heaven. And Kimberly Fox just delivered the perfect combination in Heavy Turbulence. I've been a Fox fan for several years, actually since her very first book and have seen her grow from a fledgling new writer trying to find her footing in the vast new industry of indie publishing to an accomplished and very talented author who delivers the goods every single time, and Heavy Turbulence was no exception. Fox hit the ground running in the first chapter and kept her momentum through the entire story. Heavy Turbulence is a fast-paced, well-crafted, easy-to-follow, full-length, standalone romance filled to the brim with sass, snark, humor, innuendos, one-liners, and corny puns. I laughed, snorted, giggled and snickered through the entire book. I loved it! The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her perspectives. My favorite! The dialogue is smart, snappy, hilarious, well-executed and flows effortlessly. But hands down, my favorite element of this delightful love story is the wonderful cast of characters. They were engaging, endearing, relatable, well developed and sexy as sin. I was immediately smitten with the two protagonists, bad boy ex-military now private pilot Dex Jameson and stewardess/aspiring pilot wannabe Riley Jones. Dex was handsome, hot, hunky, flirty and dirty with a mouth that could make the devil himself blush. Riley was beautiful, smart, sassy, stubborn, and determined with enough hilarious comebacks and one-liners to embarrass a seasoned streetwalker on crack. Dex was wild, reckless, and a real fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants kind of guy whereas Riley was careful, conservative and a real stickler for following the rules. But together, they were a hoot! These two were complete opposites yet could not have been more perfect for each other. And once they finally did get together, their sexual chemistry was smokin' hot! I spent the entire first half of the story on the edge of my seat, wondering will they or won't they... But OMG, once they did, it was beyond entertaining! And, of course, we couldn't have a great story without a little angst so Fox gave us a couple of unredeemable antagonists that anyone would love to hate. It was absolutely perfect! Did I like this story? NO, I loved it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and steamy, dreamy sex. Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! Just as soon as she publishes her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Buckle up, my lovelies, it's a wild and bumpy ride with lots of heavy turbulence! lol...

I was hesitant to try a new book in 2025, but the intriguing blurb of "Heavy Turbulence" convinced me to give it a chance. Unfortunately, this book failed to deliver.

The story follows a stewardess and a pilot, with the latter making offensive comments from the start. While I initially found the pilot's character off-putting, the author's attempt to redeem him fell flat.

The flaws that were initially presented as problematic were suddenly portrayed as positive traits, making the character's development feel inconsistent.

The ending was equally disappointing, and I found myself wondering why I had invested time in this book. The only reason I finished it was because I didn't want to quit on the first book of the year.

The writing itself was often cringeworthy, particularly in the depiction of a Middle Eastern prince and his harem. The author's attempt to include exotic and sensual elements felt forced and stereotypes.

Throughout the book, I felt bombarded by random comments from male characters, reinforcing the notion that the heroine was a "plain Jane." The hero's sexually charged comments were also uncomfortable to read.

The portrayal of the harem girls was equally problematic, with the author describing them as half-naked and engaging in orgies. This felt like a lazy attempt to add sensuality to the story.

Overall, I would not recommend "Heavy Turbulence" to others. The writing was subpar, the characters were poorly developed, and the plot twists were silly and unconvincing.

Heavy Turbulence
by Kimberly Fox
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
WOW Riley and Dex, what a fantastic story! This is the most fun you can have with your clothes on, If you enjoy laughing while you read then you will enjoy Heavy Turbulence. Between all the well written twists and yummy steaminess, I laugh out loud as I read banter between Riley and Dex the two of them is just genius. Kimberly Fox did an amazing job with this story. I absolutely adore Dex and Riley characters. The story has something for all readers there is lots of laughs, it's well written, funny with steamy sex and not only is it easy to read but it's easy to fall in love with the supporting characters as well! The story and dialogue kept me captivated and laughing from beginning to end. The chemistry is faultless, passionate, enthralling between these two characters and I loved how combustible the passion felt. I am completely glued to my kindle. I couldn't read fast enough. I wanted to know what happened with this couple. You will want to grab this book and buckle up! The ride is thrilling and more than worth it! What a awesome romantic read that I highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book. Because I like sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.

