I get caught up in a mafia shootout, and I guess I should have kept my eyes shut, because I end up looking a terrifying and gorgeous man in the face. Gray eyes. A scowl. And when the bullets stop flying, I expect to be left for dead.
But the next thing I know, the Bratva boss has taken me to his country estate, and I’m his captive. He says it’s for my protection, but I’m not so sure.
I beg my captor, but he’s stone. I try to escape, but he anticipates my every move.
Finally, he gives me a choice.
Play his game. I’m the prey, he’s the hunter.
If I can get away, I win my freedom. If he catches me, he’ll hold me down and take everything.
Run.
Nabbed by the Bratva is a sweet and spicy age gap instalove romance with an obsessed and possessive Bratva kingpin and his innocent girl.
Evie Rose writes gleefully improbable bitesized instalove romances, with heroes who are all-in obsessed for their heroines.
She loves possessive alpha heroes, age gap, tons of spice, forced proximity, pining, and swoony romantic bits. She's the darker alter-ego of bestselling author Eve Pendle.
Trigger Warnings include: this is a captive/captor situation, mafia/Bratva violence on page included torture and murder, primal play
I randomly pick up books from this series, and I always know I’m going to enjoy these novellas. This is now my favorite of the series! There’s kidnapping, chasing it the woods with rewards, and most importantly: a vigilante kingpin who spoils the bookworm by taking care of her favorite indie authors and booksta-besties! Kirill is equal parts morally grey and gentle giant. And Tess saw that first hand. They weren’t off to the best start. She witnessed him about to kill someone, he takes her as his prisoner for safe keeping. And then we enter a modernized version of Beauty and the Beast territory. Kirill is like a grumpy billionaire in a Pakhan body. He shows his emotions by spoiling her in ways that are personal to her. He’s not a people person, but he is a Tess person. And Kirill is willing to do whatever needs to be done to ensure she stays by his side.
My Favorite Quotes: • “I apologise for not abducting you at a time more to your liking.” • “I won’t break you like that until you beg me to. But I’m going to make you desperate.” • “Oh god!” “Your god isn’t here. Scream my name.” • “I won’t tell anyone what a little sl!t you are for me. How you need to come after I catch you.” • “Such a good girl. That’s it. You’re my good girl, taking my c!ck so well.” • “You think I’d let the woman I love get away from me?” • “I’ve been waiting forever for you.”

