I am a DC girl that is half Salvi and half Ecuadoran. I am happy there is a book that represents the Salvadoran diaspora in the DMV are. Our stories are rarely told and its important that more people know about our community, culture and people. Many of these neighborhoods Adams Morgan, Mt. Pleasant and Columbia Heights I have grown up around, went to school around and to this day still shop and visit my Grandma in. I would recommend more people to read this and understand the Salvadoran community that lives in this area.
