George Verwer, founder and former director of Operation Mobilization, issues a ringing call for men and women to follow Christ in dedication, obedience, and service. "God did not create us to live this life at minimum cost. What was His purpose? That we should go on to conquest and worship and joy and life in abundance." Verwer challenges Christians to re-dedication, presents the disciple's weapons, teaches how to press on when the going gets tough, and shows the way to a life of love in action. Here are a few of the provocative chapter **Discipleship in an Age of Tension and Fear; **Getting out of the Fog; **Love, the Hallmark of a Christian; **Disciplines of the Spiritual Life; and **Spiritual Balance.

Eléctrica exhortación a prepararnos para misionar, resaltando la importancia del estudio de la Palabra y del compromiso evangélico.
El libro me fue útil. Sin embargo, prefiero más un buen estudio bíblico.

Full of good reminders for Christians who have been saved for years, but better for new believers. There are likely newer books that will make some of the statistics more poignant. Verwer reminds us to focus on what is really important in the Christian life--total surrender to God.

It hurts to read these wise words from Verwer, yet there are more than a mere necessity for todays christianity.