Awesome, sexy, imaginative stories that come to life from the page

I got the version of Heavy Turbulence that included the book Cancun with it. My five star rating holds true for both books.
I loooved the attention to plane and flight detail in Heavy Turbulence; highfive Ms. Fox for your in depth research!! I really felt that supported Riley's character and just plain added a nice extra layer to a fun, sexy story. And Dex was frankly amusing. He started out as a cad but he quickly became my favourite character. Both the hero and the herione had engaging, strong personalities and their constant clashes are the stuff rib busting laughter is made of. Loooved it.
Cancun surprised me. I didnt initially think I would enjoy it because I dont like wedding centered stories. Cancun is more than that, though. A wedding is the backdrop, sure, and is featured in many scenes, but the humour, or strife, of the main situations made the wedding-y parts fade to the background for me. I am just gonna say it; I think I love Ethan. Tanya started out kinda doormatty, but she quickly turned plucky and developed spunk. I enjoyed reading it. I would reread both stories in a heartbeat.

I read Well Hung Over In Las Vegas and The Best Medicine a while back and laughed out loud through both of them. Kimberly Fox is the funniest rom/com writer that I've ever read. So when I wanted a light, funny read I went to this book and wasn't disappointed. It was exactly what I was looking for.

There was a lot of clever stinging banter between the H and h, and it was really funny. I loved how Riley could hold her own with this guy. I LOLed many times. But what started out as enemies eventually evolved into romance and they are really a cute couple. I loved Dex's sweet gestures, and there were many, but the flight scenes and the fishing scene in particular were so tender, that's when he won me over. Once he made up his mind, he was devoted. I'd want him for my BF for sure. And the sex scenes were exceptionally good. So for those who say they didn't like Dex…I don't get it.

The extended epilogue was great. Don't miss that.

IMO this is another hit-it-out-of-the-park rom/com by Kimberly Fox. She is a really funny writer and I will read anything that she writes, and more than once. She hasn't disappointed me yet.

4-4.25 Solid Stars

OK, so I saw this book and on a whim thought what the heck new author for me, a seemingly "quick" read which btw is all I have time for lately but hey that's life right. Now being honest, I started it and thought fairly quickly, uh-oh, this is gonna be a dnf for me I can see it:( BUT let me say that thank goodness I powered through the start because what started out rough for me turned out to be a hilarious and quite sexy story.

I wasn't sure about these characters at the start, I just was NOT feeling either of them but somehow once the "ruse" started OMG, I was literally laughing out loud. Now, I am not into the romantic comedy books BUT this one was so damned funny. I mean BOTH characters were great with their hilarious bantering, the quick wit between them, it was fantastic. Now add the "romance" part of the story and it made this whole story do a complete 360 for me.

I truly adored this book and will definitely be giving this author another go in the future:)

TITLE OF BOOK: HEAVY TURBULENCE
AUTHOR OF BOOK: KIMBERLY FOX
DATE READ: APRIL 17, 2017 - APRIL 20, 2017

HILARIOUSLY SEXY READ!!!!

I have been reading Kim Fox's books for over a year now and I love her work. "Heavy Turbulence" is an awesomely funny, yet sexy book. This is one book you do not want to miss. Dex is a pilot who works for a billionaire and Riley just landed the job as the stewardess for the same billionaire. When Dex and Riley meet, it is the classic meeting of two completely opposite people. One could say their meeting was “explosive.” This is one story that you do not want to miss. It has a cocky, yet arrogant pilot, a stewardess who can hold her own, a billionaire who wants to make more money and his wife is a spoiled model, a potential client who wants Riley and not yachts, and lots of fighting. Oh, yea and lots of SEX!!!!!

No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily and loved!!!!

