Keeping Freya

Rate this book
T’Rak
Ever since the High Commander of the Sternotheri - our nemesis - killed my brother revenge has been driving me. Never did I imagine my thirst for blood would lead me to my Zarra. The strongest, fiercest, most beautiful female I have ever seen. Only problem is, she does not want me.

Distrust threatens to tear us apart even before we ever had a change. I am determined to do everything in my power to show her I am different, and get her to stay.

Freya
I hate space and I hate these freaking aliens. All I want is to go home. So when this big Arracate male starts to claim me as his mate, I want to run for the hills. I don’t like him, I don’t trust him and I especially do not secretly want to find out what all those muscles feel like under my touch.

I make him take me on his quest for revenge, but seeing him in action shakes the core of my beliefs. Actions speak louder than words and his actions scream at me to trust him.

Can I let go amidst all the trouble we find and lean on him? Maybe even stay?

Marit Prins may just look like your average nearly-forty woman, but you don't know what's going on inside someone's mind, until they start to write books.

Ever guessed that mother you wave to at school writes spicy steamy alien books? Or heard an ABBA song and thought how funny it would be if you summoned a demon with that song?

As a certified romance reader, Marit has been loving romance ever since she secretly found her grandmother's stash. American romance opened up a whole new world, and since she has been making up stories since she can remember - it was now time to put them on paper.

If you like crazy, spicy stories about aliens and monsters, stay tuned. There is much more to come.

When Marit is not writing, she is either running, cycling or sewing, but most of the time she can be found with a nice romantic suspense or crazy monster romance.

"Series usually don't get better as they progress" and that is where Marit Prins said: "Hold my keyboard."

I waited for this book with mixed feelings, Yes I wanted to read T'rak's story but I also knew it was the last in the series.

T'rak is out for revenge for his brother's death, Freya is done with Aliens and space, all she wants is to go home to earth.
They meet at a point they both think they are going to achieve their goal.
They are face to face, they lock eyes and...they both don't want it.

The progression from enemies to ok we might as well work together to everything was so well written.
Freya is no damsel in distress and matches T'rak blow for blow (which I love!)
There is tensions, growing tenderness and healing scars on both sides and I was there for it all!

A fantastic ending to the series (although I would not be opposed to more books)

I waited so long for T’Rak’s story—and Marit Prins gave us the best mate for last.

This book shattered me in all the right ways. T’Rak was already simmering in the background of earlier books—quiet strength, bottled rage, undeniable loyalty—but in his story? He erupts onto the page in the most perfect, primal way. And Freya? The exact storm he needed. Fierce, furious, and oh-so-human, she challenged everything he thought he knew—and matched him blow for blow.

Watching them go from enemies, to reluctant allies, to everything was like watching a war turn into a love song. The tension. The tenderness. The scars and slow healing. I felt every second.

And the ending? I haven’t cried like that since the final episode of Charmed. Truly. It was almost as perfect. A true HEA, not just for T’Rak and Freya—but for us. For the entire series. Marit gives us closure, joy, and a peace that feels earned.

If you’ve followed this series from the beginning, prepare yourself:
You’ll cry.
You’ll swoon.
You’ll whisper “finally” as T’Rak opens his heart—and Freya lets herself belong.

This wasn’t just a finale. It was a gift.

Okay listen, its no secret that I'm a HUGE Marit Prins fan, but yall- this one! This one right here?! It consumed me. I love aliens, I love smut, I love plot, I love adventure and I love animal sidekicks. This one book checked every single box. (EVERY. SINGLE. BOX!)

This story follows Freya and T'rak on their quest to find and "take out" the Sternothi high commander.

I'm not going to reveal too much but just know that this book is FULL of adventure, spice and longing. Oh T'rak... man hes such a gem. I can only hope that if I am ever abducted that he is the one who comes to my rescue. Hot damn hes an alien daddyyyyyy.

I truly hope that in the future these warriors plead with Marit to bring them back. I have adored every single one of her books.

The heart melting ending of The Arracate warriors series, and Marit Prins masterfully closed the series with golden key.
Revenge is the force driving T'Rak since the Sternotheri's high commander killed his brother.
As he borders a Sternotheri ship he found it already taken by a group of former slaves, and their captain is his Zarra.
But after years of abuse Freya is hard to trust and doesn't want him.
A soul-gripping romance, with a never ending of action and spice to curl your toes .
Well written, good world building, a well executed plot and characters well developed that steal your heart.
Highly recomend!

This was a fab finale with great world building and a romance to shake the universe. T'Rak is out for revenge but he never expected to find his Zarra, a former slave, as captain of the vessel he wanted to take over. The uprising took care of the Sternotheri and now he has to woo his mate so that she can learn to trust him... Expect to feel all the feels in this one. There's also drama, danger, action, healing and spice to keep you glued to your reader as they work their way to a fab HEA. I really enjoyed this series, and while I'm not a fan of crying, the author did a good job making me do just that. Lol! Definitely recommend this well written book and series :D

I received an ARC copy of Keeping Freya. This follows T'Rak and Freya. He is out for revenge and she is stubborn and fierce bith willing to do what is needed to survive their own trauma. They fight their feelings with everything htey have and slowly they accept it and learn to adapt to their new life even though she struggles to trust and he struggles to help her. But when they love they love fierce in the end. It was an emotional rollercoaster, i felt every emotion they went through. A brilliant book by Marit once again. 10/10 would recommend

Another Fantastic Read!

I absolutely adore this series so much. I have been waiting for T’Rak to fall in love since he was first introduced. He has been my favorite grumpy cinnamon roll for all three books, and it was such a treat to see him come to life in this story. As always, the writing is phenomenal and the story riveting, but the end of this book was by far the most satisfying part. I genuinely enjoyed it. I cannot wait to see what Marit writes next!

I was lucky enough to see this series's two last books as an arc reader, and from the first book to this, you can actually see the process of growing as an author!
I did give some feedback on the first two books insta trust and to this book, Marit made sure to write it a bit different and I'm so glad, it gave this last book more advanced feel! I'm more a slowburn type so this one gave me some needed tension...

If you like alien romance in general, you should give this series a try, I actually waited for this last book, they have been such an easy read, lighter reads, HEA in every book despite their pasts that are mentioned in the triggers, so remember to read them!

I enjoyed this journey with this alien race, my hats is always of to people who have the imagination to create an entire race, politics, worlds etc!
I hope Marit keeps writing and continues to grow as an author, I'm here for the ride and love seeing that!
