I messed up. I let my heart speak for my brain and I lost everything. I lost her. After winning a chance at getting my own record deal, I took my uncle up on his offer to go and live with him. My life changed overnight. Fame, fans and money. Despite having the world at my fingertips, I've never stopped thinking about her. As if the universe thinks it's funny to add more misery, they send me an Alpha bodyguard that I want so damn bad, but can't have. I can see it in his eyes, feel it in his touch. He wants me too. Yet, he won't cross that line. I can't just be a job to him, right? Will I ever find love, or am I destined to be a lone Omega, because I won't choose just anyone. I refuse to settle. For now, my job must come first.
*Why Choose *Contemporary *Omegaverse *FMC PoV only *Damaged Omega *Will they, won’t they?! *Slow Burn *Fast Pace *novella *Book 2 / 3 Fragile popstar seeking love 🤗 Oh my gosh well I thought Lulu’s story was said but Ally’s just as tragic 😣 be prepared for a lot of feelings in this one! It picks up in the moment Ally confesses her love to Lulu and follows how unfortunate and then awful circumstances kept them completely apart 😣 Ally is building her own life making it as an incredibly successful pop star and building a fantastic support network around her in her alpha best friends who are like her big brothers - they have heartwarming connections 🥰 sadly she struggles with her own love life in and honestly the way the story is written between Ally and Liam you just can’t help but root for them and feel their pain😩 she’s struggling as in the outside it seems she has it all yet underneath she’s lonely and just seeking someone to truly love her 🥺 but with the beta blast from the past looking to secure her happiness and that ending; things might just be looking up…..
I really loved getting to read Ally’s story and getting to know her. One thing I loved is the way she always thought of Lulu. Reading Ally’s side really put things into perspective about what things she has gone through and things she’s had to deal with.
I love her relationship with her band and the way they were like big brothers to her. The bond they built was strong. I wanted to shake Liam, Nate and Ally. Because they were in love with each other and I felt that I just wanted them to realize how they loved each other. They had good chemistry and it mad me swoon the way they finally came together. I felt like they each brought something to the table even though Ally is missing a piece.
I can’t wait to see how Lulu and Ally come together in the next book. This one just made me want to read that one all the more. I am excited for that story. I absolutely loved this one and can’t wait for the next. I highly recommend this beauty if you love omegaverse!
alisha has made this series concept SO DAMN INTERESTING!! & i honestly can't wait for more!! i'm so interested in how ally's pack here will form...its sooo apprehensive but then how these characters will join in with lulu's pack...ahhhh its just so intriguing!!
OMG!! What did I just read. I loved this book as the 2nd instalment in the Heartbreak Melody trilogy. It is a truly amazing read! The heartbreak is real, the feelings take you on a bender and yes you need tissues! Alisha Williams takes you on Allie's journey from when she leaves Lulu in the park after her heartfelt confession of the love she felt for her best friend. As Ally wins her singing contest the journey to stardom takes off. But Lulu is never far from her mind. Having learned that Lulu was drugged and abused by her parents and the Pastor of their church, Ally wanted to fly home and support her best friend. Unfortunately for Ally, her Alpha Manager Julia, made sure Ally did not leave and did everything she was told to do....under the influence of an Alpha Bark. Ally comes out as an Omega, and unlucky in love, her Alpha Bodyguard, Liam is someone who she gives her heart to and has it handed back to her. Knowing Liam has feelings for her hurts that he refuses to give himself wholly to her. Is she broken?? Why can no one love her? When invited to play a role in a movie from one of her favourite authors, Ally says yes! Finding that Lulu is Maya's manager, she hopes to see her, but she doesn't! Lulu makes sure she stays away from set. How is she to make amends to her best friend when she knows that Lulu knows she is close. Does she not want to see her and try to forgive her? Then she hears that Lulu has her own pack with 2 Alpha's....Gavin and Brady. This breaks her heart even more! Does she not think of Ally anymore? Has she forgotten Tangled feelings, hurt and love, having her first heat, wanting what the heart knows it wants but unable to get it....everything seems to be against Ally. Her best friends, the guys from book 1, Tyson, Skyler and Ryker who end up being her band as she takes them and her music to fame. They stand by her the whole way through this story, being the brothers she never had...Alpha's who are quite happy in the band and not looking for their own pack yet! What happens when they decide they have had enough? Are they going to leave her too? And the ending for Book 2.....well lets just say I am not happy. I so wished more for Ally and hope she gets everything her heart wants in Book 3. I cannot wait for Rhythm of Our Souls
This whole set up is so unique. I love getting so much backstory. This truly couldn’t have been told without it and it is too good not to tell. Ally has worked hard and overcome so much for her success. She has such a loyal group by her side but she deserves so much more. The ending of this one. . .my gosh. I can’t not wait to start the main story. I am dying to see these characters get what they deserve.