What a wild and unhinged story.😏🙃 It's crazy bananas, off the wall, but for these 2 characters, it kind of makes sense. Tess, 20, is walking home late from her job at the pub, and wellll.... she saw something peculiar. 2 men, struggling and fighting each other 🤼♂️, and let's just say, that one man, the bigger one, had a certain mask that lights up and it fell revealing his face. And Tess just had to look back and see his attractiveness and his long eyelashes.😍 Girl!! Ruun. Of course, she would notice how hot he looks.😳😄 And then he noticed her. Now she's running. Hard. Fast. Panicking. Keys are out. One path. Turn down another. There's her front door.... 🚪 Need to unlock it.🗝️ Ahhhhh. Nope!! Too late.😫☠️ Nabbed!!! She's going into his creepy van with the unalived guy.🚐 It's a serious and scary situation. And away they go.👋🏻 To the countryside, away from London and people.🥀🧱🧱🏰🧱🧱🥀 That's nerve-wracking.😬
You think you know what will happen next. Well, Ms Rose is about to put a twist in the plot and skate along the edge of romance, impulsivity, and forbidden lust.
🚩🚩Read the TWs. 18+ (maybe) read.🚩🚩
There's a lot of chaser and runner dynamics in this fast moving dark romance.🌳🌲🏃♀️💨💨🪵🏃🏻♂️💨💨🌲🌳 I'm not kidding. Tess runs and Kirill chases her. It's definitely foreplay.🤣🤣 I cracked up. It's a game. To gain the upper hand for wishes, exchanges between them. That man doesn't need anyone. But with Tess Summerfield, his lapochka, something snapped into place. Maybe his heart grew 3 sizes that night.😁✨🖤❤️✨ It can happen.lol
There's reasons why this Pakhan, this vigilante k!ll3r does the things that he does. Think Dexter Morgan.🔪 🩸🩸And Tess asks questions and Kirill, 38, shares them. Imagine a mobster monster, wealthy, powerful, a leader, spilling his secrets. He buys her things like books ((which I personally love, don't judge me😂)) and clothes. He cooks for her, makes her comfortable. Tess is crushing. They bond. They flirt. They get down and dirty in the forest. On his desk.😝🔥🌋🥵🌋🔥
The London's Maths Club and their wives. It's great to see them again.🥳 Kirill has been invited to join. Will he? He wants to share his extracurricular activities with Tess. Does she accept him fully? It's OTT insta but that's what makes it fun like a dark comedy, and a fast read. It's kooky and weird but not uncomfortable. One last run before making demands?👟👟😏 Tess, a young woman who always felt left out and behind, finds a person who needs her to stay. I can't get over that one demand. Half.🙉 Dangg. The epilogue is cute. If you want to read something different, check this book out. Nice book cover. Happy reading.*•>§<•*💖💖💖💖
👨🏻🔬🍭👩🏫Thank you to Ms Rose and Booksprout. The opinions shared here are my own.👩🏫🍭👨🏻🔬
Tess Summerfield works at a pub late into the night, dreaming about the future that awaits once she finishes her psychology degree. The walk home is never exactly relaxing, but one night, it turns downright dangerous when she stumbles upon something she was never meant to see: a masked man doing something he shouldn’t. Tess runs. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get far. She soon finds herself the captive of Kirill Yakoviev, the Pakhan of Blackfen. Not exactly the kind of man you want to bump into on a dark street. What I love most about Evie’s books is her ability to sneak humor into the most unexpected situations, and this story delivers from the start. Because Kirill, terrifying mafia boss and vigilante killer, is also—very proudly—a computer geek (sorry, he prefers the term nerd.) So, what exactly is a self-proclaimed nerd doing out at night murdering people? Well, that would be related to his little “hobby.” However, when Tess accidentally sees his face, Kirill has no choice but to take her with him. The real question becomes: what do you do with a sweet, innocent girl you can’t simply release? Kirill’s answer is surprising—he spoils her. I loved how he hacked into her phone to see exactly what she liked. New clothes, her favorite foods, and, most importantly, books. So many books. In fact, pretty much every book Tess has ever wanted. It’s honestly hard to hate a man like that. Once the initial shock wears off, the dynamic between Tess and Kirill really shines. Their witty banter is delightful, especially when Tess insists, she absolutely could have escaped if she’d just had some warning. That claim leads to my absolute favorite element of the book: the chase. The rules are simple. Tess tries to escape, Kirill tries to catch her. The winner gets three favors—anything they want. You can probably guess who usually wins. As both a vigilante and a proud nerd, Kirill is far more comfortable with computers than people and frankly a bit of a recluse. I loved Tess’s attempts to “socialize” him by encouraging friendships with the other members of the London Mafia Syndicate. Their meeting was wonderfully awkward. She even tries convincing him to delegate the more gruesome parts of his nighttime hobby, though interestingly, she never actually asks him to stop entirely and later even finds herself joining him. While the name Blackfen had inspired fear among the other mafia bosses in previous books, Kirill didn’t feel quite as ruthless as I expected. I’d argue that Tess had something to do with that. It might sound strange to describe a mafia romance as a feel-good read, but that’s exactly how I always feel after finishing one of Evie’s London Mafia books. So, sit back and enjoy! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
He turns her fear into hunger, and his control into devotion.
Tess is used to feeling invisible, so when one terrible night puts her in the path of a man she should never have seen, her whole life cracks open. Kirill is ruthless, watchful, and impossible to escape, and once he takes her to his remote estate, fear starts bleeding into something darker, more intimate, and much harder to resist.
What begins as captivity turns into a brutal game of pursuit, restraint, and need, where Tess keeps testing the edges of her own courage while Kirill loses ground to an obsession he can't contain. The closer they get, the more the real danger shifts from what he might do to her to what happens when desire, control, and emotional hunger stop pretending to be separate things.
Tess grows from a frightened, lonely young woman trying to survive into someone more honest about her own desire and more certain about what she needs to feel secure and chosen. Kirill shifts from a controlled, isolated man who treats himself like a monster into someone whose obsession deepens into real vulnerability, devotion, and the terrifying reality of needing another person. Their bond moves from coercive tension and uneven power into something darker and more mutual, where pursuit becomes intimacy and possession starts giving way to choice.
Ultra-steamy, dark, age gap, captive and captor, primal play, morally gray, possessive hero, grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, Bratva romance, where fear, control, and desire tangle into a twisted path toward intimacy. At its core, it's about a lonely woman who wants to be chosen, a brutal man learning that devotion asks more of him than possession ever could, and a love story where danger and tenderness reshape them both.
The Elevator Pitch: After witnessing something she was never meant to see, a lonely young woman is taken by a dangerous man who should terrify her, yet every attempt to resist him draws her deeper into his dark and obsessive orbit. Trapped in his isolated world, she finds herself caught between fear and desire as control, hunger, and intimacy begin to blur. What starts as a ruthless act of possession becomes a volatile bond between two damaged people who may destroy each other or become the one place the other finally belongs.
SPOILER ALERT: This review contains details that will ruin the story for those who haven’t read it yet. Proceed with caution!
The Quick & The Intense: If you are looking for a "one-sitting" read, Napped by the Bratva definitely delivers. I flew through this in about two hours. It’s perfect for those moments when you want a high-octane romance that doesn’t demand a week-long commitment. The pace is relentless, and the excitement level stays high from the first page to the last.
The Characters and the Heat: Despite the dark world they inhabit, the characters are surprisingly likable. Evie Rose has a knack for making you root for people you probably shouldn't. Even the hero—a murderous mob boss—has a certain charm that makes him hard to hate.
I also really enjoyed the steamy romance scenes; they were well-executed and added a lot of tension to the story. Their chemistry is undeniable, and seeing them reach that Happy Ending was easily my favorite part. I’m a sucker for a solid, satisfying conclusion, and this delivered exactly the closure I wanted.
The "Insta-Love" Factor: However, the book isn't without its flaws. My main issue was that it jumps right into the action. There is almost no character building or buildup beforehand—you are dropped right into the kidnapping on page one. It also felt a little unbelievable that the protagonist would fall in love with her captor after only two days. While I enjoy a fast-paced story, it was a bit of a stretch to see her fall so hard after: Learning he is a professional killer. Having her privacy completely invaded by his computer hacking.
Final Verdict: If you can lean into the "insta-love" trope and don't mind a story that skips the preamble to get straight to the action, you’ll enjoy this. It’s a fast, spicy escape into the underworld.

