Once her guardian now her hunter Once my ward now prey…
The first men I put in the ground I did to save Saban Toussaint The last men were for her too. She dared to leave me while I protected her. But who’s going to protect you from me, pequeña amenaza? Once have her there won’t be any grace The man she once knew is gone. She eviscerated him with her betrayal Now all the remains is the viper. Cold, relentless, unforgiving. Absolutely yes you should read this book! If you love Age gap, Enemies to lovers, Captor x captive, Curvy girl x villain, Dark southern gothic, Outlaw MC
This gave me a glimpse of the old SOA Jax and Tara like literally a glimpse. To say I’m obsessed with Easy and Sunday and to see them again in Desperado I was so happy! Easy and Sunday are a top couple of mine.
Now don’t read any further if you don’t want any type of spoilers
Chapter 22 it’s not spicy but did I yell what the fuck out loud yes I did!!! I’m sure you will too! Come back if you didn’t because did we read the same thing?!
Chapter 23 that part of the song- What if he's written 'mine' on my upper thigh, Only in my mind? That was HOTTTT 🌶️
I don’t rate or give out books “spicy” because what’s spicy to me may not be to you! Everyone has their own tastes and opinion.
I do suggest reading the TW list if things bother you easily!

Once again Kenya and left no motherfucking crumbs. I honestly feel like Snake has taken the number one spot of my favorite Blood Legacy man and that's hard for me to say. I absolutely love that man down Do you hear me. Saban is a total badass and she definitely gave Snake a run for his money. But boy when he caught her put her through the damn mattress. I love everything about this book I needed an audio because this just needs to be an audio.
⭐️ 3.75 Stars | ARC Review Received as an ARC from one of my favs, thank you, Kenya! 💌
Really enjoyed this one and actually read it in two sittings. The tropes were solid: age gap (not my fave but it worked), touch her and die (no like literally), miscommunication (omds 😑), forced proximity (kinda), small town vibes, and our grumpy–naive–but–traumatised dynamic 😩.
Spice: 3/5 — that tattoo scene? Yeah, another one, thank you. 🔥
Characters: Sabine tested my patience a bit 🫠 and Snake’s constant back-and-forth didn’t help either 😭. Still, it was nice seeing cameos from everyone else in the series, love a good full-circle moment.
Overall, really enjoyed it despite a few frustrations. Kenya never misses with the tension and atmosphere.

This was written badly. The language did not flow or always make sense so made the story very hard to follow. Story was boring the parts ai understood I expected more from guardian ward romance
My bad y'all, life has been lifin but I needed to get this one done!
Once again, Kenya left had me stuck 🔥 From the first page, this book had me in a chokehold and didn’t let go.
Let me start by saying, Snake has officially taken the book bae spot. And that’s saying a lot because that list was locked tight before this one dropped. His whole demeanor is everything...forreal!! He’s cold, loyal, dangerous, and smooth, very dangerous. 😮💨
And Saban? Loved her. She definitely took Snake through it. Listen, Saban was holding her ground, reminding everybody she wasn’t the one or the two. But when Snake finally got her where he wanted her? Whew, I had to put that book down and grab some water. 😭🔥
What keeps me locked into Desperado is how Kenya always finds new angles to tell these stories familiar faces, fresh storylines, and layers that hit every emotion. Snake and Saban’s history goes back years, and watching that slow build turn into an all-out wildfire was the kind of payoff that feels earned. Every moment between them had weight every look, every word, every spark.
Kenya did what needed to be done, again! The way she spins these connected worlds, slides in old POVs, and still gives us something brand new every time, its giving great storytelling.