I wanna start this off by saying that I absolutely loved getting novellas from both the girls POV’s.
Ally is an amazing character. And up until her life changes forever she never really went through anything bad. She does though, and it’s so sad to see that she has nobody really.
She does have her guy best friends, but if you actually read her, I feel like she’s more complex because she feels as though nobody ever chooses her
Whereas Lulu is having the opposite problem in her book. Everybody chooses her she just never chooses them because she’s holding out for people who connect with her on a deeper level which she found with her two guys.
I also think it’s crazy how they were literally drawn to each other scent matches. (if you’re on her Facebook group that wasn’t a spoiler.)
I will say, I have this complaint, though. Liam. I understand he’s been hurting the past I understand what he’s been through we obviously read that book and it sucks and it hurt obviously but at the end of the day I feel like it’s completely unfair for him to have a relationship with somebody else knowing that she’s in love with him. Granted Ally herself said that it was supposed to be a secret relationship that he’s in, but I mean if she found out then he obviously wasn’t being careful enough and it just honestly makes me a little bit mad because she put her love on the line twice and got denied twice. The first time was an accident Lulu didn’t catch up quick enough and couldn’t stop her fast enough before both of their lives changed. But Liam is essentially rubbing in her face and I don’t like that.
Like I said, I understand he’s been hurting in the past, but it’s unfair to Ally. She just wants someone to love her for her.
I also can’t wait to see both women figure out that they’ve both been stalking each other for years. I find it kind of sweet actually, and I honestly cannot wait for the reunion. I was hoping with the movie that it was gonna be then, but clearly Lulu had other plans.
I also wonder how Maya is gonna react when she finds out who they are to each other
I just can’t wait for the next book and I wish it was already Wednesday

I loved getting to read Allys story and getting her side of things. One of my favorite things was that if doesn't matter what was going on in her life she never forgot Lulu. The same way Lulu couldn't stop thinking about Ally was the same way Ally couldn't get her out of her mind. Im so excited for tye next book bc I am dying to see these two finally come together.
From reading Lulus book everything seemed perfect for Ally and it all seemed like she got everything she wanted in life. Finally reading her book she did achieve her dreams of becoming a pop star but she had a lot of hardships along the way. She had to deal with certain stuff that really affected her mentally and emotionally.
I loved the relationship she had with her band. The guys were like big brothers to her. I loved the bond they all had. From the beginning they developed a bond and a friendship that could never be broken.
Moving on from them I just want to say I wanted to shake Liam and Nate. Those two (especially Liam) are so in love with Ally its ridiculous they haven't made a move. Ally is also as in love with Liam and is crushing super hard on Nate. I get their reservations about everything but I know they are meant to be together AND they know it so what's the hold up pls 😭😭😭. They had really good chemistry i can't wait anymore for this to happen. Honestly as impatient as I am Im glad its going super slow with her. Only bc its giving them the time to built a good foundation for their relationship in them becoming friends and trusting each other.
I can't wait to see how both Lulus and Allys story comes together.
Ally goes to L.A. to compete in a music contest at her uncle’s music label owns and wins. For several years, Ally is abused by her manager's alpha bark. After an incident after Ally’s bands concert, their manager is taken into custody.
Along the way, Ally meets Liam, her new bodyguard and one of her bandmate's older brother, and Nate, the band’s new manager, who doesn’t pressure Ally into doing something she doesn’t want to do.