Another excellent mafia romance by Evie Rose, who always comes up with another unique take of the London Mafia Syndicate gang and manages to make me laugh, swoon, and gasp with each fresh new version. It is amazing how she can write the Kingpins to be a combination of sweet and brutal and make it believable. In this book, the sweet and naïve virgin is Tess Summerfield, who works hard to make ends meet, including working at a pub at night. Tess was on her way home from work late one night when she happened upon something she shouldn’t have seen. A man wearing a mask was unaliving another. Not sure what to do, she ran, not knowing that the unaliver was into primal play. Tess ran but was caught by Kirill Blackfen, the Pakhan of Blackfen. Kirill kidnapped her and took her to his estate. Tess was afraid of Kirill, but was also fascinated by him, too. Kirill, in turn, was fascinated by Tess. The book follows their story from enemies to lovers as they engage in their shared love for kinky running games.
The book is a steamy, dark, mafia, age-gap romance that features a well-crafted storyline. Rose excels with character development and world building. I adore the dynamics of the London Maths Club/London Mafia Syndicate. Their meeting was one of my favorite parts of the story. I could not stop laughing as Blackfen tried to socialize. The author’s descriptive prose is so good you feel like you are in the moment with the characters. Overall, this was another fantastic book by Rose, and I definitely recommend it.

