Her curiosity to explore what seems to be trapped within her leads to a fateful encounter with a mysterious tradesman. When he sells her a promising stone, a hidden path toward becoming a Light Enchanter begins to unfold.

However, crafting Light Enchantments will soon be the least of her challenges as she discovers a connection to a raw and dangerous force that mirrors the power wielded by the kingdom’s most formidable enemy. As she unravels the mysteries of the shadows and learns to harness their true potential, she must also confront the truth of her own identity.

Story is alright

I thought the story was pretty good but the writing wasn't quite there yet. I look forward to seeing future books by this author when their writing becomes more polished. Although, to be fair, even I don't know exactly what I mean by that.

easy reading and a good tale

Character development better than average, well constructed supernatural world, and suggestions of further plot development. A short story that may well develop in time.

Interesting from the first paragraph!

I liked the MC. She hasn't let her circumstances sully her character or dampen her enthusiasm. I loved the emphasis upon the light versus the dark in individuals as well as the world building. A great read. I'm off to read it again.

A very good story

I love coming of age stories. This. Is one that was difficult to put down. In fact when I woke during the night, I got up and read for two hour. I look forward to the sequel

I’m quite intrigued and want to learn more! The only thing unrealistic here is how quickly the female protagonist learns how to use magic. I love everything else, down to the love triangle!!
