Alpha of the Biker Gang

Rate this book
"What’s a pretty girl like you doing out here all alone?"

Hanna’s always been told to fear the Red Moons, an outlier werewolf pack and biker gang. Her pack’s rules are stay in town, stay with your pack, stay safe. Hanna certainly doesn't want to break any rules, not when her pack has already socially shunned her for being rejected by her mate. But when her car breaks down in Red Moons' territory, the biker pack's alpha, Dean Winston, believes she’s a spy and holds her for ransom. But at least they haven't killed her. Yet.

When Dean smells Hanna's scent mixed with his rival's, Joseph Armstrong, the man who rejected Hanna as his mate, Dean’s suspicions are confirmed that she’s a spy. But Hanna hasn’t been around the man who rejected her in months, nor is she a spy. With the clock running out to convince Dean of the truth, Hanna must contend with her heart racing in the presence of the enigmatic and grumpy alpha. Everyone knows werewolves can’t have more than one mate, so why is Hanna drawn to the very man she should be running away from?

When the two of them uncover secrets that her pack has been hiding for decades, they must decide whether to allow things to continue as they've always been, with the two packs simmering in hostility, or to acknowledge that love can even rewrite the laws of fate itself.

Alpha of the Biker Gang is a paranormal standalone romance with light omegaverse themes, rejected mate/second chance mate trope, a forbidden love in a rival pack, and features a quiet, good girl fmc and a brooding, dominant bad boy mmc. Sometimes you download an ebook knowing that you aren't going to get anything more than middle of the road across the board. That's what I expected with Alpha of the Biker Gang. I was expecting to get okay chemistry, fine enough world building, probably some cringey dialogue, and decent characters. I got all of that. There's nothing particularly revolutionary about this book. It's a mid-level suspense paranormal romance. There's a little bit of a hostage situation but that doesn't really feel like much beyond "we're taking you into the middle of the woods and leaving you alone in a cabin." The stakes didn't really feel high. The relationship moved at a breakneck pace to be frank.

I liked the main characters, Hanna and Dean, well enough. Sometimes their dialogue came off very stiff and unnatural which did affect the chemistry a bit in the relationship. They worked well together, I suppose. There was a lack of depth when it came to all of the characters that kept this from being higher than a 3 star book. It's an okay read with good pacing and a decent plot. Not much to write home about but sometimes you just need fine enough as far as a book goes.

looovee!

Story was so quick, I would have loved to read another 100 pages! Some of my fave things about this book:
- no third act breakup!
- found family/pack
- the fmc always feeling out of place until meeting the mc and how understanding he is of her! Never made her feel weird and was always so sweet
- her friendship with Henry was so cute! Loved the whole pack accepting her.
- an alpha thats soft for his woman

Honestly such a cute story that flew by!

I really enjoyed this book. my only gripe is I wish it was 1st person pov and I listened to an audiobook that used virtual voices(ugh. I know, the travesty. my Kindle is full and I wanted to read it lol). other than that I thought It was a good quick read for me. I enjoyed the plot, the flow and the characters. I can't wait to see more from Eva!!

Nice

A great blending of romance genres. Very well written with strong characters. Not what one would expect. A great read.

It was ok but the characters could have been flushed out better it all felt very surface level to me even though some of the topics they talked about were serious.
