Morgan has been lonely. She hasn't had a partner for a while and she's growing restless. Since the popularity of a certain Vampire series in the early 2000s, she's found that she can earn her way into the bed of any woman she wants by suggesting that they might be the mate she's fated to be with. She has a mate of course, all dragons do, but it won't be one of the humans with whom she spends her time. It's worked well for her up until this point, when the object of her affections doesn't believe her, and now she has to work a little harder to get the one she wants into her bed.

Hilly has never been one for romances, let alone paranormal ones. When she agreed to pick up a book for her brother she didn't plan on being hit on by an extremely hot woman, let alone one who claimed to be an ancient dragon shifter. She doesn't believe Morgan, that would be ridiculous, but she can't help but feel a pull toward the older woman she didn't expect. And she's just curious enough to find out.

Neither anticipated that Morgan's pick up line would prove prophetic. When it becomes clear that Morgan's immortality is waning and they need to seal their mated bond, or risk Morgan losing her life, they'll need to decide where to go from here, and save their lives in the process.

Say It Out Loud is a sapphic fated mates satire novella with a respectable amount of sparkly vampire jokes, and the dragons have four legs and two wings.

3.5 stars for this one, rounded up.

It's cute and spicey, and rather fast paced (well, it is a novella), Fated mates, done decently, pretty much insta-love, characters that do grow on you, and well, dragons! There is also a four chapter bonus story included that takes place after the epilogue, which means the main story finishes earlier than you'd expect.

For what it is, it's an enjoyable read.

I really liked this story. It has an interesting plot; I've never read a book about dragon shifters before. I would have liked more events involving the vampire; the conflict felt a bit unresolved. The sexual encounters were really interesting and hot 😉, each one having a different thing going on, which made them refreshing.

I fully enjoyed this sapphic romance. I received an ALC from the author who also narrated the story, and I loved the way she brought her characters to life. They were very different, but their romance didn't feel contrived, and I love the bits of fantastical in the story.

Better than I expected

This book was better than I expected. It was short but still was good. It had spice, possessiveness, fated mates, love, HEA and bad guys. Recommend

Such a short and fun read! I really love their chemistry! I love fated mates and age gaps so it was perfect. I loved their nicknames too! The spice was delicious as well! Definitely recommend.