Desperado" is a book that genuinely captivated me, and I am thrilled to discover that it’s part of a series. The author has an impressive talent for weaving together multiple storylines within the series without falling into the trap of repetition. Each narrative is fresh and compelling, creating a rich tapestry of interconnected tales. In particular, the story of Snake and Saban stands out as uniquely profound. Their connection spans over a decade, which adds layers to their relationship that are both complex and relatable. I found myself drawn to Saban's witty sass and the strong, alpha presence of Snake, creating an engaging dynamic that kept me turning the pages. Throughout the book, they confront numerous challenges and battles, both external and internal, which only serve to enhance their journey toward love. The way their experiences unfold is beautifully crafted, making their eventual union feel earned and heartfelt.
Additionally, I’m eager to learn more about Oz, a character who piqued my curiosity. I can’t wait for the next installment to see how the stories continue to intertwine and evolve!
Desperado by Kenya Goree-Bell is one of those books that grabs you by the collar from page one and does not let go. This story is gritty, seductive, and unapologetically raw. Every chapter feels like a slow burn mixed with a loaded gun, dangerous, intimate, and addictive. The characters are layered, flawed, and magnetic in a way that makes you feel like you’re living inside their decisions, not just watching them unfold. The tension is thick, the emotion is real, and the storytelling has that cinematic edge where you can see every look, every move, every consequence.
What really seals the deal is the voice. Confident, bold, and fearless. This is not a safe read, and that is exactly why it hits so hard. It explores desire, survival, power, and vulnerability without watering anything down. By the time you finish, you are sitting there like damn. One of those books that leaves you staring at the wall for a minute, replaying scenes in your head. Pure heat, pure substance, pure run it back. This book did not just deliver. It devoured. 🔥🍯
Baby, when I say I have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint I have to say that I enjoyed this book the most in the series. Even if you haven't read the prior books in the series it has a good flowing storyline that you can catch up on the prior events as it is told in MMC and FMC POV. The chemistry between the leads is chef kiss. Snake was domineering, protective and understanding until he was crossed and became a little of a ass but he was redeemable. The back story of Saban and how Snake risked his and his family life was harrowing and really set the dark but hopeful tone to the book. The guardian/aide troupe was done so well. I loved them together and also how each character saw future and present ramifications for their choices, actions and burgeoning relationship and how it would play out with the people around them. We get to see the characters observation of other burgeoning relationships in the town of Shelby which was also fun.
I loved every bit of this book! I can tell KGB took her time with this one. It’s more detailed and the pieces from the previous book come together so beautifully. I love how even though this is considered dark, there are still romantic gestures happening between the characters. You have this big bad biker who’s willing to unalive any and everyone who even looks at his woman. But he still does romantic things for her. He still caters to her needs. I love how the story ended. And just seeing that glimpse of Crimson and Padre makes me want their story even more! Can’t wait for their book!
For anyone that was obsessed with Easy Like Sunday morning and want to get your next fix of Angel and Easy or want to double back on Kandi Shoppe, Desperado is the book for you.
Reliving all of the suspense moments but from a different POV was just what I needed. Sabine and Snake were the most natural forbidden relationship I've ever read. Somehow Kenya pulled off a guardian/ward dynamic without it being creepy, especially given the very harsh topics at hand.
Per usual I'm left waiting for the next cousin to get their story. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be Crimson and Padre but I'm begging to get my hands on Oz's story!!!
*ARC Reader* Desperado does not disappoint! From page one this book had me in a chokehold. Saban and Snakes story has been one that has been teased in past books and it delivers. This story gets you reacquainted with characters from past books, but it also gives another vantage point of Angel and Easy’s story. This book had so much action in it and as always, a super strong FMC that had me stressed out that’s book also contains some serious spice that is not for the faint at heart. This five star book is a must read, I mean immediately.
Excellent book. I have been waiting for this book since Snake ans Saban characters were mentioned in the previous series books. I loved the spice, conflict and resolution that was reached. KGB is an amazing story teller and she is able to not only have flash back sences from the pervious book from each characters POV but she is also able to set new characters story's to come. This book is a must read and will be read a few times because you will love it as much as I did. I am part of the ARC team and given an advanced copy for an honest review. Get the book, you will enjoy it.