Buckle up, sit back and enjoy the wild ride Kimberly Fox takes you on in Heavy Turbulence! I loved this book and it is one of my favorite reads. I really liked Kimberly's writing style and her characters were amazing. Dex is a dirty talking, sexy, alpha pilot who meets his match with Riley, the straight by the books, no rule breaking new stewardess on board. The witty banter back and forth between Dex and Riley had me laughing out loud and wondering what would come out of their mouths next. The chemistry between Riley and Dex is melt your fingers through your Kindle hot!! This is my first Kimberly Fox book but it will not be my last! Once I started this book I couldn't put it down until I was done. Heavy Turbulence is a deliciously hot and funny must read!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

When I first started reading this book I thought I would end up giving it a 3. Dex is a huge jerk, not just on the surface but a complete jerk. His actions and thoughts show him to be an arrogant ass with no redeeming qualities. Riley is just trying to keep her head up and do her job. He makes her life hell and it's no wonder that she hates him. Many chapters into the story he begins to be nicer and treat her better, but it took some grand gestures to get over his initial actions. He's lucky Riley is attracted to him which helps her get over his rude behavior.

The story has hot attraction and an interesting plot, and I did enjoy it enough to give it a 4. I just wish Dex had been less of a jerk or a jerk for less time. He redeems himself in the end and puts Riley ahead of himself which was necessary for me to be able for me to like him.

Excellent contemporary romance between airline personnel. Dex has become very jaded while working for a billionaire and flying him all over the globe. At one time he was a military pilot yet finds himself in this job position as well known for his playboy ways. His bosses wife has kept him dangling for the past few years. Riley dreamed of becoming a pilot but struggles to make ends meet. She's hoping this will be her dream job until she can become a pilot instead of a stewardess. She never expected to run into a person like Dex or the self centered billionaire and his wife. Needless to say nothing goes as expected. Dex is intrigued because Riley doesn't just take his crap and gives as good as she gets. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading future books by Ms. Fox.

Heavy Turbulence by Kimberly Fox is an awesome book. It made me laugh, a lot I might add, wasn't too pull out my hair, mad, irritated and smile with every new page. There is something for every reader. This is a standalone, no cliffhanger book. The characters are just amazing. I love Dex and Riley most of all. The witty banter back and forth between then is Oscar worthy. I'd love to be able to have a witty come back like each of these characters do. I laughed more reading this book than I have in a long time. It's just wonderful. I can just imagine what a conversation would be like with Kimberly if she is anything like the characters she writes. Heavy Turbulence will keep you engage with every page turn. I can't wait for her next book. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.

Dex Jameson...now he is one sexy Pilot. He brings a whole new meaning to "The sky's the limit" . His new Air Stewardess Riley is hot and sexy BUT they clash...big time. Riley thinks Dex is sex on legs but he is cocky, arrogant and winds her up badly. All she wants is to be a pilot one day , so all she can do is dream. Working for Marvin Gladstone is a challenge and his wife Kara is such a b***h. Now Marvin has an idea. Dex and Riley pretend to be husband and wife to seal a deal with a Prince and she will get $600,000 dollars bonus. Now the fun begins. Poor Riley, she has to deal with a sexy Dex, a bitchy Kara and an amorous Prince Kalib. What's a girl to do. A really funny story with all the banter between Dex and Riley but oh boy, do they go through some rough times to their destination. Loved it all.

SUPER ENJOYABLE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely loved this book!! It was perfection. Dex and Riley were one of the best couples ever!!! I laughed and laughed until my sides hurt. Some of the scenes are classic comedy... I would defy anyone to read them without laughing so loud and long that their family or dog, if they were lucky enough to have one, looked at them as if they were losing it!!! HAHA!!! And.. Their steamy, sexy, romance and banter was super swoony... the storyline was unusual and engrossing. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next!! Thank you Kimberly for not inflicting on us the drama of long angst filled chapters... That and the amazingly welcome epilogue made it a perfect read that I would easily give 10 big smiley contented stars if I could!!!

What happened?

I read "Well Hung Over in Las Vegas" and laughed and really enjoyed the book. I highlighted quotes that were so funny I shared them with friends.

Then I read Heavy Turbulence. What happened? It was like someone else wrote this. The book was listed under romantic comedy. I found no romance nor did I find anything funny. The pilot was rude and very unprofessional. Everything that came out of his mouth was stupid pick up lines. Riley's employer and wife were characters I would choose to never want to associate with. The "Prince"? Seriously? Was there a plot? Could have been but I was distracted.