I loved Lulu’s POV in Conflicting Lyrics, but having Ally’s POV of the past six years in Broken Harmony made me so excited for the full-length novel.
Ally’s been pining after her best friend, Lulu, for the past six years, after an argument leaving them living separate lives. I can’t wait for the two of them to reunite!
I enjoy the relationship Ally has with her bandmates. I did kind of hope there was something between other than friendship, but sadly not. Either way I enjoyed how they’re always there for one another.
Ugh, don’t get me started on Liam! I love him. I want him to pull his head out of his butt and be with Ally, who’s been openly pining for him. He’s protective and possessive of Ally and I loved it!!
I like how we’re “introduced” to Maya, who is Lulu’s best friend and social media manager. Everything’s coming around full circle!!
this Ally POV, in this we see after that fiasco with Lulú she came back and saw her mother put her in the car she try to came back for her but her mother threatened to put her in jail if she try to contact her, after that she left for her singing competition where she met 3 guys who she became closed to and she wins, the thing is she is was with a manager who is a controling ash... and because she is a Omega and the manager is a Alpha she do the alpha bark to manipulate her and do everything she wanted, SO for 3 years Ally is been in hell, she saw that Lulú was been in hell to but couldnt do anything, after a incident she was ask for a bodyguard and we met Liam who was throught a Bad experience with his former pack, he is grumpy but after Ally went in heat and Liam help that became uncomfortable and weird because she wanted him but he is older for some years and don't want to become attached to someone who is going to leave him to a scent Match he refused to give his feelings for Ally go anywhere, they discover Julia Bad treatment and we met the new manager Nate who is a old friend of the family and there years later we met with maya and in a way we conect with that story and find out when she met her and find out about Lulú she is with her alpha and Ally is all alone. can't wait when this two story conect and find out more.

“I lost her. And somehow, even with the world at my feet… I’ve never stopped looking for her.”
This book absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible. Ally’s story is raw, vulnerable, and full of heart. A journey through fame, heartbreak, and the ache of a love she can’t let go of. Watching her rise to stardom while carrying the weight of her past (and the memory of Lulu) hurt so good. 😭
The emotional tension between Ally, Liam, and Nate had me shouting just kiss already! Their chemistry, their pain, their everything was magnetic. And the band dynamic? Absolute perfection. The brotherhood, loyalty, and quiet moments between shows and studio lights made this story shine even brighter.
If you love: 🎤 Rockstar + Bodyguard Romance 💔 Second Chances + Forbidden Desire 🐺 Omegaverse Feels 🔥 Angst + longing for days 💞 Found Family vibes
…then Broken Harmony is going to hit every emotional note. I cannot wait for Rhythm of Our Souls because that ending? Absolutely shattered me. 🥀
I have done a complete 180 on Ally - after reading Conflicting Lyrics I was ready for some major grovelling for how she treated Lulu but Ally has not had it easy at all with her life being so different behind the scenes to how it was portrayed through Lulu's POV in her book. Ally's blow up may have been the catalyst for their time apart but my heart broke for her when it was clear how she never stopped loving Lulu and truly regretted her actions from the very minute.
The alpha bark plot line was so sinister and worked really well with the pacing of the novella. I loved meeting Ally's guys too and how they had her back; their sibling style banter was such good fun. Also very much here for Nate's plan to get Liam on board. I hope getting Lulu, Liam and Ally in the same room will lead to some healing as I am rooting for all of them.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
Man if i thought Lulu’s story was heart breaking, Ally’s story got me too. My girls cannot catch a break. Ally after losing the love of her life after a drunk confession and reaction (because who hasn’t you know?) goes to California and is finally living her dream of being a singer! Only to find herself in a position of being abused but people she should be able to trust. Not only that but she find herself an amazing alpha and he’s got commitment issues, braking her heart over and over. When things are finally starting to look up kinda, she’s back in limbo hearing about limbo and not know where she stands with her alpha and beta. I need this next book where Lulu and Ally finally meet because I’m going just as crazy. How will they finally react especially with the crazy amount and trauma and miscommunication! Lulus got committed alphas and allys guys are emotionally stunted so how does that fall together?! There seems to be an importance on scent-match so is that going to come back and be important? I NEED MORE!!
