A Must-Read for Anyone Dealing with a Bad HOA!!
As a retired lawyer from the Deep South, I’ve seen my fair share of legal battles, but none quite like the one I faced with my HOA. To be blunt, HOA disputes are often messy, frustrating, and unnecessarily complicated. However, this book BAD HOA by lawyer Luke Carlson gave me the roadmap I needed to handle a contentious situation that could have easily turned sideways.
Luke Carlson did something most lawyers won’t: he took the time to write a book that actually empowers homeowners. The book had some great info about understanding the why of an HOA and the types that are attracted to running for the board. Had some great legal context but for the most part was on ly skimming the surface. It's a great place to start on anyone's journey to arm themselves against a bad HOA. I only gave it three stars because the info was so surface.

I enjoyed reading this book very much. My parents live in an HOA community and have had numerous difficult encounters with this organization. If they had this book earlier it would have saved them a lot of time in figuring out how to deal with this organization. I will pass it on to them to learn what I’ve learned.
