Surprising and remarkable, Nesbitt's best (to date....)!

Legend, book 5 in the Moreton Scientific Investigation series, is another remarkable achievement by Nesbitt. This time, the team is called to Loch Ness in order to determine the truth behind the Loch Ness monster. As with Nesbitt's previous offerings, the writing is on par with the most well known authors of our time. The narrative quality is unmatched, the plot fascinating and matched perfectly with the pace. Ben and Claire are a superb duo, balancing each other's personalities in a great yin/yang. Ron and the other secondary characters, and even the antagonists, are beautifully written as well. Legend is Nesbitt's best book to date, but his books get better with each installment! 5/5 well earned stars, highly, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys sci-fi mystery thrillers and anyone who ever enjoyed shows like The X-FILES! Just keep in mind that this is a book you won't want to put down, so be prepared to lose some sleep if you start it too late!!

The opening, event-filled chapters included: a monster / cave discovery, a secretive billionaire’s expensive pursuit, a disappearing mini-sub, and a shadowy group surveilling the Moreton Scientific Investigator group’s activities. These elements added to the excellent appeal and mystery of this novel. The story (and the overall writing) compares very favorably with some of the best thriller writers.