Okay, I have to say after reading Lulu's story, I wasn't sure how I felt about Ally but in true Alisha Williams fashion she made me love her too.
This is Ally's story and only from her POV. I have to say my heart breaks for her. Yes she gets fame for her singing but she is heartbroken and just trying to be happy.
I love that she found these guys to be her best friends and her band mates too. Ally is just trying to live her best life while thinking of Lulu.
Some bad things are happening to her that she can't tell anyone about. Also she meets an Alpha that she is attracted to but has some demons of his own too. Also, a Beta from her past too.
So much happens that I don’t want to give away. What will happen if she hears anything about Lulu? What happens when all these people in each of their lives come together? Need to read this to find out and need next book to know what happens when Ally and Lulu finally come face to face! Amazing book!
This book is Ally’s story, told solely from her perspective, and my heart truly broke for her. While she gains fame through her music, she carries the weight of heartbreak and is simply trying to find peace and happiness.
I loved how Ally discovered a family in her bandmates—friends who stand by her while she navigates life and memories of Lulu. But her journey is far from simple. She faces struggles she can’t share, meets an Alpha who draws her in but carries his own shadows, and even encounters a Beta from her past. These layers of connection and conflict make her story impossible to put down.
The suspense builds beautifully. What will happen if Ally learns more about Lulu? What will unfold when all of their lives intertwine? The anticipation for their eventual reunion is electric.
This book is emotional, heartfelt, and captivating from beginning to end. I cannot wait for the next installment to see Ally and Lulu’s paths finally collide. A truly amazing read!

My Review:
This story gave me all the feels...messy, emotional, and beautifully written. The characters aren’t perfect, and that’s exactly what made them so relatable. I loved the way music tied everything together, almost like a heartbeat running through the whole story. Alisha knows how to make things interesting that's for sure! Ally's story is so tragic but I definitely loved how it turned out! I loved the connection her and Liam have and I was rooting for them to work out!
It’s definitely an emotional ride with plenty of tension, healing, and second chance vibes. This book is short but you'll finish it quick cause you won't be able to put it down!
Thank you Alisha for picking me to be an ARC for this book🫶🖤🥰
This book kinda took me by surprise. After Lulu’s book I thought I had an idea of how Ally’s story would go. Boy was I wrong! From the outside, Ally appears to have it all. Amazing career, fame, fortune… But behind the scenes is the ugly truth. Sure, she has the career, fame, and fortune. But she also has an evil manager manipulating and abusing her, unrequited feelings for her personal bodyguard, angst and longing for her first love. She has her band and they are the best friends a girl could ask for, but what about when they want to settle down with an omega? Is Ally destined to be alone and sad forever? I can’t wait for the final book when Ally’s and Lulu’s stories come together and we hopefully see their happy ever after come to life!
After falling in love with Lulu’s story, I knew Ally’s would hit just as hard—and wow, it did not disappoint. The cliffhanger was cruel in the best way! Ally’s journey is even more devastating and emotional than Lulu’s, and it completely changed the way I saw Lulu and her story.
The mutual pining between these two is to die for. I’m absolutely here for a Lulu and Ally reunion, but I also need Liam to work for his place in their love story—Ally deserves to be someone’s number one, and I know Lulu will make her feel exactly that.
I can’t wait for the next installment and to see everyone’s personalities clash and intertwine as the girls’ pack starts to take shape. Bring on the drama, the love, and the reunion I’m desperate for!
I enjoyed Lulu’s book so I was looking forward to getting Ally’s story but I was shocked at how much I loved Ally’s story. I just adored the dynamic between her and her band mates (🤞🏻 we get a book for them in the future!) The push and pull between her and Liam was both incredibly frustrating and incredibly hot. I’m really looking forward to development of their pack with the new addition that gets added at the end AND when they finally all meet up with Lulu and her guys. I expect that the steam factor will be off the charts. I always enjoy this author’s work but this series may end up being one of my favorites!
The tension was high in this one. In book 1, we got LuLu's POV ,and in this one, bk 2 we're getting Ally's. And it is just as emotional and heartbreaking as LuLu's.