Okay romance readers… this one had me hooked from page one. If you love a dangerous mafia man paired with a completely relatable heroine, Nabbed by the Bratva delivers that delicious mix of tension, danger, and unexpected heat.
Tess is just trying to survive life—working, going to school, and spending her limited free time lost in her Kindle romance reads (honestly… relatable queen behavior). One late walk home changes everything when she accidentally witnesses something she definitely wasn’t meant to see. Enter Kirill, the ruthless Bratva boss who solves problems permanently… except this time.
Instead of eliminating the witness, Kirill kidnaps Tess and offers her a twisted deal: if she can outrun him across his secluded estate, she earns her freedom. What begins as a dangerous game quickly ignites into something far more intense. The chase becomes charged with tension, curiosity, and a magnetic pull neither of them expected.
Kirill is the perfect dark-romance antihero—cold, calculating, and terrifying to everyone except the woman he suddenly can’t stop watching. And Tess? She’s the quiet, introverted heroine who doesn’t believe someone like him could ever truly want someone like her… which makes their dynamic even more addictive to read.
If you enjoy mafia romances where the villain becomes hopelessly intrigued with the woman he should never keep, this one is an absolute binge-read.
And honestly… a heroine who reads romance novels getting swept into her own dark Bratva fantasy? I was sold immediately.
Nabbed by the Bratva by Evie Rose is Book #11 of the London Mafia Bosses (London Math Club 🤣). This is Tess & Kirill's story. I have been looking forward to Blackfen's story... Evie doesn't disappoint! 🥰 It's a ṣpïcƴ ägë-gäp (18 years), ɗelïcïoụs ɗịrtƴ-ṭälƙïng, safe kidnapping-to-lust-to-love, witty banter, lol humor, masked play, chasing is their love language romance story! 57% - he falls first & 67% - she falls for him. Tess is sunshine, Kirill is shadows... together they balance each other out. I love that Tess wants to help Kirill with his *hobby* and Kirill helps Tess's book addiction by any means. Other London Mafia Bosses Couples pop into this story, which always cracks me up with all their interactions. Of course it has a HEA and future epilogues. 🥰 I definitely enjoyed this story!
...too funny...
“Why do you want to do this?” Because she needs it, and whatever she wants, I do too. “What sort of monster do you take me for?” I try to sound innocent. “A murdery one.” “Apparently today, I’m a kissy one.”
Well I guess if you have to spot a scary man in a mask doing harm, the least he could do was turn out to be a hot kidnapper as well! This was a hit right from the start. Another solid mafia book from Evie that can be read as a standalone but features some familiar people which I love.
She sees something she shouldn't have and he makes a decision to take her.
Boy does he...As much as he's supposed to be the bad guy, he's SO good at getting this h to melt. This is a serious topic yet infused with humor and heat and it was done so well. If you can give in after seeing what she saw and knowing about his mafia status...you can imagine the talented abilities he has to turn her into a puddle! The way this is written is so enjoyable and the two of them have some great chemistry. This is definitely one of my favorites of Evie's!

Nabbed by the Bratva is book 11 in the London Mafia Bosses Series and centers around Tess and Kirill. Walking home after working late at the pub, Tess stumbles upon something she wasn't meant to see. She witnesses a masked man committing a crime. She, of course, tries to get away, but, unfortunately, she's caught and becomes the unwilling captive to Kirill, who happens to be the Pakhan of Blackfen. Yes, Kirill isn't someone you'd want to cross, but there are so many layers to him that are unexpected, like being a computer nerd with a heart, and Tess soon discovers these parts of him, that there's more to him than just being a mafia leader like she assumed.
I absolutely love the chemistry between Tess and Kirill and the way he spoils her. This was such an incredible read, absolutely intriguing and well-written. I could not put it down. I'm not ashamed to admit I need more. Would very highly recommend!!