Another great book by KGB. I loved it couldn’t get enough of the story. The theme was ward and guardian and the up and down of their relationship. With a MC vibe and all the spicy messy in between. This is a must read will suggest read the other books in series because they have dual time lines and will get better reading experience if read from the beginning. This author is must buy/ click for me and I continue to be wow by the stories. Please pick up you will not be disappointed. Enjoy reading!
Yayyy I was so happy to get another book with the El diablos! EZ and Angel hold a special place in my heart! It was awesome seeing their story from another pov!
Snake and Sabines story was just as wild! From savior to guardian to the one she falls for! I ate this up!
Of course they had to go through some trauma before their HEA!
I would love Sabine to tattoo me! Something about a female tattoo artist that is so sooo hot!
Saban is a Haitian girl after my own heart. She is intense, passionate, and layered in all the best ways. Snake is unhinged in the best possible way. Kenya has a gift for weaving love stories that unfold simultaneously from each MMC and FMC's point of view, and she does so seamlessly. The way she intertwines their emotions, struggles, and chemistry makes you feel like you’re living right alongside them.
Every chapter pulls you in deeper. Every perspective adds another spark. And every moment reminds you why this series is truly unmatched. A fantastic read from start to finish!
I loved the story for Snake and Sabine. Although we are seeing the same events from earlier books in understand why it’s done. We are seeing everything from their pov since their events happened at the same time as others! It’s a good tie in. I loved how we got more history for Shelby-Love as well as introductions to more couples!
Snake and Sabines story is one of deep trauma and a heated tension between the two and seeing them come together in the end was worth the read. So excited for the next!
I patiently waited for this book, as I was completely intrigued by Snake & Sabine from the previous Blood Legacy 📚😍. Desperado is a top tier dark romantic suspense novel with equal amounts of drama & spice that runs throughout the entire exciting series. The epilogue was the chef's💋. Do seriously heed the ✍️s CWs & TWs as parts of this tale are definitely not for the weak of heart; & if you're easily triggered, it's best to just bypass this one!!! My fellow dark ❤girlies will relish Desperado🍷
Great addition to this series ess waiting patiently to read Snake and Sabe book, ever since she left with Easy.. The author didn't disappoint with this guardian/ ward book.. It had everything you could think of besides being age gap it had desperation, it had lost family found, smut lol... It was very detailed regarding how the MC handled betrayal but was a great read...
Snake and Sabine made quite the pair. They went through the fire together because snake saved her as a child. Snake has been fighting his feelings for Sabine because of the age gap. He feels he is to old for. Sabine says I am not a little girl anymore; I am a woman. They have a lot of problems they have to fight their way through. Will they be able to forgive each other?
I have been waiting to get the back story of Snake and Saban and let me tell you..they did not let me down! Two tortured souls trying to navigate or in Snake's case suppress feelings all while dealing with small town fueds and secrets. I could not read this book fast enough!
I like this book, and I love this story, and I love how they tell you all the details of the trafficking ring, but it’s still sad to hear that a lot of people are going through, especially now in 2025, because it happensnow with those camps that hold illegal children
Well worth the wait!!! I have been waiting for Snake and Saban's story for some time. The age gap, and falling in ❤️ with his ward is so taboo. Neither of them could ignore what should be forbidden, which is their undying love for eachother.
Yeah, I’m done with this author. How do her books get progressively worse?! This book had so much yet nothing of worth. We got more about previous characters than the two leads, wtf. And a shitty job at bdsm and consent. Absolute waste of time.
Hadrian was one snake I wouldn't mind having in my corner. That man did not play about those he loved and he definitely didn't play about Saban. He could be my La Serpentine anyday.
You can never go wrong with reading a book by @Kenya Goree Bell, you get hooked from the beginning of the book until you finish the reading it, we get to know more about Snake and Saban's story, how they met each other, I would suggest to start reading The Blood Legacy series 🤗
I wasn't that excited about this couple, but the more I read, the more excited I became. The spelling and grammatical errors need to be addressed. It was a good book.