I want so much for Ally to be happy. Even though she got the career and great, trustworthy friends , she still feels alone and rejected . Her depression is taking a toll on her. Years have passed, and she's still not any closer to finding peace. I can't wait to read bk 3, to see her finally get the happiness she deserves.
As always with anything I review, please check the CWs/TWs as your mental health matters.
Phew! 😮💨 Alisha really knows how to put you through some emotional roller coasters. Let me start this off by saying I have a shovel in hand and at ready to swing at Julia, because my goddess do I hate that woman.
After dealing with the heartbreak of what Lulu goes through in the first novella to finding out our girl Ally is going through it too… it hurt.
And how dare you leave me a cliffhanger like that?! lol ughhh I can wait for the full length and Lulu and Ally!!
I am completely invested in this heartbreaking series and cannot wait for the full length novel to come out. After reading Lulu's novella you would think that Ally has a perfect life, living it up as a famous rockstar, but reading this book, you realize it's all a matter of perspective. The angst, the longing, the abuse, and all the other thinks that Ally goes through in this novel had me all up in my feels and I could not put it down. Now my heart is broken for both of them and I need their full story stat so I they can hopefully, finally have their happily ever after.
Starting out you feel so much for ally the main female character as she goes through losing her best friend after she told her she loves her. Then going to be a big star and finding out the hardness of being abused to her conquering the alpha who abused her. It’s an interesting twist by the way of who gets her through everything she forms a family and even with the mental health she goes through you can’t help but feel for her. Can’t wait for the next book where the characters mix with the best friend from the past x
This is Ally's story. This is a companion novella to Conflicting Lyrics where we got to see Lulu's story.
While Lulu was going through her own personal h3ll so was Ally, just on a different scale. Ally experiences depression, heart break, and abuse from someone who was supposed to have her best interests in mind. You do get to see the growth and the battle that Ally goes through just to get to where she is in the present day. You know it'll be a wild ride in Rhythm of Our Souls when Lulu and Ally come back together after so many years apart.
I won't lie, after reading Lulu's novella, part of me wondered how I'd feel about Ally when her time came. Then I read this novella and it not only made me fall in love with Ally, but has me so excited for where the full-length novel is going when time comes to read it.
Ally's hurt over everything that went down with Lulu was absolutely palpable, and I love that we got insight into how she coped with everything moving on. My heart utterly broke at each moment her investigations into what was happening were thwarted, and dear goodness did I want to throttle that manager a few thousand times along the way.
What made this one stand out for me is that the band are amazing friends. Nothing changes once Ally presents her designation; they all continue on exactly as they had before, and their friendship is truly amazing. The strength of it is great, and I know we'd all love true friends like that.
It's hard to write this review without giving spoilers, but I can't wait to see what happens in the next book; I'm so invested with these characters and need to know how everything pans out for them all!
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
Ally's POV from the night everything between her and Lulu changed. I'll be the first to admit I was not a huge Ally fan after reading Conflicting Lyrics. However, I trusted the process and after reading Ally’s POV, I'm heartbroken for both of these girls. The amount of garbage they’ve had to sort through is insane. Again, I trust the process, but I am so anxious for these girls to get their happily ever after. If anyone deserves it, it’s Ally and Lulu.
This was so good. I read this like in a couple of hour's once I started I couldn't put it down as these character's had me intrigued for one and had me wanting to pull my hair for the 2nd ugh. This is Ally's story and the 2nd book in the Heartbreak Melody Trilogy. If you read the 1st book Conflicting Lyrics she has a best friend named Lucinda, but she goes by LuLu. Ally and her are supposed to be going to CA, but something happens that just devastates Ally, and now she has to make the hard decision of leaving her best friend.
Now I just need the last book, because they're going to need all of that 3rd book to work these problems out.
Alisha Williams delivers Ally's story in Broken Harmony and there is so much pain and loss to unravel and delve into, that I could not put this novella down. Ally's story is one of those stories, you keep waiting for some big, joyous outbreak of happiness but her story is only just getting started and I cannot wait for Ally and Lulu to have that in Book 3. The writing was fantastic and I really enjoyed the different dynamics, and character relationships.