Tess is in the wrong place at the wrong time when she sees Kirill, the Pakhan of Blackfen’s face when his mask is removed during a street confront. He takes her captive because he can’t let her tell anyone what she saw. While at his country home, they both find themselves attracted to each other. Their chases and banter are fun and spicey while they learn to trust each other.
While this book is a part of Evie’s London Mafia/Math’s Club series and mentions some of the Club’s characters and their wives, it is enjoyable on its own. I would recommend this book and the series if you like Grump mafia boss/sunshine, older MMC/younger FMC, fake dating (in some of the books), he falls first, and dubcom spice.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.
Poor Tess is just making her way home when she sees what she shouldn’t have, so she runs but she’s caught and the next thing she knows, the Bratva boss has taken her to his country estate, and she’s his captive. Finally the mysterious Blackfen has his story, I’ve been intrigued by him. I loved that Kirill is fascinated by Tess from their first unusual meeting & he falls like a stone. So much so that he spends a night hacking into her phone to buy her everything on every wish list. I loved both Kirill & Tess – talk about chalk & cheese but they were perfect for each other & I loved how they chose each other. There’s also a catch up with the Maths Club & it’s rounded off by a lovely epilogue I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
This was a relatively quick read but it had a very satisfying build-up and resolution. The FMC, Tess, exhibited very realistic reactions to being kidnapped after witnessing the MMC doing something shady. She was scared and tried to escape and outsmart him. While at the same time, admitting to herself that she was attracted to him. Kirill was awesome. His POV really let the reader into his head. The banter between them was funny and hot at the same time. The things he did for her before realizing that the wanted to keep her(withing the first 12 hours) were just amazing. I love that there was no 3rd act breakup! Some tropes included: *age gap - she is 20 and he us 38 *mafia *smart heroine and hero *virgin heroine *primal play Spice - 🌶🌶🌶🌶.

A quick and easy fun read with the story of Kingpin of Blackfen, Kirill and Tess. Tess is in the wrong place at the wrong time- a witness to a crime that Kirill feels he needs to nab her and take her to his country retreat. There they settle into a routine of granting each other three wishes if she can outrun him. A case of catch me if you can. Tess shows Kirill that he doesn't have to do all the 'bad' things to people, he can delegate and also live a good life and have friends. He starts to think it is possible so decides to attend a London Mafia Syndicate's event with Tess. (Great to reconnect with other members especially Westminster - my favourite Kingpin.) Naturally a HEA for both characters and a fair bit of smexy times as well.

Nabbed by the Bratva is another sweet and spicy story of a possessive Mafia boss and the virginal FMC who becomes his good girl, which as always makes for a wildly entertaining read. Poor Tess walking home from work one late night with pepper spray in hand still manages to walk in on something bad going down in the local park between a masked man and his victim. Run Tess run! MMC Kirill, Bratva through and through makes an instant decision and takes off after his little surprise interruption and she soon becomes his captive, and not long after his good girl for real. Sure do love these nicely written, steamy, insta Mafia romances that are as fine as the finest wine and always go down just as smoothly. Loved the characters and their entertaining story which was the perfect late night treat of a read.