Sad to say I was very disappointed. I am hoping this book is a fluke and will read the Caribbean series. Do I recommend this book? No.

so.. this book was not as funny as i usually like for my rom com's to be however i did like the story. I was hoping by the title that there would be a plane crash stranded element to it but nope... just your typical happy go lucky enemies to lovers with way to much reference to an indecent proposal and mean girls. I did like the fact that Riley wanted to be a pilot and she was very strict about the rules when it came to planes. That was a cool change in profession instead of the obvious choices that are in romance novels.. like secretaries, waitress, or just kept women altogether. pretty good listen. I still have a hard time listening to anything narrated by alexander cendese but he seems to be on a lot of the audiobooks i'm interested in so I just grin and bear it.. but his voice is very loud (despite lowered volume) and scratchy sounding. Noelle Bridges was okay as a narrator.

I really love, a sexy, dirty talking alpha pilot. Dex, is that and more. Then there is rules following, dreaming to be a pilot, witty Riley. I loved this book from beginning to end. There are times that I could not help it, I was laughing out loud while I was reading. I got some funny looks, but so what. One of my favorite quotes is from Dex when Riley put their suitcases in the middle of the bed, "You should go to work with Donald Trump. He could use your wall building skills." Then there are some sizzling hot parts too that would make me squirm. All of this is part of a well written story, that I did not want to put down, because it was so enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, as well as I also bought a copy. I recommend that you definitely one click this one.

LOVED IT! This was a great book that I would definitely recommend. Riley's dream is to be a pilot so she's doing the next best thing - she is working on billionaire Mr. Gladstone's private jet as a flight attendant. Her first day just keeps getting worse especially when her new boss tells her he needs her to pretend to be married to help him with a deal. Sounds easy enough except she has to pretend to be married to the sexy pilot that has been getting under her skin. Dex can't keep his eyes off Riley and when the boss asks him for a favor he plans to make Riley squirm any way he can.

I received an advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved it. All the bantering between Riley and Dex was a trip.

I reviewed this book as part of an arc program, I loved it! I laughed so much, I thought Dex and Riley were hilarious. The insults they threw at each other were so funny. Dex was a foul mouthed pilot who did anything he wanted whenever he wanted. Riley took a job as a flight attendant because she really loved airplanes and flying. Her dream was to be a pilot herself. Little did she know, but her boss hired her to pretend to ne Dex's wife and act like a couple happy with a business client. Riley agrees so she can earn money to pay for flying school. They hate each other and have explosive chemistry, leaving them both unsure how to handle it. I really loved this book, and if you want to read a funny story with planty of steam, this is one for you.

Riley, who has dreams of being a pilot, is as straitlaced as they come. She's a by-the-book flight attendant who is a complete aviator brat. Dex is a hot, arrogant, and rule breaking pilot who could care less about regulations. I love how they go head to head from hello. This book is infused with humor and steamy tension as they are thrown together in a crazy situation and forced to act as a loving couple. Great dialogue, and I could feel the frustration emanating from them at times. I wasn't a fan of Dex, but I ended up liking him in spite of his manwhore ways. Riley hates his guts before she even meets him. Dex is frustrating and slack about his job, and she just wants things to be perfect. Her only dream is to fly the sky, and this job is her ticket. Pretty soon things take a turn for the worse when they have to pretend to be married. True feelings start to show and passion soars. Some people just don't want to see them find their happily ever after though. I love that everything turned out for the better in the end. Dreams really do come true when love is involved. Another hilariously funny book by Kimberly Fox. The back and forth between Dex and Riley was a great stress reliever for me! Due to work, I haven't had a chance to do a lot of reading and I'm glad I chose this one to get back started! Where Kimberly gets her stories from I don't know. These two were coming up with stories at a moments notice. I laughed the whole way through. There wasn't much to the storyline which didn't bother me because Dex and Riley kept me entertained.

I loved this book!! I laughed my way through it. It was hysterical, at times. Dex is an arrogant pig...he really is. From the first time he sees Riley, he immediately starts flirting with her. Riley hates Dex from the moment she meets him. Dex knows how to push her buttons. The bantering was one of the funniest things I've read! Despite their bantering, they have to play nice to help their boss, Merv, convince a prince to purchase 60 yachts. Such an awesome read! I can't wait to read more books by Kimberly Fox!

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

3,5 stelline