This was another fun and engaging read for this series and I loved finally getting Blackfen's story! Tess is on her way home from work when she sees something she shouldn't have. A quick run later and she's captured by the 'baddie' and taken to his lair...yeah, a mansion, with fab clothes, a new and loaded ereader and all her favourite treats. Lol! These two were so fun together but their games of chase were definitely on the filthy side ;P Kirill needs Tess' light in his life, and she needs to be loved for herself. They're a perfect match. These two made me giggle out loud, fan myself from the heat between them and sigh at their obvious love for each other. I also loved the time with the other Math's Club crowd, giving this story great depth. Definitely a page turner and a one-sit read for me. I'm hoping the author keeps adding to the series :D
Nabbed by the Bratva is the latest installment to the London’s Math Club. Kirill is unhinged, filthy and delicious. I gobbled up this story in one setting. Tess is a student, works in a pub and has no one that really cares for her. On her walk home from work one night she witnesses something she shouldn’t have seen. Talk about being in the wrong place at the right time. She is kidnapped by Kirill. Kirill is the Pakhan to the Blackfen Mafia, he is a computer hacker, a viligante and loner. He takes one look as Tess and his body knows she is special. Kirill will do anything for Tess but let her go. I devoured this story. Kirill and Tess both learn things about themselves as the story progresses. Kirill realizes he can feel and wants to be better for her.

Another fun, spicy installment from Evie Rose! Chase plots usually aren’t my thing, but I actually really enjoyed the way it was handled in this story—it kept the tension high without feeling overdone. The masked vigilante element was also a refreshing twist in the Bratva world, and the chemistry between the characters delivered exactly the kind of heat readers expect from this author.
As always, Rose’s signature banter, humor, and addictive pacing make this a quick, entertaining read. The main thing that kept it from a full five stars for me was how similar the overall structure felt to some of her other books—but if you’re already a fan of her style, that familiarity will probably feel like part of the charm. Overall, another solid entry in her mafia romance lineup!.

This book sucked me in within the first page, and I loved it (though too short!)
Kirill is a Bratva Pakhan, morally gray, great at computers, a sort of modern Robin Hood.. As he is about to kill a man -wearing his mask- she sees him and when his mask slips, he knows this girl will be coming home with him. The moment he sees her, and he touches her, the insta posession clicks, and he knows she is becoming his captive.
Cat and mouse games with delicious boons is the best way to describe their games. He wants to know and possess all things Tess, he is in since he lay eyes on her, and when she tells him about her virginity, the overly posession will not let him consider ever leaving him.
Steamy, innocense vs morally gray, passionate and utterly delicious.

I’ve become a huge fan of the series and this book is no exception. Good flow and speed. I enjoy a book that sets a constant moving pace and no long drawn out internal dialogue scenes. This author is good with not doing this. I’m n the book we see the villainous Russian that ran in the background of other stories in this series and other connected books, we learn his story and his connection with Tess help him grow but still keep up his less than ethical “hobby”. It was nice to see Tess join him in this Hobby instead of forcing him to change who he is. I really enjoyed this read and it has definitely been added to my reread list.

I’d been anxiously awaiting Blackfen’s story and sooo love it. He was so mysterious in past books. I really enjoyed reading about his activities…who knew they’d be so diverse! Blackfen is one of the more complex of the kingpins thus far, in my opinion. His nabbing and courtship of Tess goes on for several days. They have great chemistry and genuinely understand one another. Tess is perfect for him…open heart and open minded. This is longer than some other Maths Club books which I was quite excited about! Definitely steam with some elements of other math clubs relationships popping up. I’m so happy Blackfen got his HEA! The epilogue is adorable. Go nab your bratva boss! ARC via booksprout.
Nabbed by the Bratva by Evie Rose is a dangerously addictive dark romance that blends raw tension, forbidden desire, and the magnetic pull of a ruthless anti-hero into one scorching ride. The alternating perspectives between Tess and Kirill pull readers deep into a world where innocence collides with brutal power, creating a push-and-pull dynamic that is as emotional as it is intensely sensual. Rose excels at crafting chemistry that feels explosive and consuming, while still revealing the vulnerability buried beneath Kirill’s hardened exterior. The result is a story that feels both darkly seductive and surprisingly tender, keeping readers hooked from the first page to the final moment with its intoxicating mix of danger, obsession, and irresistible passion.
4.25 stars. This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a funny, sweet and spicy, captor/captive, contemporary romance novella between Kirill, the male bratva boss lead, and Tess, the female college student lead who witnesses him “working”. I enjoyed the banter between Tess and Kirill. I empathised with Tess’ uncertainty about her life goals. I enjoyed the immediate connection between them. I enjoyed Tess’ willingness to play along. I enjoyed Kirill’s growing confidence in his own desires. I enjoyed the spicy intimate play and was amused by Kirill’s boundaries. I enjoyed the relationship development and was amused by the inclusion of secondary characters to show balance.

Nabbed by the Bratva is a dark, fast paced romance that fully commits to its intense premise. The story moves quickly, leaning into the chase dynamic and the obsessive energy of the Bratva hero, who is both dangerous and completely fixated once he chooses the heroine. The tension between them drives the story, especially with the high stakes game that forces them together. While the plot is simple and very focused on the relationship dynamic, it delivers the kind of over the top mafia fantasy many readers enjoy. If you like dark romance with possessive antiheroes, dangerous games, and a dramatic happily ever after, this is a quick, high heat read.

Such a fun story that's filled with thrills, chases through the woods, and a morally gray hero who makes me want to never reach the wall. It's super steamy, borders a bit on Stockholm Syndrome, and has a man who wants to shower his woman with all the books and gifts she wants. And she wants to join him in his hobbies. It's a perfect match made in heaven. I totally devoured this book in a single setting and now am craving more of the London Maths Club. I may have to go back and reread this series from the beginning as I just love this depraved world and these mafia men so much.

This is a story about a billionaire mafia vigilante. Kirill sees himself as a man with a black heart, even as he metes out justice for those who were abused. He is an introverted computer geek. Tess is a woman struggling through life, going to school and working at a pub. Despite roommates, she is always an outsider. Her only friends are fellow readers online. When these two end up together, they find the companionship they both need. Tess brings him out of his shell. Kirill shows Tess what it is like to be wanted. If you like instalove, grey mmcs then you may enjoy this read.

Evie Rose is one of my top 10 must read authors, she knows how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. The story of Kirill and Tess is one of being in the wrong place and seeing something that you shouldn't. Tess is kidnapped and help against her will but eventually discovers that she just might not want to escape. You will be very sorry if you miss this one or any of the other books in the London Mafia Bosses series!.

I've often wondered about the Kingpin of Blackfen...
He was wickedly scary when he had a part in a previous story, and it left me with questions. Lots of them. What we saw of him then was frightening. And showed a hint of his "hobby".
But how he reacts to Tess is enlightening. Closed off, self aware and righteous in his 'hobby'... At no point does he believe he will ever have anything else in his life. Yet Tess awakens something long dead and his focus changes.
Tess sees the man hidden within, in spite of him trying to hide it. Delightful twists, changes in expectations as we watch him slide into his own wishes. I loved it.
Tess is walking home after work and comes across two men and sense danger. When the one man removes the mask of the other, he is shot and she is being chased. The man catches her before she can get into her home and he takes her with him. Kirill Yakovlev is the Pakhan of the Blackfen Bratva in London. He is a vigilante that hunts down those who hurt children. The pair have chemistry from the start, but she does try to escape. This starts with their bets who can evade who for favors. He may be morally grey, but he is sweet with her.

I think my ovaries might have just melted…. Or exploded…. Either one….WOW!!!!!!! I may or may not have said this about each of the London Math’s Club Mafia Kingpins….and their stories….but Blackfen and his story….????? Definitely my new favorite!!!!!! First of all he is so deliciously gray…. But also perfectly smushy inside for Tess…. You know aside from actually kidnapping her…and chasing her through the woods🤔😳🙄🥰…. Never mind that….he SPOILS her so well…. And DEVOURS her so perfectly…. He’s just the perfect morally gray kingpin…..I just CANNOT GET ENOUGH!!!!!.
